No trees here now but lots of big stumps. The GPS keep pointing us over there but finally tracked this one down. Great containers. So with my trusty gloves and handy dandy wipes we get this one tagged and tucked back in. Cheers
Its Saturday and time to head for the hills with Lake Challis in on our radar for today. Raphael, my lock-down house guest, is along for the ride as we trail the Seagnoid Mobile up Staircase Road. Bummer! 14km from Lake Challis we get stopped by a tree across the road. OK plan B? Rimu Falls. Yes! so we u-turn and head up Bartlets Creek, only to come across a locked gate. OK a walk in these them hills is off the menu and when we later stop at North Bank we find the whole of Richmond Range is CLOSED. DUH, should have stopped there first. So we cache back along North Bank Road to SH6. Then target a few Capperz caches in the vicinity, before they disappear. Then a walk around Grovetown Lagoon to finish the day off. We have both enjoyed our day out.

spacenarwhale asked to spend a few hours reading in the library today, so I decided to look for a cache that was on the way home (somewhat). My first try here had me straight to GZ, looking under the correct camouflage. Unfortunately a combination of sunstrike and sunglasses kept me from finding the container, so I wandered off to other possible hiding spots. Finally I returned to my first spot, and, looking from a different angle, spotted the container (nice one!).
Thank you for the cache.

Find #14 for MnAJ - this one stumped (ha!) the kids for quite a while, but we got there in the end. Cachexwas a bit damp, did our best to dry it out. Tftc.
It's Christmas time and a time for cleaning bikes and once vehicles are clean it is mandatory to go somewhere and get them dirty again. So, up to MY road to check on this one. Yes, no more trees but yes, there is still a cache. Until the site is cleaned up and the stumps are removed this one should be safe. It's a special one for be, being on MY road and it was my 100th find.
Found with Ulmuslynx and my daughter.
Loved Michael Jackson music.

Back in the area today ater a delayed ferry crossing due to the high winds, bit of a bumpy ride, but got a couple of hours caching in, many thanks to all the cache placers - Bitsprayer
How fitting that my 100th should be on "my" road. It was a choice between this one and a nearby one by a very favourite one-armed-drummer band. If it's not this tree, maybe it's this one, or this one, or this one. And, finally, we have some rain.
Quick find this morning with eltee291 and crman1 once we found the right tree! Very cute cache guardian. Signed the log and replaced as found. Thanks for the cache, capperz! A favorite.
Found on this absolutely gorgeous day with hingis20 and crman1. So great driving around this beautiful countryside. Vacationing in Blenheim from Victoria, BC, Canada. TFTC
A quick and easy find once I found the correct base. Thanks

Very difficult cache. Nearly didn't make it. Preceded by awesome vintage platter lunch at Giesen. Tftc
Gorgeous weather so time to take time out and head away to do some geocaching which has been on hold for some time now. After the confusion at the Bike Track some time was spent rechecking all the info we had and last finds before setting out for the afternoon. Yes, we still use pen and paper and the old GPS for our geocaching so some of our info is pretty old but usually okay. TFTC.
So I have a bad habit of skipping the details on a cache page and just zeroing in on the important stuff like location and size. It wasn't until I had the container in hand that I made the connection to the description and realised these caches and containers are themed. tftc
Out and about on Day 4 of the Blenheim cache raid. A sheep gave me dirty looks after I stepped over the electric fence, and into his/her domain, to get to GZ. TFTC.
#5527. I was over in Blenheim for the day attending a meeting. After the meeting finished early I had several free hours available before my return flight to Wellington so looked at picking up a few more caches around Blenheim. Rather enjoying this type of caching. No planning. No need for numbers. Just going where the whim takes me and what cache appears next on the GPS list. Quick find here. Thought the cache title sounded familiar. Signed the log and returned the cache as found. Thanks for the cache capperz.

I needed to use up my free AMEX flight and with no family trips planned, a day trip to Blenheim was arranged. Lots of cache varieties and different difficulties as well. There were too many caches to do individual logs. Thanks to all the COs. TFTC.
Found whilst having a walk after a day spent wine tasting. Consequently I wondered for a short while what I had actually found. Obvious really, when the description and hint were re- read. Thank you for placing this cache in such a lovely spot. Greetings from Kent, England.
Nice cache container , brought back memories of South Africa.

Enjoyed the stroll to this one from our hotel. Really like the theme! TFTH and greetings from Virginia, USA!
It was getting dark by the time I was here so I was pleased that it was a quick find. Thanks capperz for the cache
Replaced the logbook of this and the other 4 'That song' caches on these back roads. Initials only please folks
Found this one after finding the right tree.
The log is full though.

Staying nearby we had to go for a walk after the All Blacks game. Enjoyed the walk and the cache. Unfortunately the logbook is full, but we managed to squeeze our name in. TFTC
Today we mostly targeted PnG caches to help boost our July numbers to go towards a challenge in the North Island, The weather was sunny but still with a chilly wind so was always warmer in the car than out of it. We managed 57 cache finds and ended the night on a high note with a FTF in the fresh snow and dark at St Arnaud. Overall we totaled 107 finds for the weekend - blowing the challenge out of the water!
A nice quick find coming off the stopbank. Cute container. I would say this little guy is black on white. This song always gets stuck in my head and you cant help moving when you hear it. Theres room for maybe 3 more people to sign. Thanks for the cache

Another one our route today. Good find. Thank you! Signed log as FU, CR, CM, and PF. Found with crman1, coastalmartinis and PotterFan16279.
Out for a big day of geocaching. 30 on the list and we thought we'd see how many we could find. Did well today and found almost all of them. All were great hides, and we even learned stuff along the way.
Apologies for generic log, but so many to log before bed! Thanks to all the COs!!
Found with coastalmartinis, FluffyUnicorn02, and PotterFan16279.

We went out for a family day of geocaching. I think we had 30 on our list and only DNF a few. All of them were really cool hides. Thanks so much to all the COs who thought them up.
I'm really sorry to leave the same log for all of them but I don't type very well and there are so many I have to log tonight.

Found and we were cautious of others as this little road was busy. Another very cute container. Thanks for another song.
A nice quick find with tmann and P-Emily while in the area for the weekend.

Out and about on a pleasant Thursday evening with Kiwimykl, converting caches into smiley faces. He has already found this one which could have made it easier for me, but I didn't need his help for a QEF.

Had to wait for a passing tractor but then snap! another smiley for us. TFTC.
Somehow we wrote a note instead of logging a find. Thanks for the heads up cappers!
Thanks for another bit of music history, and the cache to add to our morning ride.

Ahh that song which is why you used that container. While it doesn't matter if you're black or white, it can matter to these if they are not black and white.
Thanks.

I am just spending one night in Blenheim before moving on down the line. So the afternoon was spent signing off a few caches along the road towards Nelson as well as along the Wairau River.
Cheers for the cache.
Cheers for the cache.
Not a great fan of Michael Jackson I still do appreciate the enormous talent he had. As with numerous other gifted artists the commercial pressures applied ultimately help lead to their untimely demise. Thank you Capperz.
Yeah another song that I actually know and can easily make the link between the container, song and title - given my track record with other in the "song" series I'm not expecting it will last that long. TFTC #6886
Isis58 navigating, Sidewaze driving, we're on a roll! A quick get-away this morning so time to bag a few smilies on the way to the event. Thanks !!
Over in the region for a day of caching around Marlborough. I had a great day over here. Weather was perfect. A big walk in the Wither Hills was on the cards today. After I finished my walk I had time for a few more caches before I had to head for home. After failing to find another MJ themed cache on a previous visit (still haven't been back there) it was good to get this one. TFTC, Biggles.
Mrs Waimearev had a day meeting Marlborough so Waimearev tagged along and spent the day ducking and diving geocaching. Thanks for the geocache hide.
Out on a Road Trip to complete a Challenge Cache and pick up the 10+ Fave Souvenir.
Mission complete, so now to find a few smilies before it is time to head home.

Found with raisinpig on our daily lunchtime caching jaunt. The streak is still going and is now long enough not to be called a mini-streak.
This is the final cache in the CO's wildlife series which provided a suitable distraction and now gets a FP from me.

Off to Blenheim with Kiwi Grandad for a days caching. Finally a song cache title that I got. Not only the song but also the link to the area. Wonders never cease.
Thanks capperz for the cache.

Some more zigging and zagging to get another of the new caches between the river and Rapaura Rd - at least at this end, the side roads are shorter as the river is closer to Rapaura Rd.
I sat in the car waiting for StreetWalker to find the cache but he took his time - he had almost run out of searching options before he laid hands on the cache. TFTC.

The irresistible delights of gracon (the product of a pig who has been feasting on grapes before being processed into delicious bacon) for breakfast proved my undoing and I was beaten by the now engine and 4 wheels powered tS. Nice themed series. TFTC capperz
[green] {FTF} What a difference having a car makes! At the end of today I have 17 FTFs in only three days! So this time, when I got the email, I ran out the door with the car keys and left the bike behind. This one took me ages to find, until I clicked and looked a little further away.
