Spent a fair bit of time exploring this area in the hope of finding what others couldn't, but no luck today.
We pulled up here last night for a rest as it was pretty much the first rest area since passing Sydney. Chilly morning and the duey spider webs were facinating

Day 1 of our Newcastle holiday, and leaving at 5 am, it is still a 12 hour non-stop trip. As such stops are being kept to a minimum.
Pretty busy area this one and the Hot Jam Don't van is doing well. Glad this one was out of the way and we were able to find it quickly at 3.20 pm.

Find 442 for the tribe.
A rest stop was needed and the cache promoted a good bit of walking on this occasion! Normally with these rest area caches you wonder if they may be muggled but I think this one is fairly safe!
Signed the log and returned cache to it's location. Both cache and log are in excellent condition.
Thanks not only for the cache but also for the reminder of these great Australians who we can be so thankful for.

Our only find for the day on our way back from the ACT to Sydney after a nice camping holiday and attending the Mega event in Queanbeyan.
With the traffic building on the road at the end of the school holidays I was reluctant to pull off too often because I could see there was a bit of difficulty getting back onto the motorway in some places. Besides, we wanted to get home and not spend too much time on the road.
This spot was a convenient stop to stretch the legs, have a quick snack and something to drink, and also to find a nearby cache. The find was very easy, though well away from all the muggles who stop here.
I added my name to the log sheet before returning the container to where I had found it. I added a bit more natural camo because the container had been quite exposed when we got there and looked like it needed to be shielded a little bit from curious eyes.

A very short drive along the highway,
and after successfully dodging the traffic,
I ended up here at the rest area
A stroll around took me away from the muggles,
and I found this memorable cache [^]
