A letter box cache!Fun fun, thanks McKee ClanFound with the MEX24 Team - ConnieandRick, KristysAventures, Muzza, Sol de Lune and kbucky.
this letterbox was a little detour on our way to the border.it was a quick find but we didn't see any clues for the rest of the series..nice to see a bit of the back street and country side - thanks.
A nice quick find with the Mex24 group of Muzza, Sol de lune, Snips and Co, Kristyadventures and kbucky. Unfortunately we were heading elsewhere so the clue for the puzzle couldn't be used this time.
Found with the fun MEX24 crew - Sol de lune, ConnieandRick, Muzza, Snips and Co, and KristysAventures. Thanks to Connie for organising and Sol de lune and Snips and co for the 4wds. Gorgeous area and perfect time to be here with so many wildflowers on show.Thank you to the McKee Clan for your letterbox out hereRegardskbucky
Found in the company of Sol de Lune, ConnieandRick, Sips and Co, KristysAdventures and Kbucky while staying in Kaniva. A nice quick find here - just what the doctor ordered! Signed as Mex24.My thanks for the cache, McKee Clan.
A weekend caching in the area with kbucky, Muzza, Kristysadventures, Snips and Co and ConnienandRick. After the fun in Wolseley, we headed out for this one. Once at GZ the cache was a quick found and once the log was signed, we were off towards the This is SA series. Thanks for this one McKee Clan.
Travelling with iluvtrekking from our home state of WA. Have stayed in Naracoorte a couple of days and are ranging further during the day to grab some finds. Thanks McKee Clan
Travelling with richlink as part of our Annual Caravan Geocaching Trip.We are staying in Narracoorte for a few days, using geocaching as our tour guide. Thanks McKee Clan.
Wandering around here with weirdobiker not knowing what to expect given Im from the High Country so a rather splendid experience all up! TFTC and the fun.
I thought Id do a slight detour to collect this letterbox. When I pulled up I was a bit worried where it might be as there seemed to be an bee hive near this cache. Luckily GZ was far enough away to sign the log without any bees buzzing around.
A couple of days in Bordertown and we are enjoying exploring as we gradually make our way to Adelaide. We took a shortly tour this one, but then could not find the extra puzzle piece inside. Log signed. Thanks McKee ClanDomsky
Found after a quick visit to the lavender farm. After doing Meningie parkrun on Saturday, we headed halfway between Kaniva and Nhill to see our crazy running mate. He has run the length of NZ, Tassie and is now heading to Darwin. We overnighted at the Kaniva Caravan Park which had excellent facilities and made our way to Bordertown. McKee Clan, I found Lets Puzzle East Mundulla today. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache.* * * * * * *SAs Leap Year Event - GCA1DNA - keep the date free - 29th February 2024. Keep looking up!
Southern Autumn adventure Day 13. Post Mega South East SA trip Day 7. Today Fitzy_1965, MinnieK and I were leaving Millicent for Bordertown. Logs were signed F.A.M or similar as we first went for three tree caches we missed stopping at yesterday, before finally packing up at camp and driving via a string of towns and caches to Bordertown. Once set up there we headed back to Victoria to tackle the Little Desert puzzle caches that have been calling to us for a few years now. As the evening closed in we took a roundabout route back to town for some lab caches and a spot of sinner cooking.
Thanks for the cache McKee Clan

Day 12 of our loop through Vic and SA then home.
Today we were on the move from Millicent to Bordertown. fitzy_1965, albida33 & I headed out early to finish up the last of the caches in Millicent before heading for Naracoorte and then Bordertown. We signed as MAF or FAM to save room.
Our aim was to collect counties, oldies, AL’s and any interesting caches in-between. Once set up in Bordertown we headed out to the Little Desert. It was great driving around out there in no-man’s land. Certainly, a highlight.
All caches were found quickly and easily unless otherwise mentioned.

Rutherglen Mega and South Australia Trip Day 12. Today we headed out to grab our last few wanted great D/T caches around Millicent, before trekking up to Bordertown, setting up camp again, and heading into The Little Desert for yet more fun caches. This was the next find of the day, and a quick find once at GZ. Signed, replaced, and then we headed off to the next cache on our list.
Thanks McKee Clan !!

Three day Melbourne Dash
Day Three: Melbourne to Gumeracha
Weather: amazingly cool after yesterday, with light rain in Victoria.
A quick letterbox is not to be ignored, and since it was just 2km out of the way…. There were several open gates close to GZ, I think harvest has just happened, however close to sunset now and no humans were seen.
Thanks for all these letterboxes McKee Clan.

Heading up to Ngarkat for some caching & 4 wheeling fun, driving through heavy rain it subsided a little as I turned off the bitumen and headed towards the cache about a hundred metres from GZ the van began to slide sideways off the road which gave me quite a fright and after coming to a stop I began to wonder if I was going to spend the night here, and the good gravel surface had turned to greasy clay and tuning around was an unlikely option considering how much water was around and how soft the ground was. I signed the looked at my options attempted to clean my shoes and reversed back the length of the road.
Thanks McKee Clan for the adventure

Staying in Kaniva with our caravan club, we did a trip to Serviceton, after which we decided to travel further afield to check out the surrounding area. This cache was found quickly and easily in the obvious location.
Found it. Haven't done many letter box caches.Tftc. Great trees. On our way home to Adelaide after Christmas in Vic. Haven't deviated of the main highway before
Time to explore some roads less travelled today and found this cache after lunching in Bordertown, then heading toward Mundulla (the long way) .
Found in the obvious spot .

Nice to see this one had a puzzle piece .
Thanks again McKee Clan.

What a magnificent tree we found here. The surrounding paddocks are dry and dusty, so is the grass on the roadside. I spent to much time searching locations on the wrong side of the tree and then I had trouble extracting the cache from its tight fitting hiding place because a limb had fallen across the access to the cache.
Day 372 ( Friday 4th ) of our trip. Caching along the way. In Mundulla today. A total of 22 for the day and 6575 the trip. A grand total of 16,543 caches. TFTC
Travelled to Bordertown to attend hevwalkers Community Celebration event and afterwards cached around Mundulla and the surrounding area with scramping, SnappyTomCats & hevwalker.
It was awesome discovering the history dotted about the countryside.

Travelled to Mundulla for the weekend to kill 3 birds with one stone. Surprise a very dear friend and attend her Celebration event, have some R&R away in the van AND find some caches! After the event we teamed up with hewalker, LiB & scramping to tackle a few more. This was a quick find and apart from slipping all over the road to get to GZ we found the decoder strip!! TFTC

Headed to Bordertown today with Mrs. iowaPete. The thermometer decided to push higher today. HOT HOT HOT!! I've never experienced temps in the 40's before. Wow. Glad the air conditioner worked so well in the car. It was a long drive day, so our stops to find a cache or two were a nice break along the way. But! We only chased one, then retreated to the coolness of the car. Having come from a cold climate, the adjustment to the heat was a bit tougher for us!
We checked into our hotel for the night, grabbed a bite to eat, and realized that there was still about an hour of daylight left. The temps were starting to cool and we still had a little energy left to chase a couple more. I didn't think we'd found a Letterbox Hybrid yet and this cache was close enough for us to get to it before it got dark. Off we go!
Enjoyed the views of the countryside in the evening light. Lotsa sheep grazing contentedly as we passed. Turned onto the road to take us to gz and scared up a fox-like critter. We couldn't be completely sure as to what animal it was because it ran away from us like it was trying to break the sound barrier!
Great coordinates left us no doubt as to where to look and imagine my surprise when we discovered an honest-to-goodness Letterbox!! It's in great shape, too. Clean and dry inside. A spider on the outside of the cache startled me, but it didn't stay long either. Opened it up, signed the log book and then replaced everything as found.
Enjoyed our impromptu visit. Thanks!

Today was the final day of my trip down the south-east, and I was on my way back towards Adelaide from Mount Gambier. I had done a cave dive at Engelbrecht Cave, and once I had a snack, I decided to head back by some back roads east of Naracoorte. That is, a few *Rusty Rails* caches found and visited the towns of Kybybolite, Binnum, and Frances, before just managing to attend my planned Bordertown event. I then visited Mundulla and its surrounds. The state was in a total fire ban day today, and there were areas that I drove through with a smoky haze, evident of various fires in the region. A hot, hot day indeed.
I had to backtrack to do Hurtle's Mundulla tour multi-cache, and so decided to call into this letterbox hybrid cache. A great cache at GZ, and a nice hiding spot. I managed to grab the clue, and continued on my way. All in good shape, thanks McKee Clan.

Making my way slowing back home following the awesome St Arnaud Mega event...
This morning I was leaving Horsham...the conditions were catastrophic...windy...dusty...hot...
By the time I reached the Border the temperature had dropped by 20 degrees and the dust had settled...
A quick find at GZ today...

After spending a few days in and around Adelaide concentrating on Wherigo, Letterbox and large caches, it was now time to head for home with a stop here and there to find the odd cache.
I stopped at this one to see if I could find it and I did.

A trip east to Parkville 2018 had us stopping on the way to collect a few caches. Well that’s what cachers do when they head to a mega don’t they.

Day 3 of my latest road trip in Australia has me spending 5 days travelling through undiscovered regions in Vic and SA. Today I started in Naracoorte and finished in Swan Hill. 3 states today. 23 caches incl 1 EC, 2 Multi's and a letterbox hybrid. It started of rainy and stayed that way most of the day but not too bad and I stayed dry.
#4 - A quick stop here while making my way North. Targeted this Letterbox cache as I have a severe lack of numbers in that category. Thanks for the boost. I'll come back this way with more time to get the rest
Thanks McKee Clan

Since moving from New Zealand in 2016 I have been enjoying the area, exploring and finding caches.
So far I’ve knocked off 4 of the states. VIC, SA, NSW and A.C.T all multiple times.
No two areas are the same here and almost every place I go to is stunning. The beauty of caching is that it takes you to so many places you would never usually find.
Thank you to all the cachers out there for hiding and maintaining their caches. Especially to those who put so much effort into creating unique and fun hides.
I enjoy finding well maintained caches in fun and unique cache containers. No one likes finding a mint tin – but a find is a find after all.
Well she was an American girl
Raised on promises
She couldn't help thinkin' that there
Was a little more to life
Somewhere else
After all it was a great big world
With lots of places to run to
Yeah, an d if she had to die
Tryin' she had one little promise
She was gonna keep
Oh yeah, all right
Take it easy baby
Make it last all night
She was an American girl
It was kind of cold that night
She stood alone on her balcony
She could the cars roll by
Out on 441
Like waves crashin' on the beach
And for one desperate moment there
He crept back in her memory
God it's so painful
Something that's so close
And still so far out of reach
Oh yeah, all right
Take it easy baby
Make it last all night

Headed over the border into South Australia for a June Long Weekend caching trip to Meningie. To hit the ROTF trail (but we abandoned that after only 96 finds on it) Oh and to help sharkiefan make it to the big 10,000th smiley.
Today we were heading off back home via the back roads and to go via Mundulla as there is a nice cluster of caches to grab here.
Our Final cache for the Mundulla area and my final cache for this trip. Grabbing this letterbox was a great way to finish off another great South Australian trip.

Found with FUF009.
Our last in the Mundulla area. This one did have the clues in it. I do love a letterbox.
Based in Meningie last night we were heading home the long way.
This weekend's mission was to get to 10,000 finds.
Initially the plans were to do the ROTF series, but a combination of not realizing that I was so close to 10,000, plus not wanting it to be a boring power trail cache for my big number AND the trail was on such a bad road with awfully incorrect hints and coords, so we abandoned the original plan at about 3pm and concentrated on just seeing the sights and finding what was along the way. It was much more fun.
The end of the weekend had me at 10,010 finds and quite pleased with the rest of my weekend.
I had found 5 types of geocache (trad, multi, mystery, letterbox and Earthcache) and seen some amazing wildlife and scenery. Basically the ideal caching trip.

After attending a memorable 100th birthday for an old (pun intended) friend in Borertown this afternoon, Mr Ozjeeper teamed up with Aquilus1 for a late afternoon tour of the district to pick up a few geocaches. This was a quick, easy find but there was no sign of a stamp in the cache.
Having spent the afternoon in Bordertown celebrating the 100th birthday of my very active grandmother it topped off the day by heading out for the rest of the afternoon out for some local caches with OzJeeper. With the harvesting in the area at the moment there was a bit of machinary and vehicles here but no one about so could park easily for the cache. Another straight forward find had us back down the road to explore another area soon enough, thanks for the cache.
One of my last 3 in the area. A lovely drive out visiting some of the places need for info for my last multi. The cache was safe and sound. My visit is coming to an end tomorrow, so it was great to see the crops, cattle and sheep doing so well. SL TNLN TFTC.
Found by Mary & David at 1510. Day 2 of our month holiday to WA and back. Got ourselves bogged earlier while turning west off the border track. Thank goodness for the electric winch! After smashing out the trail we had some time left to explore and grab a few more caches so headed a little further west. A nice quick grab here and the puzzle clue was photographed. Alas I will need to complete this another time - we failed to find the one further north later on too. But that's ok - I love country drives
**Find # *3589* Letter Box # *26* **
GemmaSistema, wozzle68 and myself made plans for an adventure trip out west making our way to the this is SA series. We cached along the way and back having a blast while doing so. The weather was ordinary overnight but the morning was glorious, a great day to cache
After our successful trip in the Little Desert National Park, we made our way to bordertown, grabbing a few more caches along the way. A method I have seen used many times but always fun to find. We took note of the clue for any future trips out here.. A quick find. Signed and returned as found.
**Thanks for this letter box cache, McKee Clan** [^]
**Log and container in good condition.**
**Took Nothing, Left Nothing.**

This was the first of four letter box caches that we visited today. Accurate coordinates led to a quick find of an appropriate style cache container. The cache and contents were in good condition. We located the decoding information and determined the coordinates for the final in the series. Than ks McKee Clan for the cache.

After meeting up in Bordertown last night with Team Crackers, The Drovers and Micaparamedic we headed off to cache the SA series and some local caches. We found a variety of different caches and this was one of them.
We signed the log as CDKM as we made our way to Mannum for the night before we head further west.

Camped at Bordertown, with Team Crackers, Micaparamedic & Konie, for a new caching adventure.
Today, we picked up some really good hides, and a variety of cache types.
All caches signed and replaced, and a very enjoyable day was had.
Many thanks for placing this cache, McKee Clan, for us and others to find.

Out and about on a Wimmera expedition with Quasar3671 and the boys, Timmo98 and Bentley. Weather was real hot but not a scorcher. Love this part of Victoria with its vast beauty and diversity.
Awesome little hide!

This cache was found during a weekend adventure of caching, exploring and 4WD'ving with my two boys. We spent much of the weekend in and around the Little Desert National Park where we had an absolute ball. Today we teamed up with Jacko83 and Timmo98, meeting them just out of Dimboola before heading into the desert where our main goal for the day was to do the 'This is SA' series of puzzle caches. The weather was perfect and was nice and warm all day, with hardly a cloud in the sky.
A nice quick find as we made our way towards Bordertown for some lunch. Thanks for the cache McKlee Clan.

This cache was found as part of a 28 hour caching odyssey around the Wimmera and Upper South East with TT016. A total of 670 km was covered in the trusty old GQ Patrol on the way to 93 cache finds. Caches collected included the Rusty Rail Series and This is SA puzzles, which were all found at night!

Gathered the required information at one of the recommended sites. Headed into town and parked the geomobile near GZ. A short stroll later and Janet spied the cache.

Out with CPWanderer & Bindi the dog.
We snuck over the border to grab a cache & ended up caught in a drama instead.
We were glad to leave the scene behind us, but our morning evaporated quickly.
I needed to circumnavigate the tree before finding the postal box.
Thanks for the cache McKee Clan

On a quick two to three day get away by myself. Heading over to Tailem Bend and Murray Bridge to pick up a few smiley face along the way collecting mostly Earthcaches, Letterbox Hybrids, Wherigos and 'Finds by hidden month' I need to fill - Plus any others that are nearby any of the rarer types I'm after in boosting my numbers a little.
After leaving on Home on Sunday I was fortunate to have excellent weather on my side and a great run also traffic wise, which was great as it enabled me to get quite a lot of KM's done and caches done too while on my way to Tailem Bend for the night and get an early start on the trail in Murray Bridge.
After finding the previous letterbox, I now headed straight for this one as daylight will soon start fading
Thanks McKee Clan for the cache
Log signed and cache replaced as found. TFTC & smiley face

Thanks to the McKee Clan and their team for the fantastic JLWE and for leaving these caches in place for us to find. With so many caches now in the area it is a well worth while trip to visit or stay at Mundulla to cache and check out this lovely town. SL TFTC
