Gorse is gone and long grass hiding stump.
Checked and found hiding under long grass growing from decaying stump. Moved to a more sustainable placement.
Had a good hunt around and were observed curiously by a number of muggle hounds, but no luck for us
Didn't find. It was very overgrown we were STUMPED on this one [see what I did there?]
I checked out 3 locations matching the hint but failed to discover anything hiding there. ️

I wrote a note about this cache exactly two years ago. Today I'm please to report that I found it. Three slugs of a variety that is new to me were on the outside of the container. A nicely crafted hiding spot. Thanks.
As we arrived Omaro we made a little walk to Cape Wanbrow and beyond. We enjoyed the beautiful view and were able to find all the caches.

No luck. I might have been working with out of date coordinates. If not it is a cache that might need some time due to the long grass.
#18295. Wading through very long grass when it is wet isn't a great deal of fun. However, if there is a cache to be found, it has to be done. Took it slowly as the ground was uneven. Quick find at the second hint object. TFTC.
Found with StreetWalkerNZ on day 3 of our 4 day trip to Oamaru and environs. The day started with a hard frost, but soon warmed up into yet another lovely winters day. The agenda today included Cape Wanbrow, Devil's Bridge plus a puzzle cache find which I needed for my final puzzle "dot" day .
It was a bit difficult searching in the long grass, had to watch ones footing. SW got stuck in and found the cache. It was rather busy here today, so good to see people out and about enjoying the good weather. TFTC.

First cache on the track and and easy find. A few years ago we found a few caches in this reserve but there was a forest at the time there. The walks/cycle tracks are well done and easy to walk. TFTC
Was attending the NZ Motor Caravan Assn rally at the racecourse as the morning dawned sorta fine with the promise of showers commencing soon I decide to go cyclocaching before the rain set in.
First cache sought as I MTB'd the Cape Wanbrow MTB tracks. Uh oh a few spits of rain felt. I could see that it was obviously raining out at the racecourse. Well constructed cache. TFTC hill55

Whoa! Grass really has gotten away. Found cache and moved it closer to fence by large found thing. Will post new coordinates shortly.
Down from Palmy & back in my hometown for Christmas. This was 1 of 11 on my list to find this morning, most around Cape Wanbrow. Not a great start...spent a lot of time walking through the wet grass. Will try again, hopefully before we head back up north.
Down from Palmy spending Christmas with the family in my old hometown! Out nice and early so no muggles around wondering what on earth I was doing! Around and around I went and no cache to be found. So I left with wet shoes, socks and running shorts!
Found during a long-overdue day of geocaching with safetykat in Oamaru. I was initially worried about this one as there is quite a bit of evidence of vegetation-clearing. safetykat got a hand on it after a hunch that something didn't quite belong, even in the de-vegetated area, and came up with a victory. Cheers!
Took a wander through the scrub since I made a bad judgement on the location. Eventually found the likely hint object but the trees have been cleared. Seemed like a hard find but I located it eventually. Great container. Tftc!
Searched for a while in the wet grass, but found it.

Parked the car up and off we went on our cape adventure. I took one look at GZ from the track and thought this will kick start my hay fever. Had a quick look, but failed. Continued round the grab the rest. By the time we came back, i was a dribbling snibbling sneezing mess with rashes up my legs and arms. And it was a quick find. Thanks for the walk and the hay fever.
Went past this initially, had a scout around but no luck. Had another crack on the way back and was successful. TFTC

Weekend trip to Oamaru and Dunedin for the Pink Concert so doing some caching on the way. TFTH.
A Queen's Birthday Sunday outing to explore the Oamaru biking tracks. After a circuit of the Reservoir, a bike along the short rail trail, now Cape Wanbrow. Checked one hint object, then another, then Mr D picked up the cunning hide.
Met up with BCD for some caching in Oamaru. Took a bit to locate but then BINGO! Very clever hide. TFTC
On a Sunday mission to finish off oamaru!!!
To many dog walkers around this morning.
so brought kjr for a look as she was heading back home .
Did take a bit of searching and dirty nails but finally finished the walkway with this find tftc

Ha ha, we were convinced it was just along the way, but finally decided to have a GOOD look. Great camo. Earns a fave from us. Nice new log too. Enjoying our holiday from Tauranga and the good weather too. TFTC
Found during my trip in New Zealand.
Today, it's my 17th day of my trip.
My travel today will be Curio Bay - Nugget Point - Dunedin - Moeraki - Oamaru.
I woke up early to go to see the lighthouse at nugget point.
After during the morning, I'm visiting Dunedin.
After a stop at the Moeraki Boulders, I finally arrived at Oamaru.
Arrive here, I come to this lookout. Really nice views on the Oamaru city from here.
After that, I decided to hike until the beach where the pillow lava are.
On my way, I search and quickly found this cache. Nice container.
Thanks for this cache and thanks for discovering this place !

Our day five we spend in Oamaru and experienced various highlights. Our walking on the Cape was very nice, the wether was fine and the caches were interesting. For the owner: This logbook is wet! TFTC!
Visiting from Maine, USA. Thanks for the cache. This ones for Harambe... may his spirit guide us to the next cache.
Beautiful spot! We keep forgetting our own though. Log was a little damp. Found as team Rewa. TFTC!
Good little cache here ... out on the last caching trip of 2017 and now heading home. Cheers
Nice container on a nice walk.

Last time I was here I was at the OamaruGeofest. I had to come back to pick up our campervan. The clutch went on it not far out of Oamaru. The bonus is I get to go caching with my buddy Bbear44 again.

Back in town for the weekend to pick a Nosynel's campervan that died during the geofest. After getting it we decided to collect a few caches we didn't get time to do during the geofest. Lovely day today great views and lots of sun. Thanks so much for the smile.
After a day off of caching yesterday because of the weather, instead having a quiet day exploring town and visiting Steampunk HQ I decided to stay an extra day in Oamaru and make up for the lost numbers yesterday. This was my first for the day. Clever hide. TFTC hill55

Oops, that was decidedly stupid . We wandered about without success for a little while. We read something about a different container in a previous log but why oh why would I think that meant I had to closely examine a dead rabbit !!!! Wished I hadn't - - -say no more. Meanwhile Isis58 had found the cache - - -all's well that ends well - - - and yay I still get a smiley. TFTC .
No its definitely not the dead rabbit but another cleverly concealed hide. A well deserved favourite while walking various tracks out on the Cape this afternoon after completing some planting. TFTC # 11,175
Found on Day 5 of our geocaching trip down from Tauranga to attend Oamaru's Geofest 2017; many thanks for the cache.
An easy find, because so many people have been here in the last couple of days. I left the TB 'The Star of Valiance'. Great cache hide. A favourite tick. TFTC hill55.
A quick find with the Fergclan while attending the Geofest event in Oamaru.

Down in Oamaru for the Geofest with Aiden29 and Bertie Blowfish. It was an early start for us as we were now participating in the organised event race (Rogaining) and we were on a mission and while in the area doing the race we captured caches wherever possible. We soon had this cache in hand.
Out grabbing some caches with Di Morgan while here at the Oamaru Geofest. A nice hide in a lovely area.
Thanks for placing the cache for us to find.

Out participating in the race event for the Geofest, which happened to bring us right by here. The Jags made the find while we were completing the race requirements.
7673. Found after a short walk. Nice container. A clever and well hidden cache. Thanks. Rodney and Iris.
