Am on call today for work so couldnt venture to far away. Thankfully there are some new caches near town. Wanted this cache to fill a multi dot day. Have previously looked for it without success so pleased that today I had the cache in hand within a minute. Cache and log all fine. Thanks for the smiley
We were up at Taylor Dam for a couple of caches so stopped off here on our way back to gather info for the final just down the rd. Quick snag and tag at GZ. CheersTeamed up with Bullertrout for some caching around Blenheim area
**20,276**This was a nice easy one stage multi but once we had worked out the final we continued on up the road for a couple more caches before returning to collect the find. Surprisingly we pulled up right next to it and Mrs Geckoh had it in hand within a minute or so. Forgot to log until now as was struggling with signal. Thanks for a fun multi and a very clever cache hide. Worth a favourite point for effort. TFTMC
Solved the first clues, found the potential location but couldn't locate the cache this time
We were in Blenheim today just for the day as GK had a new work toy to pick up. We planned to do a bit of shopping and a bit of geocaching before heading for home.
We had done all the shopping we could cope with so headed a bit further out of town.
We often drive right pat multis as we tend to stuff them up more often than not, but since this one had some favourites we thought we would have a look at it before going for a bit of a walk.
The numbers were soon sorted and we soon ended up at a spot that had the potential to match the hint. GK soon spotted it and had it in hand, the next thing was to access the log, my long fingernails didn't do the trick this time so a wee stick was used and it immediately popped the log out.
We thought we would go and find a few more caches in the area before the weather that had been threatening to rain closed in.
Thanks for the cache and thank you for the smiley.

No luck today.
My check sum was only 18 so went to the indicated and there were some good hint items, but not good enough.

No luck last night but it was pitch black and I was using phone torch, so not giving up yet .
Thanks for putting out this multi-cache for woolwood9 and I to find!

*Another good cache located, now onto the next one!*
Fun multi, took a bit to find the good final hide!

Took longer to get the log out of the cache than it did to solve for GZ!

frustration as I hoped for this to be my first multi but it wasn't meant to be.
The solving was the easy part for me. 1-2-3 that's done, got some nice coordinates and went to check it out. Where is this thing ??? I know it's supposed to be tricky but I can't find it. My second visit was the same so I talked nicely to some previous finders that helped out a little but on my third visit I still had no luck even though those finders had been kind enough to look again themselves and confirm it is still there. So, I convinced them for another hint and then I had it on my forth visit. How did I miss this ??? I am sure I checked there, or did I ??? Who knows, I've got it now and that brings up my 700. Thanks Arandee for the search challenge.
I couldn't resist this one, lots of favourite points, 2 years lonely and a CO check. Once I had the final Coordinates (which took a while because I can't count) it was a pretty quick find. Tftc
This has to be wait a bit longer for the next successful post. We checked all places at GZ, could not find any wholes or removable items in any of the objects there. Obviously a very good hide.
Checked gz for sign of tampering. The cache is in the original position, unmuggled and crying out for signing. I have increased difficulty to 3.5 due to several souls not finding success. It is still there but not in a pampas bush.
We stopped to work out the cache and then carried on a little further to grab it on the way back. After there was nothing around the very obvious rock we read the hint relieved we wouldnt have to look there and expanded our search. We had a pretty good idea where to look but couldnt find anything and was loosing dayligh so havd to move on. Its been 17months ince it was last found, maybe its worth a look. Thanks anyway.
Gathered the information at the posted coords with crman and eltee291 and then we headed over to look for the cache! Was very tricky but we found it after a couple minutes of searching. Awesome camo job. Very cool. Signed the log and replaced as found. Visiting from Canada. Thanks for the great multi cache! A favorite!
Tricky find this afternoon with hingis20 and crman1. We gathered the required info quickly and then headed to GZ to get the cache. Very nicely disguised and hidden away in there. TFTC
Had to do my good friends' multi. It was meant to be #1300 but I logged another by mistake before it. Silly me! Ably assisted in the detail by Meghan and Blair. Great cache container too. Thanks Arandee!
I'd taken a photo of the sign when I was passing in March last year and worked out the final location at home. With a few DNFs I was expecting something tricky and I wasn't disappointed. That said It was a reasonably quick find. Cheers and TFTC
Checked cache after a DNF and period of inactivity. He is all safe and sound and crying out for some more smiley faces. Added a sum total for extra help.
Decided to go out for a family day of geocaching before the wild weather hit. Started here but despite searching high and low, could not find anything between the 4 of us.
Will try again another time.

I solved this multi ages ago, but decided to save the final as I was only doing a cache a day to keep my streak going last year. Now that that is over I'm slowly getting around and finding the handy caches that I had been saving up just in case. A tricky hide here, well deserving of a Favourite Point. I was able to fashion up a suitable log removal tool from a stick, and add my name to the log. The dogs enjoyed their walk this evening around various bits of Blenheim chasing elusive caches.
Thanks for the effort that has gone into making this cache.

Took two attempts to find this one! Actually overlooked it the first time thinking it wasn't the cache... Oops. TFTC!
Found this with G1ANT on the second attempt. Kicking myself for not spotting it the first time - having seen a similar one on the West Coast recently, I thought I knew what I was looking for. But then it wasn't... but then it was. Should have persisted with the idea in the first place! Anyway great cache, thanks.
PAF saved Mrs SoBad - although looking at the number of favourite points might have done the trick if she had spotted them.
Got to the Waypoint and she was fairly certain she had the right values although one alternative she thought unlikely was written down. GZ looked fine with an obvious spot to look. However no cache. Hmm.
She then wondered if she had mucked up the new coordinates but PAF confirmed she was in the right area - and that the hide was non standard. Grr... poor reading of the whole listing meant she had missed that was the case given the favourite points.
The cache find was then quick as she stopped looking in the obvious spot and avoided the thngs she had been told to avoid.
Thanks... and an extra favourite point for the sneaky hide.

This appeared to be a quick easy multi until I got to the final and couldn't find the cache anywhere. The hint was of limited use but at least avoided blood loss. I walked off muttering and thinking to the nearby traditional cache and then returned for another look here. Nope no sign of it. I finally extended my search area and found the crafty hide. GPS read 21m standing at the cache so maybe I screwed up somewhere on the easy multi part. Very happy to walk away with a find here.
Thanks Arandee for the cache.

On the road to the MEGA - Day #1
I decided to venture up and over the Taylor Pass and then on in to the Awatere on my way to Kaikoura.
I did the numbers and got something wrong Headed off to the Bridge Trad and then afterwards I spotted a likely hint item and made a quickish find.
An excellent hide.

Found on 08 Aug 2015, logged on 22 Jan 2016.
22 Jan 2016 - Out and about with hubby (Kiwimykl) collecting smiley faces around Blenheim. He already had this one from the early days of its listing and according to the pocket query he ran for me, I didn't. However when we stopped to get it, I said I'm pretty sure I've logged this one and when we checked the log, sure enough, I had.
Sorry for the late log and TFTC R&D.

We had contemplated going to the West Coast to do a "maintenance run" on our geocaches there but with all these newer ones over this way the other trip was put on hold for the time being. Besides, we hadn't been down this valley since our Molesworth trips back in the summer. All logs were signed either H+H or HZ HM to save space.
After an enjoyable trip down the Awatere Valley we took this alternative route back to Blenheim. This was one of the last few caches we found for the day. Commonsense eventually told us what type of container we should be looking for and the find was very quick after that. Thank you Arandee.

We have wanted to clean up the Awatere Valley for some time (again). It was decided to wait until the flood of new placements eased. We left Nelson in total darkness with a frost. The day turned out to be sunny. The list was 46 caches. It resulted in a score of cachers vs muggles: 45-1. We thought that our timing was perfect but at the starting coords it was still muggle central. I should have taken my hi-viz jacket to blend in! After assembling the final coords the usual hiding places didn't deliver so we clicked up a notch and realised where to look when a small irregularity was noted. Very crafty container and excellent hide. A fav. Thank you Arandee.
Really liked this cache as it was different to all the BORING nanos around the Malborough region ! Liked the multi capperz and I had just finished the family walk and were exiting when he said "there's another one to find yet" so we walked up the road a little bit got the answer/co-ordained and started searching for the cache, we searched low and high, behind and in- front but to no avail we came back empty handed, so we were able to get a fellow catchers help and find out that our gps was leading U.S. On a wild chase! We finally found the cache and were really pleased with it really likes the cache; wish I had fp's but oh well T F T C
Another walk along the nearby lovely little walkway this morning after yesterdays trip to the Taylor Dam. There were bikers aplenty atop the danm this morning so we only walked from the bridge to the dam then turned round, back under the bridge, across the stepping stones, then back to the car. In between there was time to find the Meadowbank cache . Back to the car now and a walk along to get the required info for the multi thogh i had suspicions where the final G Z might be. Hadn't changed coordinates on the cellphone cache app either before so that was a novelty too. After searching many of the possible hide locations I resorted to the dreaded, but necessary, P A F option. Aprevious finder was willing and able to help and the accompanying nightowl19 was able to make the find fairly quickly with new info.
A nice little hide and the camo is well matched to it's environment.

A nice quick multi especially so as there was no stuff up with the math. Really good hide here. TFTC #6904
If there is any way that a multi can be stuffed up I will find it. No such problems here. The coordinates were quickly calculated and, given what a good hide it was, the cache was quickly found. Thanks !
I checked out this cache late last week and had a DNF. Yesterday I had a discussion with a previous finder, and although he didn't really help me, he did say I was looking in the right area. Today I went back with Raisinpig and the first place I checked was the second place I checked last time.
I won't say why I didn't get it the first time as it will provide too big a hint on the cache location. So I'm happy to realise that my geocaching sense was on the spot and after seeing it, Raisinpig is happy she came along with me today.
I am in the aviation industry and one of the first rules pilots are taught is to trust your instruments. This lesson can be applied here because the GPS coordinates are spot on.
Another bonus is that I now only need one more multi to qualify for a challenge cache I am currently working on.
Like others before me, I think this cache is deserving of a favourite.

Came up here last weekend and worked out final location. Has a wee look with no luck - and left for another day.... Today was that opportunity - with Kiwimykl and I out on a lunchtime cache hunt to further our streaks. He had also had a look around GZ with no luck - so was good to have another set of eyes today. I didn't even have time to open my eyes before kiwimykl located the cache.
Log was carefully extracted and signed - nice hide

Back with boss half of team. She expanded the search and found....seems we either both counted wrong or more likely, our GPS up to its tricks again.
Good cache, thanks for putting it together.

Numbers seemed straight forward, and I was at a spot that fitted cache pgae perfectly. Found a couple of containers, but not the cache.
No idea, and in the end, all the looks from passing traffic made me decide to leave....for another time maybe.
Cheers.

[green] Had two looks now, but both were sub-standard. One was on the way to work - pitch black, caching by torchlight. The other was over lunch break, which allowed me just 10 minutes, if that. I'll be back!

[green] Back at work after lunch. I send the CO an email as I suspect maybe there is a typo in the math, even though the final looks good. Reread the cache description. Have I missed something? Turns out I had - there are two subtle hints... and suddenly I knew what it was! Back out to the cache site after work and within a minute I had my hands on the cache. Dammit! Second! For anyone else having trouble finding this cache, here is another subtle clue... It gets a favourite from me!
Wish I had read the cache description properly the first time! [:(!] [:(!] [:(!]

::::: *FTF* ::::: Hooray! FTFs are few and far between for us. Saw midday that The Seagnoid had had no luck, waited for Mr W to knock off for the day and thought we would stop by on the way out for dinner just on the off-chance that this hadn't been found. Got through the first stage easily but had to approach GZ from a couple of different angles. Mr W was delighted to make the find and luckily, Mrs W had a leatherman in her handbag (as you do ...) to extract the little log. TFTC. A beauty +1 from us.
