Haha fun working out how to get this one, We like ones that take a little thought.
Found it with the help of some clues from previous cachers. Not sure about the Charlie reference unless the container has been replaced? Found it with Hally4
Kiwinic and myself are on a bit of a half trip around oz. Caching as we go! A quick find for us here today. TFTC
Thanks for the cache. Found today on our way thru. Thanks for the maintenance as we didn't find it last time.
Located the cache with the help of Charlie.Freddo and e.gregory1 were heading up the middle of Australia following Stuart's well trodden route. We were travelling in air conditoned comfort and style. No stale food. No camels to carry water. We were leaving the cold winter for the northern season.Today was the day to find this cache. Today is the tenth day of Augustus Caesar's Month in the wonderful year of twenty twenty four. We found your cache container and added some inky stuff to the paper sheet or note pad you have supplied for a log book or scroll. The cache container and log book or scroll were in good condition. It was so hot. No wind today. With the log signed and the cache replaced it was time to leave. Onwards to the next cache. Woot, that is not to far.I would like to show my respect and acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the Land, and their continuing connection to it. I wish to pay my respects to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures; and to Elders past, present and emerging.I will apologize right now, because everything from here on is here solely for the purpose of padding the word count and winning that one hundred word diamond badge again. Somebody moved the goal posts. So many caches to find. So many caches to log. We find them, sign them and replace them. This particular geocache was found using one of the following GPS enabled devices, Garmin GPSr, Montana 680t, Oregon 650 or Dakota 20 and an Apple iPhone 11 using the marvelous Cachly app. Waypoints and paperless geocaching were downloaded via GSAK 9. Log prepared, checked and submitted using GSAK publish logs macro.Warning, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun. Apologies for the generic part of the cache log. We do apologise for the generic logs. Thanks to all the cache owner for placing this cache here for our enjoyment. Thanks for the cache. Merci la cache. Danke fr den Cache. Gracias por el cach. I found this cache on a trip from Adelaide to the top end with Freddo for a few weeks.Another cache that needed replacing. Thanks Lumpyjrb for the cache.
We searched for quite a while in all the usual spots but no smiley for us today. Thanks anyway Lumpyjrb
Gave this a really good search, climbed up. Fairly sure we gave this a solid search but no cache today.
Well my whirl wind tour of 5 states in 3 weeks has started and after reaching the SA border and now the NT border it was time to locate a few caches here or there as I won’t be doing that much caching on this trip as I’m with muggle friends.
So after a great few days in Litchfield NP I decided to ditch the other couple but that is for another story.
So after drive up to Darwin and back yesterday it was time to head back south to were I end up for the night.
With the van in tow I had to be selective of which caches I could stop for and Pine Creek is a great little spot to get out and stretch the legs.
I have reached Katherine so time to fuel up and stretch the legs and of course find a cache or two.
I remember the last time I was up here I was going to look for this one but a group of locals had settled in there but today I had the place to myself and a handy bit of timber helped me out today.
A great cache container as well.
Thanks Lumpyjrb TFTC.

On our travels we found ourselves back in Kathrine and took the opportunity to grab a few more caches, well well well, you tricky trickster, I have to say it is a very cute cache once we found it and yes our bull bar came in handy like many others, feel free to up the T rating, it most definitely deserves it, thanks for placing this awesome cache
Travelling with iluvtrekking and after spending twelve days in Darwin are now caching Katherine and surrounds. Very cute. Thanks for the hide.
Travelling with richlink on a trip from Perth to Darwin and returning through the centre to SA and home again. Today, we are exploring Katherine and picking up some caches as we go. Thanks for the cache.
Day 41 of our greynomad trip up north and after a the JLWEvents, a tour of Maralinga and caching to claim LGAs in the Eyre Peninsula, we are attempting to escape the southern weather that has been wet and windy.
Charlie looked pretty content is his hidey spot.

What a cute find. Definitely a FP from me. Irondale was taller so she did the retrieval and replacement TFTC!
Walking up I saw something and thought oh that’s cute, then looking at the name of the cache I realised. (To be fair I never watched the show.)

What a great bicycle track that runs through this area. We then came down to visit the railway bridge and explore it a little.
Definitely felt a lot more challenging than T1.5, but nonetheless, with a tool we keep in our boot, we soon had the log signed on this very cute container.
Thanks Lumpyjrb

I came with a stool and still couldn't reach. I note someone used a ladder. Definitely not a 1.5T if equipment is needed. Likely 4T (although geocaching rates terrain that needs equipment, as 5T).
I didn't have a ladder in my suitcase that I could use. Better to rate it correctly and save people without a ladder, etc from wasting their time.
On tiptoes, standing on my stool and holding a mirror over my head, I did spot a suspicious orange object. That sound like 1.5T! Whatever it was, it was way beyond my reach.

Found with The X-Trailers. Quick find with a ladder. Was expecting it to be a harder find. TFTC Cute cache apt for where it is.
DNF at 11:33 AM.
It was found 12 days ago and now it is gone! Checked with Snakepitters who replaced it in August last year - but there was nothing to be found now.

Travelling again with ilook4geo and heading north to pick up some of the caches around the Katherine region. This was one we found after a quick search, the log was signed and all was replaced as found. Thanks go to Lumpyjrb for placing this cache.
Hunting along with goingplaces2 and picking up caches they have not done before. Enjoyed each discovery and adding names to each log where possible. TFTC.
Spending a few days in NT(not nearly enough) soaking up the sun. TFTC Lumpyjrb
After a relaxing morning on a gorge tour, we decided to get some smileys on the way home

Both muggle husband and I had a very good look for this one from above and below, and neither of us could find it. I really think it has gone.
Not sure what's happening here, with the same previous finders, finding the cache where others have a DNF, TODAY another DNF HERE.
Well this one had fallen down on the ground and I only found it after searching for over 10 mins.
I’ve placed it up high, but it shouldn’t be too difficult for any height challenged people.
Visited 3 TB.

Found! Think this had fallen from the hiding spot so replaced it where it was more hidden
Failed with this one. Geokids got a little bored so we moved on. Tftc though and for the history lesson. Much appreciated on our travels.
No luck on this one today. I spent about 15 minutes looking but obviously in all the wrong places.
Thanks anyway Lumpyjrb.

Aaaw how cute is Charlie. Nice appropriate cache. Quick to find slightly challenging to retrieve and replace. TFTC.
In Katherine again so out for a few more caches. This one was a quick find. Thankfully all the grass had been burnt.
Thanks for the cache

Lots of historical spots to stop and have a look around. This was one of them, and the cache container was spotted pretty quickly. Cute container and very appropriate. TFTC
Another nice find to add to our tally around Katherine. It’s 4 years since we last visited and it’s great to see so many new caches for us to find. We thought we’d come close to cleaning Katherine out on our last visit, but the local COs have been busy hiding more in our absence. Thank you all, we appreciate it very much.

On our way north then over to the west then back home to Geelong.

We took Grandma on her first caching adventure for this one. Neat hiding spot - lucky I’m tall!
A quiet day in Katherine as we prepare to start travelling south east on our way to visit the grandkids in Cairns then Weipa. It has been a long trip since the Red Centre Experience over Easter as we have visited the west coast , traversed the Gibb River Road and I squeezed in 2 week trip to Cambodia and Vietnam.
A really relaxed day with 5 quick easy finds. Thanks to all the COs for placing these caches for us to find. All logs were signed, mostly as SG as I so often do in small caches to save space.
Loved little Charlie - he's doing a great job.

We decided to stay the night in Katherine, mainly to do the Cutta Cutta caves tour and then see how many other local caches we could locate whilst exploring the area.
We are glad that Charlie bought us here, it's quite an impressive structure. We had no idea that this rail was built during WWI, we have only heard about it's uses in WWII. We pulled up in the shade of a tree and then tossed a coin to see if we went up or down and for once we chose the right way. A little bit of watching where we put our feet we were soon at gz and we spotted Charlie hiding away. He allowed us to sign his log book before putting him back where he belonged.
Once more our thanks Lumpyjrb for the cache.

Still travelling NT after the Red Centre Experience but now moving towards Birdsville in QLD for the Big Red Bash.
Staying a few days in Katherine to attempt 'lots' of the local caches we hope.
Nice weather although warming up a bit again.
Log was full so we replaced it whilst here.

Pulled into the caravan park just before lunch. Had lunch & a rest then headed out to locate a few caches. This took us on a great tiki tour around the country side.
Had to get something to stand on to be able to reach the cache. I liked the look of Charlie

We headed back to Katherine today to do some more caching and stopped to grab this one on the way in.
We didn't know which way to approach this cache and couldn't make sense of the clue so struggled for a while until we consulted some of the logs.
Thank you for placing this cache here.

Hi there Lumpyjrb.
We found your cache **"Charlie"** at 11:39:00 AM today. This cache makes our find count 14259.
Today's cache run was a quick dash to log a few before it got too hot. (But Katherine doesn't seem to be as hot as Darwin! ). We thoroughly enjoyed our tour today, without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found this cache around two metres from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** Nothing.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny.
