I heard these were getting archived tomorrow, so Goldy and I went looking for a couple of previous DNF’s of mine to no avail.

Wait what, we are starting on the second. Well this is going to put my estimates out of whack (grin). Ok, the start of the OTD trail. I put on my brand new Long Buzzguard Gaiters in the hope that an encounter with a death noodle will be less traumatic. It also keeps out the prickles, which I need as I wore the wrong socks after getting dressed in the dark this morning. Here we go....

Great, there is a lizard half way up the tree, in a bit of shade and moving air. I ask him if he has seen the cache, and he points me to the next tree along. Ah, there it is, thank you. Cache in good condition, but not the usual OTD size, this one is a replacement. I slipped back for a photo of the lizard.

Thanks for the cache and the series Lib, love you work. FP left here on first one for the series

Today I had a number in mind, a required number of caches for 2021 and for many reasons, I was a little behind as December rolled through. Today was the last day to bolster some numbers for 2021 but the weather was not on the same page. So I rose early and hit the trail by 6.30am to avoid some of the heat. With a few of the OTD’s missing from the set, and several others that didn’t want to play ball, I ended up at 2.30pm with 9 more to get. Balaklava was not forthcoming so went south to Owen to complete the haul. A great day out, with the temperature ranging between 40 and 45 degrees from 11am onwards. Thanks to all the CO’s for their placement and ongoing maintenance.

Found on a rather dismal, weather wise, day while out north after the February and April OTD series. All targeted caches were found and I almost stayed dry.
Last of the two series and of course it started raining, and of course the one that took me longest to find.
Thanks for the cache and series LíB

Found at 3:22 PM GAFF1.
A perfect afternoon to do this series and it was a pleasure to find the caches as the co-ords were deadly accurate and al of the containers were placed in good logical spots. There was also a lot of interesting information on the cache pages that kept us amused Big Grin
Thanks LíB

We very much enjoyed this February series of caches and reading the various cache pages before going on to find them - great fun indeed! This one was a nice quick find once at Ground Zero. We signed the log book and then replaced as found. Thanks so much for the cache and for the interesting information on the cache page. Greetings from Zimbabwe

13-Mar-19
After lots of dramas at work it was nice to finish at lunch time and head out on an afternoon caching expedition with JJ52.
The plan was to tackle the February OTD series and the Prime Minister series.
I also requested the add in of 3 multis as I am trying to qualify for the SFE multi challenge which is still a long way off.
We had a great afternoon/early evening out finding over 60 caches and only 2 dnf which both appeared to be missing.
The weather was glorious, not too hot and made for a super afternoon.
Thankfully no snakes were seen but we were vigilant as it seemed like perfect snakey weather. Plenty of birds were seen as well as a rabbit, lizard and many many goats and other farming animals.
TFTC and this series we found all other than No1.

13-Mar-19
An afternoon caching expedition had been organised with Michells&hound to tackle the February OTD series and the Prime Ministers series along with a few others along the way. [^]

M&h had also targeted three multis which we added to the list, and we also found. Big Grin We had a successful afternoon (4 finds and 2 DNF's) which ended up extending into the early evening, but hey when you are on a roll...Wink It was a beautiful day for caching, warm with a breeze which turned into quite a cool wind at the end of our day so it didn't bother us too much. Saw lots of wildlife with one huge paddock containing hundreds of goats running around...I had never seen so many goats in one place. Surprised

After not finding #1 all the rest were found, some more easily than others. Big Grin

Thanks for the cache and the series 3LG. Smile

25-Feb-19
It was time to ignore the heat of the day and go out to do a couple of month's worth of caching with ilook4geo. So the remainig caches still available for April and the ones for February were chosen, as these runs were close together.
All the April ones were very quick and easy to find and two more names were soon noted on each log.
Some of the February ones were a bit more of a challenge to find, but the run was still a success story.
Thank you 3LG for placing so many caches and for adding to the caching game.

25-Feb-19
It was hot and windy today, but caching with goingplaces2 was still on the program. Did a lot of caches and had a really good day. Thank you to all the COs who placed the caches we found.

Arriving at our SA friends @Hahesyfam for a quick visit on our holiday adventures, we told them of our Geocaching fun. Well they were interested and keen to give it a go. So we set off today with 3 geokidsin tow and made a plan to get some local geos done.
We struggled with the heat and dirt but we managed to find 21 of the 24 caches we visited.

A day of epic geocaching that became my most number of caches in a day of 101. I was geocaching with gridge98 as we found half the Australian Prime Minister series, two OTD series for February and April, a small cluster of recently published Watervale caches that were FTFs, a selection of riding our bikes down the Rattler Trail, and finally driving finding caches back to home.

Another OTD, another find, thanks.

19-Oct-18
Just a few more to make up 50 finds for the day.
Heading back to our accommodation after an afternoon on the letterbox trail. Just picking up a few on the way back.
Our aim this afternoon was to grab all the letterbox caches along this trail and throw in whatever else we came across as well. Everything was found reasonably quickly and there were no issues with any of the caches we found. There was a strong wind blowing when we started which increased throughout the afternoon with recordings of 48-60 kmph. As we neared the end of the trail, a dust storm kicked up and reduced visibility in places. tftc

07-Oct-18
found with allister w. stamped log as mystery randoms to save space. 2nd OTD series for the day. All caches where found but 4 where found on the ground not in there hidey holes, so we replaced them at listed co ords in there hidey holes. Only 1 had a soaked unusable log due to the lid not been put on currently and that log replaced. quick find.

Found with FUF009.
Day 6 of an 8 day epic tour of SA.
Based in Tarlee, today's goal was some OTD caches, the 60 and the APM series.
Various side tracks to get other finds along the way were added in as they presented themselves.
The OTD series are so different in style of hide so that kept things interesting.
The APM was a long drive for few caches which we didnt really enjoy but it was heading in the direction of our accommodation so was convenient.
Again, I was impressed by the diversity of the SA countryside and it was a pleasant day.
204 caches found today. Apologies for the generic log.
All caches were found in good condition unless mentioned at the start of my log.

Found during a day of caching in the mid-north in the company of GoodLook and feathertop, with the main aim of completing the O.T.D. February, O.T.D. April and O.T.D July series, and any other caches that got in the way! Most of the logbooks were stamped under the name of 'fabulous randoms' but I did get to write my name out on a few that GoodLook and feathertop had previously located. Thanks for the cache 3LG!

This morning I met up with Goodlook and featherwaite in Balaklava on a perfect Saturday morning.
The sun was shining but it was cool and not windy, perfect caching weather.
We had in mind to do 2 of your OTD series, Feb and April
We began with Feb as it has less days Big Grin
All finds were found and even the contentious #22 which had had its replacement cache removed the day before. Lots of varied hides kept us on our toes!
We signed them under our Fabulous Randoms stamp
Thanks so much for your efforts in placing these caches out here 3LGSmile

Today feathertop and I cached with FeatherWaite and what a wonderful day we all had. We met feathertop in Balaklava and cached our way around the area focussing on several O.T.D. series.

Our combined team name today was "Fabulous Randoms" and that is how the 'millions' of log books have been stamped (bar a few with our actual caching names in them).

Thanks so much for the cache 3LG! Smile

I am heading to Jordan and Qatar as part of a university trip in a few weeks, and I decided that as I am approaching 500 caches (not really but after today, I am), it would be a nice idea to get my 500th cache in either Jordan or Qatar. I informed Doctor Owl of this vague plan last week when we caught up to do maintenance last week, and she concluded that I absolutely must fulfil this plan. The problem was that by the end of our maintenance run (and caching along the way) last week, I was on 397 caches. 102 caches of the 499 needed to ensure I could get my 500th while overseas. Therefore, Doctor Owl decided that in order to get my numbers up some powertrials were needed. So we headed up north with SASewerRats, collecting caches that some or all (mainly me though) hadn't done. I ended up getting 78 caches and having a great day.
Another easy find. The logbook was a bit damp. TFTC.

Today we tackled the 2 OTD series and many other caches in the area with Roostaman. Enjoying the views and the changing country side, especially the vibrant colours of the crops that just went on and on, especially with the green backdrop of other paddocks. This was a highlight of this area making it a picturesque landscape. Most were easy finds at GZ, some a bit of a search, but a great day out.

Thanks for placing and maintaining this series for our enjoyment.

Day 3 of our assault on the peninsula geo-arts had us finishing off the two remaining series before high tailing it back towards the big smoke Big Grin. Now that the weather was a bit better we might actually be able to use our swags [^].

I had been eyeing off an interstate trip for some time now and made plans to head to SA to power through the geoart trails over here Big Grin. I roped in my geo buddy Krabiboy to join me and we set about solving [?] caches and highlighting Jasmer caches that aren't available over in WA. Our adventure took us from the CBD over to the Yorke Peninsula and then back across to the Murray Bridge area Smile. We were relentless in chasing down the finds and picked up as many as we could in the week that we had available. Due to the park and grab nature of our visit, the log books which weren't able to accommodate the ink stamp we had made were signed with the initials 'jk'! Fave points will be awarded for those caches which are considered awesome Big Grin

A massive thanks here to 3LG for placing this cache here and for tempting us to venture over to this area. Cheers!

Two Norwegian travellers on vacation/geocaching in Australia. Travelling by car from Brisbane to Adelaide with stops in interesting and not so interesting places. Started with the Sunshine Coast to warm us up and since then when travelling to the south and west the weather have not been so good as we hoped. Lots of wind and rain with only a few sunny days in between. We have now travelled through the east and south of OZ for nearly 5 weeks. The weather have been better last few days in Clare.
Today is the final stage of our roadtrip. Left Clare and will return the car in Adelaide this afternoon.
And we will log some caches down the road. So far, 378 caches are logged in OZ.

12685. Albida33, LuckyL10n, fitzy_1965 and Sol de Lune (Team "ALFS") headed over to the Yorke Peninsula to cache around the GeoArt there.

After finishing all the GeoArt and the Mail Road LBH series we headed over to the February On This Day Series. This was a fun series which we had no problems finding all 29 caches - although one was very tight to get out as it had sunk so deep - however with a handy caching tool we soon extracted it and ensured it wouldn't happen to the next finder.

Thanks again 3LG !!

Yorke Peninsula 2016. This weekend I joined Fitzy_1965, Sol de Lune and Luckyl10n for a six day trip to the South Australian Yorke Peninsula to get all of the geo art puzzles at the southern tip area. We had a great weekend and apart from about five DNFs were overall very successful. The trip started on Wednesday after work when Fitzy and I jumped in the car and drove to Narrandera for the night. The next day was a long day of driving to Adelaide via Balranald, Murrayville, Pinneroo and Tailem Bend. On Friday Fitzy and I went to Adelaide airport to collect Sol de Lune and Luckyl10n before heading to Port Wakefield and down the Peninsula to get started on the art. Thee days of art later we were all done by lunchtime on Sunday so went looking for another few short series near Port Wakefield. The trip ended with a two day drive home with all four of us via Mildura and Balranald. A fantastic weekend and I cannot wait till we can do another trip !

Thanks.

#5795 - 16:44; Day 3 of the geoart appreciation tour of the Yorke Peninsula for the intrepid Team ALFS (albida 33, LuckyL10n, fitzy_1965 and Sol de lune). After a solid 2 1/2 days of caching we had completed the eight objets de geoart which had been our primary targets. We had then headed north and wrapped up the LBH series along the Mail Road, then east collecting a couple of caches along the way until we reached the 'On this day February' series. Managed to locate all of the 29 caches in the series, although some took a little bit longer than others to locate and/or extract from their hides. Recent wet weather also saw a nice coating of mud on the geomobile and a bit of a detour to collect the last few Wink TFTC 3LG Smile

Yorke Peninsula trip with albida33, Luckyl10n, fitzy_1965. Logs were signed as ALFS.

Once we finished the Geo-art down in the Peninsula we still had half a day so decided to head up this way to grab a few more....and this series look the goods. Found all but one, so a good hour in area. A bit of water and mud around lower numbers made for a loop to get the last few, but all was good...

Still, a great afternoon with 28 for the afternoon. Am looking forward to trying OTD April when the roads are a little more solid.

Sorry about generic log. Doing the power trail with my GF Rapidlywild from interstate. Day started off beautiful then turned to windy rainy hell, but we persevered. Had a great day. Cant wait to do the other OTD's. TFTC 3LG

An impromptu dash to South Australia was needed so I could say my goodbyes to my poppy, Twisted and I stayed a couple nights with my best friend KBKL. After poppy's service was sorted, we decided a few caches were in order.

Apologies for the generic logs on the OTD series. We decided to go knock over February and April as they were close to Balaklava. We had no issues with February (although we did place a couple new logs in zip lock bags as the ones within were drenched) and all signed. We had to be weary of the slippery boggy roads as I was driving a 2WD and at one stage we thought it was game over however we found a dry enough route past the bog. We had some issues with the April ones (of which I have contacted the CO and advised of said issues), it appears alot of the bisons were on the ground and some missing completely. We helped the CO out as much as we possibly could however.

Thanks for the cache 3LG Cool[^]Big Grin
