Unfortunately slippery has gone away somewhere. The cache had had a good innings so I will archive to clear the way for others to play

Out this afternoon collecting some caches along Swansea Road in the gloomy conditions. I searched here for a good 40 minutes with no luck - I must be going blind. I did find a pen laying on the ground which is usually an indicator there is a cache nearby, but nothing. I will try again soon...
After looking in the wrong spot for a bit, I expanded my search radius and the cache was soon in hand. All in good condition. TFTC
Some free style caching by stealth bike today chasing random caches. Looked for some time then spotted it.. nice. Thanks to Gunks for the placement and fun.
Found on 31 Mar 2019 at 2:24 pm.
The weather was absolutely terrible yesterday and not much better today. Constant showers but I headed out anyway for a few hours. The good thing about the cold and showers ... no muggles made for pretty uninterrupted searches pretty much everywhere. That made up for the bad weather.
I parked in the nearby car park waypoint to do the final 3 for the day.
A bit scary this one...but I assumed it wasn't because it was pretty cold and a strange time for it to be sunning itself.
Thanks Gunks for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.

I question this one with kids in tow. Perhaps if I had read the title properly. The youngest geokid was desperate to find one as the older two were beating him to it. Having kept the hint just for him he was giving up hope. Then panic, Dad stops the kids coming any closer. There was only the tiniest bit of a snake showing in the dried leaves. Spent all day telling them to watch out where their feet are landing given the heat we've been having. We're always trying to teach them to respect the wildlife so wanted to show them what to look for. Not the species I was expecting around here though.
The hardest part of this cache was finding a spot to park the car. I come down from Old Gippsland rd and then into Hull rd as I head into work. Nowhere to pull over on Hull road so a careful scrutiny of google street view revealed an access driveway off Swansea rd just past Birmingham rd.
With the car safely parked I headed onto the trail. I never knew this lovely area existed. A lovely bucolic setting spread out before me, with some local farm animals looking surprised to see me heading up the path towards them.
I enjoyed the walk to GZ and the camo was fun. I'm looking forward to trying more in this series. Log book is so full I had trouble finding a space to sign. I squeezed in my name but it was not easy. New log needed urgently please.

This cache was unfinished business due to my fear of snakes and long grass.
Finally got it.

TFTC!
Smart little hide! Log needs replacing however.
Number 50! With lots more to come

Indeed no paper and a hibernating or dead snake seemed to be guarding it. Only noticed the snake after I touched it, of course...
I was on my way home and decided to look for a few caches. I have driven past this series for a long time, but today I made a start. This one really was an eek moment even though I suspected what I was looking for! TFTC
First time that I have walked this trail . Some interesting scenery along the way . This was a very slippery find . Thanks Gunks
I was over in this general area this afternoon which is unusual for me so I decided to come after some particular caches I needed to complete a couple of challenge caches I am working on... this being one of them. It took me a little while of hunting before I spotted it... and a little courage to pick it up!
The **Gunks** for putting this one out there...

Took us a little longer than it should have but what a great day for kicking up the leaves.
Found it guessed what I was looking for but still a seconds hesitation before signing it. Tftc
Well now im glad i didnt find this when i was alone. We were running away when i realised what we had done.lol TFTC
You bastardo. After meeting you while in a galaxy far far away and proudly having your path tag, my cache lover and I thought to do some of your other caches. I’ve seen a lot of these in the wild but not quite this coloring. No wing some bark this turned up and I ran backward with vocal warning. Wysteria May was worried that I’d been bitten. Yes by the prankster. Heart returning to normal rate I’ll sign now.
Sunny day, walking dry veg... I proved with this cache that my heart is capable of beating impossibly fast. Sitting on the track recovering - great hide Gunks!
Slipped and fell in the creek.
Just kidding.
Found, in good condition.
Thanks for the cache Gunks.

All clues matched the area we were looking, but we search for about half an hour and could not find it. Looks like a nice spot to hide one, but we (as a dad and a 9, a 7 and a 5 year old) just weren't up to searching for any longer.
The kids were excited to find this after reading some of the logs. Nice cache in a great place.
Took teh cache for a coulle of days whilst in fear it may get washed away in the predicted floods. Will place back next week
I originally found this cache with my Mum heymissjo, but now that I have my own account, I am logging. Thanks for the cache.
For the past few years I have cached as part of "team heymissjo", but now I am old enough to have my own account so logging the find. Thanks for the cache.
I aborted the search when I spotted a bandy bandy snake relaxing near the GZ.
In Australia Geocaching is not without danger considering the snakes, spiders, scorpions etc.

With Cup day off it didn't take much thought as to what I should do. Loaded the bike into the car and headed into the hills.
Third stop after back tracking and crossing the road. Spotted the cache from my bike but still gave it a careful poke to make sure before picking it up.
Thanks for the cache

Since moving from New Zealand I have been enjoying the area, exploring and finding caches.
So far I’ve knocked off 4 of the states. VIC, SA, NSW and A.C.T
No two areas are the same here and almost every place I go is stunning. The beauty of caching is that it takes you to so many places you would never usually find.
Thank you to all the cachers out there for hiding and maintaining their caches. Especially to those who put so much effort into creating unique and fun hides.
The caches I’ve found in Australia so far have for the most part all been in great condition. Keep up the good work.

Final of five caches we found this afternoon on our ride from Lillydale Lake to Montrose.
We were getting a bit tired by now so we're glad to make a quick find, then jump back onto our bikes for the trip home.

Out with xambo4u, this was an extremely quick find. Not at all my favourite. Thanks Gunks.
Out and about for the day with Echidna44. Thought we would clear out some in the east. We parked in a picnic area and decided that this was a part of our walk for the day. Spotted the slippery item straight away but still approached with care. These items always gives me the creeps.. Thanks for the cache
One more before lunch and this was it. At least it was until we decided to do another one.
My ssssixth ssssense led me to this one .....with a bit of help from global ssssatelites of courssse!
Very nice

Glad we read some past activity so we were less frightened when we found this one. TFTC
GPS had us going in one way, but no results. Widening the area, geodad spotted this but allowed the youngest AdventureNaut to find and pick this. Another one on the trail today. Thanks.
Nice! The geodogs weren't overly interested so felt pretty safe when closing in on the cache. Super cool! Cheers!

This one was hidden in such away that it looked very real! Armed with a stick we confirmed it was what we were looking for.
Thanks for the experience, a lovely relaxing way to spend a sunny Saturday afternoon.

Following the celebration of the life of a geocaching friend nearby, we decided to wind down with a few caches. This was the first one. Though we were fairly sure that what we spotted was the hide, we decided to poke it with a stick, just to make sure we were right. Yep, lucky!
