In Brisbane for a conference and naturally taking some extra time to go Geocaching. So conference is over, now time for some serious caching. Heading out to Toowoomba for a few days to cache around the area. We much prefer small towns and country caching to big city caching. Quickly pulled in here and there was so much noisy traffic we couldn’t hear ourselves think. After a bit of a hunt Mrs S got it.
Thanks Speedmistress.

This was the last cache we stopped for before getting to our hotel and it was the one that broke the camel's back, or at least the car. During the day I had stopped for a few caches and left the car idling with the air-con going full blast in the heat and the electric fridge plugged into the boot keeping the beer cold. In hindsight, I should have turned the car off at each stop but my wife sat in the back seat cutting out stuff for the start off school while my daughter and I cached. The old saying applies: happy wife, happy life, happy husband, who gives a $#!t.
After we found this cache we started back up the range and soon after the car alarms went off. The coolant was overheating and the car went into go-slow protective mode. With my foot to the floor we were only doing about 10km/h so it was lucky I was stuck behind a petrol tanker. Clearly the heat that not even the devil would wish upon his worst enemies in the fiery pits of hell had taken its toll.
On top of the range I pulled over on Tourist Road and wondered what my next move would be. Seeing I was planning on being in the car for the weekend, I called the RACQ to see if they would mind checking the car over. I had only had it serviced the day before and so I was concerned. When the receptionist heard that the car may have overheated she said she would send a tow-truck. I told her that I wasn't worried about the car, I just needed someone to come and check that the beer was still cold. She must have thought I was an idiot. I am.
After a couple of minutes the car computer said life was good again and when the RACQ guy turned up he explained what happened. He even gave the beer a green tick which was a huge relief. tftc

Great description, love your creativity! Cache all in order & returned as found. Tftc Speedmistress xo
James said he had a hunch it would be where it was, but I didn't think that was quite right... turns out I was wrong! Was a challenge. Tftc
Ok another for the night. This is quite useful to stay awake on big trips. The poem.in this is very handy once u understand it. Tftc
I was really hoping there would be toilets at this rest stop... but nope! Since Muggles don't need to see a daytime full moon, I had a super quick hunt and find, signed and returned the cache and quickly headed off! Thanks for this cache, Speedmistress!
Stopped and grabbed this one on a trip up the hill to watch my son play some school soccer. Quickly found

We wonder if this one will fall victim to repairs of the wall.. which it certainly needs. We made the find and re-hid the cache. Thanks Speedmistress.
Attending an event today. What a good way to get some smileys along the way.

Heading up the range to the Toowoomba catchup event, and naturally a few stops were made along the way. Had the place to myself. After a short search this one was soon located and signed.
This cache is in good condition, and makes smilie #3299. Thanks **Speedmistress** for bringing us here. Feel free to discover our trackable TGQNRV .

On our way to attend an event in Toowoomba! First stop! Yay! Found it.. at least I got a good stretch! Thanks for the cache!!
First day of my trip to Victoria Mega.
Lovely to stop at each town on the way to have a break.
Toowoomba was my first break.
Headed into GZ and found the cache.
Signed the log and returned to hide as I found it.
TNLNSL TFTC Thanks Speedmistress All good with this cache

I have driven up here lots of times but never even noticed this stop off area. Out with Remsjw, bennyboppers and my Geokids!
Cool place to stop while on our way to see some friends on our way home to Victoria. Geokid found this as Mr Geo read the riddle. Dipped some TB's. TFTC
It was Father's Day which meant that I could convince StephLego to do a couple of caches with me. The boys searched and soon found it.
**# 14734** Found on our extended 2016 winter escape trek.
A perfect spring morning for a drive around the East side of Toowoomba.
Not many muggles around here today.
Took a bit of a search but it is well hidden.
Thanks for the cache Speedmistress,

Up to Toowoomba for a job. Quick stop for this cache. Took a while for the GPS and compass to settle but once on the spot, it was an easy find. TNLN TFTC.
We found this one more easily than we should have as the cache was quite exposed when we arrived. We replaced it in the same place but hid it better by placing something on top of it. The CO might want to check if we have it right. We tried to use the description to reverse engineer the hide but I don't think it is quite right. TFTC
This was a hard one, we were about to leave when Riebster came up with the goods
This had as for a bit, just as we were about to give up we found it. Good luck and happy hunting for future visitors of this Cache.
Our second of three caching day in Toowoomba for this month, where we were joined by DiamonJs and Aussie Liahona for the morning. Fortunately it was a beautiful day, after not looking so promising late yesterday afternoon and evening!
Redwood Trail completed - now back to the Top Parking point to pick up the other GeoVehicle. But one we missed last visit to Toowoomba. Nice quick find in a typical rock wall spot!
Found at 12.45pm on 17th March 2016. TFTC.

Nice quick find, still not sure what some bits of the poem meant but thinking things may be a little rearranged then when it was placed. TFTC
Travelling south for work and stopped along the way to grab a few caches along the way and this was one of them. I remember grabbing the other one that was here a long time ago.
After parking nearby and a short search the cache was soon in hand.
Once the log was signed all was returned as found.

Inbound to Toowoomba for a brief visit, I pulled up at GZ on my way up the hill, only to find some muggles with an overheated car sitting within 5m of where I wanted to be... I asked if they needed help, to which they replied it was on it's way and with that, I carried on my way. [^]
On my way back down a couple of hours later, the coast was clear, so I shit back in and commenced the hunt. I checked a couple of different spots before locating the prize, but it made sense when I hit the jackpot. I added my name to the log, tucked everything back in place, then made my way back down to the big smoke...
Cheers Speedmistress.

Off to Toowoomba for a few days of caching. I had come off night shift this morning, so the short break was well timed.
I read the description and began to hunt. It did not take long to find the right spot even if some of the poem did not make sense to me.

Number 5 cache of the day with Wombles. A little trouble figuring out which part the poem was trying to lead us too but it wasn't a long search before the cache was in hand.

I'd been in Australia for a week now and was staying at my sister's place in Toowoomba (she's Bloodnock McGurgle). We'd popped down to Withcott to spend Christmas Day with my brother-in-law's family, and were returning back up the range. Brother-in-law and I spent 25 minutes mulling over the poem and possible hiding spots, no muggles here today to interfere either. No pennies dropped, nothing found at all. We blamed the Christmas sherry - it's embarrassing being only the second DNF out of so many. Merry Christmas all.
I tried to come here but keep going past was too late to turn off done that few times but today my geofriend said she came here and looked and looked so I said thank u remind me so I slowed my speed down and turned left and stopped here start look around few mins so I stopped and sat down and read the clue and moved myself bit further and sat down and looked in few seconds found it nice hide!! TFTC
We went down to Withcott and on the way back we stopped to grab this cache. A muggle pulled up in a ute to eat his lunch so we did the touristy thing and pretended we were there to take photos, etc. TFTC
This is a cache I've passed by many times, but today I decided to pull in and see what was up.
The hints were generally clear so I got into the right position and let my fingers do the walking.
Yep, there it is. Not totally convinced about my reconstruction of the scene, though! It's pretty tricky.
TFTC where all is fine.

We needed to find a cache in our local area to bookend the one found this morning in Vic...this one was the closest and seemed like the easiest with the limited time available. Took a seat and observed and was stumped by the rest of the riddle. However something caught my eye and I spied a cache in plain sight nestled back in its hidey hole. Signed the log and replaced with a piece of the surrounding camo in front of it to obscure it from view. TFTC Speedmistress.
Attending an event in Toowoomba today. Travelling up from Brisbane with Richmond Lad hoping to also find some caches as well as having lunch with fellow cachers. Thank you to all cache owners.
Visiting Toowoomba for an Event, we stopped to do this cache. Took a while to find it but was eventually found. TFTC Speedmistress.
After completing the caches in Redwood Park, we stopped half way up on our way back to Toowoomba to pick up this cache. This is not the first time we have stopped here for a cache on our way to Toowoomba, so a second smilie for us at the same spot.
Thank you Speedmistress for having placed he cache for everyone to enjoy.

We didn't read the cache info at first just looked here and here which was to no avail
Time to do some reading, time to follow some instructions, oh look here it is.

Being the last official day of school holidays, with only the weekend remaining before 'the daily grind' comes back into play, we decided this afternoon to do a little bit of caching on our way to Picnic Point to enjoy a take-away dinner at the park there
Usually park-and-go's aren't our favourite caches cause the kids can't get out and explore; but these ones on the range have been here for far too long, so we decided to grab them today as well!
Well, I may have to change my opinion of these types of caches I just assumed it was stuck on the back of the sign, but actually getting out and reading the description, it was a clever hide in a really nice location [^]
Not only was it a great hide, it was also interesting to note that there was a plaque naming a poet whose house was at that very location - so your description was even more clever!!
Thanks for the cache today Speedmistress - we won't dismiss these drive-by's so quickly anymore!!

Stopped here for a cache on the way to Toowoomba today. I checked the obvious spots to no avail, then read the clue. After pondering this for a while I changed my approached and soon spotted a possible hidey hole. Gotcha! A very neat bit of cache hiding this, nice one Speedmistress

Another day of caching around the Toowoomba area (part of the mass exodus of geocachers from Stanthorpe after the mega). Great hide and a beautiful countryside. Nice one Thanks to Speedmistress.
Today Bill was out caching with Felix2, LizandBruce & Lgoody when he found your cache.
He didn't like to have dismantling the hide to find this cache.
An amazing view from here.

Travelling around Australia in our Caravan with our cat.
Camped at the showgrounds with about 7 other Geocaching teams, discussion last night was around the Well-Travelled Cacher Challenge.
Plans were hatched to head off from camp at 8am to tackle the challenge.
After that Mr & Mrs Felix headed out to attempt a few other caches and do some shopping.

We spent ages looking for this cache as we didn't want to wreck anything - but in the end we did [xx(] Not the best idea of hiding a cache in this sort of location.
After a massive walk in Redwood Park we headed to Jubilee Park and found out how hard it is around here to find a cache [:o)]

Having come down the hill to Withcott on a mission today, I had to return up the hill and stopped to find this cache. After looking around at a different curve and finding nothing, I got to the right spot and found the cache. Thanks Speedmistress for hiding one Half Way Up. [^][^] Visiting some trackables for miles!

Find #1527
Having recently cached in Byron Bay, Sunshine Coast, Gold Coast, Brisbane City & Logan we decided we would head west today & see what was on offer. Warrego Hwy & Toowoomba were the main area of interest so here we go ...
Pulled up at this nice little rest stop to find muggles attending to a breakdown. Parked just past them & made our way to the suggested starting point (re poem). Quickly had the cache in hand.
The poem was well worded which made the find an easy one.

Found while out Caching with The Green Geckos. We had worked our way along the Hway and headed up the range and this was our next one. It took a little bit of searching but we soon had it in hand. Nice hide. TFTC.
Enjoyed the excuse to stop for a while but did not like having to dismantle the wall to find the cache. TFTC
Excellent little hiding spot had to read the riddle a couple of times but it came to me eventually!! TFTC
After I realised I had just missed my turnoff, I made a quick decision to stop half way up seeing as I had to go up anyway At GZ it didn't take long until I spotted something just not quite right. I pulled the beasty from it's hidey hole, left my mark and then replaced the cache as it had been found.
Thanks for the cache Speedmistress
