A quick check on this cache and it looks like it has disappeared. Will try to replace it but might be time to think up something else.
"Blends in well" I feel is an understatement, lol. Spent ages here and what I thought was bound to be it wasn't. So this is going to take another visit.. one can only stand around "waiting for someone" for so long. One of those times I was wishing for another geocacher to pitch up. Will be back...
Bay Park was a place of interest for us while in Tauranga because our Uncle raced his jet boat here. TFTC
Second attempt. Came here yesterday. Two sets of eyes and it eluded us both. Today I cameback with a fresh mind. Still had me stumped. I decided to try something that had come to my attention. Then within a few minutes i had it in hand. Tricky little bugger. Another good hide. I can now sleep easy tonight. tftc
As so often happens, I had about given up and was walking away when I spotted the little blighter. A virgin new log, now sullied by my signature. TFTC.
Cache has been fully restored and is now back in place with a new log. Pity the surroundings are lacking a bit of maintenance though. Should be easy enough to find.
Because of its surroundings, I have dropped the difficulty by 1 star, but its still in exactly to same place as originally placed.
# CACHE HAS BEEN REMOVED FOR MAINTENANCE - CHECK BACK HERE TO SEE WHEN ITS BACK ON-LINE AGAIN. #

Am working on a challenge and targeted this one a while back, but simply couldn't find anything. Decided to give it another crack while staying nearby overnight for work after having driven down from Auckland, and before checking into my hotel and having dinner.
After another prolonged search I decided on a more methodical approach and was delighted to eventually find what I wanted in a spot I'd already looked at . A slight issue with the cache itself, and logged with permission from the CO.

Seeing I was back in town I decided to give this one another go after it defeated me a couple of months ago. Found it.
Cheers for the cache.
Cheers for the cache.
Went for a walk with a couple of friends and decided to try and find these caches as we live in the area but hadn't got round to these ones yet. This one was probably the quickest to find of the four, glad it was as it was very well disguised! Blends in well. Thanks for the cache
Saw these just on our way back to the apartment after a afternoon caching south of the Mount. Decided we could try for one this evening, luckily it was a relatively short search. Hope to gather the rest tomorrow, thanks
Found 3 out of 4 of the ones in Bay Park. Nice quick find here which was surprising but pleasing. Glad to knock this one off. Thanks for all your caches we have found while on our short visit.
Unfortunately this one stumped us. We managed the other 3 in the car park so will definately be back next time we are visiting the area.
Nothing tonight very quite just us here so spent a lot of time looking and touching
Very welcome to you too. Had two goes at this - first time with 2 year old grandson which was not ideal as there was an event on and many cars coming and going. Much h quieter today but still took ages. So obvious once found. Just about winking as I drove off. Doesn't matter how many of these we find it is still challenging finding the spot. Thanks for bringing us here
Driving past today so thought it would be rude not to have a quick look...ummm went around in circles at first as the garmin would not fix..so stood back scratched my bum looked upand bingo great we camo and enjoyable thanks TNXPro for the cache
Soooooo tricky! Took 2 trips and some research to find this one, but managed to quickly find it this evening while out on a walk. Learning so much about different kinds of caches all the time. Tftc
Well.
Evil does not even begin to describe my feelings towards the Baypark Triple. Four trips it took to find these three with Steiney4.

So very evil. Have not found one like this before and would still have been looking if not for the clues on Facebook! Evil is not the word!! TFTC.
This took a bit longer than it should've, to find. We kept getting interrupted by muggles leaving the park. The plan was to find 5 nanos today for a geo license. Instead we hung out at the beach longer than anticipated and this was tge only smiley of the day. Attempted the other nearby nanos but no luck there. Tftc
This was an easy find compared to IIII, high 5, IIII so we quickly moved on. Not many mugglers around here today, so we could search the area. Those small nanos are not always easy but this one was not that bad TFTC! Greetings from Denmark!
Quick park and grab to finish off our walk around Baypark during our visit to Tauranga. Tftc
Farout, these are our least favourite kind of cache, but quickly found, signed and on our way to next cache. TFTC Keltic-Kiwi
#11769. We were out for an afternoon bike ride. We'd kept to backroads most of the way here, but had to get across SH2 next to the nearby roundabout, which was tricky. GZ was a busy place on a weekday afternoon, and I was very pleased when Troodles spotted the wee blighter. TFTC.
After a walk around the Mount this morning, we bought a few supplies from the supermarket and headed home for a coffee and lunch. We decided to have a bike ride in the afternoon, and pick up a few caches. Unfortunately, we had to bike on some busy roads (Mt Maunganui needs more cycle ways!) so the ride back to home base was not a pleasant experience.
When we arrived, there was a guy mooching around a nearby parked vehicle, but by the time we read up about the cache, he had gone so we got stuck in. Luckily there wasn't a huge area to search (just one level!) and after about 5 minutes, I spotted the cache in a place I had already looked. One down, three to go. TFTC.

This was a little easier than " Escape from the Arena". Actually it was ALOT easier.
Cheers ☺
Cheers ☺
We are cruising around over the long weekend, picking up caches as we go.

Found in first placed looked. Quick and easy find for us today. Cars flowing into the park must be something on tonight! Tftc
Found it with Team FIN [janahola, kapeka, laalaa & temyllyl]
We had fun with caching few weeks here in New Zealand. Lots of geocaches and many sort of them too. We saw awesome places, weather was pretty good all the time and people were friendly and polite. Caches were pretty similar like in our home country. Of course there were some exeptions. Nice and really scenary country!

Thanks for the cache.
On a geoholiday road tripping to Christchurch MEGA and around beautiful New Zealand. Our four people group (temyllyl, laalaa, kapeka and myself) from Finland used group tag FIN to log the caches.
Welcome to MEGA Finland in 5-7 august 2016!

Today our trip continued from Tauranga to Hamilton. Of course with some caching on the way. We had lots of fun and saw many nice places and caches. This was quite quick find. Thanks for the cache!

17th day on our geo-roadtrip in New Zealand, and caching our way towards north. Logged using our group nickname FIN with janahola, laalaa and kapeka. After having a blast in South Island and in Christchurch Mega event, we had to start heading back home. Fortunately we still had few days left to spend in NZ while driving to Auckland.
After checking into our backpacker slieschke and I decided to use the night to find some more geocaches in town. We searched and searched but not to long before making the find. TFTC
2nd crack at this one , got it in about 30 seconds .how we missed it on the first attempt ill never know .tftc
7034. Out for a day's geocaching in the Tauranga area with Nodo (David and Noelene) from Waihi. This was our fourth cache find of the day and another sneaky hide. David spotted it and we soon signed the log. Now off to find a some others in the immediate area. Thanks. Rodney and Iris.
11.30am. We are spending the day in Tauranga with "Sallies" from Christchurch. This took us longer to locate than the others in Bay Park but we do consider the 4 star rating as too high. Thank You David and Noeline.
However nodo, you are a pro at this. There are many others that would agree with the 4 star rating.
Very frustrating, just couldn't see it. Searched everywhere but no luck. At some point you just have to move on as annoying as it is!!! May come and try again at some stage.
Brilliant. Thank for finding it for me. I will be out to check on it in the next few days and place it back where it should be (if it isnt already). In the meantime, it can still be found.
I suspect this one has disappeared somehow. Will check on it as soon as I can get out there again.
Out on a numbers mission with HKCB and Iammrwalker to clear out some of the caches in Tauranga/Papamoa area. We left Hamilton at 5am and had a full day of caches, a few DNFs, a refreshing swim in a pond and a whole lot of laughs. We signed logs as 'HI1' as an acronym for our caching names to save log space. Thanks to all the cache owners for the great variety of caches, puzzles and location
We did not see this one was disabled so started hunting. Searched all spots and found something very likely. Couldn't see a cache though. Expanded search but we all kept coming back to the obvious. HKCB looked on the ground and spotted the cache! A very lucky find! We replaced it to where we thought it was meant to be hidden but could do with a check to make sure we have put it back where it belonged.

Out for a numbers mission in and around The Mount and Papamoa with 11HPG11 and iammrwalker today. With a very early start of 5am agreed on, it was going to be a long day compounded by the All Blacks playing before we left which meant a 3am alarm being set the night before. We all had a great time and a lot of laughs were had in between some frustrating hides, a really enjoyable multi and a couple of great field puzzles. All in all a very successful day with only a handful of DNF's, the weather keeping at bay for most of the day and 86 new smiles added to the map in a little under 13 hours of caching. We signed the cache log "Hi 1" an acronym of our caching names. A big thanks to all the cache owners for placing some great caches.
Still being well before any sane person will be out and about on a Sunday morning the muggle factor wasn't something we needed to worry about. We parked pretty much on GZ and began a somewhat systematic search of the area. With no look after about 10min and searching pretty much every single location we could think of we were about to give up. We had even found a very likely spot but couldn't see anything. I then thought maybe someone had knocked it from it's hiding spot and that it could be laying on the floor, I looked down and there it was at my feet! What luck!!!
We signed the log and replaced where we think it should be, but will need to be checked.

This was one of more than fifty Geocaches I found today in the company of HKB and 11hpg11. We signed the logs HI1, an anachronism of our handles to save on log space. We travelled over to the Mount and Papamoa from Hamilton, leaving at the end of the All Black/ South Africa test at about 5am and didn’t roll back into Hamilton until after 8pm. It was a long day, and the weather wasn’t the best but that didn’t stop us from having a great time exploring the area and enjoying the wide variety of high quality hides.
We were a little apprehensive about this one having seen the difficulty and having read some of the logs but at least we didn't have to worry about muggles seeing the sun had only just begun to rise. That said I found a likely spot after a few minutes of searching but couldn't see a container anywhere. More sweeps of the area didn't unearth anything so we concentrated our search back at the most likely spot and HKCB happened to notice the little blighter on the ground. I'm not sure if I dislodged it during the initial search of the area but we returned it to where we thought it belonged.

Gave it 2 good searches on the same day, don't think we had our caching eyes on today, bumped into kman who gave us good clues to still no luck! We will be back!
Checked on this today. The tornado made a mess of the stadium but left my cache alone.
I wish I could say I found this with no help, but after two unsuccessful visits, I text a friend for a hint.
Arriving at GZ I soon realized the Home Show was on........oh well, had to get this one.
Waited for a lull in the traffic......10 minutes later, finally had a chance to get up close and found it easily this time.
Once finding it, you have to wonder how you missed it earlier visits.
Thanks TNXpro for a challenge here. Glad to get this.

After finding the Hording last night I pulled in to this one for my 2nd look and hoping to find it for so I would have a easy pull in and sign after work but no such luck. After having a little look on TNX's facebook page today I saw some hints for this cache so decided to give it a 3rd crack tonight after work. Still after the clues I found I had a bit of a struggle prob looked in every place imaginable. Untill I finally felt something out of place and bingo we have a very well camoed and hidden cache! Thanks for another cool cache TNX and this also ticks one off the D/T matrix and now #82 day streak
Second time here, still no luck. Not as busy today as last time I came. Only had to pretend I was on the phone a few times.
Checked a bunch of places but still no joy.
I will return.

Stopped on our way home from event all quiet this afternoon at GZ and soon had cache in hand and signed log returned and the on to the last one at bay park should be easy I think with the kids to help.
Man had 5 pairs of eyes on this one today and still couldn't find it... We'll get this Im sure but gosh what a mission!
We arrived at what appeared to be a busy time with muggles coming and going in all directions. We parked handy to GZ which allowed us to study the many possible places where a cache could be hidden and between passing traffic we had a closer inspection. After what seemed a lengthy search and no sign of a cache, we decided to venture beyond the gates to attempt another cache. When our work was completed there we returned to this one to continue our search and luckily this time it was a quick find even though it was now dark. Just as we were about to leave all the stadium and street lights went out.
Thanks for a challenging placement TFTC.

After cleaning up Matamata we carried on to Tauranga to do a bit of caravan shopping. Once that was done and we'd had a Subway at Bayfair time to do a few more caches around the Mt. This one was the closest and we were having a bit of trouble, then Mrs S noticed ccrichie had DNF'd it so we thought for sure it must be gone, but then read why he DNF'd and kept on searching. Lots of traffic around here so some furtive hunting was called for and eventually Mrs S spotted it hiding.
Thanks TNXPro, well hidden. Sharp eyes were definitely needed. Another smilie face on our Tauranga map.

Timing is everything......after walking from the Hoarding, I had literally arrived at the gates when a colleague drove up and asked what I was doing......he then proceeded to park up in the middle of the road and wait for me to give me a lift back to the TSB arena....best abandon the search and come back another time....didn't even get to look!!
Gotcha, you little teasing tyke!!!
Spotted it as we drove up ---- this will be one of life's little mysteries why it took us 4 visits!
Thank you at the end of our marathon

Had aretty good look around. Quiet today. She was about to give up but then he spotted it! Thanks for tje cache.
Our second visit for this and with a little hint I found it just about straight away.again many muggles but had a lull in the traffic
Yes we found it , cache all good but alot of muggles in & out on this long weekend .TFTC
Wow this was a tricky one. Such a public place. We spent a long time exactly where the gps was pointing, but nothing.
Getting close to giving up but then started looking at a place. Looked all around. Then said "this would be a great spot for a nano". At that exact moment one of the juniors put their hand on it.
Great spot +1 favourite from us tnxpro

After the previous cache I thought I had this one sussed... After a failed attempt at 'popping the cap' I reached into my pocket for the screw driver on my trusty swiss army knife and only while clenching the device in hand did I realise, no... this is too far. This is not what 'we' (the royal 'we' ) do. So I continued to look. No luck this time, but I shall return.
PLEASE NOTE, THIS IS DIFFERENT TO 'THE HOARDING', SO PLEASE DO NOT ATTEMPT TO ACCESS THE CACHE USING TOOLS. ***NO TOOLS ARE REQUIRED*** I HAVE ADDED THIS INFO TO THE PAGE ABOVE.
MMMmmmmm --- we had the area all to ourselves and a dead cat and big trucks rumbling past to a Kenworth exhibition --- so we could wander at our leisure --- and wander and wander we did --- till the cold rain came!! Not even a flicker of an idea welcoming us --- so we will return on our next visit to Tauranga in a couple of weeks.
Then hopefully we will be able to say TFTC with a smile ... till then ....

Yahoo!! Came back today for a second look after getting another hint from the CO. What a great hide, very impressive. Had another coffee at the Arena cafe to celebrate. TFTC
Yay!!This time we were luckyAfter failing on this cache last time, today we were hopefully going to find it. After searching and searching we couldn't find it. The only other thing we could do was text the CO for another hint. Thanks TNXPro it helped a lot.
Very well camouflaged, and great hide.
Thanks for the placement.

Good things come in three's, isn't that how the saying goes?
Well in this case I managed to knock off the third of these new caches on my third visit.
It also involves three text messages!
Thanks for the fun and frustration!
Oh, also for the three's or maybe I mean the freeze!
By the way I wasn't trying to look stern in the picture....

PERFECT TIMING! Baypark was welcoming every man and his dog to the convention center as I arrived at GZ. There was virtually non-stop traffic in and out of the area this afternoon. Wish I'd tried this yesterday when I was in the vicinity. There was a lot of simulated phone calls happening on my cell phone as I began to search the area for the likely hiding place. No need to resort to the shoe-tying malarkey thanks to the hint. Most people didn't even glance sideways as I mooched around with a keen eye. It was soon spotted thankfully, and I didn't have to brave the cold as long as yesterday. It does blend in well and you need eyes in the back of your head to avoid being sprung by muggles, but that's the challenge isn't it? Signed the log in the truck and then waited for an opportunity to return the cache in exactly the same spot as found. I even re-checked my positioning before leaving.... obviously the CO had put the wind up me with implied consequences if I failed to to do so TFTC
Had to go to Matamata to pick up some parts then onto Tauranga to measure a couple of jobs. Rang the Squirrel to see if he wanted to come for a ride, there were a few new caches in Tauranga so why not. Picked him up and on our way.
7.25pm - This was a busy entrance here tonight and with a bit of a search we had it in hand. SLTFTC

On the road again... I had my phone on silent all day and was surprised to see Gap (of Fap and Gap) on my doorstep... To the Gapmobile... Gap had jobs in Matamata and Tauranga. But after that, we were going to do a mini cache raid...
Our combined iPhones pointed to the same object at ground zone... It was so not likely to be there. A steady stream of cars kept arriving, making this a dodgy place to be at night. We widened our search and found the cache within the ball park (pun not intended). TFTC.

Following a nearby meeting managed to pull up here just as a local cacher was extracting the cache, now thats what I call timing (thats twice in two days that that has happened).
we soon had the cache signed and returned to its rightful spot, and so off to look at the others nearby.
Thanks for a cleaver little placement

We looked for this twice this morning and it took us ages, the phone and GPS had us running round in circles and we had to take care not to get run over by the many delivery trucks and cars that were coming and going. We were very aware of looking a bit out of place spending so much time here that we eventually asked the CO for an extra clue and this helped heaps the problem is now we wonder how we missed it in the first place, we should have pretended that we were blind as when we touched it it moved and we had it in hand quickly. Nice to see you again Cats&Dragons Thanks TNZPro for the hide and the extra hint.
Interesting to read about the History of Baypark, cache definitely blends in well, nicely hidden, many thanks for the placement.
Back for this one after work - not so cold and a lot quieter. So much easier looking for cache when less muggles around - especially this one. It does blend in well. This is a great venue now and is certainly getting good use - I love the speddway racing TFTC
Yeah FTF.Loaded this one yesterday so didn't have the hint. There was some expo on so the traffic was busy so out with a clipboard I had in the car hoping I looked like some sort of official.Took a wee while but finally spotted it.Thanks TNXPro.

After a successful find at the hoardings we thought we were onto the cache hide at this one..... nope, that one is real..... quick read of the hint and cache type/size and we soon narrowed down the possibilities, found after a few minutes looking, AND A PODIUM FINISH TO BOOT!!!
(P.S SplattyNZ isnt that a DNF rather than a note????? ) (just saying... [:p] )
