#4007 After a ride on the chairlift at Arthurs Seat we made our way down to Rye fighting with an enormous volume of traffic en route! Finally we had parked near BTU - Bus Stop with the plan to walk to BTU - Twisted. A coolish day but still lots of muggles enjoying the beach.
Nice to have a quick find here to keep things moving along. No brass in our pocket, but we did slip the TB into our pocket before moving to the next cache . TFTC BorisB&Natasha & Nut bear.

This one was easily found. What was not quite so easily done was getting the two teenage boys to come down out of the tree. TB drop. TFTC!
Found at 10:59 AM GAFF1 in the company of maccamob & Alansee.
Now that was odd! An easy hide with a larger than usual container and a hint as well! Trying to soften us up for some harder caches eh?
Thanks BorisB&Natasha

Found by Mary and David, in company with pprass and Alansee, at 11:00. Signed as MAP (Maccamob, Alansee, Pprass). Our second day on the Bay Trail. Much better weather today, having only one very brief period with a few spots of rain. Still quite windy, but we had a good run with all the BTR and BTU caches finished, and a few other caches added for good measure. As happened yesterday, quite a few of the caches took us quite a while to find, but we seemed to do better as the time passed. Our thanks to BorisB&Natasha.
Had a great caching day today with pprass and maccamob. We found everything today that we could have and only had one real PAF. It was a combination of great hides, some good finding, and sheer persistence!
Out on a caching blitz in this beautiful weather with AdrianB and Kristy’s Adventures. This was a much quicker find after the mammoth effort for the last one. On we go. TFTC
Found today on our Portsea to Rye Tour, that took us from the back beaches of Portsea, then through to the Portsea bayside. We then followed through Sorrento, Blairgowie and finished in Rye. Our day went from 11:00am through to 7:45pm. Some wonderful caches, placements and views on the way. Some easy, some easy that we made hard, a couple that were hard that we were lucky to make easy and quite a number that were just plain hard. Thanks to all cache owners for the wonderful day out from D & HA B-A
Find #4385. Found @ 18:15 with The Good Lady Wife.
We're holidaying nearby and went for a walk to get out and about, and collect a few caches. We're having to go a bit further along the coast to get to caches that I've not attempted before. After watching the Grand Final on TV, we decided to get some steps and find some caches.
While I was (unsuccessfully) looking for the previous cache, TGLW decided to walk on ahead to see if she could locate this one. She came back and I decided to call quits on the search for the other one, and walked here. It was a very quick find when I arrived,
Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables.
Thanks for the cache BorisB&Natasha

Had some time today to head down the peninsula and try to knock off a few more of the bay trail series. I decided to drive out and work back from the west so I continued to move the car along as I cached. One of the easier finds of the day and I wasn't even limited by the fact that I didn't know what a Moonah tree looked like! I was able to park very close to this one and jump out to take a look. After a short search I was pleased to spot this one and a little later I was adding my name to the log. My eleventh find of fifteen for the day. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables. Thanks for the the cache and this great series BorisB&Natasha & Nut bear.
We enjoyed our last find and the hunt. We are somewhat grateful that our Number 800 is straightforward.
To all those involved in this game we thank you.

A cruise along the bay for the last day of my holidays. A quick find here and cleaned some rubbish items out. Love the creepy gnarly trees here. Thank you
Having a bit of a wander along the coast before heading to Melbourne and finding a few caches as I enjoy the sea and this lovely track. An easy find here TFTC BorisB&Natasha
Another easy one, although I nearly popped my head up through a cobweb! I ducked back down and reached over the branch. As I was unclipping and investigating some muggle with a woofer felt the need to come creeping along. So I stashed the cache in my pocket and went to investigate the road for a minute or so. They passed and I returned the cache to its hide. Did a TB swap.
This was the easiest find find of the day so far. Being the week before Schoolies meant there were virtually no Muggles around, we were able to park within about 8m and the finding device was virtually unnecessary. For once neither a difficult stretch nor groping around on the ground, so despite me not feeling particularly well, it was a quick find at a good height for me. The log is almost full.
Found it , Round 2 at this series. This one was found quickly, all in good order. Tftc

Out for a days drive with MuggleWifeDoes and catching up on some long ago DNF's or missed opportunities down on the Mornington Peninsula. And enjoying the sunshine at the same time, what a glorious day
A nice quick find today, pretty sure I haven't been here before.
Dropped TB.

Walked past the cache early, then spent 5 minutes looking in the wrong places. Found on the 2nd pass.
After a delicious lunch at Blairgowrie we needed some afternoon exercise, we needed a cache or two. This was an easy one and a good way to start the afternoon.
Found by The Empire + H
After lunch at St Andrew's Beach Brewery, we decided a walk along the beach was in order. Some of these caches were able to be accessed with the car running closely, others were a lovely walk after parking nearby. There weren't many cars on the road, which was surprising as it's still school holidays and weather was nice. There were a few people with and without doggos along the trails near the beach.
A short walk from the car for a quick find. Thanks for the cache BorisB&Natasha & Nut bear.

Some teenage kids at a bus stop were making funny noises at us as we rode past on the way here - how rude.

Out for a cache day in Peninsula area with crank1. Perfect weather and nice beaches. TFTC and bringing us here.
Continuing on with my morning walk with a cache success rate of one and one , I arrived at this cache next. With very few muggles about it was a quick find in an obvious location.
Thanks for the cache and the series.

Today was a return for us in several ways, to Geocaching after our last find in August, to Geocaching at home after our last find in Aus. in June and to this one after a DNF 364 days ago!
We approached Brass In Pocket with some apprehension after the disappointment last year. The Found Out was still a disappointment, though. Some inexperienced newbies don't know that caches need to be hidden! There it was, lying on the ground in the open. Ah, well, we suppose a find is a find. It was hidden when we left. Thanks for the cache, BorisB&Natasha & Nut bear.

Eleven months after Dicksontwo and I visited this place we were totally dumbfounded, especialy as this was a third DNF in a row on the day. But at last we found it! Strangely it was out in the open today so we carefully replaced it where we believed it should be. TFTC
Thanks for putting a replacement cache here when the old one went missing, curious as to what it was given the favourite points! Looks like it will be staying simple for the time being, oh well was a good break after the D4.5 right before it lol
TFTC!

Ahh yes the Bay Trail! I remember this series from my last visit which I think was over a year ago. Today I have returned on foot once again to continue some of this trail! In total I covered about 9km of the coast with 34 finds and only 3 DNF's!! Which I thought was a massive effort given the difficulty of some of the caches. To be fair I did spent just over 5 hours making my way through them! Thanks to BorisB&Natasha + Nut Bear for one of the most impressive long distance trails I have come across

After an early appointment in Mornington we went on a slow, lazy drive of the peninsula, taking in the back beaches, Point Nepean national park, noodles in Sorrento and culminating in a drive home along the beach cherry picking a few caches to find.
Yet again, I overshot the parking spot. Trudging back, I climbed over a large tree only to see a defined path and entrance I could have used. Cheesh>
Luckily I found the cache quite quickly and was on my way. Thanks again Nut bear.

Well this was the last for the day before turning back and riding to the car.
I know I could've found a lot more but my head wasn't in it. In saying that, I enjoyed my ride here and got a nice little haul of smilies to keep my map looking more and more yellow.
Cache was in good condition. Thank you!

Since moving from New Zealand I have been enjoying the area, exploring and finding caches. I have got a nice streak going and hoping to let it run for as long as possible. I usually cache on my own but sometimes I will collect my nephew stinky bob and my brother stinky tom who both enjoy this hobby.
A big thanks goes out to all the cachers and cache owners without whom this lifestyle would not be possible.
The caches I’ve found in Australia so far have for the most part all been in great condition. Keep up the good work.

Out caching with Missmash. This was an easy one for the Bay Trail series but we'll take it. Tftc
There is always something different in this series. Apart from finding the cache there is always the surprise as to what it will be. Another good one to find. TFTC
I spent a very pleasant morning cycling from Blairgowrie to the Information Centre at Dromana. I found most of the caches I looked for, but the odd trickier one escaped me. The philosophy of the day was to keep moving, anything that wasn’t found in a couple of minutes looking went unfound. Thanks to all of those who have put the effort into setting up and maintaining this series. Cheers and TFTC
Out and about with mazza-g on the bikes. A nice day to continue this series. After stopping in Sorento for some delicious ice cream we decided to finish up the day with a quick detour here to grab this one. It was nice to find this one after failing on a previous attempt.
On a day out with Jascat to find more caches in this series. After leaving Sorrento and travelling home we stopped to search for some caches we didn't have success with on our previous visit. This was one of them. TFTC
/-/-/-/-/ BTU DAY 1 \-\-\-\-\
Our first day tackling the BTU seemed to be topsy-turvy as we had a few finds and a few DNFs. A lot of today's finds were amazing. Luckily, this was one of the finds.
Finally! An easy one on the BTU! A quick find and log then it was placed back.

After almost completing the Point Nepean series and riding from Portsea to Sorrento yesterday, we thought we would grab a few more in the short time we had this morning before heading for home. We have really loved the variety and quality of your hides, and congratulate you in your efforts to make geo-caching fun.
Another interesting hide, but it didn't take us too long this time.

Found this one today after doing my rounds looking for a summer job. After having my last interview for the day I decided that I might as well do the final push to 450 and do some of the local caches in the area...... which also helps me find some more of the Bay Trail series. This cache was one of the small few that I did on the walk home, after which I caught the bus near my house and did the 4.5 km walk home yay. Haha anyways as I am writing this I am getting ready to go out and have some family photos done. Thanks for the cache and the lovely stroll done this section of the wonderful trail

Out riding with Jascat & Mark9375. No luck with this cache today. Jascat tried to contact a friend but think he was busy on another caching adventure! Another time
Mr Dicksontwo and I were sailing well until we diverted to the Welcome to Blairgowrie cache enroute. That was out first DNF after a successful day so far. Perhaps we lost our mojo by diverting from the BTU! Yes, we gave it our best, but how much time do you spend getting a bit confused and better to leave it for another time.
Mr Dicksontwo and Mr Rogdel found time at last to add some more smileys to the BTU series. A beautiful Peninsula day, lovely stroll along the bay and some Finds, just what we like. Except that we seemed to have lost our touch when we diverted to the Welcome cache site because this one eluded us too. Oh. yeah, we know about the title and the Hint but ...!
We'll return !

I was heading down to Point Nepean to attend an Event there but I stopped off at this one on the way.
I'm not sure why I had not found this one previously but as it was there I went for a look.
Once at GZ, I was onto this one quickly but after finding the log It then took my a while to get it out of the camo.
The cache page states that it is a black bison but there is no bison at all just a log inside to camouflage, but still as usual it is a very nice hide.
**Thanks to Nut bear for placing this cache.**

shhhh don't tell anyone but given the cleverness of this team I knew the song was going to lead me directly to the spot if I saw it & indeed it did. The boys think they are the smartest mum as it was another quick find for us.
Caught up with Moosetash and decided to grab a few caches together. Found quickly thanks to clue.

We spotted the obvious, and then the not so obvious and Mrs Happy feet quickly had the hide in hand. Thanks for the hide and bringing us here.
After missing the disguised devil, we were in the mood for one more cache. With the groovy tunes of Brass in Pocket buzzing around in our heads, we found another nice hide. Thanks again.
Accurate coordinates and something a little different led to a quick find of a well designed and hidden cache. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks Nut_bear for the cache. It earns a favourite from us.
