We biked the Lava loop and had a thought to look and see if there was a cache at the top, so it was an after thought, and didn't have a pen, but I got a photo as proof.
Great cache
Great cache
Greetings from QLD! Today is day 3 of our holiday and we have come to Akaroa to see some dolphins! After a great cruise on the harbour, we took the long, scenic way back to Christchurch.
I spotted the cache as we pulled up so jumped out and went straight to it. Unfortunately someone has threaded the lid and try as I might I just couldn’t get the lid off
I have a photo for proof if needed. Great views from up here! Tftc

When the GPS had me climbing down through blackberries I thought oh no. But the hint was very accurate and easy to find. Thanks.
Staying on the peninsular for the weekend and grabbed a few caches as we passed them. Nice view.
Total whiteout and rain does not make for a photo stop today. But, the log was signed for another smiley. TFTC
On our way to Little Akaloa, with a vehicle up our bum we couldn't stop so we found this cache on the way back. TFTC
Out for the day caching along the way. This was a quick find in an interesting place with no muggles about today. TFTH and a favourite point for the view.
The cloud had rolled in again by the time I reached here so limited photo opportunities but I do get the idea of it. TFTC # 17,296
Quick easy find on an extra long weekend trip. Thanks for the effort that goes into placing and maintaining a cache. Magic spot for a stop.
Down from Northland for a one week trip to Christchurch to pick up some solved puzzles, challenges, unusual cache types, Jasmer grid fillers, as well as a few others in passing.
Today we were off on a trip to Akaroa and after stopping off to do an AL on the way, passed by for fish and chips. Heading back now and decided to take the scenic route. Another one along here for us was this one and wasn't long before the small cache was in hand. Getting a bit colder and blowing now, so didn't linger to take a photo. TFTC

Staying up near Summit Road and saw all the geocaches when we arrived. As the kids were in bed, I got permission to head out for a couple of hours before it got dark and find a few along the ridge.
This was the turnaround point to head back home. With the road mostly in the cloud up until here I was glad to see it lift to be able to get a view. Took a few moments to find the cache. Thanks for the placement.

Stopped this afternoon while heading back to Christchurch after visiting family on the Peninsula. Followed the GPS down to the fence and gate and looked around and in the various posts. Lovely one on the right hand side of the gate in which to hide a cache but nothing seen or felt. Didn't go through the gate to investigate the thing thats out in the field (also in photo on cache page) as that would be entering private property.
Today we made a trip over the Peninsula, beginning in Littleton, then Governors Bay, Diamond Harbour, Port Levy, Pigeon Bay, Okains Bay, Robinson Bay, Arakoa, and then back to Christchurch in order to see that many sightseeing points along the road. On this trip we searched, found and logged a lot of caches, too. The weather was beautiful, sunny, very warm, a little bit cloudy, and only sometimes there was some wind.
Almost no muggels observed us as they had to drive their cars on the not too easy roads on the Peninsula.
Thanks to TheWanglers for showing us this location and for the fun we had at Photo Stop (Canterbury). The search we had here today didn't take too much time.
Greetings from Germany and hope to see you soon in the forest.

This turned out to be the last cache of the day - I needed to get back to Christchurch for dinner & time was marching on. I took a few photos (as camo) while I found & logged the cache.

I woke up on my birthday and was asked "What are you going to do today?" The answer? Go geocaching!
My plan was to drive around the bays cleaning up as many Banks Peninsula caches as I could. Of course I still had to be home for my birthday dinner so I was on a time limit. In the end I managed 16 finds from 17 attempts and drove through Purau, Port Levy, Pigeon Bay, Little Akaloa, Chorlton, then via Duvauchelle to drop of some supplies to our daughter in Wainui and home via Little River. A lot of driving but a chance to see some beautiful spots I'd never been.
Photo Stop you say? Alrighty then! An easy find (all good with the cache), followed by a spot of lunch on the nearby seat. There are certainly worse views I could have had eating a sandwich. Of course I sent a pic to Bo (he was at work)
