Over visiting from NZ and using the time to do as much caching as other commitments allow. After doing the Glider Forest Trails a couple of days ago, decided to try and smilie out my map in the area by doing these ones in the adjoining forest. Ended up doing a 13.5 km walk over five hours and finding 29 out of 29. Very pleased that all the caches were in place and able to be found, even the ones that had some recent DNFs.A nice quick find here in the hint location. Some interesting insect grafitti spotted on a few trees including the one here. Thx to the COs for placing all these caches.
Out for a half day with nikid1 so we have to make the most of our limited time to find caches for the cosmic quest. We ended up walking over 15km & finishing in the dark with the night cache. What a lovely idea to make a trial in honour of geocaching friends. The hint helped make short work of this one.TFTC The Hunting Rabbit
GC5790G The Hunting Rabbit's Trail of Friends SeriesIts a Thursday and i finished work at lunchtime so that gave KerriMG and I a chance to go caching. KerriMG had spied this area for us to target today. 30,000 steps later we finally made it back to the car.TFTC The Hunting Rabbit
Scratched around for ages but the hint finally loaded and then it was a quick find. TFTC
Today I finished off the last section of Parkinson Bushland, the NE corner. 13/15 caches found and 8km walked. With the changes to the Logan Motorway on-ramp I dont think there is a way in from the NE anymore, so I parked down on Johnson Rd and walked up the trail beside the industrial estate then all the way across to the far eastern side of the bushland and up to this cache. I looked around for a bit with no luck but once I saw the hint it was easy to find the well hidden cache. The cache and log are quite dry at the moment but then so is most of the bushland. Thanks The Hunting Rabbit for this cache and for taking me on a great tour around the bushland today!
Today was the Geo4 cachers, RoddyC Hatzofff, grannysmith1947 and me. We were desperately trying to have a Smilie corner here. This cache was a quick find .Log signed before replacing all as found. TFTC

Several years ago I put all of the caches in the reserve in a list intending to one day come here. Today was the day I finally started making a dint on the collection. I completed a loop on the eastern side of the forest - 4 hours, 13,000 steps, 13 finds & 2 DNF’s.
I found the container out in the open so after signing the log I have hidden it in a likely spot. TFTC

The traffic is noisy here. A short walk of the track ,soon I had a smile.. off to get some more smiles in the area..

I was wanting to find at least 28 caches in a day for a challenge and decided this was a good area to achieve it. It was a perfect day for a long walk with hardly anyone else about.

This container was upside down, therefore allowing moisture in… I’ve emptied the water, dried the inside and the swag, and added some silica to the log to help with the damp… tftc…

That parking co-ordinate is well out of date on this cache. The changes to the onramps have removed any chance of parking nearby. An easy find once you do get into the bushland though.
A phone call to Willis007 and a plan was hatched for an early morning start on a bike riding tour of this series. Picked up willis007 and we were off, we reached our destination and then noticed there was a first to find nearby. Nah, someone will be on it, let’s get it later, if it is still there.
We set off on our ride and it was all excitement plus, knocking over the first few caches in good time. Then the excitement happened, as I was flying down the hills to the next cache a washout appeared with a big boulder with a flat front. I thought to myself “Oh shit this is not going to end well”. Sure enough even with the brakes on full I still hit the rock and was thrown over the handle bars, then the bike came over me. Got up and brushed myself off, only to find a lot of bark off on my right leg and right arm and a very sore shoulder.
Willis007 then turned up and was prepared to call it a day. Nah it's just a flesh wound let’s keep going. 4 hours later we found ourselves at the browns plains ambos getting cleaned up, lol, caching completed for the day.
We found 30 plus caches and 2 DNF’s today, the dnf’s were very tricky and in the heat we were over it.
Thanks for placing this series here, we will be back on a cooler day, sorry for the generic post but i got a heap to log.

After speaking with CHAMAD during the week, he realised he was approaching a significant milestone and wanted to get there by years' end. Having been to this part of Brisbane earlier in the year, I recommended a caching morning here to make some great finds and to assist in building those numbers. Bikes organised, a nice early start, we pedalled around the cool morning in the forest to see CHAMAD's bike throw him off ... wow, that's quite a bit of bark off, but in true caching style, he wasn't to be deterred!! The show will go on.
Picking up from where I left off in January, this was my fifth cache for the morning. Cache was quickly found, log signed, and all replaced as found.
Thanks The Hunting Rabbit for putting the series together.

Celebrating a trail of friends by going caching with (socially distanced) friends. Four cyclists; ruzzelz, beardman75, bulldozer72 and me, enjoyed our morning riding from cache to cache through this nice quiet bushland today, though from here, the traffic sounds made the bush the least quiet of the spots we'd been to yet. TFTC, The Hunting Rabbit. =^.^=
Submitted via Garmin Live Geocaching - I had put the call out to gather a few cachers for the On Ya Bike @ Paradise day. With an 8:00 am start the plan was to clear this little piece of bushland of caches.
Our small group consisting of La Kedi, Bulldozer, Beardman and myself set out for a fun filled day on the bikes. Along the way we ran into tvsmiley x 3 walking around the bush land.
Thanks, I love a good bike cache

Wandering around the top right corner of this bush land this afternoon looking for caches yet to be found. This was the 5th find.
Made the quick bush bash to GZ with the power lines buzzing overhead and the traffic rumbling over the hill. A quick find once there. Signed the best I could on the damp log.

A nice hint lead to a quick walk out here today. We are enjoying being on our own in these rather”isolating “ times. What better than a peaceful walk and to go and find a geocache. Log signed, all good here.
Thanks The Hunting Rabbit,

We practiced our best social distancing today with a lovely 5km stroll through this bushland. We came across no one and enjoyed the bush for what may be the last time in a little while.
lets hope this is all over soon.

I have been saving this cluster of caches since I moved to BNE last year, as I do need 259 finds in November for a personal goal.
This generous cache was a quick find for me.
Thank you for hiding here

On our travels from Brisbane down to Mount Buffalo we searched and found som Geocaches. Thanks to all owners for the Caches.
Had big plans to get quite a few caches under El_Sueno’s belt as he charged toward his 100th find, unfortunately a huge storm blew in and we barely got to the car before the first wave of downpour hit us. This is a great series, we’ll come back with bikes to speed our between caches time.
Out for the day working on finding some Hidden Creatures and this trail was a perfect place with lots of caches.
I enjoyed a lovely walk and all of the caches are in good condition.
Apologies to the COs for the generic logs, I'm a bit short on time.

Found @1:55:00 PM.
With the hidden creature souvenirs month beginning we began searching for possible locations to have a "big" day of caching.
With Lismore area cleaned out Walden clan and I decided to pack the bikes and head North. We left Lismore around 5am and returned around 8:30pm with around 70 finds.
Really enjoy caching this way. A few mishaps along the way.
1. A puncture
2. Lost mobile phone (luckily found again)
3. A run in with the police while trying to access an area that had a road closed sign.
4. A sore bum
37km of cycling.
Had a great day. Thanks to efforts of the hiders.
Sorry for all the copy and past logs.
Cheers

Parked the bike among machinery and stuff, luckily in the drizzly rain on a friday afternoon,no one was around.TFTC.
To complete our 4th DT loop, a trip south was in order, so a morning of caching around the Browns Plains area was included. A bike ride through this bushland had the twin goals of clearing out the final remaining smilies and grabbing some exercise.
The nearby highway upgrade made some caches difficult to grab, while a couple had to be ignored due to muggle workmen too close by.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache **The Hunting Rabbit**.

I needed some find to reach a milestone so I hit the trails first thing this morning. I covered the eastern end walking 10km in 3hrs this morning. Then I had to disappear for a few hours for a family commitment. When I came back I got stuck into the Glider series and managed to get most of those while walking almost 7km in 2.5hrs. I wasn't able to grab every cache but I will be back again soon. Thanks to the COs for placing these caches with good coordinates and containers in mostly good condition. It was a fun day out.
I had to duck through the construction camp to get to this one which is in a very small pocket of bushland between camp and motorway.

Glad I was with geobuddies as I may not have found easy access if I was on my own as I tend to find the most difficult way.
There may be issues to access when construction is done?

Needed some caching fix today so we planned to get some from the Parkinson area.
Quick easy find. No trackables in the cache.
We actually wanted to start from this cache because it had a parking coordinates. It looked easy from Google map but not quite easy with all the road widening happening at the moment. We think this cache might not be accessible once the construction is finished.

I found this cache on a long day in the bush. In order to visit all caches in the area I solved the Travelling Salesman problem. However, it turned out that the most efficient way had some problems in reality, so that the actual walking distance was longer.
Thanks!
Thanks!
I was in the area to do cache maintenance on my own cache and checked on a few others that are near the current road works
This one has definitely been turned into mulch.
I have placed a new cache in a spot which should be far enough away from the road works to keep it safe.
I have posted the coordinates for the new cache location.
I have contacted the CO.

out and about for some local caches this one is definitely gone lost to the development GZ was right in the middle of a high pile of chopped down trees. CO it is time to replace this cache with a new home close by plenty of good options a short distance away from the construction preparations. Note: Travel companion OZPAK is uploading a photo (taken on smartphone) of the final demise/resting place for the subject cache.
I am sure this cache has gone. There has been extensive tree removal by heavy machines through here and the coords took me into the excavations.
After about 10 mins of wandering around finally found it. Our compasses not playing nice amongst the tree cover or not set up right, not sure which. Was where we expected it to be just suffering cache blindness for awhile. TFTC.
We finished the 2915 series much quicker than expected so we popped over hear to see how many we could do.. We found 5 before the Geokids started to drag their feet so we left it at that! All caches we found were spotted easily and in good condition after the recent weather. Thanks for placing
We wandered around the trail in an anticlockwise way and soon we were at this one.

Much like a couple of previous finders, this cache eluded Ghostgums and I for a few minutes, even though it was semi uncovered and quite easily spotted... We wandered around and around, checking all the wrong places, before I turned around and eyed off the container sitting in its lair... Oh, you're over here...
I let out the "got it" call to GG and we convened to sort out the business end of things. With that done, we shot through, wondering how long those water pipes had been sitting near GZ... [?]
Cheers Hunting Rabbit.

In the area this afternoon as we had to drop some relatives to the nearby cinema so thought why not fill in the couple of hours finding some caches. Parked at the suggested spot & set off. Was not too hot so it made for a pleasant walk. Cache was located quickly, we signed the log & replaced. Added some extra trinkets for future finders. TFTC
Now this was a very interesting geocache to find. As I approached GZ there was a car about 25mtrs ahead on the other side of the fence. I thought nothing of it and that I might be able to go into the bush for a quick find. I jumped into the bush and started ferreting around and nothing. I looked here, than there, up here and nothing. Then, after one more check of around GZ, I found that cache after I had looked here a million times, I must have a case of cache blindness!
Then, as I was about to leave, it became apparent to me that we are not the only people that like to play games in this part of the woods... I went the long way around to get back on the track as to not disturb the other game being played [:p]
This geocache was part of my unplanned mega BNE geocaching day.
When I awoke this morning, for some unknown reason, more than any other day, I had a massive hunger for smashing down some caches!
It was very early when I rolled over in bed and thought, “yep, I feel like a solo day out hunting…”. Knowing that the Muggle Partner had something on today, I knew that I could get in a full day of hunting if I got an early start.
The next decision was to decide where to go… Most geocaches around me would require a fair bit of driving just to grab one or two. So having the time, I thought I might as well head down to BNE, a place that I have not cached to often!
I don’t know why, but for some reason I remembered that the Glider Forest had quite a few geocaches in it and around it, so I decided that that was going to be my hunting ground for the day.
Thanks for this geocache team Cantcacheus2014.
