The clue was in the name! Neat diversion to break up our trip thanks! Swapped a treasure. TFTC
Success! Thanks for the cache! Just a heads up it's all full so might need a new one!
Had been working in Masterton for the day and heading back to Wellington Airport to fly home.
Driving back had to pick the easy park and grabs. Eventually right letter box post... and this concluded the finds for the day as I rushed to the airport.
That was about the only luck for this afternoon/evening. At the Wellington Airport the weather was WINDY and the Jetstar flight after two attempts at landing headed back to Auckland. It was ONLY when the plane was about 15 minutes away from landing in Auckland that the gate staff advised that the flight was cancelled even though it was plainly obvious on the Flight radar app

We had planned to do the Pylon caches early in the morning but the weather had turned for the worse and the forecast for the morning looked iffy so we made the call to head towards home, this one was a bit of a temptation along the way, quick zip in and out of the road.

Out in Kaitoke for meetings, quick PnG on the way back to Wellington. Cheers
Back in NZ from Perth for Christmas/NY. Staying with family in Kaitoke and knew I needed to get this one before I left. Looked around the wrong host for a bit before changing tactics and securing the find. Tftc!
I left Wellington today heading to Pahiatua, so this was a stop along the way. The hint can refer to a couple of places, so I had to make the rounds before I got to the right one. TFTC.
Found after a lovely visit to Ashton a Norwood with Piwaka54. All good and lots of swag! Nice to see. Log is full but found bit to sign.
Almost didn't find it but decided just before driving away to have another look, glad I did as I found it! TFTC
Travelling down to Wellington for a few days and stopped the night here at Kaitoke park. Hadn’t planned to spend long here but there was so much to do that we just stayed on. This ended up being a walk and grab. Much easier then trying park and grab with a camper van. Cache and log all fine. Thanks for the smiley.
On a road trip around the lower North Island and picked this one up heading from Featherston to Paraparaumu. Good spot, TFTC
Picking up a few caches on our way home after the long weekend. Quick find.
Thanks!
Thanks!
Found, heading home from Martinborough after a birthday weekend and watching the football, family sitting in the car. Nice hide, thanks boxhill.
A quick find with Flowerydaze after hunting for caches after the Matariki event. Yet another in this series....how many more? TFTC boxhill.
A quick find with Talla64 whilst out looking for the newly published Matariki caches. Thanks for the cache boxhill.
On my way back from Wairarapa but there is still plenty of time in hte dayso I am heading back to Kaitoke. But Ididn't realise I was doing that till I stiopped herer for this cache.Nice easy find.
I am tired of my streak. Of getting out and getting just one cache. It gets boring. Or something. So today I headed away from Wellington (away from my store of caches-for-my-streak) to the Wairarapa to get a bunch more. Maybe even ten. Maybe even more! Woohoo!

Difficult parking but a quick and easy find with @peadub. Left a trackable here. Signed log and replaced where found. TFTC.
Mum is helping me log all my caches that I haven't logged yet.Found with Mum (LL113) and 2 of my sisters Gabzter13 and MomsOB and my nephew.
A day trip to the Rapa to collect the GeoTour caches. Travelling with UnicornLex, Gabzter13 and MomsOB (who we have just introduced to Geocaching today and she is hooked! ).
Easy park n grab on the way home

With the prospect of a nice long weekend available, I decided to spend a day or two over in the Wairarapa chasing archived Skindo puzzle caches and any other caches I would be passing right by including this one.
It is rare these days for me to head over the Rimutaka Hill, so I thought it would be a great chance for me to stop and try to get the few easy access caches on this trip. This was effectively a nice and easy park 'n' grab. No issues at all here, so once signed everything was replaced as found and I was back on my way again.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache, and Happy New Year to you.

Driving back over the hill and I noticed we were on 949... told the Mr I wouldnt be sleeping tonight unless he stopped the car! Found quickly and I'll sleep well on 950.
Nothing like cache in hand (immediately) on a country road and someone stops you to ask if you've found the cache...
Looking in the right spot always helps with caching

Captain’s log Stardate 2020.5. It is now 49 days since we entered the zone of darkness. We have stopped engines while we seek a defense against the enemy. Tomorrow we can safely encounter Level 2. Let’s go caching again..
You should NOT be out Geocaching while the COVID19 lockdown is on. This is totally irresponsible. The only travel you should be undertaking is to obtain essential supplies, and you should not be touching shared surfaces. You risk catching the virus, you could also pass it on to someone else.

Day four of my road trip from Auckland to Nelson in my newly acquired convertible cachemobile. Finding a few caches along the way. After spending the morning in the countryside around Masterton / Carterton / Martinborough, it was time to head to Petone and my motel for the night. A slight deviation from my route brought me to this cache. Found in the first place I checked. TFTC, Biggles.
Out exploring Kaitoke today. Made the quick grab while in the area. Thanks for the cache.
Nice little park and grab. Took more time trying to find a viable place to park haha. TFTC, greetings from Auckland
Park’n’grab post Rivendell climb — well, my driver parked while I grabbed. Cheers boxhill!
8015. A quick park and grab on the way from Carterton to Wellington. Thanks. Rodney and Iris.
This is private property can you please stop searching around it and disturbing the dogs thank you
Day 1 of Wellington Mega
Today's mission was to register, collect lab caches, other events and hopefully 11 different cache types in 1 day.
Tall order but we made it with a few minutes to spare.
We also collected other caches that we had solved prior to coming.
Turned into a bit of a day so sorry for the copy and paste of logs.
Thanks to the cache owners for the placement of these caches.
Looking at the greater picture of the Wellington area we have only scratched the surface so will be back at some stage. SLTFTC

WENZ Mega Weekend is finally here... After experiencing broken sleep at our accommodation, it was time to pull it together and get out there... With Gap (of Fap and Gap) and NZFlossy...
Saturday: Some more finds to carry us over to the next event. We still had time on our side, but the next few finds needed to be quick ones... TFTC.

Day Nine of a 12 day, 3000 km road trip around the North Island with the primary objectives being the Taupo Ultra Marathon on the 13th and my first ever caching Mega event in Wellington on the weekend of 20th & 21st. With thousands of possibilities for caches to look for on the way, I had to be very selective and decided to concentrate on special types, solved puzzles, ones that would fill missing spots in my statistics grids and those with good numbers of favourite points, plus maybe a few extras that were close by those.
Today was Mega event day and we concentrated on events round Upper Hutt, the lab caches and others to fill spots in the Jasmer grid. A bit cooler today, but still no sign of any rain to interfere with caching activities.
Headed out to do the Kaitoke event and one for my Jasmer grid, so had to get a few extras while here. Pulled into the side road, where parking wasn't the easiest, but luckily the cache was quickly found, so I wasn't there for too long. TFTC

Out and about on a cache run with G2, Indianna Jill, Renelm, FMZ, Slieschke, lots of MEGA fun. No problems with the find TFTC.
We had waited for twelve months for this weekend, we first heard about the event when we were at the Geofest in Oamaru. From that moment on we were committed to coming to Wellington to attend what turned out to be a Mega event.
Neither of us have ever spent anytime in or around Upper Hutt, so the playing board is totally full for us, it was a bit overwhelming where to start. We came to attend a nearby event. So while in the area we picked up a few traditionals and decided that this is an area we would like to visit again one day in the future. We were surprised at how many people were camping in the area, we thought they would be pleased with the weather. Although a bit later we had a sample of Wellington wind.
We drove a wee bit further up the road finding a few traditionals while we were here, before needing to head back towards Upper Hutt to attend the Falsh Mob event.
I went to the wrong post when I heard GK ask if I would like to use the cache he had in his hand. Yep that will do.
Thank you for placing the cache and of course thank you for the smilie

Attending the mega with TeamBOP. Great time to catch up with other cachers and visit Wellington lLots of fun and laughs while finding lots of great caches Thanks to all the COs for providing all the caches and the work that goes into them. Signed logs as Team BOP to save space and time for us . Sorry for the generic logs will try to add to them once back home Thanks
We decided we would travel to WENZMEGA via the Wairarapa and return via the Akatarawas, caching along the way, but in a reasonably leisurely, pick and choose kind of way.
We had a beautiful day for our southward travels through the Wairarapa and over the Rimutakas.
Travelling was fairly easy until we began the ascent of the Rimutakas and found ourselves joining a continuous queue of vehicles travelling in both directions for the whole of the crossing. Turns out an accident earlier had caused delays and the consequent backlog of traffic took a while to sort out. We curtailed plans for any caches that would have necessitated trying to cross the traffic. This was our first stop. There was more than one likely object to check but the cache was soon located. Heading for home now but time for a few more finds. The GPS initially led us a bit of a dance but by looking at the surroundings the cache was soon in hand - - - by which time the GPS agreed completely. TFTC .
On our way back after a brilliant few days caching in the Wairarapa - even manged to follow in your footsteps for a few! Third of this series we picked up on this trip. TFTC # 12,833

I took my youngest son up to Wellington in the camper van. I dropped him off at his friend's house where he will stay. Meanwhile I get to geocache and be on standby.
After staying at Greytown and spending another day in the Wairarapa, it was time to head to The Hutt area.
Well I am back on the other side. Another one in this Boxhill series. I dropped off a travel bug and now for the dreaded u turn.
