29-Feb-20
Today was always going to be a caching day. I was only able to get out to do two on the way to the pub for dinner

13-Feb-20
Took a bit of searching, but we spotted it eventually. Was a bit wary of sticking my hand in places after seeing the many huntsman exoskeletons on the roof

After finding another hide very similar to this in a picnic spot this find was very quick. Finally I beat Genghicat. Cache was found in good condition. Nice little rotunda at fish creek. Tftc

14-Sep-19
Great hiding spot! We nearly gave up

05-Sep-19
In the area for the day after dropping geokid to a nearby camp. What else to do with my time but cache of course.
I expected this to be a somewhat lengthy search but it was not so. After a short search, the cache was in hand. It pays to be thorough with your search here as it can be easily missed. I missed it on my first look.
Cache in good condition.
Nice little artwork on the walls.
Thank you for the cache here de ja vu

The cache often experiences cache creep, but we weren't able to locate the original one today. Cache and log replaced.

22-Apr-19
It wasn’t there! No possible places to hide. The navigation said it was where grass was and it was just recently mowed there.

01-Apr-19
I had a good look but I could not find it. I have a suspicion that I may not be there any more.

30-Mar-19
Searched high n low. 2 pairs eyes. Aware of 2 other DNFS. Still couldn't locate

18-Mar-19
Searched with Team Crackers today. We searched and searched but found nothing.

15-Feb-19
Too tricky. Looked in every small and large hiding place but nothing .We even looked on the inside of the roof! Next time we hope.

19-Jan-19
The kids demanded we take them to some beaches today, so we headed to Kilcunda first , followed by Sandy Point.

It was the first time we'd been to the beach at Sandy Point and the kids loved it, so I expect we will be down this way again.

We did a cache at Kilcunda and Sandy Point, and we stopped here to break up the drive home.

Only little Miss got out of the car with me to help look for this, and a good thing that she did, as she soon had it spotted, but I had to do the retrieve!

thanks for the cache de ja vu!

**This was 1 of 5 caches that was found by me on the 9th of 16 caching days here in Australia. Which also was the 46th of 75 days that my travels thru southeast Asia and Oceania would last.**

After seeing an snake along the Great southern rail trail I did over to this side using an more man-made path instead of taking an short cut thru the vegetation.

*Together with Ingabo, jsson and Sivun I would spend 16 days in Australia. Our journey started in Melbourne and ended in Sydney. After that I continued to New Zealand while the others headed back towards Melbourne.*
*All in all I did manage to find 263 caches, 9 types, 3 new months and many more statistical fillers.*

30/09/2018 - 4.05pm - Find No. 970 - 3rd of 3 finds - with Non-geo-son & non-geo-grand daughters.
NGS decided it was a good day to take the girls for a trip to Port Albert after he'd visited there for work earlier in the week to do some new areas for his Pokemon/Ingress bits while I did some finding.
The weather was cloudy with a bit of a breeze that was a bit chillier off the water while we were at Port Albert. No rain though - so all good for us.
We'd managed to find a little strip of beach at Port Albert so that pleased the girls. We did lots of wandering & looking, the girls were very taken with the white stones in the plant pots outside the restaurant entrance .... I think they all stayed in the pot, with none wandering into pockets. Big Grin The biggest girls nodded off a fair bit earlier than the smaller one on our trip home but they were both still awake for our last 'hunting/finding' for the day.
Our final geocaching stop had us had us at a shelter for a bit of a longer hunt than expected. NGS was doing his thing & girls decided they would hop out & 'help' me with my search. Cache was eventually spotted, retrieved, log signed, sealed, photographed & admired by nggd's before being returned as found. Thanks for the hunt Smile Sorry for the late log.

We had made the long journey down to this part of the world today specifically to grab a couple of caches to fill in the last map section of a challenge cache. This one was our first stop and after a couple of minutes we had the cache in hand. Job done, challenge completed. We will pick up a few more while we are in the area butwe have to head back north before too long to meet someone. Thanks for bringing us here and thanks for the cache.

30-Nov-17
Had called in to this one a few weeks ago but as it was just on dusk and, having no torch on hand, it was just too dark to see inside the shelter very well. So we left again but earmarked it for another day. Today we were here in daylight and immediately spotted something a bit different. Good hide, but oh boy was it ever smelly in here. I guess the hot, hot day was making the bird poop steam away, haha SL TFTC

13-Nov-17
Wow - gross - got it though!

05-Nov-17
Heading to Wilson's Prom for the first time with Pacgirl we stopped at Fish Creek for 'just one cache'.

Out and about on a little caching adventure with FISHERMAN84. This one nearly had us stumped! We left the kids in the car as it was boggy as hell and id just cleaned out the damn car! Hunting and searching, looking high and looking low.. Just about to give in and drive off when I was reading through logs and saw I had a PAF.. Hooray... A quick phone call and we had the little sucker in hand...

Thanks DeJaView Smile

14-Aug-17
Out on an adventure of the caching kind with MsEnchantress. First stop Fish Creek. After scratching our heads for sometime, a phone call was made and soon enough we had it in our grasp. Tftc!

17-Jun-17
Well I'm pretty sure that no one would want to have a picnic or any type of food for that matter at that rotunda! It was covered in bird droppings and spiders not to mention the dead birds and nests in every nook and cranny and the smell!!.... so we did find it eventually although searching for this was absolutely disgusting and on top of that, who the hell is alvin!? Thanks for the cache but I would seriously consider archiving this or at least move it to a slightly less fragrant location...

17-Jun-17
The horror! The absolute HORROR! Ive seen some things man :3 btw who the hell is Alvin??!

07-Jun-17

Easy find, though had to look twice. Out with PirateLinda for a day of geocaching.

27-May-17
Clanbeckett was brave enough to stick his fingers where I wouldn't. Good thing I have him along for the weekend - well he has organised it all - I still don't know our final destination. Thanks from Brisbane.

15-Apr-17
Huntsmen, a variety of dead birds, droppings everywhere not my favourite place to stick my fingers in but we found it!!

14-Apr-17
Took a bit but finally got it.

13-Apr-17
On our way back we picked this one up. TFTC

30-Mar-17
4th time lucky. After some encouraging words from a previous finder I thought I was in with a chance. Had to resort to a PAF until geo husband finally muttered those magic words. TFTC

Used old logs for hint to find this one. TFTC de ja vu.

25-Feb-17
There's something fishy in this gazebo indeed. I looked at that spot multiple times and didn't see it until Zedaycee shone a light into it and I was thought maybe then I saw it.... Of course... Bringing the gentleman he is, he let me reach for the cache...

25-Feb-17
Found it. This took some doing, a well hidded cache in a crappy place (meaning all the bird poop).
Still a beautiful spot for a cache.

With Zedaycee and Angelique Anja.

22-Feb-17
Daff and I were driving around the area today doing the tourist thing and picking up the odd cache if it was in the shade. So this was our next one. Hmm the birds definitely like this place so was not looking forward to the search. In the process i damaged my leg on the seat edge and bled all over the place. Nurse Daff came to the rescue here. Once patched up it was on with the search. Actually found it within 60 seconds so logged it and then left for Inverloch and a cold beer.
TFTC de ja vu

We looked high, we looked low, we looked in, we looked out, but today there was no way we could work this one out! This (2.0/1.5) didn't want to show itself today, so we are adding our DNF to the list.

Thanks anyway to de ja vu for bringing us to this location.

11-Dec-16
It was our last cache to try for the day but no luck here. We searched high and low in every crevice we could find but no find today.

11-Dec-16
As my stomach wasn't feeling quite right this morning, the smell and look of the 'picnic' rotunda, left me wanting to chuck up. Who would picnic here apart from the birds? We looked for a while, but my heart (and stomach) wasn't in it.

After apprehensively searching this humongous birdhouse, geohubby spotted it up without getting attacked or pooped upon. Messy place with a few skulls behind the siding. Here with HennyGeo on holidays in fascinating Australia from Vancouver Island Canada TFTC

This is one of those caches where Cathylm searches more than me, as being scared of spiders makes me cautious in places like this. Luckily I had my recently acquired magnetic tool to assist in finding and retrieving the cache as it had been placed upside down and was hard to grab.
Cathylm passed me down the cache to sign, as I was doing this she screamed. I jumped a mile, as a bird came out from behind one of the signs and flew out. We both then started laughing at what happened. Quickly signed, replaced and got out of there so the bird can go back home.
Thanks for the cache

Number 16 of 22 for the afternoon. Dropped some scouts off at the Prom for an overnight hike and cached our way back to our accommodation at Walkerville. We managed to turn an hour trip into a 7 hour caching adventure!!

Found this in the 2nd spot i looked. Luckily i was armed with a magnetic tool as someone had put it in sideways and i could feel it but couldn't get a grip on it. So i was able to retrieve it using the tool. After signing the log i placed in carefully the right way up so as to make it easier to retrieve for the next person.
While searching a bird flew out of its nest behind the sign where i was standing and it scared the daylights out of me. I screamed which made Julz scream - then she sheepishly had to admit she had no idea why she was screaming - except she screamed coz i did!! lol

Thanks for the cache.

29-Sep-16
After half an hour we finally found it! But there was no pen so we couldn't log it, once you find Alvin your getting close!

27-Sep-16
This one took us way longer to find than we'd like to admit... We got a bit distracted by Alvin but we got there in the end! TFTC.

27-Sep-16
We looked here, there and everywhere but finally came up with the goods.
