This geocacher reported that this geocache should be archived. A community volunteer reviewer has been notified.
We were passing by and had one more look but nothing found except a possible hiding spot. Bats have gone, whew!
Found a few great spots to put a cache but nothing's on there. Might need to be checked tftdnf
Parked close by and emerged from the car to a chorus of fruit bats. Walked along the path to GZ but just had a quick squiz before we got bombed bu bat poop. Holy crap Batman! Didn't see anything here. Like another has said, could it be checked on please or maybe archived as its not a very pleasant place to be searching.
Sad to see this park overrun by bats. No good for me today. Disturbed the locals and bolted before being guano'd on...
We will be passing by at the end of the month and this cache looks like it is need of a check by the CO as it hasn't been found in 5 months with at least 3 DNF's.
I was hoping to get a few caches to help with my 'averages', but this ended up being the 3rd DNF of the trip to the Hunter. Like Code1, I found a potential hide - empty. Could you please check on it if that sounds like 'the spot'.
Searched for a while, in the dark, and eventually found a place that would fit one nicely but the door was missing and the cupboard was empty.

I didn't realise there was suppose to be bats here till I just read other logs. I was surprised that the cache was still here as I had saved this into my phone 400 days ago and had no recent logs to confirm it was still here. Very pleased to find the sneaky one. Log too full. TFTC Mr&Mrs Mayers
Far too batty for us to persevere with search. Could imagine this would be a very pleasant park without them - maybe the cache was laid prior to their taking over. It'd be OK if they just slept (thought they were supposed to do that during daylight hours).
Found but didn't like this one. Got eaten alive by mozzies and not real keen on being under pooing bats.
Tftc. Our third of the day and OMG! As we approached ground zero from around the lake and seeing geese, ducks and other bird life we were wondering what was making all that noise. We couldn't believe how many flying foxes were here. We certainly didn't expect to see them so close to such a built up area. Sneaky little cache was found with a little disturbance to the residents, but they settled down quickly. Thanks for bringing us here.
didn't quite see it at first but it was clever hide, a quick stroll around the park and i was off again. thanks for the cache.
Found this one after a little search. Bats galore and we disrupted them with our search. Log full. Squashed name in-just. Tftc.
One of the most bizarre cache locations in my life. Completely Batty. Thanks for finding and sharing this spot.
I have never seen so many bats hanging outdoors in one area before. Had to come back with my good camera to take picks. We are traveling with family and stopped at Mac to have lunch and I ran across the street to make this grab and was amazed by the covered trees. T- lots of pics of the bats. L- back to eat lunch and fav point for bringing me here. TFTC. Peace

Had just been out to Medowie and stopped by on the way back here to look for this one. After waiting for the group of young muggles to leave the area I walked in to find the cache straight away the first spot I looked. But alas the log is completely full had trouble finding place to write where my pen would work.
Thanks Mr&MrsMayers for placing this cache and for the nice walk dodging the mozzies.

On a 2 week holiday and today travelling from Maitland to Kempsey. Of course we had to do some caches, eh. We stopped here and we stopped there to locate those caches wherever they were placed. I apologise for the generic log, however each of the ones found, were great in their own way. Thanks to the CO's of the caches for placing them where they were. A good location for a cache.TFTC
TFTC, did'nt see it at first and then I actually sat my coffee on top of the cache hide, then i saw it.
I was in the area for orienteering with the map being the king park area and this park area. The start was on the other side of the pond. I ran to within 20m of the area during the event. after my run i wondered over and spotted the GZ and then the cache very quickly. i thought my pen was good at writing on this paper however it wasn't working very well at all. i managed to make some kind of mark however it wasn't very legible. We had travelled up from Sydney to Port Stephens, camping at the Lemon Tree Passage Big4 Koala Shores caravan park, for our annual summer holiday. But now, after eight fun filled days of swimming, bushwalking and caching, we are finally on our way back to Sydney. But the caching frenzy isn't quite over yet, with stops at Medowie and Raymond Terrace planned for the way home. This was the 7th find of the day, 65th find of the holiday.
Parked the geomobile & camper trailer on the side of Seaham Road, alongside the park, and headed over to GZ. Spotted the cache container as we approached GZ. We suspect that there was once some external camo covering it, as some small part is still present above the hide, but the top of the container is now exposed. TNLNSL and then replaced as found. TFTC.

After a quick stroll around the park I was a little worried if this survived the big wet. It was soon discovered and log signed, a few mozzies were slapped in the process. TFTC

Found it. On way to frying pan when we decided to stop off and get at least one. Hidden little gem. Was a bit perplexed then the light bulb went off a second later... Straight to it. Tftc!
En route to find Frying pan, our trip had been planned for several months to locate this great piece of caching history. We were headed to the state forest camping ground for the weekend with Snoopy1976' Dave8153, Spy79, 4 geodogs and myself for some camping hiking and adventure.
Very sneaky, had us stumped briefly, the suction also caused a drama fir us too.
Spy79 came up with the find.
Here have a fav.

Found # 230 on the way home from horse riding. nice neat fit, hard to remove with big fingers working against the wet suction pulling it back in. TFTC
Wedding over and it's time to head towards sunny QLD & home.

Having attended a wedding at Mount Annan, in NSW, it was time to head back to QLD.
Wedding done & dusted we hightailed it north for sunnier climes!
Raymond Terrace was our stopover last night so a few local caches were a must before putting some miles behind us! LOL ...

Took an afternoon trip from Clarence Town (where I am staying) to Raymond Terrace to top up the car with petrol for the trip back to Sydney tomorrow. This was the first of four finds on a return trip via Hinton. On a walk around the lake to get to GZ was impressed with the large variety of bird life using the water. Then the cache was hidden well. Retrieved, signed log and replaced. tftc
A pleasant stroll around the lake, avoiding the mud, until I reached GZ. Knowing that it was a micro really only made the search easier as there is only one logical spot. And the container was quickly un covered. TNLNSL TFTC
A pity about the state of the park. It could really do with some TLC from Council or Landcare.

We thought we saw the cache early on, but looked around for a while before returning and discovering how to access the log, although MrsFish was more interested in the Spoonbills nearby. Thanks for a great hide, a nice idea.

We regretted not having our caching toolkit with us at this one. Just when we thought we'd have to walk back & fetch it, Canary managed to get the log out.
Thanks

We parked the car around the corner and walked into the park with hundreds of bats flying in the trees above us. I was concerned that we might get peed on. We managed to avoid that before finding the cache, but both Toriaz and I had unpleasant droplets land on our arms as we made our way back to the car. Eeww!!!
A quick find today after purchasing lunch nearby. Nice to sit in the park with the kids and watched Pelicans and a massive group of fruit bats. TNLN TFTC
The eighth cache on my northern road trip with bikerbuddy and Toriaz.
The bats here reminded me of The Wizard of Oz movie!
Toriaz soon spotted the hide and I made the retrieval.

Got it while up at the Terrace, still there but took some time to extract it from it's home

Headed over to Raymond Terrace to do some shopping, and picked up a few caches.
Murray was found nice and dry, but his camo has come away. CO may need to check.
Many thanks for placing this cache, Mr&MrsMayers, for us and others to find.

Homeward bound from the QLD Mega Event. As I approached GZ I was attacked by a swarm of mozzies. They don't usually bother me but theses did (Hexam Greys?). A clever hide. TNLN, SL. Visited some TB's. TFTC Mr&MrsMayers.
The family had a trip planned to Gloucester to do some camping. I decided this was a great opportunity to grab some geocaches so I decided to join them in the hope of cleaning out Gloucester and finding some geocaches along the way also.
Raymond Terrace was a bit of a detour for me but with a few geocaches on offer I couldn't resist taking the turn off.. This was the first one for me to attempt and as I was in a hurry I didn't read the description. I parked across the road and started walking along the path. Unfortunately for me as I got to GZ I noticed some people walking with kids behind me. I decided to do a walk past and go check out other areas of the park whilst they were taking there time.
I sat down at the table and was hammered by mozzies!! They were everywhere and I must have looked like a fool squatting at them all whilst I was sitting down. I can't handle mozzies anymore!! loll I've done way too many geocaches where there are lots of mozzies, to the point that I'd probably prefer leeches over mozzies now.
When the family had finally gone I walked back to GZ and grabbed the cache from the hiding spot that I had previously spotted. I took it to another table and was hammered by mozzies again. No wonder nobody uses this park!! There are way too many mozzies and it wouldn't be an enjoyable experience to spend more than 10 minutes here.
After signing the log and getting attacked by mozzies I placed the cache back into position and made my way back to the car.
TFTC Cheers

Day 12 of my epic northern adventure and it was time to start slowly winding my way home. With the MEGA event in Stanthorpe over for another year, Jamin Appleford and I had some select caches to find on the way including some very old caches from 2000 and 2001.
Gradually continuing our way towards home, this was next on the list. We had to drive a bit out of the way to get this one, but with time on our hands, why not..
Thanks to Mr&MrsMayers & Jadenflair for the cache. TNLN

Yay STF! After a very brief look for a nano on a gun nearby, I came to this park. I had been here years ago on the other side of the water for another well hidden cache. This time there were even more geese (which are somewhat frightening) and I parked near them opposite the cricket field and walked the way around towards the main road to the start of the bike path (not a road as I thought about driving in on it, which would not had ended well). There was one person at the table closest to GZ, but had their back to me as I searched. First I found a black box full of syringes (an insulin pack?), then I moved back to the coordinates and something caught my eye. It was the cache. After signing I continued my way around the pond (and had a look at the half container of the old archived cache), before upsetting the geese (by going close to them, as that is where my car was) and leaving. I got distracted by the actual cache and forgot to throw out the needle pack, so could the next finder or CO dispose of them if still there.
Thanks for the walk, hide and cache!
