Mist finding this little bugger back in 2019. Can finally say gotcha. Really glade to get this one dune and dusted
WA Big Trip Winter 2024. Day 155 - Logan Day 8. GCLOGAN event day 7. There was no early morning start today, so we decided to do a trip to Rochedale to checkout the jigsaw caches we solved there before arriving in town. There was time for a morning tea before we lined up for the afternoon scooter run along Slacks Creek. A bit of a longer start to this one, but the trail itself went well, even though I only just made it back to the car. After the Scooter ride there was only time for a short detour before getting ready fro Dinner in Beenleigh. A huge crowd in the club and plenty of good information about future events. Another big day tomorrow. This cache was the closest to where we were staying, but proved to be quite difficult. We attended about three times before it was finally located. We did get a little guidance at last nights event, but it is so different onsite. I am glad that one is done and dusted. Thanks for the cache teamdfl49427.1 TNLNVisited: World Traveling Gold GC A#6 & 2011 Lucky You A#199**Albida**
GCLOGAN TripWe had a couple of goes at finding this cache. We chatted with friends and worked out we were on the right track but just had to find the right spot. Great work by albida33 who finally made the find. I am travelling with GrimRaider to GCLogan and then to western NSW on our first trip with the van. Thanks for hiding this cache teamdfl
Back over from NZ to attend the GCLogan events over the coming week. This one sounded intriguing, so with a bit of time to spare today, headed to GZ to search. The first thing I saw was a quite long cache guardian, but he didn't stick around to show me the cache. Luckily, the search was in the shade with a nice breeze blowing through, as it did take more than 45 minutes to get my counting and direction sorted. Thankfully, I wasn't on a time schedule to be anywhere important, as I wasn't leaving till I found it...!! TFTC
Unfortunately too hard for me this time. Will have to try again another day, hopefully without falling down the hill next time haha.
Out with geo-friends today and I have had a few goes at this one before but today I was super positive so with my bung leg I climbed up checking as I went. I must admit I was scared as I didn't know how I would come down again and then to stand up at the bottom. As I went up checking methodically along the way, I uttered the words " I think this is it here". Sure enough it was the end of our search, log signed by all before replacing where found then slowly but surely to the bottom. I did stand up without falling to my surprise. I'll have to give it a favourite point because of a great hide and taking me out of my comfort zone. TFTC
3.39pmA catchup with geofriends today after missing the earlier event. Refuelled with a lovely lunch, we are grabbing a few caches that we have tried but failed to find. This one I have visited numerous times and it has eluded me, but today we were triumphant!! Imbunda did the counting and came up with the cache!! Thank goodness!! Fav point for the evilness...Tftc teamdfl
Started the morning with an Event followed by a collection of FTFs on the nearby bike trail. It has been a long time since our group cached together. Caching now after lunch with RoddyC and imbunda. These caches were on our target list for a long time and had been there a couple of times, so it was good today to have them signed and a smile added. Well done imbunda.TFTTraditional Teamdfl.
Wow! This one was quite a challenge! This wasn't my most productive caching day but it was nice to finish on a high note...thanks to a nudge from the CO. 3 for 5 is my final for today.
Out for the day with nikid1. This was our last of the day & we only had a short time to search. We hadn't read any of the logs before arriving so didn't know what we were letting ourself in for! Wow, there's a lot of hiding places here. Came up empty handed after our allotted searching time so will have to return another day.

Wow this is like a mini rocket. Out here with KerriMG. We only had a limited small amount of time to search for this one.
We failed.
But we will return.

This weekend, [@jesswrigley](http://coord.info/PRNW59T), baby Cottontail and I tripped south to the Gold Coast to spend time with family. We spent the high-temperature weekend at Home of the Arts (HOTA), David Fleay Wildlife Park, and Palm Beach.
Today, we visited Palm Beach to have a play at the Pirate Playground, but then had a short walk around before returning back to Robina for lunch. A rather busy area, as to be expected given the hot weather.
This geocache was starting to become my nemesis cache, given my many DNF visits! It was Beardman75 who introduced me to this cache, and it was during a return from a hiking excursion that he explained this one. My first visit was then with a past finder and Beardman75, and despite that knowledge, some misinterpretation sowed in, and hence it was the start of my DNF series. I thought I had learned my lesson from my previous visit, and did manage to convince [@jesswrigley](http://coord.info/PRNW59T) who was with me that this would be "a quick find" (famous last words). However, every visit did not resort to a quick find. I reasoned that we must have fundamentally mistaking an assumption for the clue provided by the CO, so I even took a few photographs and marked up the image.
It was the string of recent finds that allowed me to enquire what the missing info was. A row was interpreted as that? Oh right, then yes, that would change my search area! So during our drive back from the Gold Coast this afternoon, with baby Cottontail still asleep in the back, we parked, and yes, this time, it was indeed a quick find! The cache container and logbook were in good shape - just some manipulating of the container out of its hidey hole. I did have to laugh at comments made from recent finders who proclaimed that this wasn't a difficult hide at all - perhaps they should have had the same information as we did in order to attempt this cache? A 3.0 difficulty cache is probably reasonable with a clue, but it did feel like it should be in the 4.0-5.0 territory. Or maybe we just made it way more difficult than we needed to be. Thanks teamdfl for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance. A massive relief to have finally scored a smiley on this cache!
Note that this geocache was logged with the *Team Warren* Davidwazza/jesswrigley stamp.

This cache is having something of end of year renaissance… the CO might have to install some crowd control barriers…
I’ve heard whispers about this cache… and I will admit it was the recent finds that made me finally stop…
Mmmmm… where to start, where to stop… so many options…
Thanks teamdfl… XxX… no MTBs were used in the finding of this cache…

Spent about 30 minutes with 2 friends looking for this cache, but we don’t have any tools etc. not sure if we need to be digging around or solving riddles to find this one. We’re fairly new to geocache. A hint would go a long way but we understand many have come before us multiple times and not found it!
Spent an extra 10 minutes and did some extra counting and we found it. Good hide!
Out and about today due to the first to find availability in the area, lol. After much solving and issues with that cache, I decided to grab a couple others as I was in the area and to keep my streak going along.
This one I had been past so many times and just never stopped. Today was the day to correct that one. Now I heard a little talk about this cache at a recent event. It was not until I got here and looked around that I thought. Hmmm maybe I should have paid a little more attention to that conversation.
Anyways I wondered up, counted what I needed to and there it was, quick easy find, what is all the DNF’s about. The most difficult part was retrieving the cache from its hide, some debris in the area helped with that.
Thanks for the cache and the hide, I signed the log and replaced as found and continued on my way. A nice hide and a favourite point from me.

Chinese whispers. The hint I gleaned today from the CO was substantively similar to the hint I got from a previous finder a while ago. But the devil is in the details. I decided to search again while the hint was fresh and found it in seconds. Thanks for the fun teamdfl
This weekend, [@jesswrigley](http://coord.info/PRNW59T) and I travelled south to Byron Bay for a long weekend getaway.
On Saturday, we visited the Bangalow markets, Newrybar, and then walked at Killen Falls. It was then a drive along the coast via Lennox Head, Whites Beach and then checking in at Suffolk Park.
On Sunday, we started the day with a hike in Goonengerry National Park before having a late breakfast in Byron Bay. We perused the town's shops, enjoyed Suffolk Park's beach, and then returned back to Byron Bay for dinner.
Finally on Monday, we visited The Farm in Byron Bay, and then later saw the lighthouse at Cape Byron.
Today, we started out the day with a visit to The Farm, where we had breakfast nearby to the animals. Baby Warren got to experience feeding chickens and sheep, and we then had a self-guided walk around the premises. We then took a drive into Byron Bay to have lunch, and then made our way to Cape Byron where we parked at the lighthouse. We only took a short walk around the headland, visiting and snapping a photo of Australia's most easterly location. We then commenced our drive home, making a stop in Brunswick Heads before continuing our drive north.
Sigh, after exchanging messages with the CO and gaining further clarification, I thought I had worked out my problem for my two previous DNFs, so I managed to sweet-talk [@jesswrigley](http://coord.info/PRNW59T) in making another stop here whilst we were on our way home. Yet again I searched, and concentrated on another area, but after expanding my search and dipping my fingers in various holes, no cache was forthcoming. That's strike #3 for this geocache, and I think this 3.0 difficulty cache is starting to top my list to become my all-time nemesis. Why did Beardman75 ever introduce me to this geocache?! Clearly I'm doing something wrong... It's normally not good practice to end a geocaching day on a low / DNF, but it turns out that we did today. Thanks anyway teamdfl for the cache placement.

This was my third visit and I thought a methodical approach might help. But I still walked away empty handed
Today, [@jesswrigley](http://coord.info/PRNW59T) and I took a drive south to the Gold Coast to catch up with family. Our initial destination was Carrara Markets, taking an opportunity to find a few local geocaches before and after our shopping expedition. It was then a catch-up with family for lunch, before making the long drive back to Brisbane.
After our initial unsuccessful search for this cache on 4/08/2022, I had a chat with the CO at an event, and she seemed to have no issue checking on this cache and confirming that it was still there. A confirmation of a clue to where the cache should be, and suddenly I had a new determination of energy to find this cache. She made it sound so easy, so upon driving back towards home, I convinced [@jesswrigley](http://coord.info/PRNW59T) that we'd make a quick stop here.
There seemed to be quite a few chalk marks of crosses around the place, and it didn't click that another Geocacher may have attempted this cache earlier today, obviously trying to perform a detailed and methodical grid search. I tried searching for this cache once again, using my fingers and no other TOTTs to feeling around, and I guess I should not have been surprised at not making a find despite checking those same places once again. I used a few techniques and interpretations for searching around, but after 10 minutes, I felt like I was out of answers, and perhaps my time away from the car expiring. I think I may have officially waved the white flag with this one unless I see a find. Perhaps this location is overdue from holding a geocaching event - safety in numbers? Thanks anyway teamdfl for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

This afternoon/evening, I joined Beardman75 and karicka in making the drive south to attend the *Logan Goecaching Catchup* event. We had a few strategic stops between the three of us, but largely we were happy in having a few finds and grabbing dinner at the venue (and I was happy with not needing to drive through congestion!). An enjoyable evening of conversation and banter.
Whilst driving past this cache on an earlier day, Beardman75 advised how much of a tricky cache this one was, and whether I had looked at this before. I hadn't, but it certainly sounded like a group assault one. So much to my delight, and to Beardman75's too, we had a previous finder who joined us today. With someone who could recall exactly where the cache was, we thought it would be a quick find, however, alas, it wasn't. We checked around the area that karicka could remember, and then expanded outwards from there. We used tools and sticks and our fingers to interrogate places where we couldn't see, but alas, no cache was found. There seemed to be an indicator sign left that felt like should have hinted at the cache hiding spot, but nothing was found around there, so I can't help but think this tricky DNF string cache really may be missing... but cue the next log indicating a CO visit and prompt confirmation that the cache is still in place. Otherwise, it was odd not to have made the find today. Thanks anyway teamdfl for the cache placement.

No luck today. Thanks for your caches on bike tracks as qe are cycle touring thru area. Rain predicted so gotta cycle on.
One of my most satisfying finds in a while.
Have been driving by almost daily all year, sometimes shaking my fist at this elusive cache.
Have made two serious attempts before. One of them even with a pointer from CO.
The frustration of the DNFs!
Left early today to have 45 minutes to spend crawling on my hands and knees here.
Atleast I was going to be sheltered from the rain.
Poking with my purpose made tool methodically checking the area it took me 20 plus minutes to before I encountered something suspicious. Almost did a happy dance as it was the cache.
First find for over 3 years!
Celebrated with a coffee before work, had not used all the time I planned.
Have a reluctant favourite point, for the frustration.
Thank you for hiding this geocache teamdfl

Seems like there hasn't been any action with this cache and no luck for us today either
May have freaked out a few drivers as I checked up near the top of the bridge since I thought it might have been higher then I was looking since it is supposed to magnetic and my phone was telling me it was not on the side of the footpathed crossing. Still did not find it.
Was a little weary about this one since it had been a while since someone had logged it. They also had DNF'd it and that was almost a year ago. Also was a little spooked as someone from the church next door decided to have sticky beak from their carpark while I had been their for 5-10 mins. Will see if I can do this during the week if I remember.
I can not believe I found this! Just like a needle in a haystack so very happy. Night time may be recommended! I ace
Ok third time lucky for this one
After my recent DNF I contacted the Cache Owner and was given an extra hint to narrow down my search zone, but on my second visit I again failed to find this one!
So I had another cry on the CO's shoulder and was given another prod in the right direction. Back again this morning it still look me about ten minutes to flush this ones hiding spot out. It seemed my counting method might have been the culprit in my earlier failures [?] Well, that and my chronic micro cache blindness
So glad to turn this DNF into a smiley The log sheet was extracted and dutifully signed and dated. Cache returned to hiding spot where I found it, and all in readiness for next geocacher to tear their hair out over
Thanks for the cache teamdfl and have a favourite point for the clever hide and the help given

I was on my way home from a night shift out this way, and decided to drop by here this morning and try for this cache. Unfortunately my search was unsuccessful
My GPSr would not settle here for some reason [?] So I was trying all of the likely spots all over a big area. I guess I'll have to message the cache owner and hopefully narrow down the search area for next time I visit
So, plan B was to go grab a different cache up the road and then head off home for some rest.

A bit late logging, so my apologies are given. It's not usual for me to log so late.
Something made us expect this cache to be sort of somewhere else, plus our GPS's were all saying somewhere different, and then when we went there they told us somewhere else. Gee whizz! Finally someone thought their's had settled and closer inspection showed the well hidden cache. Thanks teamdfl for this series. We've picked up a few here and there but always on foot. Cheers and happy caching!

The reception here today was quite poor with trying to narrow GZ down, all phones were going around in circles but once one settled a neat hide was found. Loved the camo and hideout, worthy of a favorite point from me. Thanks teamdfl and TFTC
Nice hide, had us going for a little while as our GPS would not settle, then we determined the spot and a find was made. TFTC

Heading home after a few days away & we thought 'Why not grab a few caches on the way?'
As we approached GZ for this cache I thought to myself 'Do I really have to walk that far?'
The short answer ...
NO, I didn't have to.
LOL ...
Made our mark & replaced as found.
No give-aways here but it was a quick find & we were on our way.

Out caching for a few hours with some geobuddies. This one was on their list, so we headed here. We wandered to GZ and as my phone didnt like it here, I was initially searching in the wrong spot. Then I changed tack. I searched and searched, without luck. Eventually, I made a PAF. My PAF was able to confirm that I was on the right track, but that was all. Perseverance pays off and eventually, the cache was located. We added our names to the log, rehid the cache and continued on our way. TFTC
Out on a caching day with Mrs Wombles, RhoBoCacher and Selva Girls we had this cache on our list for a particular attribute it possesses. Well we climbed, squatted, lay, squinted, poked, prodded, PAF'ed and were about to call it a DNF when what do you know? What's that? Got it! Tftc and the attribute teamdfl, very sneaky indeed!
Out with Stortigirls, Wombles and co. and Selva girls. This one had the 4 of us in some compromising positions and we were looking everywhere. Just when we were about to give up and while Selva girls was on a paf, Amanda yells out got it ahhhhh yes wow this one took some time. We were very happy when we finally found it. TFTC
Out caching with Rhobocacher, Stortigirls and Selvagirls.
We spent a while looking for this one. Up, down, across. Let's try a systematic approach, nope that didn't work.
What if we try looking from here, what if we all look in different places?
Eventually when we were just about to give up Stortigirls spotted it!

Out with geopartner grabbing some caches today.
This was a nice tricky one for us and after a little while found the hide but past over it.
Came back a while later and soon had the cache in hand.

Nice easy find for us today. Hard to be discreet here but so much traffic I'm sure no one cared.

On my way to work this morning I seen a recently dead kangaroo not too far from gz. Traffic was horrific on the m1 so I didn't have enough time to stop and see if she had a joey.
So naturally on my way home this afternoon the first thing that springs to mind was to check the roo (knowing babies can survive for days in the pouch of a deceased mum)
Thankfully the body had been removed, let's hope they checked the pouch.
So with a clear mind I thought it was no better time to check this one out.
No luck for me I'm afraid.
I can't say I looked too hard though, at this time of day the m1 is packed so I felt very self conscious of all the passing cars.
I'll be back another time.

I had a meeting with the new house builders nearby. After that, we drove over to the GZ. Found a good place to park and walked along the mown grassy area to the GZ. A quick survey at the GZ and another check of the cache description, I honed into a section. I spotted a tell tale sign of something not quite in keeping but still added in keeping with its surrounds. Fortunately I had small enough fingers and use of a small piece of twig and was able to retrieve this little container. Very pleased it took very little time to spot this one. TFTC teamdfl
As we were walking back from our last cache we were discussing what was next and Captain Terror had said that he had previously had a quick look for this one but hadn't spotted it, so we thought we would hit this one next. We drove over and headed into GZ. We quickly read the description and started our search. We must have been right on the money tonight as it didn't take us more then 5 minutes (if anywhere close) to find it, Tdimdad was pretty onto it with this one! Silly me had decided to dress up for work today and had heels on so I didn't attempt to climb up, but I did help shine a light and they were nice enough to bring it down to sign. TFTC!
Says a lot, doesn't it, about the state of the game when you hide a D3/T2 geocache and it gets found only once a month while easier rated geocaches around get found multiple times a week - yes, I looked at logs off the map. Either folks are slack with logging DNFs or deem actually looking for a geocache won't add to the find count quickly enough. Less of those, more of these I say!
It was a long time back, Net88 and I had breezed in here to find this one at night. But with a terrible torch we didn't bother looking that evening. It's one of my closest to home geocaches and it took a trip this evening with tdimdad and Sezzz for me to return. For the record, I did at least suggest it while we were in the area.
I navigated us to the parking and we piled out. It had been raining, but not at the minute. The ground was slippery though. My GPSr pointed to the area and each with a smartphone torch each (is there anything a smartphone can't do?) began hunting around. Naturally I was adding terrain stars to my hunt, but I did spot a lizard sleeping in a crack.
After a few minutes, tdimdad announced he had something. I descended to check it out too. Naturally, I was impressed that it wasn't 'just a container thrown down' and this hide had been thought about. He fiddled for a while, but it was my nimble fingers that secured the prize. The logbook was signed and replaced all as found. We visited seven geocaches this evening and this was my only find - being so close to home I'd found the rest. But I'm happy with this decent find. Thanks teamdfl

We had found a little series of bike path caches when out with Captain Terror and Sezzz, so what would be more fitting than following the theme.
Captain told the direction to the GZ - after all this is near his home turf - and we all alighted from the geomobile and set for the search. The three of us all had our own approach, Sezzz ensuring the lower levels are checked, Captain speeding uphill and I tried to take the happy medium.
Keeping the cache name in mind I started to suspect this would be a certain shape and location. However, at the same time, a curious little boy inside me led me to try some other things, too, and suddenly I realised I'm looking at something that must be added here after the construction. [^]
I tried to fish it out with whatever I had in my pockets but then Captain stepped in and somehow his fingers were nimble enough to retrieve the container.
It was great to have him, too, have a find on our little trip. We signed all three named in the log and Captain went to return the goodies.
This was a nice idea. Must have been a little light-bulb moment back when this was hidden on where & how to hide the container. It was an enjoyment to find & log.
All good here. TFTC, Teamdfl!

After a birthday lunch for Grandson at a local shopping complex, we decided to have a look at this one since it had not been found since last September. Reading the logs we saw that there was need for a special extraction tool, so a quick call into the special superstore had the TOTT in hand. So off we went. We made the job quite difficult for ourselves, having not read ALL the logs carefully. Mrs RoddyC was quite convinced she had something suspicious in view, but that did not fit in with Mr RoddyC's preconceived idea of where to look. So 40 or so minutes later Mr RoddyC says "what's this? Blimey Charlie, it's where the cache hides. Why didn't you tell me about it." After recovering from the black eye (no - only kidding) the special TOTT came in handy and the log was signed and replaced carefully for the next Cacher. Found at 3.05pm on 17th April 2015. TFTC, TeamDFL! Good one!.
Over lunch in another part of the city, LHE Duo told me about their adventures here this morning. Or maybe it was about their total frustration. Either way it felt something like a challenge to have a go at. So it was after taking a nice walk in another area, that I made the call and arranged to meet them here this afternoon.
When I arrived I could most definitely see how the area could lead to very extensive frustration, but though the CO could not be this cruel. It turns out after quite a lengthy time looking that the CO can be this cruel.
I had with me something that I thought might be just what was needed to help with retrieval, however it turns out that it was not quite the right tool for the job. So after a good 20 minutes looking here and looking there. We were still none the wiser.
With the day getting on and 20 minutes gone in the hunt, combined with the hour that LHE Duo had been here this morning. We decided to make a quick PAF and get it done and dusted. Thankfully the PAF helped to narrow the search area down considerably, but it still took one or two checks in a couple of different places to turn up what it was we were looking for.
A very relieved sigh that the name as finally in the log, and quite a happy skip and a jump back to the car to get away from the smell of what ever animal may have passed away in the general area.

First thing this morning we were going by this one and decided to stop and have a look. Almost an hour later and none the wiser we headed off and decided we would only return here if Geoson was along as he often spots ones we can't easily find. After all he has almost 5 tim4es the finds we do.
Luckily we were at Loganholme shops late in the afternoon when he rang to say he was heading back in this direction and did we want to hang about a while and meet him at this one. It was not too long until we were all hunting. Since he had to be somewhere for dinner he decided to PAF and with a little nudge in the right direction it narrowed the search area considerably and we soon had the Cache in hand. It was exactly where Mr LHE Duo had thought a possible hiding place in the morning but could not find anything when he checked there.
We are just pleased to have added our name to this log and not have to revisit this one again. TFTC

After a big week-end it is time to go to work again.
With quite a bit of time before work today I prepared myself to go looking for this cache.
Much better attired than last time, better equipment, read the hint, description, logs and lots of time to search.
So where to start ... this time I will start there and see what happens. It was not long before I spotted a little something that did not quite belong. Using the little tool I brought along I soon had the cache in hand.
Quick a bit quicker than planned or expected. Easy find.
Thanks for the cache.

I needed to get out of the house today, and what better way to spend the day than a drive southside, and some leisurely caching Time to clean up all these FBG caches [^]
This was the toughest find of the day I chose my parking spot poorly and had about 250 metres back to GZ And then I searched for ages at the wrong altitude, as the Hint had me in a spin And the GPS was going nuts Once I'd worked out where I really should be, I just groaned. Seriously?!?!?!? Methodical didn't cut it here either, as again the GPS went crazy and had me hopping everywhere Time for a PAF and who better to call than the CO, but I got no answer!!!!! Geez Better just keep looking...
I ended up giving up on the GPS and phone as they weren't helping, and was just about to quit when I happened to spot one thing that looked slightly different... noooo, can it be...? A bit of a poke and wow!!! Woohoo!!!! But how to get it out??? Argh, no tools!!!! Geez... mark the spot so I'll remember it, and back to Bumblebee for the caching kit, and I'll bring Bumblebee back to a much better parking spot Back at GZ again, and the cache was very quickly in hand Very happy about this one [^] Better give this one a favourite point for its deviousness TFTC, teamdfl.

Geo Wife and I had the whole day free so we headed north to grab some good caches towards our 7 Souvenirs of August.
We already had a great Traditional from this CO but we had also visited here and unfortunately had no real time to put the effort into finding it so we had left it.
It was playing on Geo Wifes' mind so we headed here first.
With no real clue about where to start one of us started at the top and one at the bottom.
We searched and searched with no luck until Geo Wife had had enough and so pulled out the PAF card.
They gave us some help but it was still unclear exactly where GZ was so we searched again and luckily soon came up with the prize.
WOW!!!! Talk about sneaky it certainly falls in to the great cache category for sneakiest cache we have had for a long while!!!
Thanks TeamDFL TFTC SL

Don't know how I missed this one when it was published but I did. So today was the day to find. After about 30 minutes of futile searching I decided to paf.-after a lengthy description I realized that I was actually standing on it and it wad my cache blindness that caused me to fail. Truly one of the nastiest level 3 caches I have recently found.

Joint FTF with Crew 153 and GT 54 today, loved the hiding spot, very clever indeed. Tftc
I arrived after work today a little after 5pm.
So with only a short time span before it got dark I started searching ...
Not much luck before it got too dark to see.
Now off up the road to get another for my 'cache for the day' streak.

I left home after checking that there were no finds on the cache, and I thought I might be in with a chance for FTF... I arrived at GZ to see four smiling happy faces and knew straight away that I had been beaten.
I had a chat with gullivers travels, crew 153 and cantcacheus2014 I realised I had some work to do. It felt a bit awkward as they watched me work for a bit, then they wished me well, offered a hint, and left me to it. I took the hint and narrowed down my search area... no luck. crew 153 stopped when he saw me still at GZ after he had picked up his car, and he came back to help. still no luck...
a call to gullivers and they were back to save the day. Thanks! even with their hint I was way off! I obviously haven't got the caching brain back in working order after my holiday!
A great cache! well dome teamdfl! TFTC!

I saw the notification and wondered how long it would be before the cache was found but headed off anyway to see.
I drove past the search area at a different level and noticed a couple of people searching so I parked and walked back to join Gullivers travels54 and cantcacheus2014 busy hunting.
There were so many likely spots and we were not all suitably equipted with the correct instruments for the search but we all spread out with high hopes of finding it some how.
Eventually it was Mr GT54 (who was properly equipped) who came up with the find. I'm glad that I wsa with other hunters as I think I would have been searching for L-O-N-G time before I searched the right spot.
Glad to get a joint *FTF* with the others.
Wattshappenin turned up to search before we left so we gave him a hand.
