Sorry we went and checked our cache and it has disappeared again, this time we have decided to archive this as we spend a lot of time replacing this one everytime it goes missing, so have decided we won't replace again. Think the base track is far too popular so many muggles .
Thank you for the past logs. Happy caching around the mount as they have lots more you can track down.
Cheers Keltic-Kiwi.

Looks like this has gone missing again, I will get down as soon as I can and check this out.
Sorry for any inconvenience.

Found all safe and secure with team_macdonald on a CITO found with team_macdonald TFTC
Found this one today while walking around the mount collecting the litter as part of the CITO Event. Once hide TFTC.
Found while doing a cito around the Mount. Found with Rayzr2 and others that attended. Tftc
Well, we searched for quite a while earlier in the year, and I'm sure this was the first place. After reading out the clue, the husband shouted, we looked there last time.....hmmm, not very well obviously (or maybe it was missing), glad to have this ticked off, thanks
A cool little find. Great hint and title. Beware, the map image is showing the coordinates on the opposite side of the track for us. Map doesn't have the track where it actually runs.
Quick find on a quick trip around the Mount. Checked out the local Sea lion on the way. SL TFTC TNLN
GPS took us to the wrong side of the track initially. We looked for a while before I moved across. Then it was a quick find. First find for Auntie Denise. Woohoo, but not convinced she's hooked yet....

We had plenty of time to search today as there weren't many people out walking the track as it"s a cold dismal day at the Mount. Quickly found t his cache - exactly where it should be. Tftc.
On a hunt today to find all the caches around the base track. Been meaning to tick off these mount caches in a while so decided to give it a start today. Very cold and dreary weather however still a few muggles out, so lots of practicing our stealthiness. I liked the hide on this one so gets a favourite from me. Beautiful spot and quick find. Thanks for the cache
Will have to try again next time we are passing. Looked and searched and thought and searched and looked some more but this one evaded us.
Nice hide! Last one of my day at the mount, making the most of being puppy-free today. Thoroughly enjoyed it, with lots of smileys for an added bonus. TFTC
We found it while our holiday in new zealand nice spot an a really nice walk
we had to wait a long time to less passing the muggels but it was ok
thanks

A sunny Mothers' day walk around the mount and the GPS was deposited in Poppymjr and Mrs Ccrichie's hands for them to attack in a clockwise direction whilst the rest of us went anti-clockwise - we got as far asa the seals playing in the water at Shelly bay, so it was good to know that the Mrs is capable of finding them by herself, though I suspect Poppymjr had more to do with the find. Apparently there were other cachers about at the time, hanging around looking at their phone and making eye contact with the other people hanging around looking at a GPS!!

The sky is darkening now, about here I took a lovely foto of the sunset! We came here as a group, the fab 4 from Auckland being **supernanny, rustynz and Rebel98** and myself the **Gorbinator**. I found this one, but the cache wasn't quite where you would expect it to be! Rusty couldn't find it even though being here (a long time ago though), I think I sort of fluked it.... but whatever, it was found then signed! Moving along then.
Enjoying walking / caching on the base track as night was falling ....lovely views ....
I looked at the appropriate place but thought there was nothing there ! Luckily one of my caching companions had more persistence or better eyesight and I couldn't believe it when they showed me what I had missed ! Very nicely crafted thanks Keltic-Kiwi !

Went around and around and returned to where gps sent me and there it was. Very sneaky. Thanks for the cache

Last time I was walking & caching around the Mount ( in Feb) I wasn't yet a premium member so didn't know this was here. I had no pen/pencil with me today as I was more focused on enjoying a sunny afternoon walk after work with my daughter. Took photos as evidence of find instead. TFTC
FYI the camouflage has fallen off and was sitting close by.

Great cache took us a minute to find GZ, but once we found it it didn't take long to find. Definitely not where you'd expect.

Loved the walk, done with LCBuilder on a sunny day but early in the morning before it got too hot. Quick find, TFTC
Visiting this area over night. Too many people here for us at the moment. Decided to do the lower circuit walk only and cache the ones available on that route. Proceeded in an anti-clockwise direction.Lovely walk being so close to the ocean. Watched some shipping and pleasure craft. Sunny this morning after overnight rain. SL TNLN TFTC
Relaxing walk around the Mountain and caching some around.

A long time in the planning but this "once in a lifetime" holiday has finally come to fruition and will see us travelling around as much of New Zealand as we can manage in six weeks. This is not a caching trip, Yvonne doesn't participate but she does tolerate, so I hope to pick up a few here and there. And it's great to get away from the English Winter!
Day 34
Mount Maunganui was the main objective for today. First we walked to the top and back down again. Then, after an excellent ice cream, we did the low level circuit. Naturally I attempted all the caches I could but muggles made life difficult and to keep Yvonne happy I only searched 3 or 4 minutes before moving on. So, some success but more failure, such is life sometimes. Excellent walks though.
Too many muggles and too little time to mount a proper search.
BaSHful.

Nice easy find thank you (: lost reception around the mount so logging back at the car (:
We spent 4 incredibly wonderful weeks in New Zealand for vacation and
had a lot of fun to discover all the marvels of this country.
Day 12 - we climbed up Mount Maunganui and were rewarded by breathtaking views.
The rest of the day was relaxing and uneventful - drinking a cup of coffee in a nice little cafe and
chilling at the beach.
Besides we still found time for geocaching and picked up quite a few caches on our way.
This was one of them!

From 19th February to 20th March Stadibast and I visited New Zealand. Half of the time we made a trip around the North-Island. After a short stay in Auckland we went to: Bay of Islands, Cape Reinga, Rotorua and the Wai-o-Tapu-Thermal Wonderland, the great Taupo-lake… We made a Rafting Tour in the Waitomo-Glowworm-caves or hiked the Tongariro –Alpine-Crossing and, and…
In the second part of our holidays we visited the south island, hiked in the Abel-Tasman-Reserve , went to the Marlborough-Sounds, the Golden Bay, the Oparara-Arch, the Franz-Josef- and Fox-Glaciers, had a great sight on Mt. Cook and Mt. Tasman, relaxed at the Wanaka- and Hawea-Lakes,….
New Zealand is a very amazing country and with exceptional natural sites. We are very impressed of these great nature monuments and sights and we are happy that we met so much friendly and helpful people.
We had a nice walk to the top of Mt. Maunganui. A lot of muggels around.
Greetings from Germany.

Today we visited Mount Manganui and to find more caches we even surrounded it twice. Afterwards we went for some cahes in the town. Thanks
Staying in Mount Maunganui for a few days, so top of the to do list was a visit to the Mount. We had planned to climb to the summit first then do the circuit, but a nearby multi took us on the round trip first (and we ended up not continuing the multi as it would have involved back tracking plus we decided to do the summit another day). Really enjoyed this scenic walk, not too strenuous and completed in the relative coolness of the morning.
Over shot GZ initially but once in the right area, the cache was a quick find. TFTC.

While walking around the mount together with pinot535 we found some caches. This one was a bit tricky but that made the joy of finding it even bigger. TFTC and greetings from Austria - fanti

A great day for a walk around the mount. Glad to find this as our last attempt 18 months ago was a dnf during a period when the cache seemed to have disappeared. A fav for the stunning view and for FINALLY finding it.
The track was very busy this morning. The cruise ship must have convinced everyone to walk around the mount.
We attempted several caches in the area but only found 3. This was one of them.

Made this cache on our 4 weeks honeymoon through New Zealand. So many great places to see in this beautiful country.
On the 18th day of travelling with our campervan we drove from Waikite Valley Thermal Pools to Tauranga. During the way it was raining heavily and so after arriving we had to wait for some time until we could go out to walk around the mount. Nice walk on which we also did some geocaching. This one we found.

Joined up with yorkshirekiwi83 today and headed down to Papamoa and Mount Maunganui for a long day of caching. We arrived in Papamoa early in the morning and then spent the rest of this hot summers day making our way to The Mount and finding what caches we could along the way. Once we reached The Mount, we then went for a walk around it, then up and down it, looking for the caches that we hadn't found previously here. A quick find of this cool hide during our walk. TFTC!

Vistra and I had decided to go for a full on day and head down to Papamoa / Mount Maunganui to see if we could get some numbers and quick drive bys.
GPS was pointing to the other side of the track but reading other logs realised that was the case, quickly found it when i was in the correct spot. TFTC

A surprisingly quick find considering how good the camo is. Just had good luck today with Barneycache.
Found on the 13/12/2015 on our stopover on the Golden Princess.
Great hide and camo and we loved Tauranga . TFTC and we thoroughly enjoyed our walk around the mountain. Greetings from Melbourne Australia

TFTC. Our second stop on a cruise around NZ. On an overcast day decided on a walk around the mount. Mixed success on finding caches between muggles and showers.
Found during our holiday in New Zealand. Thanks for the cache. Greetings from the Czech Republic.
We travelled through your wonderfull country and are amazed off its beauty.

Had me going for a wee bit, but broadened my search. Great camo. A fave from me Tftc
Out for a walk with the family so let them shoot of ahead and I had a search for the cache, Did take a little bit to find and also getting the timing right in between the muggles.
Really enjoyed the camo and good little hide to add to the around the mt ones
Cheers for the cache

Out for a run tonight with added incentive as Rock'n'Tree is back and i need a smile on that spot. spent a while on the wrong tree as my phone was not being very helpful tonight, up and down the bank, then was just heading back and i spotted a likely tree. love the hint, I was forced to look a bit harder. nice work on the camo. Back in place and ready to find again. Thanks for your patience.

Yes, we do want to keep this cache. We will repair this and will be back up and running for Labour weekend. Thank you. Cheers Keltic-Kiwi
Not sure what is going on here?? Cache is showing up on PQ even though I filter out diasbled ones. Been disabled for 5 months, maybe something needs to be done?
Sorry this is disabled, it appears this cache keeps getting shifted and not put back in original spot. We will replace this when we are able to get something a bit better and more cameoed so it doesn't go missing anymore. Cheers Kiwi
With sveppi, this morning we walk around the mount, and this afternoon we walk up the mount. We picked up most of the caches along the way but left a few behind for another day.
I found this cache a couple of years ago. This time around we clearly spotted where the hide should be, with a man-made groove in a rock to take in the hide, but nothing is there. I'm not too sure why this cache has turned up on my pocket query since I filter out disabled caches. The hide is not where it is supposed to be, therefore should be fixed.

Found the distinctive rock but no cache ... Wish people would put caches back where they found them not where they think they should be!!!

Noticed that this cache is missing. We have found this one. It was a bit tricky and I believe not in the original hide it supposed to be, but still there.

Well after a lot of climbing and some falling, and retracing our steps found the bloody thing on the way back to the track.
Mallorcatommy and I were travelling through the northern island of New Zealand. What an amazing, breath-taking landscape! On our way we did some nice walks, enjoyed ourselves and found great geocaches. Thanks to all owners for nice hiding spots... We wouldn't have been to a few places without these little boxes!
This one we found quickly!
Thank you!

Every day we are traveling around is same but also different. Today we had again the pleasure to visit some very beautiful spots and were also able to find nearly placed geocaches. I thank every single owner for placing it and giving us with doing this an other good reason to come here.
I saw the tree before my phone knew I was there. Left a spikey ball. TFTC. Awesome spot.
