Hi 2y'stassies. Today we found your cache on the Devo trip for the year. VK7HCH and I hatched yet another plan to whip it up to the north to continue our plundering of caches both GC and GCA. As there are so many caches in this area we had freedom of choice to do those we wished to. We have solved a few puzzles so we can find those and lots of others. Although I didnt find the girl U want, the caches were enough. Its a beautiful world here in Tassie. Thanks for hiding the cache for us to find today. Finding this cache takes my GC finds to 5271 and I found it on Saturday 26 Oct 2024FTF: NoMates: VK7HCHMuggles: Condition: GoodWeather: darkMy favorites:Creative - Back to the future 1 by peaches (GCA5JYD)Hardest - Men in Black Holes by SG-3 (Archived)Most visited - Dragons Lair by Shagzter (GC2E33)Tractable also visited your cache
Thanks 2y'stassies for placing Waiting For The Ferry: Mersey Yacht Club. Swampy and I headed back to plunder more of the Northern coast over the Hobart Show long weekend. 4 day long weekend for 1 days annual leave. Sweet. This is day 4. We are heading for Launceston via Port Sorell. At least my log is not full of bad 80s references. This run has us finding both GC and GCA caches. So many caches, so little time. This is my GC find #2211 and was found on 27/10/2024 at 07:02FTF: Found with: SwampyWeather: fairMuggles: noneLight level: goodCache condition: goodDistance from GZ: Your cache was visited by my trackables: TB9QQD2, TB9KZ39 and TB7HH81
We are back in Devonport for a while before heading to the UK in November for Xmas. So what better thing to do than find caches we either dnf or couldnt look for last time. Plus there are some we didnt have time for.Last time here there was a lady camping right at GZ with 2 scary dogs so we turned on our heels. Today was able to make an unobserved find. TFTC 2ystassies
Doing all the rest of caches in East Devonport Thanks For The Cache INFORMATIONSearch (EST)/SL Time:30S/14:30TODAY FINDS/DNF:1/1Finder Note: All SYSTEMS GO ON THIS CACHE!
This morning we did a maintenance run on some caches from the "Waiting For The Ferry" series. Of the seven we checked, all were in place and in good condition (except for one having a spilt plastic bag). This cache was exactly where it should have been. This area has heavy overhead foliage. Hence, those using phones should widen their search area and focus on locations consistent with the hint.
Still in place and waiting to be found. Please refer to Owner Maintenance log for details.

We couldnt look for this one as there was a stealth camper with two scary dogs camped right at GZ. Will leave this one for our return to Devonport TFTH
After lunch my three muggle friends joined me to search for this cache before heading to a nearby event. They can’t believe the things I do to find a cache

Thanks for the cache 2y'stassies.
I've driven past the access to this cache a couple of times over the past few days but due to the roadworks on River Rd (which often involved quite a bit of a wait) I hadn't been able to get to the desired parking area. Today I was heading in the right direction, and it was pretty quiet so I made my way to access this cache.
This took a few minutes to spot, but cache is there, and in a spot as described in the hint.

After locating 2 other caches during a walk, The X-Trailers and I decided to have another go here. A quick find today and cache all ok. Thought we had searched this spot thoroughly but hadn't spotted until today. TFTC
Our second attempt at this cache . I am sure we searched there last time . Today liz, found it

After 10 minute search with The X-Trailers we decided the cache not found by us. Need a Vito here as at least 24 cans lying around
We are starting to change our caches to Premium Only because we have become increasingly frustrated with some finders who
* have logged a find without signing the logbook
* not taken care by replacing the camo after finding a cache
* shifting the location of a cache to "an easier find"
These unthinking actions have resulted in a significant increase in maintenance, time we could better use for caching.
We had deliberately made our caches available to all who want to cache but as some are not showing respect, we are reluctantly changing many to Premium Only. We apologise to those responsible cachers who are not Premium Members but we have reached the tipping point.

Thanks Monks55 for your message that the cache was out in the open. We have been today and changed the hide location. The hint has changed but the coordinates have not been changed.
Found with Monks 55. Yes, we are killing time until the ferry arrives... thanks for placing these caches.
Coordinates pretty well spot on for me.
From clue I figured I had to be in the correct place.
Had another think and it all made sense

The hide has been compromised and is no longer appropriate. Not surprising that the cache is missing given the situation. We have relocated the cache a short distance away and the coordinates and hint have been updated.
Coordinates changed from:
S 41° 11.322 E 146° 22.156

Distance from original: 23.1 feet or 7.0 meters.

I popped down to the ferry terminal tonight to pick up my laptop that I left on board a few days ago.
Quick find here in the dark. All good.
Cheers.

Thanks for the cute cache, beautiful and easy hide, easy directions. Great location on the banks of the Mersey.
Popped in to drop a TB off, hoping it will get to travel to the big island on the Big Red Boat, or maybe even a yacht from the Mersey yacht club. It’s in a race to get to Queensland before some other TB’s released at the same time, so if you find it please help it on its way. TFTC 2y’stassies. A quick find.
Loving doing this cool series.
Hoping to have them all by today / afternoon [Tuesday 23 March 2021]
Found this one in great shape and log signed at 15:09 as the first spots of rain started

Our first Tassie cache, just off the ferry. Visiting from North Queensland T4T$
A nice quick find in a favourite place. This is where Mr & Mrs Coder had there wedding reception, just short of 10 years ago! We sailed away on a beautiful old tug boat!
It was also the place we had our first “date”, the morning after we met (the night before). We sat on the marina tinkering with MrCoders yacht & talked all day. Such special memories.

We checked this morning and the cache had gone missing. We looked in the immediate area but could not find it. So we have replaced the cache. Please recover the cache very well after your find. Thanks Happy Wandrian for letting know.
This was Suscoe's final day staying in Devonport, so we decided to find a few caches before we had to head off along the highway.
We were not waiting for the Ferry today but we could see how this would be a great way to spend a few hours before departure. We also took on a few other caches in the East Devonport area.
It was a lovely sunny day with a seabreeze at times keeping things pleasant, but in some areas the sea breeze disappeared and it was warm.
Thanks to the 2y'stassies for this hide. We could see a few yachts along the river and we suspect this would be a busy place sometimes.

Nearly back at the wounded Skooby now after a big week of 4wding on the west coast, and this was the last cache on our short stroll from the CBD.
Both our phones were nearly flat so we got a fair idea of GZ then used the force, which went quite well and we quickly signed our lives away in the log book.
Now off to the ferry.
