After parking my snail shell up at the Racecourse in Reefton I, along with FN1970, travelled up Inangahua way to sign up off a few caches. The obvious hidey-hole.Cheers for the cache, bumandworker.
Together with Travelser I'm going Down Under. We are driving around with a motorhome. After 7 weeks driving around through Australia we arrived the 2th November in New Zealand. For ten days we will cross the Northern Island and than for 2 weeks the Southern Island.During our trip we of course search for several caches. Most of them brought us to very nice spots, like this one.All the CO's, and in this case bumandworker, thanks for bringing us here and give our trip a special accent.
After traveling around Australia with Oopie for 7 weeks, we have now been traveling with the camper in New Zealand for 4 weeks. Along the way we will of course also visit various types of caches in beautiful places, including this one. Thanks CO for creating and laying this cache.

Nice quick find to add to our trip road map, as I was pulling a U-turn due to passing the cache a roadside cow appeared and stared into my soul giving me a huge fright when I saw it.
A quick pick up as i raced to get the job done before a cyclist muggle came over the hill. Made it - just!

(# 5445). Today is day 9 of my West Coast trip. Today I am traveling from Westport to St Arnaud. Main goal was the Brunner Peninsula Walk. A quick find. Everything in order. TFTC
Last cache for the day. This one is in the bag. Cheers.
Thanks for the great weekend.
But there are still more to discover so we will be back. Now time to turn of Nigel Navigator and get back to Blenheim. Bummer Karens Icecream stop on the Wairau Valley Road is closed up.
Back to drizzle in Blenheim around 5pm. Another amazing Geotour. Thanks everyone.
Its off on another geotour this weekend with The Seagnoid, Zara and Toby. We spent last Sunday in Nelson collecting the gemstones from the Museum Heist, so this weekend we are on a Geotour to the Westcoast with The Seagnoid, Zara and Toby, to return the gems. Saturday we visited Denniston, Kawatiri River Trail and Tauranga Bay. The gems have been successfully returned to the Museum. So lets see what else we can find while here. Thoroughly enjoyed walking the Cape Foulwind Walkway Sunday morning.

For our NZ visit we created a "wishful-thinking-to-do-list" ... knowing we can not do them all but we can at least try. Old caches, earth, virtual and webcam are on the top of our list... but also some traditionals, multi etc...
Today on our way to Harihari and decided to stop for some caches along the road as we calculated that we should not have much time left considering the travel distance for today...
this was one of them... and also an easy find.

The highlight of today were the Pancake Rocks. We found one cache there and also a foto trap. First we thought that this might be the cache - maybe now they have some nice pictures with a very rare species - the geocacherensis germanicus. We drove along the coast and had a lot of stops - some with caches and a find, some without cache or an DNF. The coast is really beautiful and at the bay with the penguin project we thought about staying here the rest of our holidays. After leaving the coast we followed the Buller River - again awesome. We remember Glenhope, a nice café at Murchison and a lot of fruit sellers along the road. Our stage ended at Motueka where we tried to do a mystery but failed at the final.

22211 Traveling through New Zealand to see nice people and places. Also to find some geocaches.
Today we went from Greymouth to Nelson, via Punkaiki and we had all day, so we made many stops. Allong the road we found many caches, but we also visited the Pancaces and Windholes. The caches brought us to many special remarkable places.
Most caches were found quite quickly. A few took more time. Muggles did not watch what we were doing.

One of the many caches during this year's vacation. Thanks to all of you who contributed in hiding and maintaining those caches. You are those ones who made this hobby possible.
I’d driven from Nelson down to Westport for the day to attend a funeral; found this on the way back north, as it was getting dark.

Auf dem Weg von Hokitika über die Pancake Rocks nach Manpua, haben wir die tollen Aussichten genossen und die Caches am Wegesrand eingesammelt. Danke fürs Legen. Dieses Döschen konnten wir gut finden.

#5284. The family are on holiday in the South Island. After driving up from Lake Brunner yesterday we spent the night in Westport. Today we head to Nelson. Of course I have a list of geocaches to tick off before we arrive in Nelson. This was on the main highway and the name caught my attention. I was also getting thirsty so needed to stop for a drink break. So pulled up and made a quick find. Signed and replaced the cache as found. Thanks for the cache b&w.
Heading to Nelson from Westport today and had time to score some unfound caches along the way. A quick find here. Signed log, TFTC
This was the twelfth day of my driving trip down to Oamaru for Geofest 2017. I stopped every five to ten kms or so along the way to grab a cache. This expanded my driving time to a total of two weeks to get there and home again. I ended up going a total of 3,500 kms.
I am continuing the long drive back home and picking up caches along he way. TFTC.

Found with NZDi. We had been intending to do a trip to the Coast after a workmate and fellow geocacher came back from a Christmas camping holiday and dropped a map of walks around Westport on my desk. On comparing the walk and geocaching maps, it was apparent to see there was plenty of scope for a geocaching holiday or three to the coast. The only thing we needed to ensure was that the weather played the game, unlike when my workmate had her Christmas break there. Knowing that we had the weekend free this weekend I kept an eye on the forecast for the coast and it was looking pretty good, so a motel was booked and a rudimentary and flexible geocaching plan was hatched.
The idea was to head to the Coast early on Friday morning picking up no more than half a dozen caches along the way. We limited ourselves to this as we know from previous experience that it can take over six hours to do an hour and a quarter trip if you are geocaching as well.. Once we got to the coast, we were going to do the Cape Foulwind walk, then cache as much as we could from there back to town. We then intended to do as much of the K.R.T caches before retiring for the night and in the morning do the Charming Creek Walk before heading back home again picking up the odd cache along the way. In the end it was mission achieved with 74 finds over two days and only one DNF along the way.
We came across from Blenheim yesterday getting a few caches along the way. On arrival on the Coast we first headed out to the Cape Foulwind walking track and did that both ways. Then we found most of the other caches on the west side of the river. After that we headed over to the east side of river and did the K.R.T series and accompanying caches. Today's mission is to do the Charming Creek Walkway, then head home.
The 20 caches that we did on the Charming Creek walkway took us around five hours to do on foot and was an amazing walk, but no it is time to head home so I've made a selection of caches that I think are on the right (left) side of the road and which have reasonable parking to get on the way home. I've also given myself a two minute limit to find the cache, if I haven't found it by then, it is on to the next.
This was the seventh of nine caches we found on the way back home to Blenheim and like the other eight was a QEF PnG. I'm more of a Cookie Bear fan so it would be Dum Dee Doo if it was my cache.

Today, my road trip was gonna take me from Greymouth via Punakaiki to Motueka (near Abel Tasman National Park).
Like all the other days, I stopped for caches occasionally, most of the times when they were at interesting locations like lookouts, short walks etc. anyway...
Another wuick smiley along the road. Quick find, no muggles...

Out and about on a Queen's Birthday Monday road trip to find a few caches that have appeared since I've travelled this route. Did the circuit from Nelson to Murchison, Springs Junction, Reefton, Inangahua and back to Nelson via Murchison. Although the weather forecast was looking a bit dodgy for today, I decided to risk it and was well rewarded. Apart from a misty, drizzly start and end to the day, most of the time was just overcast with the occasional glimpse of blue. Second to last find for me today. TFTC, Biggles.
A plan was hatched during the week for a raid on the West Coast on some of the various caches placed over this way. In scope were the pack of cards power trail (gracie7 = mum), some Greymouth ones in town, a Wherigo, Earthcache, missing D/T combo at Blackball, some pre solved puzzle caches and anything else that took our eye on the way past. Setting off with co pilot the seagnoid (I drive, he directs) we left Blenheim at 0600 (should have left at 0500 because we were driving some of it in daylight, and not caching, a waste of daylight!) All up another epic day; just under a hundred finds, 3 or 4 F T Fs, over 700 kms on the speedo, 15 hours driving and some new scenery seen (should that be saw-ery). We saw Wekas (well I did anyway, t S saw a goat on a goat house and lots of coal, but then what do you expect!) The weather was kind, the sun shone a bit and the temp hit 18 degrees at one point, thanks West Coast,
Thanks to all the C Os whose caches we found today, some logs were signed C T S to save some log book space, others a scrawl and the date 2/5.
Time to head back along the road to home, has been a long day so far. Light is starting to go and torches are being looked for again as we approach each cache on the return leg
Nice and easy by torchlight.

[green] An awesome day trip with Capperz. FTFs, earthcache, wherigo, a cache deep in a mine, an F T F on a cache yet to be published and a 52 cache power trail. 98 caches in all, we were caching in the dark and too tired to bother with trying to get to 100 (and I have done 100 in a day before). But it also involved a 3.5 hour drive from Blenheim to Greymouth, and another 3.5 hour drive back. Plus weka and goats (I'm claiming the goat, but alas, can only claim one weka. Capperz trumps me easily with a full house: three weka and a couple of weka). And rats and possums...
Last cache for the day. I have 98, Capperz a few less as he had already found a few. Do I want to do two more? Nah. I want sleep. Sleeeep...
Logged as CTS 2.5. - Capperz & the Seagnoid 2/5/15
