This was the last cache I found on my way to CCC#61. I had to drive past the event venue to get to this cache, so saying this cache was "on the way" is a bit of a stretch, however knowing how good the CO's hides are, there was no way I could pass this one up. TFTC Calypso62.
Found while working in arcadia! Lovely spot next to the fire station. The rain came in while i was searching, so ran back to the car after making the find tftc
Came here for a quick grab before the CCC event. I didnt have much time for caching this afternoon so it was a welcome sight at GZ when I saw Louie. Funny little bugger! All quiet at the oval today and the sun had ducked behind some clouds TFTC
Got it eventually. The GPS had us looking in quite the wrong direction, but when we widened our search, we found it. Worried that it might wriggle, but fortunately it didnt. TFTC
That's magic. I was over there, turned and saw it. Got me Mortein out. Louie and his mates scattered. Another fav for artistic merit. TFTC.
TFTC and favourite for me. After finding this cache Tina Arenas song is out of my mind but Louie the Fly lyrics are playing over and over. I prefer Tina Arena, not as annoying LOL. Ive given you a favourite as I love what I found. It would look good with my butterfly.
Nice little walk Into the bush not to far inTFTC favourite point from me for something a little different:)
Streak Day #3684 - Out for a sat arvo drive with Dave8153 for our cache of the day. This one was a quick find for us today. Glad to turn this one into a smiley 7 years later. TFTC

Love it! I was unsure as I ventured into the scrub, but then ... there was Louie Thanks for another piece of fun, Calypso.
Oh so worthy of the favourite points it has gained, so I added another. Look the concept. Funny how geocaches has a habit of returning you to familiar locations. I did a two dogs cache out here in the very early days of geocaching, 2002 to be exact, one of my first dozen I think.
I found Louie just hanging about, what a lovely park and so quiet, I stood looking skyward for this pesky fly and then out of the corner of my eye I spotted dear old Louie...... I loved this cache...... and I still remember the song ....every word......
Louie is still hanging strong, nice container I love it the creativity.

Nice camouflage. The terrain was a little more difficult than expected with recent growth. TFTC.
Came to the area for some orienteering and dropped by this cache. Nicely placed. Impressive container!
Needed a find to let Signal escape and this was the only one nearby with the FP requirements.
Parked up in the dark and walked across the oval. It has been so long since I’ve seen the stars like this - I took a photo of the Scorpius constellation.
Got to the bush edge and used my torch to find a way in. At gz it was an easy find. Harder to get the log out. Signed the log and observed the eerie sounds around me.
TFTC!!

Driving passed and stopped off to make a quick find at of Louie who was just hanging around at GZ. With the cache in hand, we signed the log and returned as found. Both the cache container and log are in excellent condition. Thanks for the cache Calypso62.

Wow! What made me look there!! Must've heard some buzzing. What awesome camo. This is definitely my favourite so far. Thank you Calypso62. I owe you a coffee:)
On my way down to catch the ferry across while doing a circuit to grab some of Rama497's new caches/series.
Spotted this and saw an easy terrain and difficulty so decided to stop by and grab Louie as well.
After squelching across the oval I located an entrance way.
Pity I didn't have my Mortein today, but luckily I didn't need it.

Now that the NSW Government is beginning to ease lockdown restrictions, it’s time to bring my caches back into play.
Just a reminder, a fundamental rule of geocaching is that, in order to be able to log a cache find online, you must retrieve the cache container and sign the physical log located in that container. Failure to comply may result in your online log being removed.
I know the Covid virus is still about so please take precautions to keep yourself and those around you from harm by doing things such as wearing gloves to handle geocaches as well as using hand sanitiser regularly.
Keep safe everyone and enjoy your geocaching activities.
Cheers,
Calypso62

The Covid situation in Greater Sydney is still critical. As a result, this cache remains disabled for the time being. I'm monitoring the situation and will bring the cache back online when appropriate to do so.
To help stop the spread of Covid-19, the NSW Government has ordered everybody to stay at home unless you are: shopping for essentials, receiving medical care, exercising or travelling to work or education.
While some people would regard going geocaching as a form of exercise, it is my personal opinion that this activity is a non-essential one, perhaps involving unnecessary travel and therefore should not be undertaken during this time of crisis.
Who knows how long this current lockdown will last! Right now, every one of us has an important part to play in helping to keep our families, friends and the wider community safe in the fight against the spread of Covid-19, by staying home.
As a result of the health authority’s directive, I have decided to disable this cache and respectfully request that no person seek out and claim a find whilst this cache is disabled.
Thank you for your cooperation. I look forward to bringing my caches back into play as soon as the health crisis abates.
Regards,
Calypso62

Not sure if I found it in the spot where it was meant to be, but left it where it was just in case, coz he looked pretty cute there. So did this stray cacher I found while searching
Wandered all around. Figured it had to be in the bush because of the leech comment. Very cute.
Having found all of today's targeted caches in Fagan Park, I headed off towards Berowra Waters ferry for the journey home, stopping off to attempt this one on the way past. While there were lots of cars parked next to the road, I didn't encounter any muggles as I made my way across the field to Louie's domain. By the way, my father's name was Louis so naturally he got a lot of ribbing whenever that TV commercial came on.
As I approached GZ I spied what was likely to be the hiding place and, oh wow, what awesome camo! This one definitely gets an FP, even though as I was signing the log Louie's mate Lenny the Leech tried to exsanguinate my foot. Many thanks for a fun hide to cap off an enjoyable day of caching.

I haven't been disappointed by a Calypso62 cache yet, and this one is no exception. Coords spot on & cute camo. Fave point awarded.
Found easily... Haven't seen a cache like this before. Nice one. Crispy new log sheet!
Found with Chippyddd and georabbit. Cache and log book are dry. No room for SWAPS or drops. Nil TBs. Sl TFTH TFTC Replaced cache as found ready for the next cacher. Thanks and cache on.
Found alongside my Geo Buddy Mystic Seer.
The coords are spot on to the area and the cache is quite unique, very clever indeed, the first that I have seen of it's kind.
Thanks goes to the CO for this cache and bringing us to this location.

Today we headed over to Fagan Park at Galston for the Adventure Lab and other caches located within the park. Took a circuit route to the park, travelling via the Berowra Waters car ferry on the way over, and via Galston Gorge for the return journey. This was the 2nd of 11 finds for the day.
Parked at the RFS fire station and headed off to GZ, where we quickly spotted the nicely theme matched cache camo. TNLNSL, and then replaced as found. Cache was in good order, but we were a little surprised that the internal log container was not attached to the camo, so it could easily fall out if the camo is disturbed. TFTC Calypso62.

We spent the day driving the Convict Road, to show my Dad some of the constructions during his visit, and find some caches. We managed a dozen, 9 GC and 3 GA finds, with just one DNF for a great day in this spectacular region.
We weren't sure about this, we were after some quick finds on the way to Berowra, then noting it seemed there was no bush-bashing likely (it was raining) we went for it - spot-on coordinates helped us for a quick find. My son didn't get it though - Louie doesn't trend on youtube! TFTC!

As the NSW Government is now beginning the process of easing some of the Covid-19 restrictions, it is appropriate that my geocaches be brought back into play.
**Please Remember - It is still very important to exercise social distancing while you are out and about and to practise good hand hygiene after touching caches out in the geo-wild.

After dropping of my dog at the Calabash Dog Kennel in Arcadia, I took the opportunity to find some geocaches in this part of rural Sydney.
With temperatures already soaring over 30 degrees it was very hot so I was surprised to see a game of cricket at the nearby oval.
I walked down into bushland and went in. After obtaining a fix it showed I was 16 meters off target. Once at the true GZ I spotted Louie happily hanging around.
Thanks for the fun cache!

Saw what looked like a plastic bag under a log, thank god I didn’t try to grab it because it was a spider web. Eventually found it, TFTC
This was find No. 500 for me. I had originally planned to make K9 Capers my 500th but nature intervened and cricket was cancelled so I rearranged my day. Following other business in the district, I had intended to pick this one up (now as 499), but my phone wouldn't connect to the mobile network (even thought there are two mobile towers within sight of GZ). Even though I had my GPS, I hadn't written down the coordinates, so I headed off to another location and made another find before returning. It seems fate intervened twice to make sure this was find number 500. It certainly didn't disappoint - a very nice hide.
It wasn't until I was replacing the cache that I noticed a well camouflaged caterpillar had fallen out of the outer camo. It didn't seem fair to leave it on the ground, so I put it back inside (photo attached). Thanks for the cache C62.

Was in area tonight going for a FTF we noticed this one that we hadn't found before so of course we had to come past and Make a find. Awesome camo. Gave us good laugh. Very well done. Another fav for this CO. Never fails to disappoint TFTC
Whilst in the area this evening we came across this little unfound greenie. We scratched our heads, why have we not done this one yet? Unsolved mystery. Of course we came to check it out and alas another fantastic hide. Isn't it great to be able to do what you love in your PJs? I think so. Tftc Calypso62 another fave point from me
Nice day for a quick walk. The gps jumped around a lot but before long Louie appeared to me. A very different cache. TFTC.
Parked beside the RFS station and walked across the field towards the setting sound. At GZ we rummaged around a bit until suddenly we saw the cache, right in our face.
Was with Diggybambam when she found this. Great cache. Very creative! Logbook wet and full though.
The age has only added to the camo, saw a little snake while looking so be careful with this one great cashe
Flies and spiders and caches, oh my!
Cute hide (always an added challenge with creatures and caches that don’t live on the floor), but not one for the faint hearted, I disturbed (and then evicted) a mama spider with an egg sac from poor Louis today - she really didn’t want to go! Don’t worry, i didn’t hurt her OR or babies, just relocated to a nearby tree.

Found with WaywardWoman before the GC Christmas Event. Arrived at GZ and a quick find. Loved the cache. A fav point. Signed log and returned as found. TFTC
#4798- Jeading for the Geocaching NSW Xmas party we still have plenty of time for some caches. A short stroll across the oval- this one made me smile! Thanks

Setrite and I headed out this afternoon, trying to outrun the rain... and aiming for Berowra Waters where there was an Earthcache we still hadn't found. It being International Earthcache Day.
We were also very aware that we were in Calypso territory, and I noted where the Coffee and Conundrums Event place is... way too far for me to drive in the evenings, unfortunately - as I really really really want to work on my puzzle solving!!!
Anyway, this cache was en route and like its brother down the road a bit (The Indians) bears all the hallmarks of Mr Calypso's merry sense of humour.
His co ordinates are good too and we only had to worry about crossing the marshlands - probably usually dry ground.
Thank you, Calypso62 for this fun hide.

I’ve been working in the Arcadia area and have noticed all these caches along the way and drive past here twice a day.
This morning was the morning to find it.
I made my way into the Bush towards GZ, with all the tree cover the phone signal was a little jumpy and then I suddenly spotted something I wasn’t quite expecting. SLTNLN
What a cleverly thought about cache.

Off to Coffee, Cakes and Conundrums #16 tonight, so when an completed a few before the event.
This one was a quick find once I found it. The GPS moved around a lot and there are a lot of fallen trees.
Anyway great find and great container.

Spent some time looking around the wrong tree intitially - then dad walked over to another one ...but had head down at the gps - called out to him to look up and in a snap he was face to face with dear louie! What a cute camo ;p TFTC!
What a brilliantly cool camo . Indeed, was looking down at my GPs to get a better fix on GZ (which I apparently triangulated and transfixed with the precision of a Swiss watch) ….. when SSSonya called out and I was literally eye-to-eye with Louie . Thanks for a great cache with "character", Calypso62 … a fav point from me
Love it when the unexpected happens.
Spent time looking low in all the likely spots.
Then suddenly Louie appeared. Scared the crap out of me.
Thanks for the cache
