Third time.....unlucky again. Last log 12/8. Going back again before leaving...watch this space...
Was in the area for school holidays so though we would do some geocaching. But this one we could not find. We searched all the trees in the area but no luck at all.
We thought we would have a try despite previous DNF on 12/8. But this was a DNF for us also and the first DNF for quite a long time. At least we had a chance to study the bats whilist the muggles passed by!
#28 Fun, quick find. It was easy for my new to geocaching friends to find. Left something, took nothing. TFTC
A quick find but definitely needed a second look at the likely spot before I laid eyes on it. TNLN TFTC
On this overcast winters day it was still fine enough to head out and do some caches in the area. There were two likely looking places to inspect once we got to GZ and then we had to look a little higher. Tftc
Out and about caching with CAD ... Soon had cache in hand - great hide in a great tropical location ... Bats bats and more bats! T4TC:)

Spent a while before finally setting on the correct GZ and the illusive cache. Quiet today but kept on worrying about the car next to me whose fan kept on cutting in and out. TFTC Fingers60.
This one took ages. Our GPS kept pointing us all over the place and we were looking in the wrong places. We really are not fans of bats so were quite happy to find this one, log it and get out of there! TNLNSL TFTC
Happy to go down and make sure this hasnt gone for a walk, as it was very obvious.
Arrived at the Noosa Caravan Park yesterday for a couple of days R & R and of course some Geocaching as well.
The only DNF today while being driven around by CDHA55, oh it does make life easy traveling around with someone who knows the area. He was not much help with finding the caches, just smiled.
CDHA55 is a previous finder and he couldn't locate it, may I suggest that the CO take a look at this one

Found it raising minimal suspicion from muggles even though there are heaps around. A bit worried about the wasp nest nearby though......
Found it based on the comments below.
Beware of the wild life. The wife got stung by the wasps in the tree...
But it's all about the find

The geowife was feeling poorly this morning and, by lunchtime, I was sick of sitting around the unit so I asked who wanted to come and find some geocaches. Miss 10 was the only one interested so off we went.
We initially began checking the wrong tree before we realised that there was another tree close enough for a much better match for the GPS. We wandered over to it and I immediately saw a head disappear into a hole in the trunk. At first I thought it was a lizard but as I watched it I realised that it was coiled up inside the tree. I took a few photos of it as it moved around and then it disappeared further inside the tree. I was loathe to investigate the tree too much further knowing that there was a snake inside it.
I would post a photo but an hour or so later my phone went for a swim in a creek so I'm not sure if I'll be able to access the photos.

Attempted this during the night. Few spiders around, but found it none the less. Thanks!
Looked for a good 25 minutes and couldn't find it, had to jump out cause of a huge wasp nest on the tree
TFTC this is our 2nd try with this one and it was' do we try our don't we' but we decided to and we were glad we did. TNLNSL
2nd time lucky. Yahoo. Didn't take too long this time. It helps if your at the right tree. Tnlnsl tftc

I think this is the 3rd time I've attempted this one. The other times, I was unable to complete my search due to muggles hanging around their cars.
This time, pretty soon the coast was clear although still full of cars. I checked one tree 1st, couldn't see it, so over to the other - gps being a bit vague. One step up, reach around and finally spotted it - wedged with logbook separate from container and all in plastic zip lock bag.
Quick sign while the noisy bats chattered overhead. Managed to fit the new log book into the container and replaced in its spot.

Love the little log book! After a fab morning doing school holiday activities we decided to sneak in a find. We left a little something. TFTC!
Found at 1425.
This cache had me barking up the wrong tree for a while. Mr. Garmin said THAT tree, so I looked everywhere, went around in circles and generally got the sh!ts
I resorted to PAF and his clue made me look in ANOTHER tree!
Easily found when you are in the right spot!

This is a great hide. Found it quite challenging to find though as there are many possibilities of where it could be, must have looked for 20 minutes! Nice little hidey hole!! TFTC
GPS was jumping heaps here from the shade coverage probably. Found tftc

Find number 29 and a VERY sneaky one. Bats were chattering away. Off to find our 30th now TFTC
Found this one with a big fat leech attached to it!! Lots of bats in the trees, amazing sight for us kiwis! TFTC
Circled around and around for this one but we did eventually catch on, nice little hiding spot! TFTC
Visiting Noosaville for the day, we've been to this great library before but never grabbed the cache.
After reading a few misleading logs, I made it to the right elevation and there it was. The zip lock bag is doing a great of keeping the container wet .
The kids lived all the racket the Bats were making, TFTC

Tayla and daddy found it while on holidays. Grandma with us for her first cache also.
Bats everywhere just like temple of doom

This was almost a park and grab, reachable without leaving he car - almost. Log was damp so added a piece of paper to sign. Could see all the bats hanging around. Thanks for a cache in great location.
Came with dad. Looked in every nook and cranny of every tree that looked like the ones in the photos until found.
Wow never seen bats before so was a great spot to bring this NZ family. Easy find but didn't like seeing spider nearby. TFTC
Couldn't believe the number of bats in the nearby swamp, millions!! Used our heads and turned up the prize in a few minutes. Thnx fingers60
Well hidden cache, no Koalas today but the smelly flying fox colony were very noisy. Thanks
Inice easy one. Dropped the log out of hole in bag. We would have replaced the bag but didn't have a spare one. TFTC
George George George of the jungle strong as he can be, watch out for those trees
Phone had me between both trees. Searched both but could not see. Thanks anyway
Had fun doing this one. This also brought me to a spiritual seminar in the Library. Stayed there for a few more hours than expected
Another nice find today while caching around the area with Just-Lookin.
SL Thanks for the fun!
