The GZ is under large scale renovation and overhaul, its blocked by fences, unapproachable.

DNF
As there were no real DNFs on this one (except ones where people didn't even get to GZ) I was pretty intrigued to go and see if I can get to it.
Friday, after 6pm, it was bound to be quiet and unattended. So it was. I sneaked past the fence and got to GZ. Looked and feeled around a bit but I have a feeling that it is actually gone. Things at GZ look completely overhauled, I think, after the cache was last found 2 years ago.

Couldn't get near. New earthworks happening in the spot. Probably no longer there
This morning we left the campsite at 10.30 to go on foot to the centre and look for some caches on the way. Some caches were an easy find and some were not found for different reasons.
There were no real interesting caches in this series, so we will settle for one log for them all and, when necessary, put an extra note.
The cache has disappeared after a construction site fence and is not accessible.

This one was a bit of a mission this evening, we snuck around the barriers and carefully made our way to the GZ. The find took far too long, the co ords were spot on and all of a sudden we had the aaarrrhhh moment. The log was quickly signed and we were off to the next one. TFTC.
Didn't seem to be anyone on the walkway or at the Plunket so not sure if you were watching or not. Excellent hide here that blends in to make it practically invisible to a non-cacher - very well done. TFTC # 10,134
#2658 Was in town for a couple of weeks and today I picked up a couple of caches on my wander from A to B. Neat hide here, blends in very well. TFTC!
Quick grab on my way to the Hotel after a beautiful day in Akaroa. No muggles on Sunday evening.Tftc
Enjoying a long and sunny weekend in Christchurch and this morning in Riccarton for the market and some geocaching. It blends easy very well. TFTC
Found on an early morning walk near our accommodation on our last day in NZ. Favourite point awarded for the boldness of the hide! Thanks for the cache shaun.rolston!
Taking advantage of the nice long summer evening to go and find a few caches after work. Well this one had me going for a wee while and then I noticed something of interest... Ah ha! The cache! Very nicely hidden. TFTC, Biggles.
Mr b made quick work of this one. nice little spot the cache is hidden in. nice camo. On our final day of an 11 day caching trip around the south island. Log signed as b&p.Tftc shaun.rolston. Find # 4058
Only two days before we leave this beautiful country of New Zealand, so again we cache along our route to complement our site seeing. We also toke the time to walk a bin along an old train track. We had some bull looking at us and they followed us to the end of there field.

I've been trying to find reasons to walk places for Pokemon Go, but I've run out of errands to do, so I've been geocaching more often lately. This was a nice little park that I hadn't been to yet, so that was a pleasant surprise. The camo on this one is really good. Thanks for the cache!!
Found with odgersaj when I didn't have a prem account so didn't log them - now I do though! Signed the log back then but didn't do the online bit so logging now. Thank you!!
There were muggles on the playground but the Jr. Cachers know how to provide screening during searches. Spotted this hide quickly and the muggles ignored us while we signed the log and replaced the cache. Well hidden, TFTC.
Fairly quick find. No one else here. No sign of any watchers. Who would be inside on a day like today during Uni holidays? Beautiful out. Tftc
Here in ChCh for a quick visit... while Miss 17 is still fast asleep I headed out on a coolish sat morn for a walk around the neighbourhood near the Motel.
This was no. 2 - and very pleased it is early and all the "students" are still asleep.
Good wee hide here - but didn't fool me for long.

Clever hide found in the dark while killing time waiting. Geo instincts lead me there. TFTC SL +tiki
2nd cache of the day, found on my way home from uni, very sneaky little camouflage. Tftc
#2,449: Cool Smilie!
I came to this one after success at the nearby defunkt dirtmover. This was a cool hide, with no one around. All in goods shape!

Found it while travelling to my next appointment, had the GZ to myself, no one to notice (well I think I got away with it) what 1eyednbf (1 eyed and proud of it) was up to. Really enjoyed this one, I was wandering round not having much luck, when no… it won’t be, is it, it is, very cheeky nicely done, easy find in the end, TFTH
It took us a wee while to spot this brilliantly hidden cache, which gets a favourite from us. TFTC
This weekend saw us travel down to Christchurch from Auckland to tackle some caches towards our GIO Licence Challenge on Rangitoto Island. We needed to find 125 caches at least 500km from home, which also consisted of at least 50 different owners. Some cheap flights made Christchurch seem like the perfect opportunity to fulfil these requirements. It was a jam packed caching filled weekend, and a bit of a whirlwind visit, but we got to see some cool things during this time.
A straightforward find here for our mission today. Thanks for the hide.

A very late log, found this entry in our cache field notes today, and noted they had not been entered!
Radionut had a couple of day's work in Christchurch at the start of April, so we were staying close by. A walk to the Mall went very close to this, so we found this cunning hide in a surprising area.

After lunch at the mall I left the family to shop while I escaped with my umbrella for a walk and a couple of caches. It didn't take me too long to spot the nicely camoed container. I wonder if anyone spotted me. Hopefully not.
Thanks shaun.rolston for the cache.

Cool hide, found easily while we were having a picnic lunch in the area. Tftc!
A well concealed cache that took a bit of looking and thinking about. A quiet morning. Picked up TB will take it back to HB with us. TFTC
Had some time to kill while Mr i-gotit was at a meeting so I did what geocachers do. Nice park, nice hide. Dropped off a TB.
Decided to do a spot on caching on my way to a movie. Haven't explored this park before. Took me a minute or two to spot the well camouflaged cache. Nicely done! TFTC
The students were all quiet here first things this morning making for a quick find of this well hidden cache - gets a favourite. TFTC shaun.rolston, #8218
I happened to be in town for a conference and decided to go for a late evening walk before retiring for the night and grabbing a couple of caches, the closest to our accomodation. I really liked the hide and the camo. I like how it's obvious for cachers but anyone else would be oblivious. Gets a favourite from me.
There was loud music playing nearby. Notice the hesin being used for weed matting nearby.
Found it #9 streak

Now that was a fun one with good coords and a good sized container that is well concealed but easily recognised by a group cacher.

Everything was pretty quiet - probably because for the early morning rugby Semi-final. Found the cache looking at me easily. A clever wee 'hiding in the open' cache. TFTC
Came down to Christchurch for the 2015 MEGA with a group of caching buddies for the weekend. My first MEGA, and it was fantastic- loved every minute, the caching, the events, meeting other like-minded crazies (sorry, I mean cachers!!!). Our group found 283 caches throughout the course of the of the weekend, so apologies for the cut and paste logs- but it's going to take me hours to log them all!!!! All logs were signed as SEAC (South East Auckland Crew), to reflect our home caching base!
HUGE thanks to all involved in putting on the MEGA event, and also to all of the Chch CO's for the effort gone to in their hides- we found some awesome caches, including fantastic hides, and cleverly done camo.... well done Christchurch, you're an awesome bunch!
Third day today, our mission being to find as many different kind of caches we could. This one was on our way to another, so we stopped to make the find. Cool hiding place! TFTC.

Was down in Christchurch unexpectedly and doing a few caches next to where I was staying.
Saw this one was unfound and as I approached GZ (even in the dark) thought this place looks familiar. I didn't even need my GPS sure enough I HAD found this cache during the recent Mega and NOT LOGGED the find !!!!!!!!!!! (OH the SHAME!!!!!!)
Had found this with a group from Auckland and signed as SEAC (South East Auckland Crew)
I am now rectifying my mistake and eventually logging.

Day three of the ChCh Mega weekend and today's goal was to make finds on as many different cache types in 24hrs... this was another type for the day.
Just not able to drive past perfectly good cache placements. I liked this cache... really cool.
Signed as 'SEAC' South East Auckland Crew to save logbook space and time.

Very clever hide And so easy to check! Finally logging my Mega caches. Found with Haydnseek and Stardust.
Heading out to the MEGA today with other geocachers. Wanted to find some caches on the way with Haydn.Seek and RobGlassey. Enjoyed exploring different parts of Christchurch. Cleverly constructed, found quickly by haydn.seek
As a small party we were touring around this quadrant of town looking for a variety of caches and we were very lucky as we had very few DNFs today and quite a collection of differing types of caches.
Thank you for the cache and another smiley face.

Dusted of the bike for a nice ride around ChCh great way to explore before he Mega gets to busy. thanks for the cache
[green] My first day in Christchurch, having arrived last night. Normally I would head out each day and cache out a suburb, and so by the end of two weeks pretty much have cached out the city. But it is all a green field! I could not decide which way to go. So in the end I let the GPS decide. This is the first time I have cached in a city restricting myself to Garmin's Get Next Closest and seeing where it lead me. I started in the middle of town at the square and ended up at Riccarton Racecourse, with a trail of 50 little smileys behind me.
Looks like State Housing to me....

Was just finishing off the cache when a drunk stumbled through keen to talk. Took a while to convince him he should carry on.
Nice cache. Thanks
Nice cache. Thanks
TFTC. Had a spare afternoon on our last day here, thought we would distribute our trackables.
Very cool camo shaun.rolston and tucked just enough out of the way of the house with people in the yard to be able to retrieve. The recharge table is also a good place for cachers using a smartphone to stop, log and juice up their device!
Quick and easy find on a stunning Saturday morning, great wee spot, fantastic hide. love the nearby solar charge table as well, brilliant idea! TFTC
After picking all the tabs off the nearby cans this was quickly spotted. Nice camo job but the flaking paint gave it away. Worth a fav point anyway. Thanks for the cache
I remember a few parties in this area when I was at uni, I've grown up a bit since. No worries about muggles this evening, too cold for them. Great little hide. Cheers
I was having a bad geocaching night. This was my third cache I had looked for with 2 previous DNFs. I was excited when I finally spotted something out of place!!! Woohoo! Now I can get home to the warm. TFTC Great hide.
