Beautiful full sunny.. i drive to rouse hill to meet skyejam and Sevabo then drive around to rouse hill and Pond find few caches.... Last Day we go McDonald for lunch then go home...... Good Day.. thank
Stopped here while on my way to Windsor this afternoon. I was hoping to be able to make a quick find here so that I didn't attract the attention of a couple nearby enjoying some family time in the park with their young toddler ... and, thanks to good coords and a cooperative GPS, I was able to do so. I was pleased too that there was somewhere handy for me to attend to the legal formalities associated with the find so all in all, this is what I would call a good 'park & grab'. Thanks Rheneas.

#2799 (49 of 50 today - am I mad?) (Streak day 287)
So, how to celebrate Leap Day? How do I mark this once in every 4 year opportunity - my first as I started caching in 2013?
I'd considered a few possibilities and decided I'd go for my most ever finds in a day. 50 looks like a nice round number.
I'd not tackled **Morley196's** Windsor Road previously - save for two caches grabbed when I was mining the Rouse Hill Regional Park. In fact I'd left it for such an attempt as this.
Even better, there was an event at both ends of the trail - one in the morning and one at night. Perfect!
So I started out by placing two caches of my own, one of which I submitted for publication (and was published later in the day), and one for which I still need to finalise the listing. Then I headed Windsor way to start my walking marathon - no bike for me!
At the end of the day I had my 50 caches - 48 traditionals and two events - and my fitness tracker assured me I'd walked 32,000 steps.
My only problem was getting back to the car. I ended up almost 8km from *The Hademobile*, and with no sign of buses or taxis, I simply walked back - grabbing a heap of munzees on the way back.
And was right on time for the evening's event. Cache #2800 - not a coincidence!
Apologies in advance for totally cut and paste logs but anything else and I'll go mad! Any specific cache comments will be found under under the C&P heading.
Many thanks to **Morley196** for the trail. Incredible effort. Will add a smattering of faves as thanks.
And thanks also to the organisers and attendees at the events. Nice to meet you all again / for the first time* (delete whichever is not applicable).
So, the result of today was I have my final *Found Date*, my final *Hidden Date* and even finds on my own caches for 29 Feb. HUZZAH!
Please excuse me if I don't do something like this again in 4 years time.

OK, I've survived the walk back to *The Hademobile*, and rechecked my finds. Yep, 48. So one more find needed before the event.
Decided on this one - close to that event.
Kids playing in the park - called in for dinner, thankfully, leaving me to make the find.
Oh, that's sneaky. Not sure I replaced it properly, though - might be too exposed. Hopefully not.
Copleted signing duties on the nearby bench, then replaced.

This is our first Geocach. We had great fun. My godson Erik has given me a hand to find it. We will carry on our treasures hunting journey.
Found on my way home from the 8th annual event at the Rouse Hill Town Centre. The log was damp but managed Sign and return TFTC.

It is bloody hot today! Thankfully I managed to find this one pretty quick today. Nice little park. TFTC.

Out with JJCC for a lunchtime cache run in order to find our daily cache to keep our streak going.
Well what a wet and miserable day to go caching...needless to say if we wanted our streak to continue we may just have to get wet today. Being out at Richmond for swimming lessons we decided to grab a cache around Rouse Hill before we headed back home. The drive here was in pouring rain, but thankfully it did start to ease on our arrival at Melaleuca Park. Parking the car across the road from the entrance, JJCC ducked over to grab the cache whilst the rest of us stayed in the car...but as time went on, geoSister began widening her search area from the most obvious structure. As the rain had now eased off considerably, everyone jumped out of the car and walked across to help in the search. Walking up to the structure we spied the cache container straight away...height does have its advantages. With the cache now safely in hand we both signed the log and then replaced as found.
TNLN.
Seven TBs visited - Bob geoMinion, Dave geoMinion, Evil geoMinion, Jerry geoMinion, Larry geoMinion, Stuart geoMinion, Vanlith The Youngling.
Both the cache container and log are in good condition.

Out with Team Merlin in order to find our daily cache to keep our streak going.
Out and about today on a very wet morning and ended around Rouse
Hill. Looking for a cache called Melaleuca Park located in the park named Melaleuca Park. Lucky for us the rain had eased by the time we located the park with the coordinated in hand. We parked the car close by needing to cross a quite road to the park. I started to look for the cache finding GZ quite quickly with the family in the car. After looking at possible hide locations I widened the search area but with still no luck. With a break in the rain the Geo family and Team Merlin began to help look. With Team Merlin finding the cache hide immediately at GZ. With height on Team Merlin's side the cache container was now in hand we both signed the log and then replaced as found. Both the log and cache container are in good condition.

Night time caching and I pulled up next to this park. I remember a few years back when some cachers placed a VERY hard cache here. We had groups of cachers come and search over multiple days and it took ages to find. Not tonight, I walked right up to GZ and found the cache. SL and replaced. TFTC.
Nice quick and easy find on the way back from some last minute Christmas shopping. nice to see new caches popping up around the area too
Note to self, ALWAYS check where the GPSr wants you, and look in every spot! Then you don't have to ring a friend! Grrrrrr.
Arrived at the park and read previous logs. Ummmm rainbow spirit couldn't find it, this could be tricky. Well I start walking to GZ, remembering how there was a cache here years ago that just kept getting muggled and some of the neighbours didn't like geocachers in their park. Well time has change and I found this very quickly. Did the legals and replaced as found. Nice one, TFTCM

I got out the GPSr but Mr MR said it was not required and had CIH in no time. It's a lovely little park, thanks for putting a cache here Rheneas.
After finding another cache nearby, YGAT and I came here so that I could rectify my August DNF. I went straight to where I’d previously looked and this time it was there. Thanks for the cache Rheneas, and to Ken479 for putting it back in place.
My fourth find for the morning. Parked close by and strolled over to GZ. My initial search didn't find anything. After a pause and a rethink I tried another spot and put my hand on the cache. Retrieved, signed log and replaced. tftc
After a quick look around, cache was found and beware of locals. Thanks for leading us here
Did a quick cache check after the recent NM request -- cache was safe and dry, not sure where you were looking Jackscruff? Suggest that if you don't find a cache in future, simply log a DNF first.
Couldn't find it this morning.
There has obviously been A LOT of rain around here in the last couple of days. Maybe the cache has become dislodged/ washed away.
Maybe needs a CO check.

Nice little hide in a park near where my girls have their guitar lessons. Quickly dashed off to add this one to the list before the lesson wraps up TFTC Rheneas
What a lovely sunny warm day out with FootyFanatics. Had to return to this one after a random muggle moved on. Like the name of the park. Nice easy find and we were on our way. TFTC.
Found it on a glorious winters day while out and about with evangt. Another quick find in an empty park. TFTC
Haha nice nice! I got to the right place and then it was just a matter of feeling around! Fun and easy cache! Thank you ken479 for fixing the cache and to the owner for finally putting a non premium cache in the area!
I wandered down from 'trace 2008' to this pleasant little park to attempt this one. I checked the obvious place, as suggested by the GPSr, and felt I’d found something but it wouldn’t budge. It’s been found recently so I contacted a previous finder who confirmed I was looking in the correct place. So it’s either a recurrence of my chronic cache blindness or it has slipped. It could well be the former .
Without giving anything away the cache was not in its correct position. After a bit of a rescue mission I was able to retrieve the cache and return it to the correct spot.
Im sure the CO would appreciate everyone being careful when returning the cache to ensure it is going to stay in place.

Drove up but muggles everywhere so went to do "the old sucker" nearby, when I returned I had the park to myself.
Made it much more difficult than I needed to and found myself back at the first spot & with a closer inspections soon had CIH. TFTC.

After finding 'trace 2008' just to the west, I decided to search for this cache before heading home. The last of the light faded minutes before I arrived, but I had a small pocket torch with me. The surrounding houses were dark, so rather than flash a torch around and alert anyone to my presence, I let my fingers do the walking and quickly had CIH. I then took my time signing the log at the nearby table. TFTC Rheneas!
Streak Day #744 - Since we were already out after midnight, ris768 brought me to this one so i could claim a find after midnight and have a rest day today. TFTC
This's was the scene of one of my first mega nemesis caches. I remember spending hours down here trying to find one of Hammerman's marvelous creations. Pity it has now gone.

I walked up to GZ just as the sun had gone down and in between the dog walkers I searched the area, however there was a couple at the shelter outing me off so I retreated to the car to await them leaving. While waiting I tried ringing 3 PAFs but none of them answered, just as I was about to ring #4, #1 returned my call. I found out I was searching in the right spot but the couple lingered. While chatting away with my PAF the couple moved to the other side of the play equipment, spread out a blanket and proceeded to have a picnic. Who has a picnic at night??? Anyway I moved in and made the find, SL #2054 on streak day #1109 TFTC
My last unfound Rheneas cache. I made it way harder than it needed to be till I realised where I hadn't checked. I hadn't notice the spot there!?!

12/07/15. 2:18 PM. Cache #2680. Streak day #385.
I had been 2nd to find the COs latest ("A Nightmare on Elmstree (Road)"), about an hour ago, and then this one would have been my next target. However, with more new publish emails going off, I headed back east to Castle Hill to joint FTF "Four Legs", and then came out here.
The coordinates were accurate which made this a quick park and grab for me today. I then drove off to Schofields to look for "One", only to see that it had been disabled, so I headed off to Eastern Creek after that for "olympic route insignia 2". TFTC.

#369 - Garmin eTrex 30
This was the only find for today. After finishing with a student, I set out to find this cache because it was nearby, filled in a missing date for my dates placed calendar, a month on my Jasmer calendar and helped me extend my streak. I found parking close to GZ which was free of muggles. I thought with weather like this that people would be enjoying the sunshine but this meant I could search in peace. I found GZ and after checking an obvious spot for a hide, I soon had CIH. SL. TFTC.

As the contractor was spraying for weeds, I swooped in and made a quick find. I was happy to see that I was the first to ink the log, and to get the *** FTF ***.

3TF- @ 5:30am Detoured en route to collect a re spawned Thor from an old hide at Glenhaven, with a 6am start at work this mourning, I was cutting it fine.
Arrived and pulled over 30m to GZ, just the motion of walking was loud at this time, then the click of turning the torch on seemed to echo around the houses.
Oh boy, this could be interesting, okay, let's see how I go. Now, a man walking aimlessly around an empty park with a torch at a deathly hour doesn't seem suspect to muggles, does it?
Followed the arrow to the BBQ area and still more distance to travel, then I believe it's hidden over in that, as quiet as I could walk on gravelly section, I eventually placed my hand on it, whacko!
Then with CIH, travelled to one of the park lamps to complete my duties, thanks Rhenaes.
The park does look good in the dark.
