No luck for us.

Second time back much colder than the last. I have a strong feeling that a muggle has taken it as we have spent another 20 or so minutes looking but still nothing. If it is still there it has beat us.

04-Jul-23
Alice_Kelly and I have tried twice in the last week and it has still evaded us, maybe we will find it some other time. I’m not sure if I’m just blind or if the cache has gone on a walk about somewhere.
Love the cow, maybe we will try again

Hi I am just wondering if you could check this cache as this is now our second time looking for it but we still can’t find it I think it has grown legs and went for a walk.

We sadly didn’t find it but than we only had a small around 10 minute look and didn’t really want to go further onto the property.

Found with goldielover today. I don't think one of the neighbours knows about this one though. She was carefully watching us.
We managed the find.

We had the opportunity to spend Easter in Stanthorpe so took advantage of the days off to find some caches while we were here. I love seeing these painted cows about the place. I don’t remember where we saw our first one but they always brings a smile. Cache was not found where we expected it to be but it was close by. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache.

Another find on Peppa and PirateLinda's Brisbane to Stanthorpe Jaunt. Well THAT was a bit of a challenge. Peppa was up early this morning to meet up with Beardman75 to have an epic adventure in Girraween National Park.
Seeing as they were driving past this one it seemed silly not to have a go at finding it.
Feedback I received later (I was the clever one still snuggled up in bed avoiding the 0⁰ temp) from them suggested they looked high and low and all around with no success.
Now it is the afternoon and Peppa and I are on our way to Beardman's Event at a local pub. Once again our route takes us right past this one - gotta give it another go.
GZ has us at a location that doesn't seem to have many hiding options. So when the neighbour opens the blinds to see what we are up to Peppa gives her a lovely wave and we hightail it out of there.
Over dinner Peppa sends out a PAF and gets a crucial bit of info.
So fast forward to now. It's dark, it's cold and we are in stealth mode. Seconds in we have the cache in hand - very, very clever - definitely a favourite point from me. Now to head off before the neighbour is alerted by our flash from the camera phone going off.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this one Granite Belt Cachers

All the logs say quick easy find but it proved to be a little more tricky for us. Thanks for the cache

Out for a Sunday drive (and it is Sunday today). The weather up until yesterday has been atrocious, and I really did not think we would get out of Warwick this weekend, let alone find at least 10 of the required 20 caches needed to get us to our milestone of 6000. But this morning we woke to a beautiful sunny autumn day, so dressed accordingly, and set off for Glen Aplin to start a caching drive home again. Coffee and Vincenco's added to the enjoyment.

We have vetted thiss location quite a few times as we have passed through town, but today, finally came up with the goods.

Thanks Granite Belt Cachers for the hide and a great drive. Favourite point for today's fun.

Cache #5989. If I can find 10 between now and 27th May, #6000 will be my Milestone party (6000 Milestone Party Event Cache GC9TJ44 ) on 28th May

This was our first geocache, found it with my two nieces and they loved it!

Lovely Sunday drive - even tho is is only Saturday morning! Out with muggle sister, showing her the back way into the Granite Belt.

9 finds today and too many DNFs, so thought I would pick this one up, to round up our numbers...

Felt a bit strange fossicking aorund someones boundry, neighbour on right was watching from verandah, neighboujr on left was mowing. Not sure which to trust, so we went away empty handed.

Will try again next visit, maybe on a quieter day.

I'm leaving the new Mrs Mister JD at home while I go to care for my aged Mum in Brisbane for a couple of weeks while my brother visits his grandkids in Sydney. I'm looking forward to seeing
mum but sad to be leaving my wife at home. I'm taking four days for the trip because
I want to find caches, and long trips are way in my past due to my crook back. Caching is ideal as I can stop and start practically as I like. Today's leg is home to Dubbo. I got off to a late start, and found the traffic out of Canberra was horrendous, so I took a back road just out of town, and finished up doing part of a power trail before I got to Yass. I really enjoyed that road, but took too long and found only a few more on the rest of the day. I did stop quite a few times for my back and to give Sophie GeoSchnauzer a bit of a run. Sophie is a bit sad, we have just lost her lifetime companion, Oscar GeoSchnauzer at the ripe old age of fifteen and a half.

This is day 2 of my journey, driving from Dubbo to Tamworth via less traveled ways. We started in Dubbo, collecting caches, fuel and supplies, then headed to Dunedoo, then on to Coolah, Breeza and Carroll. finding caches and a couple of delightful power trails along the way.

Today is day 3 of my trip. Starting in Tamworth, I'm doing some trails and interesting caches around Tamworth, then heading for Stanthorpe. My old Dad used to tell me I wouldn't know what day it was. I never believed him, but now there is evidence. Today, on the 18th April, I signed all my logs with 17th of April. Oh well, he will be having a good chuckle from his perch in heaven ...

Last day of my trip. It's getting wearing. My back and tailbone are sore from driving, with only geocaching providing relief. Hopping in and out of the car really helps relieve the pain and stiffness. I'll start slowly, and work up to it. I anticipate lots of holdups due to flood repairs today. Well, here we go. Back in town now. This one was nice and easy. The hard bit was having to be sneaky.

Find no 3 of 19 today. Thanks, Granite Belt Cachers

I have just had the best weekend caching around the Warwick, Summit and Stanthorpe areas. With caching buddies (geonayfee, Willis007 and Triple Turmoil) for the weekend we got in a very large number of caches, completing the apple geoart, the fruit run and a few other special caches along the way. I had a fantastic weekend with lots of laughs and funny events it just made for a fun time; the puzzle solving in the lead up to the weekend was great also.

A big thanks to all the CO’s of the caches along the way; for placing and maintaining the caches for us to enjoy. Visiting this area and seeing places I would never see in a normal trip here was enlightening, so again thanks.

In the weekend I got around 180 caches so firstly apologies for the generic part to the log, I do not remember all specifically but some did stand out so I will add a little to those in my posts.

Completed some of the fruit run series and as we are working our way into town we are now starting the snow flake series. Some great hides and some easy finds, this one was as passing.

Heading out to Stanthorpe this weekend to grab some of the wonderful caches on offer out here. Our group of Triple Turmoil, CHAMAD and NayFee signed logs as team TWOCAN.
Cache was quickly spotted, log signed and all replaced as found.
Thank you for the cache Granite Belt Cachers.

I was invited to join Chamad, TripleTurmoil and Willis007 for an epic Geocaching adventure on the Granite Belt and surrounding areas. Our morning started bright an early at Warwick (For some good ole caffeine goodness) and slowly but surely we made our way south towards Stanthorpe while grabbing MANY caches on the way.

The main goal for the weekend was to complete the Stanthorpe GeoArt and sign a couple of the challenge caches. We had a wonderful yet tiring day, we did plenty of driving and visited several locations I haven't been to before

Thank you to each and every CO for places caches at these location. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience and had a blast. We'll certainly enjoy our sleep tonight.

Signed as Twocans

Apologies for the copy pasting crap.

After meeting Willis007 and Chamad at a previous event over New Years, they invited me to join them on an epic geoart mission at Stanthorpe. After weeks of puzzling and planning, today was the day (together with Nayfee). We covered a lot of mileage, had a lot of laughs and learnt a lot along the way.

Between Warwick and Stanthorpe there are a LOT of caches to sign and we did a pretty good job of getting every single one we could - signed as Twocan to save 25 seconds of signing at each cache, as we had work to do!

It’s some years since I beadled around the Stanthorpe region and the promise of a temperate climate and low humidity drew me here. Lots of caches, cheese, jam, wineries, truffles, happy hour, awesome scenery, you get the picture Even managed to convert a muggle to our evil ways Lots of fun!

Second day of our Geocaching sortie to Stanthorpe. Yesterday was a beautiful sunny Spring day, today is wet, windy and bloody cold! 9 degrees with an apparent temperature of 4! Don't you love the stupid things that Geocaching makes you do

Busy road, had a car pull up and watch us standing at the gate so we pulled out the phone and did the old selfie with the cow photo and they drove off! Container not very secure in its spot. TFTC GBCs

On a stunning day as I drove to Mum's place down south, I stopped here to grab this one, I apparently wanted it to be on the sign - which it isn't but made the find quickly when I followed my gut. The log needed replacing so I took care of that and popped it back on its spot. I love the cow and grabbed a photo of it for the collection.

Down for a few days to grab some of these as I missed the 'Mega' a few years back though 'agents' of mine were able to bag some on my behalf. Time for a personal plundering of the area! Oddly, this first one happened to be right next to where we stayed years ago when 18 year old geo-son was still four months from entering the world! Tftc Granite Belt Cachers.

After visiting the lookout and taking a few obligitary photos we drove by here. We had commented on the colourful cow earlier in the day and were happy to be able to get a close up view.
We spent some time wondering about the names as we thought it would give us a clue as to the whereabouts or reason for the name of the cache. We didnt come u p with an answer, but we did find a cache. As others have mentioned the log is very full, but we managed to add our initials sideways in a spare spot.
Thanks for the cache Granite Belt Cachers.
