We have archived this cache due to the new buildings that have gone up beside the walkway.
Thank you to the cachers who notified us that this cache had gone, we checked it out today and because of the new construction going on we feel it will need to be relocated and placed somewhere else along this track. We will get it back up and running as soon as we have replaced the cache. Sorry for any inconvenience. Cheers Keltic and Kiwi
Had a good search, but couldn’t find the cache. However, we widened our search and found part of the trackable that was meant to be there. Have messaged owner of trackable to let them know.
Stretching our legs and taking the dog for a walk after a long drive down here from up north. On such a balmy evening where better? ANd fitting in some caching while doing so? A definite bonus! Thanks for the hide Keltic-Kiwi!
Another quick find today
Having fun picking up a few smileys as we drive up the coast

Just love walking along a beach. Plenty places along the coast you can do that. Cache found with The X-Trailers. TFTC
What a gorgeous location... lots going on today but the overcast weather kept most of the muggles away. Two muggles working in the garden over the fence but they didn't seem interested in us at all. Spotted the cache quickly thanks to accurate GPS and the hint... and so happy to have a new home for the trackable in my stash! He's been looking for a seaside home for a little while now and today was the day. TFTC
Nice quick find which was great because I'm not sure I was parked in a proper spot.
Oh wow, this area is getting developed and looks like there are brand new roads that don't show up on the map! Quick find, forgot travel bugs again. Oops. Tftc
A great day on the coast and lucky we were geocaching. An easy find, thanks CO for the cache.
After rain in the morning the weather was nice, so we took a walk at the beach.
In the mount for the day. Thought I might as well get one cache for the day. This was the closest one. TFTC.
Taking a walk along the beach to find some caches but much colder than expected. Think this will be a shorter cache trip than originally planned.
Thought we were going to run into problems when a muggle was walking towards us & we were both going to reach GZ about the same time. Decided a quick shoe tying mission was in order. With that little hitch out of the way, straight to the container for a quick find. Wasn't really sure this was going to still be here with all the earthworks nearby! SL. TNLN. TFTC!
On a trip over the Kaimais to escape the fog/rain & enjoy some lovely mid-winter BOP sunshine instead. Was expecting more muggles but enjoying having the place to myself this morning. Nice quick find here. Cache signed & replaced as found, on my way again! TFTC
Yet another beach access one today ...enjoying looking at the beach on my short holiday in Papamoa !

Done. Over here visiting parents for the weekend, so after brunch mum had some work to do and she shoo'd dad and I out for the morning. What a lovely morning it is too! We decided to stop and get caches along the waterfront between the mount a papmoa. So with our 2hour window, and no quotas to achieve (other than enjoy a sunny autumn morning) we were off. I had been wondering how they'd build houses on sand dunes here, and looking at the beginning stages of the sections being developed beside the path answered some of those questions for me - you see I had to walk slow, there were 3 muggles and their muggle dog in front of me that I was catching up to!
Found with kiwitrecker1 on an early morning cache hunt. Enjoyed the sun rising from the beach and the great scenery. TFTC!!
Kia ora!
Hello from the UK. This is the third geocache I've logged in New Zealand. And it'll be one of my furthest caches away from home. Here on holiday/visiting friends for 3 weeks, but already been here almost 2 of them, so thought I'd better get on with some caching today.
Great cache. I love to see caches bigger than micros, because it's so much more fun for the kids when they find them!

Nice quick find once I got to the GZ a muggle wondered by just before I found the post and so I had to wait for a bit which always makes me feel like I look sus but I had a child with me so I played it cool haha
Looked for a couple of caches in conjunction with a walk along the beach this morning. This one was a quick find, thanks to the hint. Greetings from Wellington. #1320. TFTC.
The cache wasn't quite concealed so spotted it on the walk-in. Muggles close so bent down to "look for something" in my rucsac. Grabbed the cache, opened and signed in my rucsac and returned as the muggles sank below the horizon. Covered with a little more natural to make it slightly less obvious. TFTC.
Found on the way back, lovely day for a walk at the beach. Was a bit windy, but still good.
Thanks to the hint it was a quick find. Glad nobody was on the way while signing, no place to hide

There is a nice little clump of caches heareabouts that would give me a bit of exercise, like 8.1 kms. A nice little walk signing off a few caches as well.
This one had been muggled in that I found the lid in one place and the bottom a couple of metres away from it. There was nothing else to be seen. So I put one of my replacement logbooks in it to keep it active.
Cheers for the cache.

Found it on a visit at an exchange students town. Such a beautiful town! Thanks for the catch so we could get a nice walk in the winter.
Nice quick find on our bike ride caching from the Mount. Swapped TB'S. TFTC
Definite stealth needed here, lots of muggles walking up and down and people gardening in their yard just over the fence....loitered around for a bit before the coast was clear. Thanks for the cache!
Another great area for a cache placement! !thanks for bringing us here.
Yay!!!! 800th find. Doing a mission along these beachfront ones to get to the 800 while at The Mt for the day. Great hide. TFTC.
Up at the Mount on a work trip so had time to fillin while waiting for flight back home. Nice and quite TFTC
Luckily we spotted it quickly and were just replacing it when a woman started down to the beach. Searching through my back pack for that elusive something was my excuse for loitering.
This was the trickest one we've ever had in terms of muggles approaching from each end of the walkway. Serious stealth required!!!
After spending the night in nearby Tauranga, I decided to visit the quite famous seaside at Bay of Plenty. And so I walked around some time and also picked up some Caches. The seaside and the beach is very beautifull, but in my opinion the area behind isn't very livable. Of cource all the houses are very good in shape and there are a lot of really nice (and large) Holiday homes, but there is no life around and the area acts like a cold satellite town. But the weather was really nice and the Caches, too.
Thanks a lot for the Caches.

Spending Easter with some of the family and thought I would introduce them to the wonders of caching. After the highs of our find on the boardwalk everyone was so excited that we ad to walk down the beach to find another one. Quickly found by new player KathyKaches thanks to the hint and the good coordinates. Thanks for the cache!
Found it very easy find out in the open recamoed as best possible nice area tftc☺☺
#11784. I twisted my ankle in the morning, and was struggling to hobble across sand. Still, we got there on the end. TFTC.
After lunch, we loaded up the car with the bikes and drove to Papamoa Beach to find a few caches in the area en bicyclette. A pleasant ride though we had to dismount and walk to the beach caches. We found 13 all together, but have only scratched the surface! Will have to return to look for more, hopefully tomorrow.
A few women were walking back from a swim at the beach as we got to the entrance, but all quiet at GZ. With spot on co-ordinates, and very few hiding places available, this was a quick find. TFTC.
Logged with wrong date, now fixed.

Parked on the road and a short walk to GZ soon spotted the post and the cache. Signed and returned. TFTC
3rd caache of our holiday in the bay. Popped down after picking up another nearby cache. Wandered over from the northern side and has to jump the wire fence to get onto the accessway.
Quick find at gz. Cache and log in a serviceable state

Have found this cache before - however I needed a tb for an upcoming adventure so I have taken it.
We took a walk along the beach this morning as it was cloudy and we couldn't go up the Mount as it was on fire and out of bounds. We found 5 caches along our walk all easy finds, SL, TFTC. We dropped a TB of a Dolphin, that we brought with us from the UK, having seen over 100 whilst out on a trip yesterday.
Joined up with yorkshirekiwi83 today and headed down to Papamoa and Mount Maunganui for a long day of caching. We arrived in Papamoa early in the morning and then spent the rest of this hot summers day making our way to The Mount and finding what caches we could along the way. A quick find of the cache here, while on our travels. TFTC!

Vistra and I had decided to go for a full on day and head down to Papamoa / Mount Maunganui to see if we could get some numbers and quick drive bys.
Nice quick find, TFTC

Sorry need to disable until I can get down to check this out and make sure its still in place or renew due to disappearing. Cheers Kiwi Will be back up and running shortly.
We have re activated this cache, it is not missing. Still in correct place, but you need to bend down and look a bit further, it's well cameoed. Happy caching. Cheers Keltic-Kiwi
Hi everyone, okay tracked our cache down. Have located it pretty much back where it should be, please replace where you find this and make sure it's well hidden, thanks. Cheers Keltic-Kiwi
Sorry this is temporarily disabled until we can track it down as it appears to have been shifted from its orginal place. Will have it back up and running soon. Cheers Keltic-Kiwi
Just getting round to logging this and sees it has been disabled and enabled since our found. Am pretty sure we didn't move it as we found, signed and returned cache without moving from the spot. Anyway, had been meaning to come down and check out this walkway since it opened and never got round to it so thanks for bringing us here
7037. Out for a day's geocaching in the Tauranga area with Nodo (David and Noelene) from Waihi. This was our seventh cache find of the day and in an area Rodney knew well since his parents used to live in Papamoa Beach Road. We had it in hand very quickly and signed it off. Now off to find a some others in the area. Thanks. Rodney and Iris.
12.30pm. We are spending the day in Tauranga with "Sallies" from Christchurch. A bit hard to get to and we think it had been replaced not quite right. Left it well covered but nearer to the hint.
Thank You David and Noeline.
Thank You David and Noeline.
A nice straight forward find on a beach access close to where I live. I left a TB which has been with me for a while looking for a new host. TFTC
11:30pm and i don't have a cache for international geocaching day, where is the closest 1.5 i haven't fond yet. coordinates lock in, off i go. easy find in the end, even in the dark. TFTC
