Well, the pair of us went bush, for a good 15 minutes, and failed to find the goods, nor a possum guardian. Had a poke about, removed some rubbish, but no luck to be logging a find on new years day at this one.
Arrived the night before for a road trip with my muggle friend from Canberra to Brisbane with a stop to walk the 5night/4day Green Gully Track. Today I took the Friday off to explore Canberra for its first time. Enjoyed my walk up Red Hill and Capital Hill exploring and finding Geocaches. Found on my way to the event. TFTC
The hint for this cache put us in the right place to be able to make a quick find. The container was found on the ground, so after signing the log the container was put back, with at least a little bit of camo on top. It should be fairly safe. Thanks go to Walga for placing this cache for us to find.
Out and about picking up a few caches along the shore of Lake Burley Griffin. TFTC.
Went on a hike with my mates sebass14 and Aussie47 and found this second out of 6 caches me and my mates found. Brilliant!
6:38:00 PM: (2 of 3) Find#11298
another evening find which was a bit harder in the dark but spied something which at first I discarded which turned out to be the cache.. bingo.. all good.
thanks Walga

No possums were evident today, but I did disturb a couple of beautiful parrots near GZ. It ended up being a pretty easy find in the end - much easier than I had anticipated on my approach to the area. Luckily there was no one about today, so I didn't feel too conspicuous heading in & out of the bushes! TFTC.
Fantastic spot. Had a truckie confused which made me laugh. Also adorable possum looking after the cache. TFTC
Making use of what I thought was a lovely, sunny day, I took another cycle to Lake Burley Griffin to cover another stretch and find some more geocaches.
This was the first I found - a great little hideout here! TFTC!

Found and grabbed but then I had to run away whilst a couple of families of muggles packed up and left. Returned again now. #ninja. TFTC
A nice little after walk stroll or two near the lake on a lovely evening.
I was a little dubious about this as I got to GZ in my office attire and with lots of muggles in the vicinity, but it turned out to be an easy and non-work-attire-harming find. Clever placement, really. TFTC

Another one done. Woo Hoo! I enjoyed finding this one at 10:12:49 AM before coaching a mate for some sailing.
I love the challenge of the geocache hunt - read the notes, decipher the cache requirements, and go searching for the hide. This is an amazing world-wide game of hide and seek. I love it! I also enjoy caching with my 2 boys, and meeting fellow cachers. It really is a small world when I read over cache logs and see my names of friends who have found caches around the country. **Thanks go to Walga** for making the effort to place this cache and maintain it. It's a great contribution to the Geocaching community and is much appreciated.
TFTC! Cheers. *Jump Pilot*

Glad we found it, it was not where we expected to find it! Beautiful elephant, thanks Sullendiaz - we swapped it for a bunch of precious trinkets from our cache-stash.
It's Australia day weekend, so that must mean Finalf29 is battling it out at CanCon and I am caching with AngelG27... and thus nature is balanced. We got the "Nifty" canoe out on the water of Lake Burley Griffin this morning. Perfect conditions... cool and overcast, with beautiful flat water. We had a great time finding T5's. I collected four, then I found another 7 land caches during the day. I was privileged to join in on a puzzle solving afternoon with AngelG27, ZQX, Tikvanz and Fox in Jox... I learnt some new techniques, but boy did they think quick. Thanks AngelG27 for a perfect day
This was my fifth for the day. After packing the canoe away, I quickly made this find while AngelG27 hydrated in the air-conditioned car. Thanks

Parked nearby and then went bush, but took me a little while to spot the container that was right in front of my nose!
TNLN - Thanks Walga!

Found this very nice cache while it was pooring rain. At first I thought the construction would be a problem but didnt need to go near that. No need to upset anyone or anything there.
I stopped by, went bush and made a quick find. It's a nice solid container. Thanks for the cache!
Wow i found this a few months ago and have only just uploaded my logs. I need to get back into caching. Picked this one up while passing through Canberra on the way back from work. Thanks for the walk around the lake.
I thought this area would be quiet in the middle of a weekday but the place is crawling with workmen! Ducked in and out like a frightened seagull but got the goods! TFTC
Quick find. Lot of work going on nearby building or maybe refurbishing. Cache is in good condition. Tftc
Having a drive around Canberra whilst visiting for a holiday with relatives. This cache was in excellent condition! We swapped a puppy with some small charms. Geokids loved it! Thanks for the cache and the lovely view of Lake Burly Griffin Walga!
A bit of skin taken off my hand when heading through the bush to get to the cache. Thankfully a quick signing on a quiet Sunday morning at GZ.
I had tried this one some time ago for a big fail. To-day however spotted it immediately. TFTC.
Nice quick find, though the GPSr was about 6m out. First for the afternoon spent around the lake and stirling ridge
Attempted to find this a couple of years ago but couldn't find the container. Wife made find today. TFTC
Suspicious looking green location proved correct for this cache.
Thanks Walga.
Thanks Walga.
Number 5 in our afternoon Geocache Walk - what a bushy hiding place. Left a lucky Chinese Feng Shui coin and dropped the 100 years of Scouting TB. TFTC 2BluFish
As a kid I used to love this sort of hidey places for cubbies and lots of other things. Great place for a cache on way to Mary Hyde event at the carillon. TFTC
After searching for 30 mins or more 18 months ago & having to DNF, it's good to get a smiley on this one TFTC
TFTC have been meaning to grab this for a while now it has been replaced. Much easier find
Bit difficult because the sun wasn't quite up yet. But perserverance pays off. Great hide! Tftc
This was my Thirteenth find for the day. After half a day of cycling and caching I had finally made it to the shoreline of Lake Burley Griffin. At the GZ it was a quick park (of the bike) and grab. TNLN. TFTC.
Down in Canberra for the weekend for a sporting event and getting some geocaches as well.
Found this on a nice day having a walk around Lake Burley Griffin. An easy find and yes I also saw the old shoe. TFTC

A police car was oarked nearby as we pulled up on our mountain bikes. They quickly left after seeing us. It must have been those crazy cable ties in our helmets. A nice spot, out of sight. TFTC
This is taking a park and grab to a whole new easy level. Parks a plenty today and it was straight out the door and into..... the cache! Best thing is once there no worries about muggles while the logging is done. Thanks for the cache Walga!
Fantastic container! The coordinates had us standing in the middle of a road and being watched by many muggles but we managed to find the cache after some searching around. If you're having trouble, try S 35° 17.979 E 149° 06.175.
Had a few minutes to spare after completing a job in Yarralumla this afternoon, so called by to check out this cache. A nice straight forward fund. TFTC!
Youban ducked in while I stood point pretending to be on the phone. Muggles maybe wondering what I was doing there, but I think not. Tftc!!!
I think this one would best be done at night. I had a quick look around then ducked quickly. Dty73 faked a phone call while the log was signed. I did a two-way call to Mr Geo waiting in the car as I nonchalantly resurfaced. Muggles abound on Saturday morning. Kutgw
