Next, we made our way to this cache. Despite what we thought was quite a through search, and a PAF, we were unable to find the cache. Perhaps this cache could use a CO check.
Staying down the Coast in between my two night shifts decided clean up the map a little bit. I only have ten hours down time, not worth driving home when I can cache instead.
This one was a nice easy hide with the cache quickly in hand. Unfortunately the hinge has rusted out and has snapped off and the lid doesn't sit well on the container. Unfortunately I didn't have any to replace to container.
Log signed and replaced anyway, and off I went. Thanks for this one MM, needs a little bit of attention but it's saveable. Smiley #358

Came back for attempt No 2 , and I swear I found it in a place that I had previously checked thoroughly .
Thankfully I can now turn this DNF to a smiley face.
Thank you

Parked across from this one. Knew sort of where to look. Knew my newbie was keen to help find another.
Knew I should have tripped him up...
OMG he found it before I even crossed the road. Screamed at him to at least let me SEE where it is before he grabs it. LOL. Quick sign of the log...and returned him home (he's too good at this).
Nah kidding will bring him for the likes of a nearby wall or 2.

Did not find this one today , jumped , hung , felt ,m0onkey barred ...even lifted the geokid up so she could see , searched high and low and could not find anywhere. Looked from a distance , looked close up.
There is a very busy warehouse directly across from GZ , I wonder if somebody from there has muggled it ??

I found it, but unfortunately could not reach it, shorty person I am, took a photo as proof if need be, tftc monkey maker
A very appropriately named cache. Luckily Mick from The X-Trailers had long enough arms today. My last day on the coast staying with them. A great day to be out caching. TFTC
After going to the Metricon last night to watch Adel v Suns a few hours caching today was on the cards before Earthlight heads back to Adelaide
Geo hubby had to retrieve this cache after he spotted it seeing as both Luz and I are vertically challenged
Nice and quiet around here on a Sunday morning

I drove up the GZ to find an office worker type standing there. I sat nearby and he soon made a quick exit. My long arms helped me retrieve this one.

Found it thanks to Dahumbug having loads of experence helping short chicks see bands.
Checking on others in the area this morning so why not this one as well. Not sure if it will last considering the job site across the road at the moment but we'll see, hopefully. Thankyou to the geocacher that dropped in a new log sheet for me.
Wasn't leaking today - fairly quiet around today except for a bit of construction on the new building across the road. TFTC
Headed down to Bris for an over night stay from Toowoomba hoping to build a few numbers to complete a goal before an interstate trip. Second day and our second spot to grab a few caches along this trail. Being a little on the short side this was definitely more than a 1.5 and required a bit of upper body strength! But managed to make the grab and sign my name. TFTC monkey maker
After finding the nearby licorice cache this was the next stop.
Shortly after arriving a car pulled up with the engine idling, so i had to sit there under the leaky roof pretending to be busy fiddling with my phone. I hope they arent having their lunch
..no.. must have been on the phone... they soon drove off and i was left to hunt.
Initially i tried something but then thought of looking at things another way and the cache was in hand in seconds.
Cheers for these fun couple of drive bys monkey maker just the thing to cure the hump day blues.

Arriving here with Ms Wig who had found it with the Herbz previously, and I began what I thought was the required task, after a while of that she suggested I think more laterally. so tried a few things, and then I managed to spot it!!
That was sneaky! thanks monkey maker.

Well, that was certainly harder than it should have been. Out with Pigwig2 meant we had 3 pairs of eyes looking. Up , down and along we searched, eventually Mrs. Herbz walked around looking and counting when she spotted something obvious, ahaa, there you are! Mr. Herbz was then able to retrieve it . With a quick run with my tall muggle friend, she was able to spot it before me

Arrgghh... felt so silly when I found it... should have got it quicker. TFTF.
Was wondering whether this one is still active as the last log was DNF.
Have to come back to this twice as a muggle seem to be doing some office work right in front of the cache!
With umbrella on hand, I didn't get wet as rain is starting to fall.

I only had a few spare minutes to find this one. No luck for me today.. I'll be back for another look when I return to have a go at the nearby mystery cache

I came back to get this one with my Geo man and while I was watching him with his long arms feeling around I finally spotted it like an x marks the spot, right where he was, but not where he was looking (if that makes sense - don't want to spoil it). Yes indeed, why couldn't I find it a week ago?! Not that tricky really! TFTC
I looked from the left and I looked from the right. I looked up and I looked across. I climbed up and I walked back. I searched and I felt and I poked and I even removed a few things but I couldn't find anything.
Having read a couple of comments indicating height was needed I thought maybe I wasn't tall enough. I PAF'd for some help and then went and did a clever balancing act and finally spied something.
At around 168cm in my shopping shoes I couldn't see it from anywhere I stood and when I finally found a way to spy it I was just barely able to retrieve it.

Why can't I find it?? I read the recent logs etc but I've clearly not got my geocaching brain on today! I did find something stashed up high though. Maybe a critter ate the cache. Lots of interesting bits in it's scat! Going back when the geokid is feeling better and will be happier to hang around and look
Thank you! Quick GeoCache while we walk the dog. This one's not for shorties like Loz... lucky Bren was here
Up from Canberra and found with Rapidlywild on a two week geomission around the Gold Coast and, of course, for the MEGA
So with 4 days of caching and over 100+ finds under our belts so far, we've had a great time touring around caching and seeing new places Lovely to cache in the warm QLD weather as well!
Apologies for the somewhat generic logs- it's not easy remembering every single hide so far!
Thanks very much to all of the cache owners for their hides

Second day venturing around the Gold Coast region with specimenX and we were out caching once again. We had a very enjoyable day out and about.
Apologies to all the cache owners for generic logs however we enjoyed the day wandering around the Upper Coomera and Surrounds.
Thanks monkey maker for placing this cache for us to make a find on

On our way home, after finding a few caches today and stopping for an ice cream break at the Strawberry Farm, we found Bullseye and then popped here for this one. Happy to say it was a quick and easy smilie at this cache location and we enjoyed the name of the cache and how it applies. Thanks Monkey Maker [^][^]
Out with friends for pie day. Nice quick find here. I now see where the name comes from. Tftc
cache find #2832. Out with a group of geocaching friends on Pi Day. This one was on the list of caches to find on the way home. Found easily. Great cache name. TFTC.
Out with a great bunch of cachers and this was the next find in this area.

Wahoo. Time for some caching after paying my final visit for the week to see my Mum.
Hmmm. Agreed. It is a leaky roof. Plenty of water around the base today to confirm this. To me far too long to find. Looked all over. Even did a couple of chin ups. Puff puff.
Then I spotted it. Not so hard after all.

Well that roof is definitely not watertight! It didn't matter today though as the sun was shining and it was a glorious day to be out. Thanks for the cache.
After making my way around from another cache, I found this little park. And in the park I found a leaky roof. And somewhere within the leaky roof I found a cache. Fancy that!

Yeah it would leak. Not much chop for shade either really.
My car is equipped with items that make caches like this possible for me as a solo cacher. With the suitable tool I had no trouble at all with this one.

Well we are disappointed to be the first DNF on this cache. Neither of us being very tall figured we could just be lucky. But, no luck here today for us. Roughed up our arms feeling here and there, and there and here, but couldn't spot or feel the prize today. Oh well, a cache not far from home that needs finding is not something to be sad about. We'll return with something useful to provide some extra height and see if we can add our signature sometime soon. Thanks though Monkey Maker. We shall return. [^][^]
TFTCSL oh what a laugh! Glad no one was watching!! Good giggle with Berken! Thanks for the hide!!
Luckily we found on a Sunday with no-one around to laugh at us - Definately the most amusing find of the day. TFTC Found with riotbug
Yes i imagine this roof would leak quite a bit. It was a quick find for me... RPW cacher struggled a bit but height is not his strong point.... yet, but he still has lots of growing to be done TFTC.
A pull up here and a pull up there and the cache was in hand... Thanks for placing the 640th cache that we have found so far monkey maker
While retrieving cache, observed that it wouldn't be good to take a backward step.TFTC.
After attending a first aid course nearby, this afternoon I headed around to collect the few caches in this area in the company of T-Tech and Brother Colin. BC had all ready done them, so stayed in the car, but T-Tech came along for the search. A fair bit of searching was done all over the obvious structure, and when I finally spotted the cache, I needed his longer arms to make the grab TFTC, monkey maker
Found at 12:20:00 PM, GAFF1, I was surprised to see three caches in the same street as my Office during my visit to the Gold Coast. I took one of my muggle colleagues (soon to be converted) along for the adventure.
Upon arrival we check around the structure the decided to look a little higher than the T rating and soon located the hide.
SL, cache in good condition.

It had been a busy day getting ready and holding a birthday party for Blake who is now 3 years old. I had tried for a cache before the party but it ended up being a DNF. With the party over I headed to this one with LED torch in hand.
In the dark this one took a bit of time to find but eventually I shone the torch in the right spot.
Why am I out at night looking for caches after an afternoon of chasing toddlers around? Not because my mother-in-law is visiting but because this find fills in another day on my "caching calendar". That is 354 of 366 days filled in.
Thanks for the cache monkey maker. Cheers!! I will be back to grab the other nearby caches in the daylight.
Find number 1953.... so here is something you didn't know (or maybe did know) about 1953...... The coronation of Queen Elizabeth II as monarch of the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Union of South Africa, Pakistan and Ceylon took place on 2 June 1953. Elizabeth ascended the thrones of these countries at age 25, upon the death of her father, King George VI, on 6 February 1952, and was proclaimed queen by her various privy and executive councils shortly afterwards. The coronation was delayed for more than a year because of the tradition that such a festival was inappropriate during the period of mourning that followed the death of the preceding sovereign. In the ceremony itself, Elizabeth swore an oath to uphold the laws of her nations and to govern the Church of England. Celebrations took place and a commemorative medal was issued throughout the Commonwealth realms.
