The cache is still there it is inside the po box shelter. At the bottom of the left hand row of boxes away from the opening
Out in the boondocks looking for a few caches, but unable to find this one like many before me. Maybe another day...
Mrs NZT and I decided to have a road trip day today. Left home at 6.30am (crazy I know when we are on holiday but then this is holiday enjoyment for us!!!), drove lots of kms all over the place and back home in time for dinner with a nice haul of smiles (we mostly had smiles today woohoo). No luck for us here today even with a PAF option. We enjoyed the little library (saw so many today!) and reading the previous log about the demise of the blue rooms...what a drama!
We checked all thing postal and even dialled a fiend to get some hints, but no luck here
After spending the night at a friend's house, we went for a geocaching adventure this morning. The cache could use a new logbook. First find today
Spiders are still occupying this cache but that didnt stop us retrieving the log. It has been wet so it was a struggle to get the pages open but we got there in the end
A quick park and grab on our way to Raglan with Merlot, S/N and Nette. We were able to park very close to gz. Cache was quickly located and we disturbed a couple of spiders which had made the cache their home. We stopped to check out the cute train library before continuing on our journey.
On the way to Raglan with the Westie Ladies for the day and we were coming past this one so it was m first cache of a successful day. Loved the train book library nearby
On our way to Raglan with the girls.
A quick find here. Including some medium size black spiders.
We all took photos of the wee library.

Drove over from Glen Massey to grab a couple of caches. Loved the little swap a book holder. A nice quick find with a unique container. Thanks for the cache

At first, I was drawn to the book exchange, even after I had looked at the hint!!, after a quick look at all the books, I thought id get the GPS to zero in on the hide.
That's a new way of hiding the logbook, that's for sure! Nice job!

Had a great drive today. This area I haven't been before. Love the little train library. Now for the cache. Spotted it and omg it was covered in thick webs. Hubby grabbed it out and a big black spider raced out. He starts banging it and ants scattered out and a couple small white tail spiders. Then the huge spider decided stuff this and it was out of there too. Carefully open log book and was pleased to see all residents were gone. Lol. The white tails are no longer with us...lol but allowed the big black ones to carry on. Thanks for bringing us to this spot. Tftc.
Found it with great company of Aiden29 on our way back from Hamilton area.
It took a while to find it.
A little deja-vu by the "container" with previous spot (Glen afton waikato) we`ve visited ..

I received a message from Tramyard asking if I wanted to head to the Waikato to complete a number of adventure labs around the area. Even though I was in Hamilton for work this week I didn't have a chance to travel out to attempt these ALs and as it's always fun with others I agreed to join him.
We ended up in the Hamilton Gardens and were making our way back to Huntly to complete the new adventure lab there. Tramyard suggested we take the back route and pick up one of the geotour earthcaches and a few other bonus caches along the way.
We were intrigued by the post boxes in the shelter here and thought this was a great idea for the small community. Once at GZ it didn't take too long to locate the cache.

easy find in the box. Had a good chat with the mower man doing the lawn here about caching, TFTC
Called by while having a look around the area. Enjoyed looking at the neat little library close by - someone has spent quite a bit of time putting it together and was very impressed by it. I then took a walk over to the new looking letterboxes and grab the cache soon after - all good here, TFTC.
Pulled in here to nice new post boxes, and quickly spotted something out of the ordinary....bingo, found made.
the cache is all good.
TFTC.

Couldn't find the blue rooms but only really one place it could be. A careful search on the second time and soon found the cache. Definitely a favourite. Thanks for the time making it.
Quite a unique landscape in this area. Hopefully the Bush Tramway Club succeed in building a new passenger train platform/station here.
Not sure where the blue rooms are gone but we found this cache and decided to leave a TB behind
Interesting. Quick find.
Very cool here as there is a cute Book Exchange!
Was hoping to have lunch or check out the Blue Rooms....But no longer here!
Lucky I have my own coffee and lunch

Blue Rooms are no more!
A local just told me the husband and and wife had an altercation and she burnt it down!
Also....I located the missing log book from the Glen Afton one....
It is in here too!

On a trip north with some spare time so took a caching detour. Took me a bit of time to find this. Thanks for bringing me here.

After finishing up work this morning, down South Auckland way, I decided to reward myself with a drive in the country side. Making my way back to state highway number one now. I parked up near GZ and after a brief search soon spied the nicely hidden cache. However, I didn't spot the listed TB in the cache. Had to wait out a local muggle checking here mail before returning the hide. I would have checked out the Blue Room if it was open, could have done with a bite to eat about now. Anyway, Cheers for the cache placement!
Parked right alongside GZ and made a nice quick find here. Signed log and swapped TBs. TFTC!
I had to be in Hamilton for work, so I thought I would try to grab some easy caches on the way, or with a slight detour. Thanks.
blue rooms are a bit black these days, had to explain to a muggle that was collecting his mail what i was doing but all was good, left 2xTBs
I wanted to find a key to ceremoniously open one of the boxes, but only found the cache instead. TFTC.
Nice hide! First New Zealand cache, right down the street from our cottage in Glen Afton. Thanks for the fun!
Quick find of a tidy dry cache, nice after a couple of damp or inhabited ones this morning. TFTC
1952 Spent an evening in the clubrooms. Parked my motorhome out the back. And after enjoying a good evening with some locals before crawling into bed. No mail collection today.
We spotted where we should be from the road, but also saw a local walking towards it. By the time we got near he had collected his mail and was walking back to a nearby cottage. We waited until he was out of site, then Steed made a quick find. Not what we were expecting! Also, now I've read backlogs, not where it used to live - luckily, as we didn't have the chilly bin with us!

DAY 18 - From Wellington to Auckland
The time in NZ is going to end - heading back to Auckland...
NZ is very beautiful, I really enjoyed to be there.
Took the change to grab some challenges and other caches along the route!

Another find as we head south for a few days. This was a really interesting little community and love the letter box system. Nice quick find. Thanks
Nice hide, being new to this caching sport, it's funny how often it's right under the nose of those muggles
Nice and easy. I can't recall the last time I saw something like this... Makes you wonder if people have letterboxes at their houses too... Or if there are other people hidden out in the wilderness...
Out and about this area today looking for some people so pick up some caches in the area too.
Having finished work earlier than expected today I came out here after realising a tramp up the Hakiamatas would have ended in me tramping out in the dark. I looked in some obvious places to start with, re-read the hint and then read the logs which made mention of a lack of height being an issue and references to clambering, the penny dropped and I soon had the cache in hand. Its a very good hide. I picked up the TB and will endeavor to move it along in the next week or two. TFTC
No problems with this one. Nice idea for a hide location actually, I'll have to remember that.
Left TB for someone to take towards Auckland to help it on it's journey towards the UK

On the road again... with Gap (of Fap and Gap). We are heading to the Hakarimatas to hopefully find enough terrain points to complete a Geo License Challenge. This should really test the limits... we've heard that this place has in excess of 1000 steps to negotiate. With that mission now complete, we turn our attentions to some newer caches in the surrounding areas...
We started out by looking for a key... Having the presence of mind to study the logs when all else fails proved to be the game changer. Located this one without any further issues. This would make an obvious Letterbox Hybrid cache location... TFTC

Was nearby so decided to get this cache as well today. Parked up & all was thankfully quiet at GZ. Couldn't see or feel anything obvious around the hint item, so had a check through past logs & realised that my being of hobbit stature was a distinct disadvantage here. Managed to half-climb, half-scramble up enough to reach my goal, retrieve & sign ... now to get in back in place again! Had just got back into my car after a successful replacement when someone pulled up, presumably to check their mail (didn't look like another cacher) - phew, that was close. TFTC
Out and about with HKCB tonight which turned out to be very lucky at this one. There was no way I could reach the cache with out upping the terrain or using the car as a ladder. Slight height disadvantage here. HKCB helped me grab the cache and I took the TB and we replaced the cache. Tftc
Great drive out here after work. It was nice to turn the brain off from work and just focus on the road and the scenery. I was a little worried when I neared GZ that the car I was following would stop right next to where I was going to search as it was going a little slow, but nope it just kept on going.
Pulled up to GZ and read the clue, and had an initial feel around and could find anything. Read a couple of the logs and then had a look down the back. There it was, it had fallen down. Managed to retrieve and signed the log and dropped of a TB. Worked out how it was meant to be attached and replaced so it'll be a lot easier for the next finder (if it wasn't fallen down).
Thanks for the neat placement.

FTF (FOURTH To Find) ... ha! Pulled up at GZ early in the morn to find MCC getting out of vehicle. Had to laugh. Thought he had beat me to it, only to discover 2 others logged prior. Conclusion: am certain C&D sleeps in his geovehicle, with iPhone strapped to one ear, GPS in hand and ignition switched on.
got an early wake up call with neighbourhood cats fighting outside, had a look at my phone, a geocache notification, no problem, a coffee to wake up and then head out, just down the road again, there can't be any chance of a heard of geocachers on the way back from a mission beating me to a local cache.
Took a nice easy drive out there, just got out of the car and dorsmate pulls right up, oh well I don't mind sharing a FTF, cache located in seconds, looking forward to a blank logbook.......NOT AGAIN!!!!! beaten again, how does he do it!
I know where I went wrong, I put coffee before a FTF!..........next time
I'll see you at the next event........

Found easy enough on a failed mission for a ftf.
However replacing the container where I found it it dropped down the back. I suspects it's irretrievably unable to be got at. now. Will post a needs maintenance log.
Also noticed that all previous finders have logged dates for 2014 mmmmmm......

A wee side trip on the way up to Auckland to do some caching with Cats&Dragons. I managed to drop the cache down the back but retrieved it by sitting on top of the object and reaching down. It sounds like the next finder might also have to do that after reading Pychrn's log.
Many thanks for the cache and joint FTF at 6:09 am

6.09AM with Zorgon
Zorgon and I have been planning a few caches today for a while with special DT combinations. And as I couldn't sleep it was a case of clearing emails before Zorgon was to arrive at 5.30am.
Once we set off we decided to go for this one, sure that the other local hound would have already been there. We arrived when it was still dark and soon had the cache in Hand, ha no other signature to be found, oh how thats going to piss someone off. As we had no reception we logged the ftf once back in Huntly only to get a terse message from MCC and his inability to get local FTF's.
We suggested he needed more practice or even maybe to sleep less.
Last time it was a case of taking the time to put on shoes that cost a FTF, THis time it was a coffee!!!! Oh Well Nevermind
thanks for the FTF and the placement
