25-Aug-16
With no finds since 20/12/15 and 2 mtce requests, CO is still active but profile now suggests resides in Perth, repairs to this one seems unlikely might be time for reviewer intervention.

25-Aug-16
Temporarily disabled. Maintenance with possible replacement to be performed ASAP.

20-Jul-16
Out with Mattycat and Sebastbat and along with a newbie, after a walk on the trails of Cleland a few easier caches were the way to finish of the day unfortunately no luck with this one and like previous searchers we found the X but no cache.

20-Jul-16
An afternoon of caches with Sebastbat, (Alex) our muggle mate,
and Mr Froghoppin, found us at your cache!
Yep we found the "X"
but no cache there.
Not going to attack that wall,
pretty obvious where it should have been and nothing to find.
Adding to watch list for when it's checked please.
Thanks Twisted

I have found this a long time ago. Took Grandkids today and it has gone missing not a trace just the rock beside the road.

20-Jan-16
Didnt want to go wandering around/ across the busy rd with kids in tow, will leave this for another day

29-Dec-15
no luck for us and not sure where last finders placed it but certainly wasn't going to start moving any rocks, we found the X but no cache.

21-Dec-15
TFTC found it on the other side of the road just sitting in the open. Could CO possibly check and place where it is meant to be as we didn't know?

16-Oct-15
Smile

20-Sep-15
Bit tricky with the gps being out but the hint really helped! TFTC

11-Jul-15
Was looking on the other side of the road till we read the logs. Oh right. Co-ords a bit out. Managed to grab it right away. Looks like a great venue. Haven't been in here yet. Took Ring, left Bird Figurine. Cheers.

07-Jul-15
One of a few found while up in the hills on a rather dismal day, weather-wise, after a FTF hunt.
Thanks for the cache Megatrick

07-May-15
We went to this castle for a friend's son's wedding years ago. What a little gem. As others have said the cache is on the other side of the road to that indicated by the GPSr. I found the X after i found the cache. Thanks Megatrick for my lunch time adventure.

05-Apr-15
We had been out for lunch for Easter and decided to find some caches on the way home.. I handed over the GPS to Megs to find one and we ended up here. Once we found a safe place to pull over the cache was in hand rather quickly.. Love the hint..

03-Apr-15
After failing to find it previously and after receiving a tip off from a long time ago I finally found time to stop and nab it. Unfortunately I had no pen. So I took a photo as proof of find.

22-Mar-15
Geo daughter has been nagging us to go to the castle and show her where my wife and I got married. Had a nice walk through the garden and into the little "chapel" where we found our little name plate on the wall. Was a quiet, sunny afternoon here today but from the amount of rose petals on the ground it must have been a special day from someone here yesterday. After having a look around we wondered over to GZ and with the help of the hint we had the cache in hand quickly and log book signed. Thanks for bringing us back to our own little GZ of sorts! Was nice to reminisce. TFTC Smile

31-Jan-15
Once again the coordinates had me searching on the wrong side of the road, but a quick look at the cache description and hint soon had me zeroing in on the cache.

We spent a lot of time travelling around these parts back in our early caching days. It was nice to return to familiar territory today.

Thanks Megatrick.

Interesting spot!!!!
TFTC; #040

27-Nov-14
We pulled up at GZ and hopped out of the geomobile and stood around a bunch of gum trees which is near to where our GPSrs had GZ. A muggle drove past slowly, looking at us, then went around the corner. We started to search around the trees when a voice called out asking if we were okay. It was the muggle who was driving past and must have stopped around the bend. After assuring him that all was well and he choofed off, we recommenced our search but with no luck.
Finally Mrs TiedyeSmileys spotted the X on the other side of the road. Our GZ was way off (but fluctuating wildly today). The cache was soon found and we were on way again.

Found with CherryRose after Craft and Cafe at Summertown. Very hot afternoon and looked for a short time on wrong side of the road until CherryRose spotted the clue with her eagle eyes. Mr Tardis swung past here to grab another new Basket Range cache. I was initially searching in the wrong place, but then used Doctor Owl's co-ordinates and found the cache where X marks the spot. I'd recommend updating the cache co-ordinates because the published co-ords have you on the wrong side of the road.

You've gotta love a castle in the Adelaide Hills.

Signed the log. Thanks for the cache Megatrick.

A quick find on our way to Belair.

So that's where that castle is! Owl has been to Warwick Castle and it looks nothing like it. She was fixated on where her GPS said GZ was, but Earthlight found the cache some distance away. In case other cachers are equally confused, she took coordinates of S34 56.406 E138 46.143. (Which may or may not help!)

05-Apr-14
X-cellent cache. 2nd for us around 4pm Saturday afternoon.

05-Apr-14
Yeah my first ever first to find... I grew up in Basket Range and used to cycle to the Castle sometimes including showing a "tourist" to the tea rooms. I saw this one shortly after it was listed but exhaustion sent me to bed. I kept watching so decided to start my Saturday trying to grab the ftf. I have enjoyed other metatrick caches so expected a hunt but had cache in hand before geo hubby joined me. Took the slide left a strawberry in memory of the summer strawberry apples we used to grow on our orchard Tftc loved going back to the castle . Tftc
