Based ourselves nearby for a few days to complete some of the local cache trails. We try and stop for all L/B caches on our travels, no problem with the find TFTC.
Always pleasant logging a letter box cache. Wasn't un happy about stopping as we were in a long tail. Glad there was pull over space - had no chance without it. Great cache, thank you.
One of my sons in Whangarei is going on an OE. He sold his car to his brother Tim in Dunedin and fortunately for me Tim wanted me to drive the car down. Of course I jumped at the idea of a geocaching roadie. I've had lots of puzzles solved for such a long time so geoarts were the main target of the trip.
In Palmy area I wanted the shield series and the 20/20 geoart. Then Wairarapa was stickman (which we ran out of time for), the new M geoart and some archived skindo challenges. Wellington was finishing off the kiwi geoart. Nelson I had a few challenges I wanted before heading to Christchurch. It was family time there and perhaps the smile series but time ran out again. Off to Dunedin for the airplane geoart. Then it was time to fly home to say goodbye to my son heading to Denmark.
It was great to have my friend Supernanny come along on the trip for company. We had a wonderful trip and fantastic weather apart from one afternoon. Now it's time to start writing the massive backlog of logs which is taking a while. I like to add different types to my statistics so this was added to my huge list. An easy parking place and quick find. Thanks for the letterbox cache

Decided it was time to escape the coast for a long weekend and visit friends in Napier. Bkj97 loves early starts and was ready to depart by 4.45am. Weather miserable but improved as the day went on. Pulled in here in the dark but dawn was thinking of making an appearance. Quick find and onto Woodville for breakfast. T4tcsl
Found with little blue hen on our way to napier. Dawn just breaking and traffic nose to tail over the saddle so stopped as I was sick of the tanker's rear end. Quick find all good here. Tftcsl
After a lovely night at Bettina's B&B at 43 Ross St, we did a few geocaches as we started the final day of our trek homeward after attending a funeral in Woodbury (Woodville's South Island cousin). This one seems to be a bit further away than first appears (maybe it's original hiding spot has been broken). Didn't have our stamp with us, so will have to re-visit some time in the future. TFTC.
Well it was a letterbox cache, and so had to stop
As to getting to the cache, hung onto the fence and walked my way to its hiding place, but decided to carry it closer to the car, as dropping it into the water, or over the fence was not my plan.
Happy to sign, and I had my stamp with me too, so both logs where visited.
Thanks Popmac for the hide

A quick park and grab on our way over the saddle road and past all the turbines. Nice to find another letterbox cache. TFTC
Quick stop on our way from Wellington to Napier then to Gisborne. Grabbed the TB.
Malinkaly and I planned a road trip to go to the MEGA but Covid has postponed the event again. We decided to continue on with our planned journey making adjustments as we go with the ever-changing travel restrictions.
Greetings from Dunedin!
Thanks for the cache, Popmac

Took a detour to grab my first letterbox! Met some lovely black and white ladies who got excited at our arrival but turned their backs once they realized we were just after the box and didn't bring any food...

Saw that the Saddle Rd was going to be closed for a week so shot off to do this one while I could. Nice quick find. TFTC!
probably easier to get this cache coming down the hill than going up.

With Gap (of Fap and Gap)... Easter weekend is upon us. We’ve been looking forward to this holiday - it’s a chance to take a big swipe at the PWGT2 caches. We’re also keen to pick off some interesting hides and avenge one or two previous DNFs...
We were lucky to strike a bit of a lull in traffic flow and Gap manoeuvred the vehicle across the lane and into the small layby. The find proved to be less of a challenge... Thanks Popmac and TFTC.

What to do on a long weekend. Organise a trip to the mighty Manawatu So here we are. Team BoP on a mission. Cheers for bringing me here.
I am logging using the Cachly app template so please excuse generic logging along the way. It’s just my way of keeping track, but I do genuinely thank each and every one of you cache owners for taking the time and energy to place these cache. Many Thanks for bringing me here. Cheers.

Team BOP back together after a 3 month hiatus - this time hitting the Manawatu with our sights set on some Labs, some geo-art & everything else that crosses our path
We’ve signed our logs as Team BOP to save time and log space and have thoroughly enjoyed the journey so far. Pleasantly surprised that very little maintenance has been required and that most caches have been found quickly & without fuss.
While I am cut&pasting these logs using the Cachly ‘text template’ I do genuinely appreciate the work put into these caches, particularly some of the puzzles. Cheers and TFTC

Off on another adventure with Team BOP to the Manawatu on a long weekend Great weather and company And lots of different types of caches Day one Using this template but will add individual notes as we go Thanks to all the COs for providing the caches and fun
On a weekend road trip with Philip.Perry, McJandals and NZFlossy down to the Manawatu. Day 1 we are hitting the 20/20 series then not sure what we will be doing. Most of these puzzles were relatively easy to solve except for about five which took a bit of research. Signed the logs TeamBOP.
Day 11 of a road trip with Saethwr around the lower North Island. Caching not a priority, but we will get a few.
Fielding to Martinborough.
A good place to bull over and let the traffic behind us pass.
Saethwr made the retrieval then signed the log book while I stamped the stamp book with my owl and my stamp book with the provided stamp.
I'd think that at the moment this road would always be busy, and it wouldn't be unusual to see someone pulled over here being courteous.
Thanks for the smilie Popmac.

Thanks Popmac for placing this cool letterbox cache
It was years ago that I first spotted this and decided to save it for a rainy day...
Well finally that day has come - with an nice cold Southerly blowing a few raindrops around the windfarm today.
I took my 86yr old Dad for a scenic drive and was happy to stop and sign this one along the way

Ms_KR and I are on our annual pilgrimage to Auckland for our family Christmas. Today we cruised to Napier. Please excuse the generic logs, there have been a few finds and they get muddled up sometimes.
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

Here from Taranaki for the weekend and this letter box was on my list for today. Cool placement. Loved how the stamp book was large enough for my stamp which is on the rather large side so FP given. Thanks popmac
Out on a weekend caching trip with Buttels with the aim of picking up the SHIELD and 20/20 series and mostly solved puzzles along the way. Sorry for the generic log, but most of these caches blurred into each other. There appeared to be three types of caches (power pole, brace and bison) mainly with a few other interspersed types. Found all of the SHIELD barring about 4 DNF's. We plotted a route prior to getting out here to reduce the amount of backtracking on these back roads. Managed to get through the whole SHIELD and 10 of the 20/20 plus a dozen others in the day before it got dark. If there are specifics about a cache, I will write them after this:
Simplicity. Loved this one.. Gets a FP from me.

We double backed here after seeing there were trackables last located here. Unfortunately they have gone missing.
A nice and easy find from my toddler.

Heading back home from Wharite peak and targeted this one as I'd always missed it in the past... Travelling too fast; traffic behind me r. u. m. a.; little time to do it... But... this is a great letterbox hybrid geocache. Parking right there, though probably shouldn't do it travelling towards Palmy TFTC
#8094. After staying the night in Palmerston North, it was an early start today (well it was daylight so not too early) and headed to Ashhurst and up over hill to tackle the Stickmen series before returning to the Community Celebration event in the early afternoon. But stopped on the way to do this letterbox. I was expecting a bit of a search under the trees nearby but no the CO was very considerate and left it in a place you might leave mail. Signed the logbook and replaced the cache as found. Thanks Popmac for putting out this letterbox here.
On a weekend road trip to Napier to see sir Elton, and finding a few caches on the way. This was one of them. No trouble finding this one, TFTC
Day three of my road trip from Auckland to Nelson in my newly acquired convertible cachemobile. Finding a few caches along the way. Good parking next to the cache and an instant find where my GPS took me. Nice to find another letterbox cache today. TFTC, Biggles.
TFTC, very quick find when heading over the saddle in the early morning with minimal traffic. Nice to get another one of these caches

And to think the cars behind me were thinking I pulled over to let them pass, no, there is a geo cache here, found straight away, picked up a tb and dropped a tb
No problem finding the green box or the cache. The first problem was pulling over safety in the traffic on this busy road, next was crossing that same road but the worst bit was when I dropped the box and the myriad of swag inside ended up in the ditch. Slowly picked up everything I could see but there's bound to be a marble and other tiny things still in there. TFTC # 14,893
We were travelling from Woodville which made stopping a little tricky but managed to pull off the road a little way past the cache. Just as well because the road sure was busy. TFTC .
Labour weekend! Yeah, the first long weekend in almost 5 months, and a chance to blow a few cobwebs away after what feels like a very long winter.
The wind today certainly did its best to blow away cobwebs, loose clothing, logsheets, plastic bags and indeed anything that wasn't properly nailed down, such was the southerly that assaulted the party of 6 of us (Seagnoid, Etherlord, Stardust, All7ofus, ThatWeirdGuy and myself) that traveled together to do the Stickman geoart series in the mist and rain of the hills overlooking the Manawatu and the Wairarapa.
ThatWeirdGuy and I were really just along for the ride, and a chance to complete the series, having found most of them on a separate trip a year ago. But the company was good, and it was going to be a good way to get the 3 extra caches that hadn't been published when I was last up here.
This cache was one that the others had found some time ago, but TWG04 and I hadn't, and Letterbox Hybrids are a bit scarce around here so I really wanted to take advantage of a rare trip over Saddle Road to stop for it. A straightforward find at GZ, with the container and log being nice and dry here in spite of being a bit exposed to the elements. So the log was swiftly signed and replaced as found.
Thanks for placing this cache.

Thanks for placing a letterbox here. It was great to find. Little traffic on the road so pulling off was no problem and there was a good space to stop just meters from the cache.
2nd letterbox of the day and always great to find them. No problems with the cache, thanks

We were on our way over to Woodville for a little caching and some maintenance today, so thought this would be a good rural spot to place this geocoin. It doesn't want to be in urban environments.
First time across Saddle Road and to get up close to the turbines and views. Thanks for the Letterbox cache - must get a stamp of my own.
As I am about to leave Woodville shortly it was time that I find and sign off the closest ones.
On the right side of the road for this one.

Cheers for the cache.

Found in late Jan when I was down here for my Grandmother's funeral. Just notice I didn't log this one.
Nice easy find on a early morning drive over to Woodville this morning. Great to have a nice safe place to park while finding this cache on such a busy road

Thanks to the Cache Owner who has gone to the trouble of creating this cache, determining the coordinates and then averaging them to make sure they are accurate, placing the cache and registering it online for our enjoyment. Without Cache Owners doing their bit, there wouldn't be a fun hobby that we all love - so again a big THANK YOU. For our bit, all we need to do is find and log the cache that was carefully placed for our personal enjoyment. As we log it we should consider that the Cache Owner also needs to maintain it - when the log sheet fills up, they must replace it. When the container becomes full of water, they need to empty it. When the container is broken, they need to repair it. When it goes missing they need to find or replace it. Well..... the great news is we can do our bit too - make sure your log doesn't take an entire page - just a name and date. If full of water, empty and dry the cache as best as possible. Be careful when handling the cache and make sure you replace it where you found it. If it has a bag, seal it. Just remember - the Cache Owner showed respect to you by placing the cache - please respect them and fellow cachers that follow you by being careful with the cache. And if you have a spare log sheet and the cache you are at needs one, please leave it behind. Finally, if the cache does need maintenance, please let the Cache Owner know - you can log a Maintenance Log or you can drop a line to the Cache Owner. Above all - have fun and remember the Geocaching Code.
Thanks for another smilie.

With the gorge shut I took the saddle road over the hill. Glad I did. Great letter box. Thanks for the cache.
After plans with a friend fell through i had a day all to myself, what shall i do ? so off i went caching i picked up a few around Woodville and a few out the back, was a fun day all round. Thanks for the cache.
Popped over to Hastings today with Gr33nslime and DangerSAM. I'm trying to get my letterbox caches up so we made sure to stop here on the way back. Gr33nslime had visited before but forgot to collect the stamp, so this worked well for her as well. DangerSAM had a long day though so it was a very sort visit. He waa'd a bit in the car giving Gr33nslime and I good reason to step out for a few seconds to park'n'grab this cache before returning to our vocal drive home. Luckily he seemed to think dads driving was soothing and soon fell as sleep. TFTC.
#47 I was a little distraught by this stage after a very long time chained in my carseat. If i had been a bit older i reckon dad would have given me a cool stamp on the hand and that might have kept me quiet. Mum put a stamp in her brand new Letterboxing notebook, because she has become that obsessed! Lots of cool swag here too, pity i couldnt play with any. Thanks Popmac, nice tidy, dry cache.
