When finally I figured out where the cache was it was too late. I clumsily got it to a location I couldn't get out. Mr. MacGyver to the rescue! I made a 'fish hook' from a twig which did the trick. TFTC.
**20,245**A lovely area with the lavender blooming along the sides of the road. A quick find at GZ and we were off to the next one. TFTC
Got off work early so decided to stroll along the Omaka river. After a rugged scramble along the river for some caches it was now time for a few park and grab on the way home. Cache and log all fine. Thanks capperz
Scenic drive down the Brancott Rd area, just me, the rejuvenating and mesmerizing sound of light rain drops and birdsong. Straight forward cache, snug, dry. TFTC
A Happy New Year Cache Hunt to you. Called in to sign off your one today, collected the Smiley, as we passed by on our daily cycle ride. All good, GH6710, at the site, and many thanks.
A nice quick find thanks.
Found as we cruised around Picton and Blenheim and Renwick. A nice day for cruising it was too, with some quiet valleys and some busy roads.
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

On my way out of Brancott Lenny spied this one so another quick snag and tag along the way. Cheers.
Today Im on a Capperz Cache Hunt before these all disappear. Enjoyed wandering around Blenheim, caching with Lenny my new (techy) caching partner.

Dad for the find on a bike ride. Day 23 of our March Madness.
TFTC GH6710. Sorry to say that the cache had become brittle and a chunk out of the bottom fell apart in my hand. It is no longer weather tight. Its location should keep it dry for awhile though.

Heading up north for a few days, had a great drive up to Blenheim today 60 caches for the day, road busy and foggy in places. Thanks to all the caches placers - Bitsprayer
I had set aside this morning for signing off some previous solved mystery caches, to which I may add the odd trad or two that was close by.
I was on a mission and was passing by and just couldn't resist stopping for another traditional. Cheers.

This wasn't on my list for today, but pedaled past and thought, would there be one there. A check on the GPS, and yes, there is.
Quick find this afternoon with eltee291! Signed the log and replaced as found. Thanks for the cache, GH6710!
Found today with hingis20 and crman1. Have come frome Victoria, BC, Canada to visit with my daughter and her family in Blenheim and, of course take in some of the great geocaching here. Really great to be enjoying summer in January. TFTC
Yay. Two and a half years later and now that the Coast Road is open and I have a few days to visit, I return to Blenheim as a slightly more experienced cacher and finish off unfinished business by finding this cache. Tftc
By the way, this was my first find of 2019 but I think I dated the log as 2018. Still getting used to the New Year.

A quick easy find after waiting for a spraying tractor to move away. We have seen quite a few installations related to this scheme while travelling through the area today. TFTC
Paddle chick and I had been to the Cito event in Blenheim on our way back to Nelson got a few cache on the way this was a quick park and grab.Tftc GH6710

I needed to use up my free AMEX flight and with no family trips planned, a day trip to Blenheim was arranged. Lots of cache varieties and different difficulties as well. There were too many caches to do individual logs. Thanks to all the COs. TFTC.
Weird barrier indeed but very necessary I think on looking at the flat structure at the edge of the road. It will have saved accidents I'm sure. Thanks for the cache.
Had to negotiate a flock of sheep to get here, lots of cute lambs which the small passengers in the back enjoyed. Annacons had it in hand before I'd even managed to leave the car, tftc.
Second time trying to find it, thanks to the CO for replacing it.
Found with CRMan1 and CoastalMartinis. TFTC.

Wahoo! Thank you to the CO for coming out and replacing the cache, we were successful this time around, on short jaunt just me and the boys. QEF and great P&G.

Replaced the cache, suspect original is still here but has moved. Magnetic pill container within 2m of the end
Today's focus for Jojo and I was some easier ones along north bank and a couple of peripheral ones on the way out.
This was a tough find, and not an easy retrieval. But have replaced as found so TFTC Gh6710

Out and about on a stifling Friday evening with hubby (Kiwimykl) adding to my total by collecting a whole bunch of local caches. We went to the furthest from home first and will work our way back to town along Old Renwick Road and its tributaries.
Kiwimykl already has this one which could have made it easier for me, but I didn't need his help for a QEF PnG eventhough this barrier cache was not located in the usual place for a BC.

Find #466 for the BAMMJams - a lovely sunny Labour Day, so we thought we'd head out to start fulfilling our plan of 500 caches by the end of the year.
Cache found easily and quickly, exactly where we expected to find it - the mini BammJams dropped a dice for future swag collectors, but there was nothing for them to collect (in fact, from 12 caches found today, there was only something to collect in one of them!) TFTC.

Yay! Found my first cache, well to be honest my companion did! Searched for quite a while and then when we found it thought how could we have missed it initially.
Two of us looked for ages but didn't find. Maybe because we are beginners. Will come back again another day.
Off on a Mission to complete a Challenge cache today and to pick up a few on the way.
This had me scratching my head for a while. Talk about myopic. When I eventually took in the big picture there it was.

[green] Day three of a 14 day streak, to get me a ten day caching streak. The additional 4 days are dot day streak, so that's why it is 14 days long. Came out at lunchtime because finding caches in the dark is hard. Okay, not very hard, but harder then in daylight. So I may as well do those I can during lunch . Cool day, would be perfect cycling weather if it wasn't for the light head wind. At GZ the cache was an easy find, after a quick check that the tractor I could hear was a few rows in the vineyard.
Enjoyed the short detour and making the most of yet another impromptu visit to Blenheim.

The last of the day - another great day out with Mrs Sobad, Sidewaze and Limited. Lots of laughs, a bit of natter, some excellent hides, another haul of smilies and an event to meet some very new and not so new caches. A perfect day all round. Thanks to everyone who contributed to it. TFTC #6709
Mrs SoBad left the GPS in the car as she knew where the cache would be. Wrong. The coordinates showed it was in a slightly different spot - where another in the party found it. The last log signed today as LISS to represent the 4 cachers travelling together. It was a fun and successful caching day in the great company of Libitee Isis58 and Sidewaze.
Thanks for this cache and the others that contributed to the day.

For some reason I'd read about this cache - - - oh I know why - - - some Marlborough caches are close enough to home to appear in my notifications - - - and this was one of them. How appropriate to find this one last, just as the sun disappeared below the western horizon, we finally admitted all good things must come to an end and headed for home. Thanks!!!!
Caching with Sidewaze, Isis58 & Mrs SoBad - the "LISS" team. The last cache for the day. A great day too. and somehow it doesn't even feel as if I have with the team found some 40 caches. TFTC
A wee detour down a quiet side road to this cache, J.A.F.L.A.C (Just Another Four Letter Acronym Cache) and a quick find as there weren't too many hiding places.
Thanks for all your hides today, GH6710.
Thanks for all your hides today, GH6710.
I decided to get up early and head over the hills to Marlborough for the CITO event there today. I managed to pick up one or two caches along the way Surprisingly busy down this road this morning so I had to wait for the cost to be clear to go and find the cache. All good in the end, TFTC, Biggles.
A trip "over the hill" to attend my first CITO event meant we could also spend time finding some other caches too. Leaving home early, breakfast at Pelorus, caching interspersed with shopping, a walk along the Taylor Reserve walkway to stretch the legs, all added up to a fairly long but satisfying day before finally arriving home again after 9pm. Most logs were signed H & H or HM & HZ to save space on them.
This was a quick find as indicated by the D/T rating. Thank you GH6710.
This was a quick find as indicated by the D/T rating. Thank you GH6710.
At last minute it came all together and attending the CITO event became priority but not exclusive to shopping, caching and recreation. Indeed a strange sight on a surprisingly busy flat rural road until up close. A total of 30 caches were bagged on a long but satisfying day. Thank you GH6710 for placing this cache.
An early morning ping of a new cache after last nights late efforts, is Status Quo on swing shift (moving from nights to days) or a change of ploy to foil those F T F chasers of which I am unashamedly one? Who knows? Anyway the chance to put my name as first or joint first was tempting and so kiwimykl, raisinpig and myself headed out into the chilly Marlborough day to have a go.
Arriving at G Z a decent length road barrier nowhere near a corner but protecting a power box and great, a grate. Easy find tucked away and back to work for us all

The sound was muted on my phone this morning, so I didn't hear the cache alarm go off when the email notification arrived. However, I must have looked at my phone shortly after and noticed the email notification which when checked was the signal for another FTF chase. A quick trip down the corridor to see if fellow cachers capperz and Raisinpig wanted a lift to GZ had us out of the building and heading to the cache.
The cache was quickly found and log signed and we were back at the car when I thought I should take a closer look at the cache to work out the significance of the name. I only got half way across the road when the penny dropped... Just Another Barrier Cache. Raisinpig had already mentioned it on the trip to GZ but I obviously wasn't paying enough attention, and when I took a proper look at the cache description I see it is there in plain black and white. Funny the small details that get overlooked in the 'Red Mist' of a FTF chase.
