After spending a couple of days at Gordon Country it was time to head back to Brisbane. We left early so we could detour via some of the local geocaches along the way. This one was next along the way.All was good with it.TFTC
Looked on back on sign, under rocks, in holes, up the tree. Couldn't find it.
Find #400!!
After event in Warwick today, took a deviation on the way home, to pick up a few .
Note to CO: the log is full.

An easy find, literally walk straight to it. Co ords a tiny bit out but no other obvious hide location.
Thanks for the history.

I made another quick find here. I don't think the ants will be too happy with me. Thanks for the fun Muff Mafia
The wife and I were heading away for the weekend and decided to take a drive to Toowoomba making a few detours on the way.
The detour from the highway took us past this one.
The GPS had me searching for a while until I spotted it.

The Mrs and I are camping nearby at Gordon Country and decided to explore the country side for some caching and found this beautiful spot for a quick find. I forgot how peaceful the countryside is!
As we were passing by this spot today we stopped to avenge our dnf from way back in 2014.
Don’t know how we missed this back then but it was an easy find today.
We enjoy ‘discovering’ these historical locations.
Thanks Muff Mafia.

Great spot for a cache. We love discovering these old historical sites.

Out and about doing a caching run to and around Clifton, taking as many back roads as we can find. They say the shortest distance between A & B is via as many caches as you can propose.
This cache we attempted a few weeks ago, could not find, so stupidly, added a "throwdown" Never in favour, and this time it backfired. So we have returned to find the real hide. Which was found, but as Trecking Trev said a few months back, the container is missing its base. I have replace the whole container with same, logged my visit and returned it to the correct spot. Log sheet was dry.
Thanks Muff Mafia for the hide.

I’m looking at a crazy Challenge Cache that requires caches by placed date in a number of LGA’s and I’m missing Southern Downs… so with a list of possible caches PirateLinda and I made the trip out…
We stopped at another in this series, but learned it was a multi, that sent us in the wrong direction, so instead searched for this cache… I read logs while PirateLinda walked over and said “there it is…”
We found the original cache… and then went looking for the imposter… having made our mark on the actual cache, I removed the imposter to save confusion… tftc…

Found while out on a day of adventuring with Peppa. First one I've had reception a GZ to log today. Found the original so Peppa removed the imposter
Out for a Sunday morning drive, thought we would pick up some of these SDHS hides along the way. Especially those to the northern/eastern side of the New England Highway.
Another interesting spot Muff Mafia. We circled the object, narrowing in the spot we finally decided the hide must be located, only to find it may well have been muggles. So, after some debate, we replaced a bison tube in the gap that was missing a cache.
Photo has been sent to Muff Mafia to show them the location, If wrong, I hope they get back to me, and I will return and remove my "throwdown"
Thanks Muff Mafia for the hide and the location

Still in Warkwaick and today I decided to pick up caches in the city before venturing northish. A quick find while driving around north of the city. The cache has lost it's base and the log was somewhat exposed to the weather. I place the log in a ziploc bag to give a bit of protection. The log was dry and I was ableto singn it. TFTC.
Found by Sunshine Toledo and Her Majesty at 10:40am.The cache was found quickly and it's in good condition. TFTC
Must have been an impressive chimney back in the day.
Located the cache easily and brushed off the over zealous ants that call it home.

We arrived here and I will admit, Radnoski and I leapt out and blindly expected to find something particular right at the chimney. We looked around and around and on the sign too until all of a sudden I had a thought to check the coords and try somewhere else.
It was at this stage that I realised just how much Fangsoki sux! While we had been searching, he had snuck out of his side of the vehicle and grabbed the cache and was signing it back in the car. When the penny dropped I climbed back in the car cursing him, while Radnoski began asking what sized cache we were looking for, and I advised him of Fang’s antics.
Thanks for the cache Muff Mafia.

Radnoski, 1MinnieMoo, and I were heading toward Allora when we decided to grab this one.
1MinnieMoo and Radnoski bounded out of the car as we arrived at GZ and seemed to be taking their time. I decided to have a look in my own little area and soon had the prize in hand safe and sound (however, there is no inner container?)
We...or I should say **I** signed the log for us and rehid the cache as found. Another great little historical stop. TFTC Muff Mafia

Number three for the day. Out for a drive with geopartner, too hot to sit at home. Thanks
Success! But the container is missing the bottom and the log sheet bag needs replacing. Tftc
Great fun searching on our neighbour’s roadside. It took a wider search than I originally thought. In the end I trusted the GPS not my intuition.
8872 Located by baby&Mrs gopher ( We also sign as bMg on small log sheets ) at 1410. A great trail of history to take. It is a pity not all caches were present at the other locations. Maybe a owner maintenance should be performed by the CO. Tnx Muff Mafia.
Great piece of history. After looking in the suspected spots, we had to widen our GZ to find this one! TFTC
Firsy find of SDHS series. Creamery and Cheese factory seem to have gone. Nice one.
Nice to see history things around here abd got signed with Dranter and returned same place and nice hide spot TFTC

A day off work and the weather forecast agreed with me that it was a great day to head down to have a look up Mount Mitchell. Afterwards, I took a "detour" to grab a few caches, including this one. Cache wasn't where I thought it would be, but found it pretty quick and signed the log. Thanks for the cache, Muff Mafia.
TFTC! We love the way this hobby takes us to places we would never had explored and would once have driven straight by......
We arrived to another interesting site. Unfortunately by the time we had found this we were all a mess, but most of all our Geo dog havana was a mud ball. This was not where we thought it would be and it took us a little longer than we thought. Back in the Van with 8 very muddy feet we ventured of to the next stop all the while hoping we would find a huge puddle to jump in to and clean off.
We have been away for ten days and Mr RV geo had an appointment in Toowoomba. We had been to Goomari Pumpkin festival and had a business appointment in Cooroy, so in someways this unexpected appointment was a blessing as it took us across the ridge and we avoided all the horrible weather that so many people got caught up in. We hung out in Cliffton for two days till the rain and wind subsided so we were really ready for some exercise and something fun to do on our way home to the Gold Coast. We had little knowledge of what may find us there so we decided to take our time. We had done a couple of these before and really enjoyed the History lesson. This was a nice easy find and we really enjoyed the scenery. Thanks Muff Mafia for the Cache.

Travelling around Australia in our Caravan with our cat.
Today was a bit disorganised we were to head out and make a delivery to help the Qld Mega Committee but then a Dr's appointment changed our plans with very little notice.
After the Dr's we decided to pick up a few caches around Warwick that we had run out of time to convert into smilies last week. Once those were accomplished it was off on the highway to Cunningham's Gap for our 'rendezvous'

Some great history our here. Love being on these roads, so much more picturesque. Didn't quite trust where my phone was wanting me to look, so decided to stick with geo-sense. Yep, there it was, grabbed and signed & back to the car. Not sure what the locals think with people actually stopping to look at these sites! Another great location. TFTC.
On a weekend in Stanthorpe and Warwick with geo-friends to tackle the caches of the area. Thanks to all CO's for bringing us to this area to search for there different caches along the countryside roads as well as in the towns. TFTC
On our way to this one was much discussion as to what would still be standing as many chimneys in the area are still standing while houses are gone, glad to see some is still there. TFTC
On a caching long weekend with a group of geofriends. Completed many of the series, trails and individual caches from north of Warwick to south of Stanthorpe.
Thank you to all C.O.'s for placing these caches around this beautiful region of Queensland.

On a preMega cache hunt and Hitting the power trail and its begaining to fell like ground hog day, we came out for a couple of days to clear the local greens and to turn them into smiles all across the area. so much hard work has gone into the local trails and ill like to thanks all the COs for placing such a trail and maintaining them. log signed and placed back as found tftcsl

I really enjoyed this series. Every stop we tried to imagine how things were and how things have changed. We felt like we had stepped back in time, until we jumped back into geomobile. Thanks for this cache and the series! We were getting a little cocky with knowing where the finds would be, so this one through us. Back to the car to get Mr Garmin....Hahn there you are!

[font=Comic Sans MS]Hi there Muff Mafia. We found your cache "S.D.H.S. The Brick Chimney" at 11:39:00 AM today.
This was our 3rd cache find in a caching run of 15 Finds & 0 DNFs today. (So this now makes our find count 9405.)
[Blue]
Today's cache run was in the company of Team Robins, Rainforest Cookie and Rat Dog 12.
We thoroughly enjoyed our zig-zag route through the countryside, visiting many interesting spots along the way.
Please excuse the boilerplate logs. It's really not an excuse but, we find it really difficult to craft individual logs when we do so many similar caches in a day.
[/Blue]
Coordinate Accuracy: Fair. (We found the cache around 8m from where the GPS said we should be looking.)
Cache Condition: Container and log book are in good shape.
Took: Nothing.
Left: Nothing.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards

Today we left Toowoomba heading to Allora. We did caching along the railway series, back country roads & out around the many farms.
All the caches we found were in good condition & some wonderfull & scenic locations.
Just as we were getting used to the hides, they go & get changed. Good to keep us guessing.

All set for a super long week-end in Toowoomba from Friday until Tuesday.
I am in town to find all of the new caches in the area since I left town year ago.
After a morning over at the Dam I am now continuing the day on the south side.
With the phone binging like crazy I thought I would head south in search on some FTF's.
After finding a few FTF's I had better find the others in the area hadn't I.
A quick find here.
Thanks for the cache.
