Every day after coming home from a wine tasting or spending money in a tourist trap, we would always return to British and Australian game shows on TV. We were drinking wine so not complaining about the schedule, but sometimes you just want to dive into a good old fashioned afternoon drama that you dont have to think too hard about. Its probably because we arent smart enough to answer the questions on a quiz show. Its not probably, its definitely. We were almost back to where we had started our caching day, more through good luck than good management. Sometimes things just fall in your favour unlike the promise of a child promising to clean their room. tftc
TFTC was a bit too dangerous at the time to pull over and find 2,3,4 & 5. But glad I found this one. Need new log paper.
Thank goodness we know our Maori numbers. The Te Reo course came in handy A quick find but the log book is full. TFTC
Left this one to do on the way back from the others, as it was on the other side of the road. Unfortunately we failed to spot it despite the good hint and obvious location.
8 February 2023 16:45 TFTC Jodiporsche for placing this cache, number 12343 for me. Ka Pai!
Almost knocked this one off in my search, but yup that is the cache, nice one cheers
With the PWs sorted and still time up my sleeve this Tuki Tuki trail looks interesting. First stop along this road. Finally tracked this one down. Cheers.
Day 16, Friday 4 February - Napier - Te Awanga - Clive - Napier. Picking up the last couple of GTs and a few others in the vacinity. Then out of town to Palmerston North for the night for a sleep over with my friends the Etherlord kids. Lets move Toby and Lenny!
Zara, Toby, Lenny and I are on our North Island expidition for a couple of weeks. Got The Seagnoid along for the first 4 days, heading to the Auckland Mega. PWGTs and TMGTs are on the radar for this trip. Lots of driving on gravel roads and visited lots of amazing places on our 6000km road trip snagging 200+ caches along the way. Visiting Cape Reinga, Bay of Islands, Gisborne and White Rock along our journey. The highlight cache for the trip was GC815zh Journey to Pandora (night cache in Ack) Another awesome trip. Thanks to all CO's.

Alas could not find. I think I know where it is, but I did not have the tools to retrieve it. And as none of the logs rave over this cache, maybe it is not wherer I think it is.
On the way back to the bach after the TMGTs passing here so grabbed this one I missed heading to last night.
Some real poor weather today put us off caching for the majority of the day but there was still time to make a start, and finish, on the TMGT quartet that Napier has to offer. Decided that the rain would put off some muggles, and so it proved as I was not seen or disturbed at any GZ.
It's that time of year again when we try and get out there to celebrate our wedding anniversary, and my birthday the next day. This time we matched it up with a trip to Whanganui to see our daughter and the ever changing/developing granddaughter Kaiah. After the weekend with them we headed to Hawkes Bay for a 4 day stay in Havelock North which started off with rain but fined up nicely and finished the week well. A good break from home and plenty done and seen (as usual). Not huge numbers of finds but 22 adventure labs, the 4 TMGTs in Napier, a couple more CANZ caches and a few Virtuals as well as some other treats, T F T C to all COs.

Out exploring, first time in this area. I like the look of this trail, will have to come back and do it properly sometime. TFTC
I had an idea where the cache might be and luckily on this occasion my hunch was correct and the cache was quickly in hand.

Found on my trip north enjoying the caches in the area. Had a great day caching with MorganEd
We are away in our campervan just cruising the manawatu to Waiarapa then on to Hawkes Bay and return. During our tour we enjoyed travelling the quiet roads away from the main state highways. we enjoyed the bike trails around the Napier to Clifton and the inland trails up to Hastings and beyond, many of these trails of course were extra special because they had geocaches placed along them. Many thanks to all those who look after the caches. We hope you enjoy the same when you come into our area.
Sorry about the cut and paste if you have more than one geocache that we had found

last day over in the bay, slowly making making my home, enjoying these finds with lovely weather.
thanks for bringing me here and taking the time to place the caches.

Have been planning these caches for a few weeks in conjunction with HKCB for a mad dash and effectively a 24 hour run (so that we could spend time with our respective families) for the rest of the ensuing weekend.
Leaving Hamilton at 7pm Friday and getting home midnight on Saturday so that at least 6hours quality sleep was acheived, sleeping in the car is always a bonus (2 hours) and the remainder of the time caching around part of the country we hadn't previousley done a whole lot, but have left plenty for the next trip across the hill.
This was the sixteenth of the 25 prior to sleep and 100+ that we acheived in that time we were over here. The Bonus was that we largely managed to stay dry, if only slightly damp on the outside.
Thanks to all the CO's for the effort and giving some great caches, sorry about the repetitive logs but then 100 is a few to cover off.
Thanks for the placement, thanks for the cache.

We had been talking about cache bash in Napier for a while, and when Cats&Dragons mentioned a trip down here this weekend I couldn't say no. The plan was to head down Friday night (leaving Hamilton about 7pm) and then cache til we can then grab a few hours sleep and then cache through til late afternoon and then head home. The plan worked well, with about 110 caches found over the 24 hour caching period.
It was the first time we had visited Napier to do a caching mission, and we were both impressed with the genius hides (some we hadn't seen before, I'll give a special mention to those ones). A big thanks to all the CO's whose caches we found, for placing and maintaining them. A great trip and looking forward to a revisit.

Away in the Geocamper for a few days down Napier Hastings way taking the bikes and riding the trails and doing some caches. Figured out what the hint meant, because one of our grandchildren is in that room at school, then it was a relatively easy find after waiting for muggle traffic.
Thanks Jodiporsche for another smilie.

One week off during school holiday time, combined with some cheap flights made a great adventure in the HB and Gisborne area, popping into BoP a couple of times also. I had great fun and I am grateful to all CO's who placed the caches for others' entertainment!!
Today I decided to have a big day and see if I can break 50, and I did, even with a few extras! TFTC!!

Decided to spend a long weekend in the Hawkes Bay / Gisborne region and find some caches before heading back to Wellington on Sunday afternoon, after finding GC5XFXE - For Honour & Glory (Hawke's Bay), this was the next cache that I had on my list that I wanted to find.
Having being on this road before I had left these caches for an occasion as like this where I needed to get a few caches or to do a challenge of some sort. Noting that there was only 8 caches along this trail it was still better than nothing.
As I arrived near GZ, I decided to park across the road from GZ and then it was a simple and easy walk to GZ, Once there it took me a few minutes of searching and I was about to give up when I finally spotted the sneaky little cache, well that was a pain, but I was glad that I managed to find it. The only issue was that there was a K( in the paddock that was barking his head off and I was wondering if the farmer was going to come out and investigate what I was doing but no one tuned up.
Managed to retrieve the cache, signed and then replaced the cache back as found, thanks Jodiporsche for placing this cache here and for bringing me to this spot, TFTC TNLNSL (13197), now to the next cache in this series.

Off to climb the Craggy Range Trail before it may be deconstructed and removed from the hillside. Decided to do some geocaching on the way. TFTC
I was driving through the Hawkes Bay and stopped to grab some of what I thought would be easy drivebys. Turns out some were easier than others! A good day of finds. Thanks.
In Napier to hold a black tie dinner last night for work. Out and about early this morning, given the lateness of the hour that I got to bed and feeling reasonably ok, so I decided to do a bit of caching on the way home. Another quick find here and I'm on my way to the next cache. TFTC
In Napier overnight after a good day yesterday setting off from palmy at 10am after work got caches alog our way attending an event in Napier had a nice meal and drinks and a lot of geocaching chit chat. then this morning it was time to set off and get some more caches Mr watcache decided he would bike one of the trails while Mrs watcache went off in the car heading Clive way and out and beyond. A nice quick find here, signed the log and placed the cache back where I found it. Thank you for placing a cache here. TFTC
Sunday driving from Manawatu in a brand new car - opportunities like this don't come often. It was a let's go to Hawkes Bay for lunch and then home with maybe a visit at my sisters in Dannevirke. No caching - just for once. Hell nah! Had a lovely lunch and yes we are heading home and it is drizzling but we are still pulling over for the odd cache. It's in the blood lol. This was quick and easy. Hubby retrieved it and signed the log in the car as it was drizzling. All good and replaced as found. TFTC
Out with LhutiNe today signing off caches to the south and around Tukituki. Had a lovely drive seeing parts of the country never visited before.
Cheers for the cache.
Cheers for the cache.
A quick cache and dash on a drive round the area.
A short-lived panic until my brain remembered that I could decode the hint. Phew!

Thanks for the cache. This is our find number 659 and we found it at 4:34:43 PM NZDT on 2 January 2017. Out for a few caches around our holiday bach at Haumoana. Actually our last find on the trail on our way back home. Helps to search in the right place. Thanks Google Translate!
Heading to Clive today for Cito Event. Needing event caches for a challenge that the Squirrel and I are doing so this will end up been a very long day.
3.40pm - We decided to do this loop as we noticed a canz cache here. No problems to solve hint. SLTFTC

With Gap (of Fap and Gap)... A cross country adventure. Our intention is to attend the local CITO Event... Then we are free to target whatever catches our attention...
We decided that this small trail would take us to Hawke's Bay CANZ. This was a quick find on the back of a good hint. TFTC.

A quick find, not sure why we missed this one last time we were doing the tuki tuki trail. Many thanks
Out on this lovely day to find caches. Plenty of room to park car off side of road. Another quick find. Cheers.
Just as others have found, being a local doesn't help, have wanted to do this one for ages but haven't been brave enough until today. TFTC
caching with a friend they took one i took the other to have a look and for some reason found a cache on each one lol. tftcs
In Napier for the weekend, grabbed a few caches in this area. Thanks jodiporsche for the cache and the trail.
Lots of room to park here & some shade on a hot day too - yay!
Another geocaching trail we've done with lots of maori language really helped me work out the clue here. Still didn't spot it straight away. TFTC jodiporsche

Much easier than the last one we tried even though we don't speak Maori very well. Left it in the same spot. Tftc
