Spring Victorian IncursionDay One: Gumeracha to KanivaWeather: showers, rainbows and gales force winds. The weather was turning nasty again at this point, and this cache was a bit of a dash. The canola on the other side of the road is starting to bloom and will look spectacular soon; my photo is in the non photogenic direction. Ive only got a vague idea of what a JLWE involves, and this cache was fine by me!Thanks again Michells&hound.
Found this cache whilst on our two month adventure throughout central Australia and remote parts of WA.After doing the nearby lab in town we stopped here for a quick find. Thanks to all the COs for adding to our adventure. TFTC

Suscoe was heading to Bordertown today and we were in the company of Phetlern after catching up with them earlier in the day.
The day dried up after crossing the border.
The farmlands are so green with a bit of water sitting here and there.
Thanks to Michells&hound for this hide.

Day 5 travelling from QOGM Cunnamulla to Millicent Mega with Wollaston and Liz & Bruce. Touring from Loxton through lush green landscapes and river lands of Clare Valley food bowl, Mallee districts and Coonawarra wine country towards the coast. Thankful we were already off the Strzeleki Track as the supercell storm passed over the area. The rain finally caught up and set in at Loxton washing the red dust off, hanging around and cooling down the daily temp. Rugging up, we continued pecking off random caches for leg stretches and points of interest. Logs signed SB.

Travelled to Mundulla for the weekend to kill 3 birds with one stone. Surprise a very dear friend and attend her Celebration event, have some R&R away in the van AND find some caches! Day 2 and this morning we headed out with hevwaker, Lib & scramping. This was a nice quick find. TFTC
Found with hevwalker, LiB and SnappyTomCats on our second visit to Mundulla. We did a few last night but returned to help with some maintainance for fellow cacher and grab some more smileys. We had a great time exploring the Mundulla area. I haven't been here before and was amazed at the sculptures and great history in this area. TFTC
This weekend, I visited Bordertown for the community celebration event. During the morning, it was a trip to Ngarkat Conservation Park, before joining everyone at the event while it bucketed it down with rain. The afternoon was spent visiting Wolseley and Mundulla. The following day, it was a trip north up the SA border to Pinnaroo, and an exploration of the vicinity via Mootatunga, Karte, Billiatt, and Lameroo. A return home via the highway allowed stops in Geranium, Jabuk, Peake, Sherlock, and Moorlands, arriving home well after dark.
Today, I joined Brad&Janet, Freddo, and Laighside Legends, to visit Ngarkat for a few geocaches that had recently been placed. That took more time than anticipated, and it was then a expedited trip to Bordertown to celebrate geocaching at the celebration event. It was quite the turnout, and once the weather became clear in the afternoon, I joined a few others to check out Wolseley, and then finished the day exploring Mundulla and the vicinity by myself. Some tracks were quite muddy and slippery, with the rain returning in the late afternoon.
A quick park and grab on my way out from Mundulla. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Note that the logbook bag was split open, but the logbook appeared to still be dry. Thanks Michells&hound for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

a few caches along the way. Once in town we dropped off the caravan and picked up the 4 outstanding caches for us here.

Day 8 of this years Christmas holiday trip. Canberra to Adelaide to Melbourne to Canberra collecting answers to several of the windmill cache multi's. Today we travelled to Kingston SE to the Big Lobster then back to Bordertown before stopping at Kaniva for the night. This one was a nice and easy to find on a very hot day, TFTC Michells&hound.

Needed this one to keep me on the right route for Mundulla, first time I have been on these roads. Wondered if the cache would be in a likely looking spot I saw from the other side of the road and it was. TFTC
Found with Geoturtle37, beckNmonts, The_Tritonz and micaparamedic. After leaving the border Track our little Victorian convoy was back together again with micaparamedic joining our merry crew. We also encountered sir_spectre who joined us for a while before heading off on his own trail. The cache was a quick, easy find and we were soon on our way again. Thanks for bringing us here and thanks for the cache.
day 3
The border track was the first target of the weekend and that was done yesterday. Today's target was the This is SA series. Having just completed the SA series it was now off to clear out Mundulla and some where along the way have lunch. quick find. I have now joined the convoy of 1/2 the victorian cachers from the border track event since i meet them at a different trad earlier.

With the Victorian's leaving the Red Bluff Campground after an awesome weekend in the Big Desert, we drove to the historical town of Mundulla to collect clues for the mystery tour multi as we picked up all the other caches in the area. As chance would have it we ran into sir_spectre at the first trad, so our convoy grew to 5 cars.

After completing the caches in the Little Desert ie This is SA, I headed back out this way for a bite to eat at Frances then head towards Mundulla to see how many I could find up this way.
After doing all the caches in town it was time to head out and find a few more on the outskirts of town.
Thanks Michells&hound TFTC.

Found with sharkiefan
Headed over the border into South Australia for a June Long Weekend caching trip to Meningie. To hit the ROTF trail (but we abandoned that after only 96 finds on it) Oh and to help sharkiefan make it to the big 10,000th smiley.
Today we were heading off back home via the back roads and to go via Mundulla as there is a nice cluster of caches to grab here.
This might be the Way to Mundulla, but after finding this one we had to chuck a U'ie and head back out the road for some more finds before getting into town.
taken the little TB croaking frog for for a trip.

Found with FUF009.
A quick find indeed. FUF009 has taken the frog TB.
Based in Meningie last night we were heading home the long way.
This weekend's mission was to get to 10,000 finds.
Initially the plans were to do the ROTF series, but a combination of not realizing that I was so close to 10,000, plus not wanting it to be a boring power trail cache for my big number AND the trail was on such a bad road with awfully incorrect hints and coords, so we abandoned the original plan at about 3pm and concentrated on just seeing the sights and finding what was along the way. It was much more fun.
The end of the weekend had me at 10,010 finds and quite pleased with the rest of my weekend.
I had found 5 types of geocache (trad, multi, mystery, letterbox and Earthcache) and seen some amazing wildlife and scenery. Basically the ideal caching trip.
