Cache disappeared, unable to get there to update

Tried looking, but no luck. With all the dnf in the logs, we didn't look for long.

However, thank you for bringing us to an amazing collection of art. We spent some time looking through all the sculptures in the garden and then the ones inside the gallery as well before talking to the owner in the workshop. So, still a very satisfying visit even though we did not find the cache.

Day1976 and I cached around Bunyip, due to our previous idea having been thwarted by too many people..
Whilst doing the adventure lab we figured we would do the cache here too, unfortunately it was found on top, with a crack in the lid and no logbook. Unable to sign but sent photo to CO.

31-May-20
We were brought here by the local adventure lab. While here, we decided to find the cache too.

We found the cache container (we think), but it was broken and there was no log book in itt. Have sent the picture to the CO for confirmation.

TFTC!

Sitting at my computer during these Covid lockdowns, I am trying to catch up on a few logs that I haven't sent in yet.

Over the years, geocaching has taken me on many adventures, including interesting destinations all over my home continent of Australia and many overseas as well. It has also introduced me to a diverse group of like-minded caching tragics, many of whom I now call close friends.

Today, I was lucky enough to be out and about searching for caches, something I do on almost a daily basis. This was one cache that was targeted and found.

Sorry for the late log, something I am notorious for. Thank you for adding to the adventure that is geocaching.

Thanks Stanway family for the cache.

This was completely unexpected. An art gallery in this area was the last thing I expected, but certainly looked interesting as I pulled into the car park.

Pretty soon Laurie and his dogs were greeting me. I told him he was a geocacher and he said he wouldn't give me any clues. We then had a chat about his art work and then he left him with his dogs showing the way around the outdoor gallery.

After walking around checking out the artifact, I then walked towards GZ, and must have came from the correct angle as I could easily see it walking up.

Then it was back to have another chat with Laurie and see his new indoor gallery that opens tomorrow.

Thanks for the cache Stanway family

Genghicat sent me in to fetch the cache while he kept the car running. I however found myself captivated by the artwork and he had to come retrieve it himself. Sometime later we emerged with new ideas for my new home. We both love metal work. The cache was found in good condition. Tftc

Last time we came here I misread the clues. This time we got to meet Laurie and have a walk around the gallery and the garden. The Geokids preferred to play with the dogs.

On a day trip through Jindivick to see some wonderful open gardens and a local market, we paused here to view the sculpture art openly on display. As we strolled through I deviated of course to make a very easy find of a good sized cache just laying on the ground. With the log signed it was just a matter of hiding it better than it was found, but not knowing how or where this was, I simply placed it in a spot that I would assume it to be. TNLNSL. TFTC. KKams

A lovely afternoon to cache! There was a new art exhibition to view and I found two sculptures to start saving for!!!!!!! I have two of Laurie's work already. Left a spinner for the next person to find. Thank-you for an enjoyable still and cache. And it was my first ever find!

Arrived to be greeted by the affable Laurie who gave us a great run down on the property and the studio and even offered to show us some plasma cutting in action. So we strolled, took photos, found the cache, visited the studio. There's some great stuff in there. Didnt have time to check out the plasma cutting so will have to come back later. I'm thinking of buying a laser cutter myself.

Called in here after Chrissie lunch at Shady Creek with Geokids asleep. The gizmo kept jumping me around and becoming frustrated, the Geokids woke up. So a DNF blue face means we will return but to wander around the garden and get a yellow face on our map.

Hubby, kids and I had a great time doing this cache! Kids loved seeing all the sculptures and our son had a great time playing with the dog that lives there. Thanks for a fun find! Smile

11-Mar-17
On a day out caching with caze82 & kids, we found 8 caches. This was the final, and was much more interesting than we expected.

The cache itself was unremarkable, but the location was great! We had a great time wandering around the sculpture garden, and the artist even made a small metal piece for each of the kids.

It was great to see all sorts of old bits of junk being turned into sculptures.

Thanks for the cache, and for making us stop here Smile

Staying at Jindivick with the in laws, and as we go for a walk somewhere different everytime, this was our chosen walk and cache for the day. I loved every sculpture in the garden. As the inlaws are locals, they know the owner Laurie Collins and so had a good chat with him. We also went into the gallery of which there was a quilt display. A thoroughly enjoyable outing. tftc stanway family

What a brilliant place for a stop off. Having being rained off the nearby rail trail Mummy Short Legs and I decided to take the kids to Jindi for a good feed and on the way grab a cache or two. We'd pulled off into this one hoping for a quick stop. 20 mins later, a nice long natter with the artist himself, two purchases and a lot of balls thrown for the dogs later we were on the road again. Thanks for the really interesting wander and a neat little cache besides. Swapped a key ring for a maze game.

Today was an adventure. Kato Potato and I had set off from Traralgon to complete a walk for charity; the Country Women's Association Women Walk the World event; that was to be held along the Crossover-Rokeby Rail Trail. Even better, we were to give our fellow CWA women a lesson in geocaching before the walk commenced, and find many of the caches hidden along the trail. Alas, the rain arrived, geocaching became unpleasant, my toddler and baby were becoming soaked and it was too much. We abandoned ship and decided to warm ourselves at the Jindivick Tavern.

This cache was on our round-about driving route and the rain had parted so we stopped to let the toddler run around. The two dogs mentioned before barked and approached but they are SO FRIENDLY!!! They made best friends with the toddler who delighted in throwing their ball while we explored the sculpture garden. It's quite a delight here and we enjoyed it so much, we came away with some small treasures ourselves. The cache was found, thanks for that Stanway family, but we must admit the location this time outweighed the find. Thanks for bringing us here.

This is the 3rd of 4 caches we didn't find today. Twisted[:(!]
[red]When we arrived at the car park we were confronted by two large barking dogs so we didn't even attempt to get out of the car.

It's such a pity as the local artist lost out on some business today

We were heading to the Noojee pub for lunch with The Coffee's and a muggle friend. Mr Coffee said there is a new cache just been published only a couple of km's behind us. A very quick discussion and the pub won, thinking it would be there when we came back through.
Unfortunately the pub was warm the food great and we stayed longer than we planned and when we finally got here we were greeted by the Bounty Trackers coming back from signing the log and claiming the FTF.
We have visited here many times and were even thinking of placing a cache here ourselves once, but out side. This was much better as we got to have another look at some the fantastic creations.
Many thanks Stanway Family for bringing us back here.

It seems like such a long time since a FTF was up for grabs so close by.
I didn't read the email until after work (4.30pm) and then I had to sort kids to hockey training before I had a chance to get out to this one. I figured although there were no logs yet, there was no way the likes of Bounty Trackers and a few other locals would let a FTF so nearby get away. I was right!! No FTF for me but enjoyed the excitement of a possible FTF.
We had a little time to take the walk and check out the sculptures while we were here. They are certainly creative and prompted lots of discussion. Thanks for bringing us here. TFTC

(FTF)

This cache popped up while I was doing a job on Abbotsford, dam it alway when your out of town when new cache pop up in this area. So I finished the job and on my way back to Warragul I checked to see if anyone had logged it yet and I was surprised there wasn't any logs but that doesn't mean some hasn't sign the log sheet. So I came up Jacksons Track to get to the cache didn't need GPS as I new what property the cache was going to be at pulled up in carpark and wandered over to gz to find a empty log but I was just about to leave when a car load of cachers turned up Team Crackers & Mr Coffee so it turns out that having another beer at the Noojee pub just cost them a ftf. Sl thanks to the Stanway Family for the cache in a great spot. Love all the art work posted a photo of the best one .Will give it a fav point.

We were invited out for a easy and relaxing day and a nice lunch at the Noojee pub with team Crackers and two muggle friend. We were driving too the pub when I saw a new cache had been published only 5km away and it was unanimously decided to go for it later, with the thought that no one would be in the area on a weekday.
We had a great lunch and a few extra drinks before heading off for this cache on the trip home.
We arrived at the cache location and noticed a person nearby, however as we got closer we realised it was Bounty Trackers was had signed the FTF log only 5 minutes earlier.
We were happy to settle for a 2TF and we wandered around looking at the artwork before heading home.
Our thanks to Stanway Family for the cache, a favorite for this one.
