Caching with Oddiewan. Brought the Cache Crusader for a weekend away and have it parked at the Memorial park in Rathdowney. Went for a drive and thought we had the perfect excuse to stop for a few caches while sightseeing. Thanks for the fun, lucasladd
Found with Dad and TevlaGaming [Eliton159]. Our second water crossings cache. We actually chucked a u-turn to go back for it because missed the bridge first time (which is really just a guardrail).
Out and about on a Sunday afternoon with karen rinora. Of course we had to stop for a few caches along the way! We tracked this one down quickly. TFTC!
Today RoddyC, Hatzofff and I had an early start to cache our way to Beaudesert for an Event then cache after the Event too. Hatzofff was trying to get enough caches in the Scenic Rim for a certain Challenge.Found this cache, signed the log before replacing as found. TFTC
With an Event in Beaudesert today, it is a great opportunity to aid hatzofff in finding some Scenic Rim caches for a specific challenge. Of course, I am sure Imbunda and I will also collect a few along the way.All good.Log signed and cache replaced as found at 3:13 PM on April 27, 2024. TFTC, lucasladd.
Home from our trip away and getting back into caching. An event in Beaudesert and a challenge to qualify for has brought us to the Scenic Rim.Quick find. A little different.Caching with RoddyC and Imbunda.TFTCache lucasladd
Quick find, tuck container back where I think it was meant to be, not on ground...

Quick find while Farmer Joe and his son hung out in the field. Thanks for the fun lucasladd
After a FTF in Kalbar, and finishing the Adventure at Moogerah I’m taking a very indirect route towards Rathdowney and Beaudesert…
A quick find in the typical location… tftc…

Making my way to Rathdowney for the night I’ve left early so I can stop for a few caches along the way.
I was too busy listening to my podcast and not paying attention to the gps and drove past this cache. Had to find a spot to turn around and once I was at GZ it was a quick find. Tftc

Today, a plan was arranged to hike up Mount Barney. I joined Beardman75 and Wayn0 on the full expedition, while GurTheWanderer made the partial ascent. An early start to the day was made by driving the two hours, and then it was a full day of hiking on the mountain until returning back to the car as the light started to fade. I then returned home via Rathdowney in order to make a strategic dinner stop in Beaudesert. It was a cracker day with clear and spectacular views from Mount Barney's East Peak. I managed to squeeze in a few *BEAUTIFUL BEAUIE* Adventure Lab Locations before tiredness got the better of me.
I was in an area of no phone signal, and I hadn't planned/bothered to download these caches offline, so I had the general area of this geocache, but no hint to guide me. Thankfully, after walking to GZ, the cache was a quick find. The cache container was in good shape, but the logbook was severely water damaged and tattery, so it may be in need of a new logbook soon. Thanks lucasladd for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

Signed the log best I could. It was out in the open and the log was saturated

In April 2015 when we came through this region there were hardly any caches around. There were a few extreme mountain climbing ones, but we were towing a van and couldn't stop to do them, so it is very pleasing to be able to drive around these lovely roads with excellent scenery and pick up a few easy caches.
Thanks lucasladd.

On our way home from climbing Mount May, a quick stop was made to find this one with georode & karicka, thanks CO.

Based at Mt Alford and this is one of the caches we targeted and found. Love the scenery and exploring in this area. Thanks for hiding and enhancing our enjoyment of the area.
We were driving between Lismore and Beaudesert today but had some time to kill, so made a detour out this way. Didn't take too long and we found this one. Shame we don't have time to do the whole series - but we will be back! Thanks lucasladd!
A quick find on drive after the walk up Mount Maroon. By now, the rain had set in, so it was a quick dash for retrieval!
Thanks,
Domsky

Felt like looking for a few caches, so put my geodog Scruffy in the car and headed to the Rathdowney area for the day.

Out and about doing some maintenance, this Cache container has been replaced with a new one and is ready to go
The list of caches that we wanted to look for today included quite a few different "Water Crossing" ones and a couple we had to let go for various reasons, but the rest were successfully found. This was a nice easy one and we soon had the log signed and were on to the next one. Thanks lucasladd for a variety of different hides.
Cache still there. A bit damp & dirty as well below flood level but drying out okay. Nice one. Didn't spot travel bug in cache.
No luck with this one. Based on the debris level it might be an idea for the CO to check this one.
Went searching for this cache today and it looks like it's fallen victim to the March 2017 floods.
Great day out with a great group
Thank you lucasladd for placing this cache

Quite a nice little creek below this bridge. I was surprised not to see any turtles or platypus swimming around. I think from memory GZ was out for us on this one. Nothing to dramatic though as we managed to find it and signed our names on the log.
Thanx again lucasladd

So we are packed up and on our way home now. We have the van on so Rick is being funny about caching, but he told me I could. Plus he is whinging about the bindies. I thought it said there was a coin in the cache, but it is not there.

Out for a caching day on the Ekka holiday. Doing a few of these water crossings on our circuit Boonah to Rathdowney TFTC.
Decided to do a Mothers Day run from Rathdowney to Boonah, just to grab a few for the morning before going to lunch. TFTC lucasladd
Out and about in the area.
Decided to take a country drive to get out of the suburbs and enjoy the country air.
And why not pick up a few caches along the way.
Thanks for the cache.

23/4/16 spending the weekend at a nearby camp ground with friends and decided this was the perfect opportunity to grab the last few caches needed for our personal challenge of 1000 caches by our 2nd geo-anniversary (which is on 26/4/16). Today I headed out to grab 12 caches which will take me to 999 finds.
This was the fifth cache of the day. A nice quick find although my compass had me on the wrong side of the road. Thankfully I expected an easy find and so widened my search quite quickly when the cache wasn't where the compass said. TFTC lucasladd

Today we travelled from Red Rock NSW to Boonah QLD.
We travelled through some absolutely stunning scenery, finding a few caches along the way.
We did quiet a few water crossings pulling up at once that we thought was safe to with a caravan on.

Found @9:01:00 AM.
On my way to Moogerah Dam to catch up with a few cachers to tackle the Third oldest cache in QLD. This would have been an easy find.... if had looked on the correct side of the road.
All is good with the cache
Thanks to lucasladd for the cache

The name looks familiar but it's not in my notebook. Will wait and see if Ruzzelz logs it.

We found the co ords for this cache to be off. Our GZ was on the other side of the road. I've put up the co-ords that worked for us and our Garmin GPS. Thanks lucasladd.
Out and about in the area today as I have a day spare before meeting some friends tomorrow.
I am slowly making my way west and camped at Mt French last night. [^]
So today is a few drive by's exploring the local region.
A short search before spotting this one.
Thanks for the cache.

Heading home from our craft retreat, this was our first stop for the afternoon. A quick find with bennyboppers and missusan. Tftc
Very pretty little crossing, we wondered whether any platypus swim here, it looks like the perfect spot for them. TFTC.
Relogging this under individual account, previously a member of Gaz'n'Kab account.
We set off today to grab a couple of caches with not much planned, but just to enjoy a relaxing day in the county side This one was next up on the list for us today, so we continued our drive along the country roads and soon arrived at GZ. Another quick find across the road, and we soon had our name in the logbook and the cache returned safely [^]

Not a hard cache to find but watch out for speeding cars zipping around the corner! Happy at this cache because sun had come out again. Afternoon was cool so sun was cheering.
Out caching for the day with Diamonjs and Aussie Liahona. Had completed the earlier water crossing series so was out today to look for the newer ones. TFTC lucaladd.
A nice quick find at GZ today. Thanks lucasladd. Your new caches have been much appreciated as we've taken this lovely drive through this gorgeous countryside today. [^][^]

Decided on a 'country' run today as my calendar was clear.
Picked Beaudesert, Rathdowney, Boonah as a likely run. Glad I did!
Second to find after a two week gap.
A bit slow out here?
Quick find.
