Will disable until we can look at what has happened. Might be a case of archiving it Sad Fingers crossed xx

Cache has been removed from location and lies exposed on the ground. Part still attached to stake but lid and log missing. Has the school rescinded permission? Area is roped off but still accessible.

17-Jan-18
I found the cache but could not sign as the log and lid had been taken and the cache was lying on the ground exposed. No need for what I brought to access the cache. Would have given this an FP. Photo evidence of being there available. Messaged CO on geocaching.com with more details.

We had looked at this from the wrong side of the fence this morning and we decided it would be a 'on the way back' cache. So as we were on our way back home we stopped off here. We have found several of these types of caches so we arrived armed with what was necessary. A quick find and sign then on our way. Thanks Team Walker NZ for this one

Out with Miss 5 on her bike to collect some 'treasures' along this track and a quick stop in the school grounds to find this one too. A quick find, but as i was searching for something to 'get it out', Miss 5 had beaten me to it! tftc, great hide Smile

Tricky to find a cache on these very grounds => Love that game

Early evening GZ was deserted and had a chance to use one of the sources

Those h2ohlala caches are great, a lot of effort is put into the built and construction , no matter how sophisticated or more easier they are
Definitely a favorite point:-)

Thought a Saturday would be a good day to get this and a few others nearby. All quiet at GZ on first visit, although by the time I went back to the car for some special tools, someone else had arrived. But no dramas and cache safely signed. FP from me and thanks team walker.

Nigel Navigator & I are out for a stroll along the Riverlands Rail Trail on a beautiful Blenheim day.
OK back from the Cob Cottage - now backwards. Have experienced one of these before but a lot more complex. Did enjoy it and bagging the cache. This is an amazing garden and was trying to identify all the different types of tree. Cheers

Out and about for a drive in the area, finding a few caches. I've driven past this a few times and wondered about it. Timing is definitely everything with this cache. Saturday in the school holidays seemed to be a good time to be here as I had the place to myself. The cache contraption didn't take too long to find and after a bit of effort the cache was in hand and log signed. TFTC, Biggles.

We selected this as our first Mission GC cache to find. As it turns out, we already found the required cache yesterday but we still desperately wanted to come and find this. What fun! The younger members of the team particularly appreciated this one. Very well done, Team Walker! Definitely giving this another FP.

Found with crman1, PotterFan16279, and FluffyUnicorn02. TFTC!

We had some initial confusion as to how to access this one. We were heading south and stopped on SH1 as the cache seemed quite close, but it was not a safe place to be. We then realised that we should turn off to School Road, which required a U turn. Once we got the parking right this was an enjoyable visit. This is what geocaching is all about - being taken to a special local place, and a carefully crafted cache. Thank you Team Walker NZ.

With only seven days to go to my milestone target deadline and a weekend geocaching trip to the Nelson Lakes National Park which won't produce a lot of caches means tonight I need to get as many caches as I can, so in the company of Kiwimykl we ventured out after work to get as close to the target as possible.

We dropped by here a couple of weeks ago to look for this cache but couldn't find it to save ourselves despite KM being a joint FTFer on this one. We put it on the watchlist and saw it had been found so came back tonight and found it straight away... go figure. A simpler version of 'The Little Dutch Boy' and worthy of a FP.

Mrs SoBad had read the listing - so knew today was a suitable day for this cache. She had read the logs - so knew a water bottle would be a suitable alternative to a pail. It was not as hot as it often is in the area so the water bottle was still full from when she left home. So she just needed to follow her GPS and collect the log for signing. Thelog was fine but the plastic bag has split so you may want to replace it just in case.
Thanks for the interesting listing and placement - and the the clear indication that it was placed with permission.

Out and about for the afternoon now to find a few more hides.

I was heading down this side street to pick up a couple on the cycle trail and stumbled across the one.
Once I realised that it was on the school grounds I was rather pleased that I'd got lucky with the holidays.
Then I saw that I needed special equipment. No bottles on board but I did have a hydration pack with me.
Got hold of the container fairly quickly.
Magnificent school grounds. The kids are so lucky having this garden to learn many practical things in.

Find #497 for the BammJams - I kinda wish we'd saved this one for our 500th find!! A well constructed cache, but similar to another one we've seen recently, so we knew what TOTT we should take with usnand what we should expect when we got there. Easily found and retrieved, signed and returned. Still holidays, and the weekend, today, so no muggles around. The mini-BammJams had a play in the playground before we left. TFTC - a FP from us Smile

[purple] I tried to use my pen, I almost got it, but didn't, so I decided I should try the way it was intended. I searched around and found what I needed. I like the containers that take some effort to make, and thought. There was no one around today. A FP for me. 1cat lover.nz (who is not a premium member) loved the playground too, and the fig tree! The bag was split, but luckily the container seems water tight. Tftc.

#1435 Initially stopped on side of road while leaving Blenheim. Bad choice as had to cross rail tracks - no need to do this for the cache, however I did have part of the cache in my fingers at that time.

On our way back to town we stopped again I'm the right place. Had a chat with the caretaker - great to know that he knows of the cache. We went to the cache and then realised what was needed - caretaker helped us with source.

Have seen caches like this in south Wairarapa and Ireland - I do love the creativity. This warns a Favourite Point.

Thanks for another South Island smilie. All good at GZ

One of the many caches we found on our journey from Oamaru to Picton via Molesworth Station. A mighty and enjoyable journey through NZ high country. Many thanks to the many CO for the great cache placements and for bringing us to new places. Sorry for the generic log.

I forgot my pail so had to head back to the car and find something suitable to retrieve the cache. I had just had my morning walk up to Mt Vernon so knew there was an appropriate thing in the car to help me. Gz was a very special place and that together with the nice cache construction means a compulsory favourite point.
Thanks Team Walker NZ for the cache.

We were impressed by the horticultural efforts here, reminds me of my own primary school days. After following the GPS to another spot we widened the search and Hazedarus found the cache a few metres away. Mmm, okay, we have found a few caches like this so soon had the log in hand. Thank you Team Walker NZ.

With the GIFF 2015 event as an excuse a list of caches was compiled. Some unfinished business, some old and some new. The correct approach wasn't shown on the GPS. It was on the "wrong" side of the road so we saved it for our return from caches further afield. What a great place to get an education! The cache wasn't to hard to spot and after some creative thinking we could sign the log. Thank you Team Walker NZ

Soon had the cache found - needs replacing in the ground - was just lying down which defeats the object of this cache.

With Gap (of Fap and Gap)...

All too soon, the Mega dream came to an abrupt end... We needed to return to Picton to catch the last ferry sailing back to the North Island. If history was anything to go by, there would be many cache related stops. We tried to get away as early as possible...

We are pleased to report that almost all of the caches we stopped for were in place and in good order. Besides a bit of dampness, there was nothing of concern. This is a feat that cache owners in this area of the country can be proud of... We thank you... Thank you for bringing to our attentions areas of significance. We enjoyed discovering scenic areas, historical and social locations, and other personally meaningful spots.

As stated, we found loads of caches... If we were to write an individualised note for each one, we'd never get the logging done. Hence, there will be a lot of cutting and pasting going on... My apologies!!

Marlborough: We scouted this one on a school day and knew we had no show of a retrieval... But we left knowing what was required here... We returned today when school was out for the weekend. No trouble with this hide which needs securing back into the ground. TFTC.

4.30pm Found Cache - Well after a full on couple of days at the Mega Event it's time for myself and Squirrel Nutcase to head north to Picton for our sailing tonight. As we have done so many caches today have opted to cut & paste for this stage of our trip so we can get them logged. Great trip but not enough time on our side to do any more. All caches that we found today were in good condition and were able to claim them all fairly quickly. Signed logs for all these wonderful caches we came across down south, will return in the future to claim more.
Many thanks to you all.

I'd looked at this one before so knew what was required. We arrived just before 4.00pm but no one was in sight so off we went armed with our drink bottles. I enjoyed looking at all the well kept beds and the good variety of produce. Good teamwork made for a quick retrieval. TFTC #7039

Fortunately Isis read the description thoroughly so we knew just where to park and how to prepare for the task. We even just so happened to arrive at almost the appropriate time. Great to see such a well-cared for garden here. I'm sure many of those who watch or participate and learn will go on to grow crops of their own. TFTC Smile.

Finally found the right way of approaching this one after being rail roared for a while and almost giving up. Spike to some of the local workers who knew about the cache so no issues eventually with the find. TFTC and clever hide. That now completes my requirements for the East 173 Challenge.

[green] Need a pail by the rail? Need a few pails. And a raincoat. Gumboots would be nice. Someone else to retrieve the cache while I stayed dry in the car would be best. Alas I had none of these things. And it's a dot day, so no postponing. Luckily by the time I had dinner most of the rain had stopped. Still lots of cloud and water, so the GPS signal was a bit nasty. When I had found the cache it was full dark, and the GPS had me 15 metres away. And on top of that I found I needed another drink, and had to go back to the schools water fountains to slack my thirst. But I got the cache and with some careful hunching over, managed to sign it keeping everything dry. All in good order here. And another dot day ticked off! Just 5 more to go!

Fortified with breakfast at the Raupo Cafe in Blenheim, StreetWalker and I headed off on our big caching adventure through Taylor Pass, up the Awatere Valley as far as Awapiri. Drove back to SH1 then a quick side trip to Seddon, finishing with a few finds in Blenheim as darkness fell. 47 caches found on a very scenic and interesting trip.
Many thanks to all the COs whose caches we found, what awesome places you all have taken us to and apologies for the copy and paste log but with 47 logs to write, it could take a while to do each cache justice.
This was the second cache of this type for us today. All quiet here after 4pm on a Saturday afternoon. What a lovely wee school, the orchard and vege gardens are a great innovation, though we wondered why the fruit from the orchard was going to waste?
We had come armed with the right "tools" to access the cache and soon we were signing the log book. Thanks for the effort with this hide and TFTC.

#901. I drove past this one and couldn't figure out how to access this site with the railway line present. Only later did I read the description and realise access was via the school. Its the first cache I have done on school grounds. Luckily by 4.45 pm the place was deserted. Soon found the cache and realised an extra tool would have been helpful. But without that option I found another method to release the container and had the log in hand and signed. Everything replaced and away to the next. I am sure its an educational cache for some. Found on our 25 day New Zealand South Island holiday.

Apologies for the late log but with little or no internet as we travelled and only super slow WiFi in van parks I decided to log all finds on my return home.

This was not in my PQ, lucky a comment in a log on another cache made me go look see.
Figured what was needed. Arrived at appointed PM hour, quickly spied, found I was well prepared, and back to car in under 3 mins....whew.
Thanks for the cache.....maybe not for the visit to school.

*FTF* with Kiwimykl and Raisinpig.
This was listed earlier today, and a lunchtime caching raid almost planned before we read the description and had to re-schedule a more appropriate time. Straight after work it was go and the caching team converged on GZ. A great little garden area that I remember from the school gala day earlier in the year. On arrival at GZ there was initially some confusion about where it could be, as we didn't see anything obvious, but then on stepping back and taking another look the cache location was spotted and luckily Raisinpig had the required equipment to extract the cache. Great to get another {FTF} on the books and this is a definite favourite cache for me.
T F T C Team Walker NZ, nicely done.

A second F T F chase today and another unsuccessful effort for my troubles. I'd arranged to meet t S here after work but due to a mix up in timings/locations it never happened. I met the tail end of the F T F team from earlier in the shape of raisinpig and we went off to have a look under the river lands bridge nearby to no avail. After that I set off for the main event of finding the prize. A lovely garden here and plenty of produce, the school are really lucky having this in their grounds. Grabbed a couple of walnuts to eat there and then. Shame that the feijoas are not ripe enough to eat, they're massive too.
No problems with the find on my own, grabbed and signed in second place
T. F. T. C. T. W. NZ, another nice hide, F P for your troubles.

{FTF} with Raisinpig and GH6710.

I asked GH6710 if he intended going for a FTF chase on this cache after work today knowing that unless someone ignored the CO's polite request not to attempt this during school hours it was likely to be a good chance. When he said yes, I asked if he wanted to team up with me and he was OK with that. Unfortunately capperz and Raisinpig were elsewhere and we couldn't include them in our plans.

At GZ we hunted around for a short time before I spotted something that looked like what I was expecting and when we looked closer it was a variation on a similar theme near the Taylor Dam but without the frustration factor. In the excitement of the FTF chase I had left the necessary item to retrieve the cache in the car so I went to get it, when who should I see approaching... our mind-reader, Raisinpig with said necessary item. It seemed rude not to include her in the spoils so we shared the FTF and hung around GZ for a few more minutes waiting for capperz to arrive to no avail before replacing the cache and heading off to look for another cache that had individually been giving us grief in the general area, hoping a team effort would produce results.

It is refreshing to see another player placing caches in the area other than the usual suspects so like the others before me I am going to award a FP, not only for this cache, but in the hope it encourages them on to bigger and better things.
