AMAZING CACHE. Definitely great for the kids to find. I absolutely love this cache
Found this one today while heading out of my campsite at Kurth Kiln area. Nice area and easy to find.
What a great place for a cache. My daughter and I actually came here a years ago to find this cache but ended up chatting with Bernie at the Light Horse Museum, and he gave us a tour through the place. What a lovely man. Cache here is in good condition. We took a trackable pirate to move on him onwards and left a trackable bat to rest in the dark of the cache. Thanks for this cache
After a bit of a look.... we found the very well hidden amo box. The caretaker of the museum was very friendly too! Another one down and a few more to go. It's a very nice day for a cache adventure. TFTC

A very interesting day in what some people call the outer Eastern suburbs of Melbourne! We worked on collecting more senior karate belts, searched for bunyips around billabongs, remembered the fallen who had served our country in wars past and tried hard not to be side tracked by those interesting old stations.
Enjoyed the cache notes here, they are fascinating.
Sighted trackable - TB60XQ0 'Have you heard? Alexandra is going BiG!'
Thanks to TeamThommo for placing caches in interesting locations.

I use this road several times each year, and I have always planned on checking out this place. Caching in the area today with Ronice88, we just had a quick look from the outside, and found the log in excellent condition.
Thanks TeamThommo.
Thanks TeamThommo.
Not missed - and wow and a fave for memories as my Grandfather was in the Lighthorse.signing up as a 17 year old in WWI Happened to team up with the ever organised and fun Crustyvarmint for a few hours of caching enroute to the BIG event at BUNYIP! I might be from higher altitudes but still enjoy the magnificent rolling green hills and natural environment. TFTC and FUN!
Said hello to Bernie and his worker...they are currently renovating and hoping to get the museum back up and running and open to the public soon. Cache located and signed retrieved 2 travel bugs. Hope to one day return and have a browse. TFTH.
Nice quick find in the grass. Had a good chat with Bernie. He was kind enough to show me through the old museum here. Thought it also appropriate to leave Sophies unicorn trackable with the horses nearby.
I found this cache today on our Auslan Asparagus Tour in company of Pprass. Just a few extra caches on the way home. A nice and large cache that was very well hidden in the long grass. Thanks for the series from D B-A
Found at 3:40 PM GAFF3 in the company of Rabbitto.
Some very familiar photos in that collection - thanks for putting them together in this cache description.
The cache area was very overgrown and hid the large ammo can very nicely.
Thanks TeamThommo.

This yet another road we would not have ventured along if it wasn't for geocaching!
We had to head into Cranbourne to see a mate about a business deal but on our way back to our caravan at Bunyip, we dropped past this cache. A simple find in an interesting place where we could drop off the trackable [Golf and Travel](https://www.geocaching.com/track/details.aspx?guid=c15decc4-4486-448b-871c-792ca06a464a) to continue it's journey. We may have to come back during opening hours to investigate further.

After attending an event in Berwick this morning, I decided to head down the road a little further to find some more caches that I haven’t got around to finding yet.
I am forever seeing this one on the map but I never seem to go near it so today I made sure that I did.
I never knew this museum was here but I have watched the movie with the same name which was very good.
At GZ today, the cache was spotted with ease but with its D rating that is to be expected, the log was signed and I was off to the next one.

On our way down to Moe so took the chance to look for some smileys on the way. This one took us a while as our GPS's wouldn't settle. We eventually found the cache. Such a shame that we didn't know of this museum when if was operational as it is something that we would have been interested in visiting. Thanks for the cache.
SKI Pair had finally returned after five months over seas and a quick plan was made to go caching, there were some new ones at Garfield I wanted to go find to boost my finds on Days caches and I had a few solved Puzzles around Pakenham to find, several others were found along the way. The weather was perfect for caching and we had plenty of laughs along the way. A quick find here, I must return and check out the museum.
Thanks TeamThommo for the cache.

After a lengthy trip overseas for nearly 5 months with only some sporadic caching in some of the countries we visited we have finally returned home.
With the taken out to catch up with children and grandchildren as well as the garden at home it was now timely to catch up with our good friend Rebel Acts and do some caching. A plan was hatched at short notice to meet up with him and then head down to the Garfield / Pakenham area and see what we could come up with.
Our last cache for the day and a wonderful size.
Sadly we had to disappoint the bloke at the museum, but it was getting late in the day and we needed to get home so couldn't visit.

Over in Vic for the weekend with stainless steel rat to catch up with 1Toolman. He told us about his first to find effort here and also explained what happened at the premises here which is disappointing.Hopefully it can be sorted out and reopened. That was all forgotten for a brief moment as we found this nice big cache!

Out on the hunt for a few caches, Ms Smokey-bear and myself compared what I had vs what she had. We moved on-wards from our previous cache, towards this one. Once here, it was a quick pick up and we were off towards home. TFTC

My great grandfather was in the Field Artillery in the First World War, and was awarded a Military Medal (and a promotion) for saving the second driver whilst under fire. Therefore, MontsII particularly likes this museum. Today he asked if we could detour past to see if “Bernie” was open again. He is still closed for renovation, unfortunately. But we were pleased to see that there is an appropriate cache here TFTC TeamThommo
Unable to find the last one wanted to finish with a find and was passing this cache and made a quick stop to collect a smilie. Was looking at the black box and then rad the description which pointed me in the right direction. Tftc

I headed out specifically to grab this cache. It had been raining but it had stopped for a few minutes. Ended up grabbing 5 semi local caches and most of them in the rain.
No one around at this time, found the cache quickly. Logged and replaced. As I was driving off I saw a man pop out the door for a look and then pop back in.
Thanks TeamThommo

Since moving from New Zealand I have been enjoying the area, exploring and finding caches.
So far I’ve knocked off 4 of the states. VIC, SA, NSW and A.C.T
No two areas are the same here and almost every place I go is stunning. The beauty of caching is that it takes you to so many places you would never usually find.
Thank you to all the cachers out there for hiding and maintaining their caches. Especially to those who put so much effort into creating unique and fun hides.
The caches I’ve found in Australia so far have for the most part all been in great condition. Keep up the good work.

I headed out early today to target this cache and try to finish The Slog series. I had no idea that this museum existed. It is currently closed for renovations, but as I started to search, a door opened and an employee said something which I didn't understand. I told him I was looking for a geocache and he was fine with that and went back inside. A quick find of a very good size container. I'll have to return when the museum reopens.

After reading the map upside down like I always do when I'm in Pakenham, I didn't end up at the cache I was looking for. So I decided I'd head towards home. I saw the sign for this place and thought "surely there's a cache there" and sure enough ...
I didn't realise the place was shut down, but saw the cache was still there.
The owner came out all apologetic. I think he might have been a little disappointed that I hadn't, in fact, come to visit the museum. I felt a bit sorry for the guy
Well TFTC anyway.

Out caching with Poiter.h for the day, off to get the new DirtBag cache and earthcache up Mr Cannibal, after doing them we decided to grab some other caches around the area. Meet the owner of the museum and had a chat with him about the council closing him down. Sl and discovered tb. Thanks Team Tommo for the cache.
Found whilst out caching with Bounty Trackers.
Had a chat to the owner Bernard, about the Museum and how the council had closed it down.
He's hoping it will reopen soon.

12/02/2017 8:58:00 AM - A bit of a rain won't stop a caching run. Today I teamed up with my caching friend Square_pegs and headed out this way for some exploring and to find this cache, which is cache #1 for the day. Great to see a large container for me to start my day with. That earns it a favourite point.

Yeehaa! I have a soft spot for horses.. As a child all my friends had one of their own. To say I was jealous would have been an understatement. I did however get to ride with them often and once we had one in our back garden for a few weeks (we only had a residential house..lol).

I often ask myself, what makes a favourite spot? I have been to some where people have put a lot of time and effort but the hide was obvious and I just didn't have that wow feeling but my boys beg me to allocate a favourite point. When this cache was published, ( before even physically finding it) I knew it was already a favourite. At night I often, just tap away on the ipad and I read, I read the page description and logs and this cache page was brilliant reading. I was introduced to a lot of information that I would've never had sourced out, and let me tell you. I've already used some information in conversations. So when we pulled up, I knew from my reading that it was an obvious position but that didn't stop my boys plus a very keen buddy, jumping out of the car before I had even placed the car into park and they start rubbing the black boxes at the front gate like maniacs. I was yelling at them, BOYS STOP !!!!!!! They were yelling back saying but its it. NO !!!!!! STOP !!!!! Move away before you break something, I need you to listen to me. As I had realised they were rubbing the sensor bell to the property. OH MAN. Naturally the owner came out, and thank god I had read the description because I could the apologise to him but his first name. I asked him about this place because it looked so interesting and it all made sense ...... which makes the my favourite point even easier to reward. Great information on cache page, great location, great cache (It's so nice to find a large cache) . Once again thank you for your beautiful mind.
The Geo kids gave Geo dad a new GPS for fathers day, so what else should you do on fathers day but go and find a Cache, we knew we had missed out on the 1st to find, but decided this was a good one to go for. Geo daughter was to ill to work, but decided she was still ok to go and find a cache, I may have to ring her bosss.
Anyhow the GPS got us to within 20 metres of the cache, but just as we pulled up someone walked out of the building over to there car not far away, so we waited them out and eventually the GPS got us to within 1 metre of the cache, not that we needed it as it was very obvious.
A quick open, and sign of the log and away we went.
Thanks for the cache and the bold hide.
Also dropped of a Travel Flower Geocoin to finally continue its journey.
