The goal for today was to try and find a few geocaches around the Gold Coast in order to claim my 1000th find! We approached GZ and started our search in the likely area. When we weren't able to locate the geocache I stepped onto the pathway to search the other side of the bushes and found the container and contents all over the grass. (attached is a photo of how I found it) I tried the best I could to get rid of the water and fix the soggy paper. I rehid the geocache in the spot I thought it came from. TFTC.
After reading about weekday activity went down on a quiet Sunday arvo. Scoured where my phone told me, got a few scratches, couldn't find. Had one last look and sighted cache and couldn't believe how I could have missed it!! TFTC
Nice find while going from cache to cache today.
Thanks for the fun!
LOG STILL WET HERE

LOG STILL WET HERE
Good spot and a little bit tricky. Box was filled with water and unable to write on log.
Pulling up in the quiet street here, I was glad that it was a Sunday afternoon. Heading across the deserted area I ducked my head down and looked along and was pleased to spot this nice big hide. That makes both Fairies caches having been found.
Thanks to ash & shaun1003.
Thanks to ash & shaun1003.
Found on our second visit. No gardener here today to soil our fun. Get down low ...
Second visit to this one ... no muggle gardener to spoil our fun this time. Best to visit on the weekend when childcare is closed. Easy find as long as you are prepared to get down low & forridge. Seal back well so ants don't make it their home. Took TB Troll X1GJ5G so can continue his journey. Now off to find Fairies #1
We had a quick look around, but David was quite uncomfortable searching the bushes outside a childcare establishment. Discretion took priority, so no luck for us here today. Our thanks anyway to ash&shaun1003.
Found it!! Great spot... Was filled and covered in ants though... Tried to clear out best we could put new treasures in
I visited this at nighttime as its been very busy when I visited in the day time. Just a few rustling noises in the bushes that were a bit alarming but cache easily found and logbook signed.
No trackable in the cache.

I needed to drop off a traveller so was very happy to spot this cache on the list. Should be Room in that!
When i arrived i thought that i could be in for a bit of a hunt, but the container was quite exposed... it looked like it had just been thrown into the garden it was upside diwn with the lid off it a bit. I was worried that it may have been muggled but the contents look ok, but its a bit moist inside including the log book. I signed it and dropped the TB in, then placed the cache back a little more hidden away. Not sure if its the right place though so the CO may wish ti check on it.
Cheers ash and shaun for a good sized geocache placement. Much obliged.

Nice and easy cache, almost ran into a large spider while searching through the bushes. When I found it, the top was covered in wet leaves and it smelled quite bad. Anyway, tftc, great cache, and I wish you the best. ^^
Took us ages to find... Co odds were off. You will need to search a few steps down from the two trees. Hope that helps
This was our first try at Geocache with my 8 year old twins. The girls had so much fun looking for it and after about an hour my daughter picks it up and said " what's this?"
Unfortunately the logbook was soaking wet and was too difficult to write on although we did give it a go. We also placed a small green leave inside to prove that we had found it. Thank you so much it was a great hunt. Melwood75

Early this morning, I picked up IolantheK. We set out to find a few caches on our way to an event this afternoon. I had a few selected that I needed for a challenge cache, but left the rest of the choices to her. We liked the name of this one, so headed to find it. We parked nearby and were a bit disappointed to find that GZ was in front of a child care centre. At least it was Sunday, so there was no one else around. We searched and searched for this one. Upon expanding the search, I located the cache. I had to empty water from the cache, so, of course the log was wet. Luckily, I had my "write anywhere" pen with me, so we were able to sign the log. We returned the cache to where we found it and headed off to the next one
Road tripping today with Selva Girls We set off at 7am today from north Brisbane and are heading to Mt Tamborine to attend an Event this afternoon. Some selected caches will be targeted along the way to help SG finish a Challenge cache, plus a few extras
This one gave us some grief Not a fan of searching right outside a day care centre, so a good thing it was a Sunday. And searching in this type of hiding spot is very difficult... And the co-ords were off a little for us, so it was definitely get down and dirty here Very glad when SG called out she'd got it. TFTC. ash&shaun1003.

Box still wet inside, also the plastic bag for the log book ist wet so it might needs a new one.
Finally found it after a little bit of searching. Lots of rubbish to contend with. Cache is wet inside but still able to sign log and trade.
Found it and left a Travel Bug trying to get to WA. Pushed the cache further back so it wasn't so easy to see from the footpath.
Found this one fairly quickly, traded a little toy for some wet items that needed disposing. This cache needs a good dry out!

The kids loved finding all the little toys inside to pick from, we left some pretty pink nail polish
Our Easter Sunday Hunt!
This was our second find for the day GPS was a little off but found it very quickly.
Thanks for the cache

Good find! Keep looking - a quiet day is best when everything is closed Just off the beaten path... Happy hunting!
The garden has been cleared and pruned recently. I couldn't spot the cache. Can't say it is not there but I think it should be checked.
After a case of cache blindness in October last year which resulted in a DNF, luck was on my side today with a find! The area was a lot cleaner than my last visit which was nice to see. Cache was wet inside but otherwise in good condition. I dried everything as best I could. Logbook not damp.
Found with dee_80
Cheers!

Finally a nice enough day to go out and explore some areas for caches, north or south and we ended up picking south and headed off.
This was the first cache for the day found this at 1.40pm cute little log book, Cords off a bit picture helped one without destroying all the plants.
TFTC signed and replaced.

We had to come back a second time and finally found it! Took a little something and made a replacement
After seeing a couple of did not finds I was wondering if I was going to have a 0 smile for this one. With Geo dog on full pursuit we had this in a few moments. I just looked in what seemed the most logical spot and, Yes it was there. All in good shape after all the rain we have had.
Thank you for the Cache, I was glad we could put a smile after the couple of DNF.

Eww lots of junk food rubbish and a bong behind a concrete block-top out front of a child-care, but no cache to be found this time. The X-ray glasses must be broken.
Scrambled around for a while but no luck today. Looks like a gardener has recently been trimming trees so maybe it has been disturbed. Will try again another day

I was on my way to Robina Town Centre and stopped to look for this one. I was wary of spying muggle eyes from the offices across the road. Also, my GPS took me a little away from the cache location...but I found it after about five minutes of searching. It is nice to find a well stocked cache! I made some swaps and got out of there quickly so as to avoid detection. TFTC
Hard to be discreet here but after a fair bit of scourging around we located it TFTC
7p.m. on a sunday night was a good time here ,very peaceful, nice big cache full of goodies.TFTC.
Second time at Geocaching today, we decided to do a few in this area. This was our 6th for the day. My daughter found this one, was her first find. Lots of great swaps, took something and left something new! TFTC
Geo son j found thing one in mins great size cache TFTC , ps kids loved the swaps
I had done some chores around home and the calendar was free so I headed south to clear up a few down this way.
Geo Wife was not able to be with me as she was going to a conference but she gave me her blessing to "Have a Great Day"
I had visited this cache before but left soon after I arrived as it was the middle of the week and the cache is right beside a childcare centre and I thought better of it!!
Today (Saturday) the place was empty and there were no vehicles or people anywhere near GZ so I was happy!!
I checked around for a few minutes then I just looked in at the right angle and there it was smiling back at me, YAY!!!!!!
Thanks Ash & Shaun TFTC SL TNLS

Under the shade of trees, in the hedge of bushes.
We put chick, spinning top and sharpener. Don't give up.

I was just itching to get out of the house and we had a date to fill in anyway so I chose some caches down south thanks to new ones being placed by new and old cachers, thanks guys!!
I arrived here and was immediately concerned about the possibility of a search.
Being right next to a Kindergarten it probably would have looked a bit strange for a man to be scratching through the bushes and with no hint to speed the search I reluctantly left it to a more opportune time.
Thanks Ash & Shaun TFTH

Had an opportunity to get out today with my 2yo boy Riley and grab around 20 finds. Was happy with the day, finding new caches and some older ones I had been to before, but not been able to find. Got them all this time. Thanks to all cache owners for hiding and maintaining their caches.

40 yo man, skulking around bushes at a child center..... Not a good look for passers by, you understand where I'm going with this, I was lucky to have my 2yo with me, so that made it a little easier and less sus looking. TFTC.

Enough time before work this morning for a couple of caches.
First stop and I was a bit concerned that this one is out the front of a child care centre. Thankfully it was a quick find in between the morning drop offs. I would recommend finding this one early, late or on the weekend.
Plenty of swaps for the kids which is good to see. Signed my name then replaced.

An easy find just on sunset tonight. Lots of goodies in the cache. Thought I'd leave them for the younger cachers out there who will enjoy them more. TFTC. TNLN. SL.
Visiting friends on Gold Coast, found it with a help from my little friend Milan. Brand new cache, still in mint condition with a lot of gifts inside, thanks a lot.
I came by here this early this morning only to realise that my friend, my son's ex-piano teacher for about 8 years, has her piano studio directly across the road upstairs behind the dark window. This was in full view of her window. As there was a car in her car park, even at that hour in the morning, I couldn't risk her seeing me. I abandoned and headed to the Burleigh Industrial Estate. When I met up with bristracker and AL down there I told them that this FTF was still waiting for them to find it!!
We are sorry Perusal has a friend working over the road which she felt prevented her making a fool of herself to look for this cache. However, we can't deny that we are very happy to have a FTF at this cache this morning at about 6:37am. Thanks for the new caches ash&shaun1003. [^][^]
FTF (5th for the morning !) I found it without any trouble. Good clear container. This would be good before work hours.
