Family holiday time...loaded up with bicycles to find some fun tracks. A couple nights Kaikoura, a couple in Blenheim & then finally a couple nights in Richmond.
After a couple nights in Kaikoura it's now time for a couple nights in Blenheim. After an afternoons bicycle ride around the town section of the river track we came back to our accommodation for some tea and then a wee walk.....quick find and sign here. Played poo sticks for a bit before heading back to our cabin for the night. Thanks.

A great 2 weeks of travelling the south island it's been amazing great weather only 1 half day if wind and rain nearly 500 caches found over the time incredible views tftc a quick find here I thought I had it sorted by the hint prior to approaching and yes I did but then it was an ahha moment tftc great place and area to explore hope to visit again the Sourh Island soon. No muggles around only traffic zooming by none caring what I was up to tftc signed the log and placed it back exactly where I found it. Had to get this cache it was only a road away from where we had to go

It has been 154 days since I last found a cache, 155 was my highest streak of not finding one, and I didn't want to go above that, so I've got in, just in the nic of time! Dropped daughter off at new job at the bakery in Grovetown and decided this was the one I would get. I have been down this road many times. A friend has folks who live down here, and she used to live there too. I might try and do a short streak while I'm on holiday this week- a finding streak this time though! Tftc.

#6709. I am back in Blenheim once again on a day trip from Wellington to attend several meetings. These went on a lot longer than usual so just as well I had booked the late flight home. Still time for 2 hours of geocaching before heading back to the airport. Surprised I haven't looked for this one previously. Maybe it was missing? Today it took about a minute to be in the correct spot. Signed the log and replaced the cache where found. Thanks GH6710 for the cache.

27-Feb-19
I kind of knew what to look for but still took a few minutes. Back in place again.

27-Feb-19
This geocacher reported that there is a problem with this cache. Still all intact but may I suggest some of that magic grey tape around the outside of the container to hold the magnets in place on the outside. They had joined together, as magnets do, inside down one end, reducing its sticking power. If I am passing by with some tape i'll give it a go if you want.

I had an opportunity to go to the South Island and take a week off work and do some caching while Mrs Yeetrees had to go to the ANZEG Conference 2018 which was being held in Nelson.

Day 8: Blenheim to Picton. Today was the last day that we had in the South Island on this trip and we need to drive from Blenheim to Picton to catch the Ferry back home, we needed to be at Picton by at 1 pm. We decided that we would pick up a few caches along the way if the opportunity arose.

After finding GC6JXBG - A few of my favourite things Challenge (Marlb), this was the next cache that I had on my list that I wanted to find today. As we neared the GZ, Mrs Yeetrees managed to find a safe parking spot not too far from GZ, from there it was a very easy walk to GZ.

Arriving at GZ with my invisibility cloak on (HiVis), no one paid any attention as to what I was doing. Once at GZ, I checked to make sure the area was clear and then I had a quick look at the hint and soon spotted something and soon realised that it was the cache.

Managed to retrieve the cache, signed and then replaced the cache back where I found it. Thanks GH6710 for placing this cache here and for bringing me to this spot, TFTC TNLNSL (13677). A great spot for a cache, thank goodness that it was a Saturday and there were many muggles around.

Today is the last day of my cache raid in Blenheim. Decided to start at Spring Creek before heading out to the Wairau River mouth. Had just signed off a couple of puzzles and noticed that this P&G was nearby so a quick diversion was made. The scraps of paper that were serving as a log had passed their use by date, so I left a fresh new log on a new baggie. All good. TFTC.

A quick and easy find. Thanks

A weekend away, first this month!! Up to Sunny Blenheim to do some walking and caching. Friday night drive took forever, there must have been a dozen sets of traffic lights along the way. A great day today though so the Friday drive was worth it.

Thanks to the CO's for placing and maintaining these caches. Cheers.

This area is so rich with caches, at this stage I was thinking I might try for a 50 finds day. This one added to my total. Thanks GH6710

07-Sep-17
I knew where I needed to go, but where-oh-where have all these cars come from? Knocking-off time at the vineyard perhaps.

Having taken a few minutes pretending to take a call, I dived in for the find.

A quick, easy spot.

Thanks

2 days in Picton and Blenheim and driving in the surroundings ...

And on the way around the world I also found this cache.
I strolled over to ground zero and searched for a short time and found the container.
The coords are right on the mark. The cache is in good condition and the log paper is nice and dry. I took nothing, left nothing, and signed the log paper.
I carefully replaced the cache at the same place.

*thanks to GH6710 for your cache*

At the moment Pfote and me are on a work and travel backpacking trip through the world. After more than two years in Australia we took the chance to be so close to New Zealand, which is the farthest place on earth from our home. So we hopped over and will travel at least most of the south island in the upcoming months.

On the way to the nearby letterbox we we're accidently sent here by the navigation. Sorted the problem out but of course, as we were already here, grabbed this box as well.

TFTC and greetings from Germany.

Today we mostly targeted PnG caches to help boost our July numbers to go towards a challenge in the North Island, The weather was sunny but still with a chilly wind so was always warmer in the car than out of it. We managed 57 cache finds and ended the night on a high note with a FTF in the fresh snow and dark at St Arnaud.Big GrinBig Grin Overall we totaled 107 finds for the weekend - blowing the challenge out of the water! Cool
I made the terrain harder on myself here as it looks like others have done unnecessarily aswell. Quickly seen from a different angle than intended, Thanks for the cache Smile

Out geocaching on the east side of SH1 between Pukaka Valley and Blenheim with Kiwimykl. He already has this one which could have made it easier for me, but I didn't need his help for a QEF as it was lying on the ground. KM said it should be 'uryq va cynpr ol n vaivfvoyr sbepr' but the 'zntargf' were missing so I replaced it as best as I could.

This one wasn't in the target area, but it was on the way back to it after lunch.
