There were muggles galore here. One sitting on the wall listening to Reggae and another couple reading books just below gz. We had a quick look in the hope of spying the hide but no cigar today.
Found by Mary and David, in company with pprass and Alansee, at 11:10. Signed as MAP (Maccamob, Alansee, Pprass). Our second day on the Bay Trail. Much better weather today, having only one very brief period with a few spots of rain. Still quite windy, but we had a good run with all the BTR and BTU caches finished, and a few other caches added for good measure. As happened yesterday, quite a few of the caches took us quite a while to find, but we seemed to do better as the time passed. Had some fun here. David spotted the cache after Peter unknowingly revealed it. Our thanks to BorisB&Natasha.
Found at 11:10 AM GAFF5 in the company of maccamob & Alansee.
Ha! We were scrambling around GZ and I unwittingly knocked the container out of its hidey hole and David spotted it [:o)]
Thanks BorisB&Natasha

Had a great caching day today with pprass and maccamob. We found everything today that we could have and only had one real PAF. It was a combination of great hides, some good finding, and sheer persistence!
Out on a caching blitz in this beautiful weather with AdrianB and Kristy’s Adventures. Found this after realizing we had taken the wrong path past GZ. TFTC
Had a nice little “detour” on the beach which the boys were not too impressed about before finding this one... think my navigating duties are over for the day!
Found today on our Portsea to Rye Tour, that took us from the back beaches of Portsea, then through to the Portsea bayside. We then followed through Sorrento, Blairgowie and finished in Rye. Our day went from 11:00am through to 7:45pm. Some wonderful caches, placements and views on the way. Some easy, some easy that we made hard, a couple that were hard that we were lucky to make easy and quite a number that were just plain hard. Thanks to all cache owners for the wonderful day out from D & HA B-A
An awesome one to end on for the night. As always, thank you for the hunt. LouD and I love your work!
Had some time today to head down the peninsula and try to knock off a few more of the bay trail series. I decided to drive out and work back from the west so I continued to move the car along as I cached. I was deflated after a DNF at the last one so was keen to get back on track here. This one was a lot more straight forward and once I got to GZ I quickly spotted something out of place. After a bit more investigation I had the log in hand to add my name. My eighth find of fifteen for the day. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables. Thanks for the the cache and this great series BorisB&Natasha & Nut bear.
TFTC. Onto the next one!

I was quite pleased to have found the previous cache as for once the area was muggle free so I wandered down the beach to locate this cache... this one was much easier to locate .. thanks again to BorisB&Natasha & Nut bear for creating and maintaining the cache .. looking forward to completing the series.
Second visit. Approached from the beach due to the density of the nearby foliage. TFTC
One of the easiest of this series. Tried to make thecamo more effective on this one. TFTC
Quick easy find on a much cooler day than yesterday. What dhame oeople don't take their rubbish out with them when they leave the beach. SL TFTC
Having a lovely day along this coastal path and the beach collecting some wonderful memories as I add some more smiles to my map. No water other than the sea visible here TFTC BorisB&Natasha & Nut bear
Coordinates lead us straight to something unusual, so we searched and find our target here. It was great we didn’t have many Muggles to contend with today. We are having mixed success today, especially with the last few we’ve tried to find. The variety of caches keeps interest in the activity.
~~{Bay Trail: The Almost-Finish}~~
Today was a day in which tyres get pumped and leg muscles complain in agony. The Bay Trail was being continued on bike. Surprisingly enough, after early-July's Portsea to Sorrento trip, we've almost completed the Bay Trail completely! And so the day went on with many stops, searches and stunning views on a series where every twig's a bison, every stone an army match container, and every cache needing more favourite points than I have to give!
A massive thanks to BorisBNatasha + Nut Bear for taking care of these phenomenal caches and giving us the odd hint when we need it!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Our final Bay Trail cache for the day led us to a very nicely camoed tube. Thanks for the exceptional caches hidden! Now for the 3.5km ride back to the car... ;P
1st day of school holidays, taking the kids out to enjoy the sunshine TFTC
This was the first find of today adventure, not sure I would have found it if not for the clue.
We looked everywhere around here, then OHC spotted it. How did we not see that sooner! Thank you
Well, if it rains, I don't care,
Don't make no difference to me.
TFTC! Found after a bit of searching and reading through old logs. Obvious when spotted. Thanks for this trail
Found on my second attempt... with a lot of help from the Cache Owner. A very clever hide that is immediately obvious... once you see it.
Thanks for the cache, the series and the help... all make it worth a Favourite Point.
Out for an early morning walk before the weather got too hot, managed to find a few before breakfast, TFTC
Today's weather mixed of showers and sunny - headed out for a hunt day/night at Portsea, Sorrento and Blairgowrie with crank1. Brilliant cache, took us a while to find this, due to dark. Thanks BorisB&Natasha for bringing us here.
Very sneaky! I couldn't see anything at all within 5m of the coordinates, plus close to the wall that could be a preform tube. I was almost giving up when I moved some debris and saw something worth checking out! Very clever and another perfect set up Thanks!
Ahh yes the Bay Trail! I remember this series from my last visit which I think was over a year ago. Today I have returned on foot once again to continue some of this trail! In total I covered about 9km of the coast with 34 finds and only 3 DNF's!! Which I thought was a massive effort given the difficulty of some of the caches. To be fair I did spent just over 5 hours making my way through them! Thanks to BorisB&Natasha + Nut Bear for one of the most impressive long distance trails I have come across
Back today with Ahomburg to hopefully see the completion of this great series. This took a little searching with it intially missed but then eventually spotted it. Nice.
Find #8697
Out and about with my regular caching partner in crime SedgwickDave. Our primary target was the dozen or so BTU caches that we had yet to find and then any other cache that took our fancy. There was also the rule when we go caching together to find at least 3 cache types, just to mix it up a bit.
The bay trail begins!! our first BTU for today and now I am remembering how tricky some of these can really be. It took a few minutes but the cache was found.
Many thanks to BorisB&Natasha & Nut bear for the cache. TNLN.
Out caching with Missmash. Joined forces with jaamc_3335 who we met in our travels. Between us we found the devious hide. Tftc
Another dnf on this trail. We had a pretty good look, aware of the impending squall. You beat us this time.
This is a late log, I found this one when I spent the day at the beach. I realised that we were bascially in front of the cache hiding spot, so a quick detour on the way back to the car and it was signed and returned, with out any muggles spotting me.
TFTC!!
After almost completing the Point Nepean series and riding from Portsea to Sorrento yesterday, we thought we would grab a few more in the short time we had this morning before heading for home. We have really loved the variety and quality of your hides, and congratulate you in your efforts to make geo-caching fun.
Two sets of eyes are always an advantage when looking for a cache. Found with not too much trouble.
Found this one today after doing my rounds looking for a summer job. After having my last interview for the day I decided that I might as well do the final push to 450 and do some of the local caches in the area...... which also helps me find some more of the Bay Trail series. This cache was one of the small few that I did on the walk home, after which I caught the bus near my house and did the 4.5 km walk home yay. Haha anyways as I am writing this I am getting ready to go out and have some family photos done. Thanks for the cache and the lovely stroll done this section of the wonderful trail
Out and about with mazza-g and Mark9375 on the bikes. A beautiful day to explore this part of the peninsula. Another great cache. TFTC.
Found 11/11 with Dicksontwo. Sometimes we wonder why muggles don't see these things! Another cleaver hide. TFTC
Mr Dicksontwo and Mr Rogdel found time at last to add some more smileys to the BTU series. A beautiful Peninsula day, lovely stroll along the bay and some Finds, just what we like. Found this one seventh at 12.55 pm, Mr is really on fire today, keen eyes picking the unusual! TFTC TNLNSL.
Judy by herself while Dave was still back trying to find the last one. A good hide yet again. Thanks.
I've never noticed the brickwork like this is the area, so I stayed on the higher ground, the boys on the beach then they ended up joining me. Most of these hides although in potentially high muggle spots especially in the warmer weather, they are all mainly out of eyes view. This find goes to mum.
Up early grabbing a few of this series before there are too many muggles. Had to wait for a few dogs being walked but then made the discovery.
Thanks Nut bear for placing & maintaining the cache for us to find.
That was worth the walk. I've been having a day of dnfs but that was a great hide. TFTC
Decided I needed to get out for a walk. Why not do a few caches while I'm at it. A very unusual find. Gave me a good laugh. TFTC
Accurate coordinates and something a little out of place in this environment led to a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks Nut_bear for the cache.
Had no problems here. Sometimes you win and sometimes you don't. I am smiling now.
Found it! another cache found by Muggle Heather! She is getting very good at this! We enjoyed watching the sun set over the bay. Better get moving, we won't see anything soon at this rate! TFTC SL Log is very damp!
