Great hide. Took my son and I a little while to find thanks to muggles walking their dogs nearby. There were a few tense moments while their dogs wandered within 3-4 meters from us, but we kept quiet long enough and eventually they continued on. TFTC!
Sunday with nothing in my calendar until later afternoon. This combined with a desire to clear some geocaches off my to-do- list and wanting to drive my new car around some bendy roads a bunch has sent me towards Tamborine and associated Mountain. After very much enjoying the drive up (but saddened that the stone pillar halfway up has collapsed), and back down and a handful of other geocaches, this is next on my route and list.I park up on the grass as the parklands are quite popular and the carpark farther along is full. It's a bit precipitous, but my car is small and tucks in nicely between two soccer-mum taxis. And then down the grassy slope. This really is an expansive park - you could fit several stadiums in here, surely! All the way down near GZ, there are no muggles, so I duck into the bush and began looking about. Things get a bit hairy when I have to duck under a huge log over the buttress roots. It shouldn't be difficult, but the twenty-something kilometre hike yesterday has added significant stiffness to all joints below my eyebrows. While I look, a dog-walking couple appears, so I take a few steps to vanish. And I happen upon the creek down a little further. I sit and wait and enjoy watching the extremely clear water trickle by. When I'm again alone, I finish my circumnavigation of GZ and make a quick find. It's not a small, and not PVC; rather a regular sistema. But it's clearly the geocache and I add my name to the log at 12:35 then replace all as found. And now for the walk back up the hill. Thanks for this geocache RockyAy and KezzBear
I had the attention of a huge dog as his owners kept turning away then coming back towards me again. Thanks for the cache KezzBear
Wow, what a great cache! Positive little treasure trove. First find for young Saxon!! Tftc!
TFTC! What a fab find. Was honestly sceptical but the little tracker caught. Am taking trackables with me, and will pop them into the next along!
Had another look for this after a DNF years ago. Couldn't find the new replacement from Feb. 24 but found one from 28/11/19 that only had 5 signatures until 14/11/21!!! And the one we found would not have ever gone missing. A favourite from us for the years of grief and the find of a "missing" cache. TFTC KezzBear
I previously visited here on 13/01/2024 when I had a search and left with a DNF. A subsequent maintenance visit by the CO appeared to confirm that it was missing, and was thus replaced. So whilst visiting the area once again, we ventured down the end of this park, and after a few minutes of searching, I had located the nice new and beaut cache! The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks [KezzBear](https://coord.info/PR3RM5R) for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.----------Today, with [gridge98](https://coord.info/PRGKDMY) visiting from Adelaide, we planned to head south to Nerang, attacking a few high tree climbs, and other attractive D-T targets that [gridge98](https://coord.info/PRGKDMY) had on his list.Consequently, we detoured from the M1 and stopped at a few geocaches along the way, and then targeted the tall [A tribute](https://coord.info/GC60RA8) tree climb before the lunch event [Cadence Cuisine](https://coord.info/GCAM6J9). We then continued to geocache around Nerang and walked up to [Nerang Walkabout Nerang State Forest](https://coord.info/GCAJK1V) virtual cache, and then commenced our drive home, detouring via Logan Gardens (fishing TOTT geocaches), and Capalaba (to add Redland City Council LGA to [gridge98](https://coord.info/PRGKDMY)'s statistics).
A nice reserve out here, cache found and is all goodToday Davidwazza and I headed south to Nerang for a day out and to find a few targets that we had of our own plus a few others along the way.I headed to Brisbane for a few days with Courtneyrose_ to check out the attractions and to catch up with Davidwazza and Jesswrigley, a nice few days away in QLD finding caches along the way here and there. Thanks for the cache
11/2/2024 Find #6834A day out and about with KezzBear and KBreeAHH on a bit of a maintenance check for KezzBear before she ups and leaves us for a new life of adventure. The day was filled with fun, food and memories but with a tinge of sadness too knowing this would definitely be our last adventure together for some time. A wander down with KBreeAHHs geopup Bailey, doing our best to avoid encounters with other pups along the way, as well as avoiding the particularly wet grassed area to get to GZ. At GZ we had a good search but with the weather that has been through here, KezzBear had expected this one would have disappeared, so came prepared with her replacement. Then it was back up to the playground fire truck for Bailey to pretend he was Marshall from Paw Patrol for a bit. Thanks for the cache KezzBear.

After attempting a nearby tree climb, I thought I'd give this a short search, but not spend too long given the DNFs and time taken from those who had managed to find this cache. I had a couple of loops around the obvious tree searching various nooks and crannies, and then decided to call it quits given the difficulty and time spent by others. A tough 2.0 Difficulty cache! Thanks anyway RockyAy for the cache placement, and [KezzBear](https://coord.info/PR3RM5R) for its ongoing maintenance.----------Today, the plan was for a walk in Denham Scenic Reserve (Denham Falls, Lip Falls) to host a [Gins Lips Saunter and Swim](https://coord.info/GCAH49F) event at the bottom of the creek/gorge. Despite having visited this area only 1.5 months ago, I had a couple of geocaches that I had trouble finding, and it was a lovely area to visit nevertheless. Despite concerning weather forecasts of rain, it could not have been any better, with dry conditions and the heat starting to set in by the time we finished our hike.It was then a slow and long way home meandering past towns and areas finding geocaches in less-visited areas. Highlights included Lower Beechmont Conservation Area (Freeman's Lookout and the lower elevation area adjacent to Clagiraba Road), Mount Tamborine, and Oxenford. It was interesting to see the widespread tree debris in the vicinity from the "mini-cyclone" / strong winds that impacted the Gold Coast from two weeks ago, and largely cleaned up.
Little Clagiraba Reserve was transferred from RockyAy to user SaintsMadHouse
This one got away from us unfortunately.
We scolled through previous notes looking for a hint, but nothing steered us in the right direction

We were in the area and had found a couple of Geocaches nearby. this was just a short walk across some lush green grass to GZ. We ended up taking a small detour as there is a low-lying area which is quite wet at the moment and the frogs were singing. Arriving at GZ there was much work to do before we could possibly secure a find here. Too many options!
We were in the fine company of Que Sera and Tenkae.
Tenkae had previously found this, and sat back smiling as we lifted every leaf. A hint of warm or cold eventually had Mr Domsky securing the find. So sneaky!

After an awesome morning finding Dead Reckonings Treasure and How hard can it be , Domsky, Tenkae and I decided to find a few other caches and this one Tenkae had already found and was looking forward to watching us try and find . We looked and looked and looked etc etc and then we asked Tenkae if we could play hot or cold. It was not long then until Domsky found it in a spot that I had already looked but not well enough. That was a tricky hide. This is such a nice park. Thank you for all the fun
We circled the tree several times, but had no luck finding this one. I think my GPS was messed around with the size of the tree's canopy.
Willis007 and I had a plan to grab a bunch of caches on the gold coast today. However, sometimes things never really pan out the way you plan. We had a list with a few target caches and then added a few as we passed by, this one was not on the list. But seeing as we just did one nearby it seemed pointless to leave this one behind.
After the huge climb I was feeling a little weary so Willis 007 volunteered to take a walk for this one, I gave moral support and hints as to what she should be looking for. It wasn’t long and she had the cache in hand and with log signed and cache returned, we were off to continue our list.
Thanks for the placement of this one.

Out and about on the Gold Coast today collecting some target caches with Chamad.
Arriving at gz, I took a methodical approach as there were soooo many places to hide a cache. After checking a number of potential spots, I took a seat and read through some previous logs. Something was mentioned which led me to a different search approach and with these goggles on, I quickly had the cache in hand.
Thanks RockyAy for a great hide, a fav from me.

Had a good search - - certainly not advisable as tree is pretty rotten and a lot has already fallen and hidden rusty barbed wire in amongst the debris and spikey lantana and Bouganvillia relics....try to cache in a safe way and this is not one of them.
Dropped by to check out the nearby challenging cache and came down to check this one out while we were here. It was a long and spiky search before I noticed a tell tale something and gave it a tug.
TFTC, that was an adventure.

I am headed out here today to make sure the cache is in place - if it is missing I will replace it. Watch this space.
Checked on this cache and the container is still in place, replaced log book and dropped a trackable in the hopes someone will find it next time. The area is more overgrown than when I placed the cache so please where closed in shoes, long pants & long sleeved shirt. I knew exactly where it was and still got entangled in the brambles. If you can’t find in PM me and I can give you additional hints. Happy caching!
We couldn’t find it. I only wore thongs and the tree and surrounding area was really overgrown, covered in leaves and had a heap of vines with massive spikes on them. The vines were hanging in the trees and on the ground. One of these pierced my thongs and into my heel a solid centimetre. Needless to say. After that we didn’t look anymore.
DNF at 10:57 AM.
After the big one near-by c-pprass went looking for this cache but couldn't find anything after about 10 minutes searching.

Our long weekend of caching up around Bundaberg having been cut short due to rain, we arrived back in Brisbane in the very early hours of Sunday morning. We all took the rest of Sunday off to hose the roadtrip smell off us and our belongings, and with Jez back at work today, a slightly smaller team of seffnjarah, Swellerfungus & I headed south to Tamborine to work our way through a hastily thrown together Seff-list.
As we rolled up to the parking spot here the spitting rain finally opened up into a full rain shower. No matter, we were all prepared with suitable outerwear and marched off into the rain. The three of us spent quite a while looking, before I saw something that looked a little out of place. Great little hide, FP from me.

Swellerfungus, JezNDez and I had headed north to Bundaberg for a long weekend of caching but a change in the weather up there had brought a premature end to that adventure. Today Swellerfungus, Dez and I were heading south to pick up some caches around the Mt Tamborine and surrounding areas.
Poor timing here, as the clouds that had been gathering all morning finally released their downpour just as it was time to leave the car. Luckily the spray jackets had been packed and we tromped off to GZ through the rain. At GZ we spent some considerable time searching for the cache with no success. Some prior log information gave us some renewed focus and, as per usual, the cache was finally found in a location previously searched. TFTC

Our planned caching long weekend was hampered by a rainy Sunday in our chosen playground (Gympie), so we headed home and made Sunday a designated rest day. To make up for it a hastily put together list was presented to the team by seffnjarah, and trusting blindly JeznDez and I agreed to to tag along.
I met up with seffnjarah early so that we would have the time to make the large detour necessary to pick up JeznDez. This allowed her a leisurely sleep in and time to do her nails and make-up before sauntering out to the car. It must be nice to have a valet service at your disposal! So after much delay we finally got under way and had a full day of caching between Mt Gravatt, Logan Village, Mt Tambourine and Beaudesert.
My recollection of the order in which we found the caches around here may be a little hazy, but I am sure my caching buddies won't hesitate to tell me how I got them wrong after reading my logs. rest assured we did find them all though!
We arrived in the rain today, and donned our wet weather gear and headed down the hill. It took us a while at GZ to make the find, but sure enough the cache is there. Some slightly misleading clues in prior logs didn't help, but one of them was a gem that helped JND make the find. Something was indeed out of place (and I had looked right at it and didn't see it. D'Oh!
Thanks for the cache.

Quick easy find (with Geobuddy who found it already ) Glad we didn't have to climb the tree, we just did that cache nearby
TFTC RockyAy. All good with this cache.

It's a beautiful spot. Favourite place for us to take the dogs too. Look close around the roots at the base of the tree
I stopped off at this great park on my way up to Tamborine. I got to GZ and did a few circuits of the tree - managing to whack my head TWICE on the same overhanging branch! I found some wire in a hidey spot but no cache. So I don't know if its missing or if my finding skills weren't up to scratch! I did find a bong though
Found it after a few minutes of hunting around the tree root system. Keep an eye out for something that looks like it shouldn't be there, you'll need a keen eye
This one took me a little longer than usual to find but perseverance paid off in the end. I had already looked in the likely spot a couple of times but not thoroughly enough. Pleased to eventually find the lovely new container with the fresh log sheet. Thanks RockyAy for the good hide and TFTC
Cache is replaced with a smaller container and fixed to the location to ensure it does not disappear with the next flood waters. Happy Caching!
Due to ex-cyclone Debbie's flooding, this geocache is temporarily disabled until I can get in to replace.
Woohoo! Found my first long lost cache. Dahumbug and I had both looked here already but we had looked beyond he hiding spot. It is night and the SES are doing some sort of firefighting practice. We have been trying to get to a night cache for the past 3 hours. Apparently some monkey type character has a final for a puzzle cache around here somewhere...rumour has it, a mile up a tree. But who knows what that Monkey gets up to. Hanging around with that humbugger up to no good from what I heard, placing impossible to work out caches in possible locations. Although I did beat that Humbugger to the Monkey's letterbox while the humbugger was off getting himself lost in blackout land of the Sunshine Coast. Teeheehee. So that's the story of Clagiraba Reserve from my perspective. SES disco has finished now that I am almost back at the car..:apparently Monkey uses knobs to pull himself up. But that's a different cache for a different day and not tonight
Beaut day to be out caching and filling in a few little smiles along the way but unfortunately not one here today, will have to come back some other time, thanks RockyAy.
Out and about today, we were exploring the area while on holidays.
This was a lovely park, the kids enjoyed playing in the playground and swinging in this tree too! We found the cache behind what we thought must be archery targets - looks like lots of space for activities around here!
Thanks for the cache RockyAy!

What a lovely park. Lots of mowing. I wandered on down to GZ and thought what a strange place to offload all kinds of things. I look in every hint and naturally it was the last hint I looked in.
Thank you for bringing me here.
Thank you for bringing me here.
A very interesting tree. Found this whilst on support crew duties on the Kokoda challenge. My kids liked the stealth elf magnet
We decided a cache is this lovely park was too good to pass up and with only a couple of dog walkers here on a Sunday morning we were off to GZ. Having read what we were looking for we were stopped in our tracks when there was a large padded target laying where we were about to search. Apparently there's more action at GZ than just a cache. A methodical search soon produced the well blended container and the new dry log. TFTC RockyAy.
Today we planned a caching run to coincide with the Hinterland Round-up at Lower Beechmont, so what better than to turn a group of green dots yellow! Fellow cachers Nadine 1989 and Geefer joined us for the occasion. All up we found all 25 of our planned caches for the day, including the event.
Hmmm, this park sort of reminds us of a monkey maker tribute of some sort! Oh well - there's a great tree down there, too! After a short hunt around Mrs RoddyC found the cache, but the recent inclement weather has found its way inside the cache. Log book, swag - all hopelessly wet. Fortunately my pocketed hand towel came in handy and all was dried out except the log book - that was beyond redemption. So Geefer returned to his geovehicle and brought back a new log book to help future cachers on their way.
So glad this one wasn't a tree climb.
Found at 11.15am on 12th June 2016. TFTC.

Mrs. RoddyC found this cache because I still struggled with the meaning of the hint as a non native English speaker some words are still mysteries for me.
We stopped in this park for a picnic lunch before ambling over to this grand tree. So many possibilities here. Not to be discouraged by this we set about and soon found what we were looking for. What a nice big cache. But it was half full of water and the log book sodden. We peeled the book open carefully and patted the page dry with tissues. Luckily we were able to sign the log without tearing the paper. We dried things as best we could then replaced as found.
Thanks heaps RockyAy.
Thanks heaps RockyAy.
Wandered over to this one with Mr Gap and the Herbz, arriving at GZ we all knew what was required so began the search. Seems Mrs Herbz and I are not too fond of cane toads!! Mr Herbsz though soon had the cache in hand. TFTC

Out caching with Pigwig2 and Agap2 today. We had plans for Ferny Glen but every man and his dog was there so a quick change of plans and we ended up at this pretty park. 4 pairs of eyes searched for this cache, Mrs. Herbz nearly jumped out of her skin as she almost touched a large cane toad. She quickly bypassed that spot and moved further round... mistake!!! Mr. Herbz moved in to check out the stocky amphibian only to discover that was where the cache was hiding. TFTC RockyAy.
In this park in the hope of another cache nearby it was pointed out to me that there was this cache here that I hadn't known about. I sure wasn't going to leave without trying for this smilie so a little walk to GZ it was and a cache hunt began. How come when you look in these sorts of locations it's almost always the last one you look at? (Ha, ha. Well of course it is, because once you've found it you stop looking). Anyway, it wasn't in the first, second, or third place we looked but it didn't take too long. A very sturdy cache container of a good size that was in great condition. Many thanks RockyAy [^][^]
After looking at the setting of another cache in this park we thought we better locate this cache before heading home. I used my stick to poke at what I thought was the cache but was being super careful just in case it was a "Joe Blake"! TFTC RockyAy.
It was getting to be that time of day when people were everywhere so I decided to get away from the more suburban area's and this park looked like a great option. I parked and wandered through the gate and down across the wonderful grassy area.
I soon was in the sort of spot that I have been many many times before. So I did a lap and nothing come up, so I had to look a little closer in a few spots and soon had the cache in hand. I got my name in the log and then headed over to take a look along the creek, quite a lovely little area.

Found it on our drive back to Toowoomba after holidays down the coast great place to walk the dog
On our way from Ballina to toowoomba decided to search in this area today. Lovely big tree, had geodog with us so he enjoyed the park. Thanks.
A very well kept park, awesome tree and excellent container.. and found in perfect weather.. a great day so far
Cheers

It's Freaky Friday, and teamdfl and I are Gold Coast bound for some play time Think there might be some tree climbing, some wall climbing, and a bit of a walk or two [^]
The walk across to GZ was rather damp due to the recent rain, and GZ a little slippery, but teamdfl made a quick find. Good to see a slightly larger container, as this type of hide can be pretty difficult to search. TFTC, RockyAy.

It is a Freaky Friday and as usual I am out having fun with IolantheK. We had planned on a trip to the area to climb some trees and find any other interesting caches along the way.
I have hunted for a cache in this park before. This one seems to be in a bit more of a sensible place - away from the play area and most muggles. [^]
When we got to GZ we thought the cache might take a while to find, but we were lucky and had a nice quick find.

Confession: Since I stay at Lower Beechmont during the week I got this one on my notifications and bolted for it for a FTF. Only 6kms...but still took me half an hour. Once I got near a park near GZ I saw a likely car and some torchlight but to my calculations they were probably still 400 metres off. I parked outside some private property and ran down to the tree nearest GZ and waited for the torch bearers to come...but they never came...and I never found the cache... because the coordinates were obviously wrong. Walked back to my car with my tail between my legs, breaking my trusty pluggers in the mud about 20 times.
Good to see the back of this one and a nice spot after all RockyAy. Nice Park.

After a trek out West a bit I was heading home. A slight detour got me to this park and I went for a wander.
Along the way I spotted something lying in the grass. On closer inspection I found it was an arrow which ended up as a useful "poking around" stick when I got to the GZ.
It was early afternoon but I soon realised that I should have grabbed the torch from my car for this hide. The torch on my phone wasn't too powerful but it did help spot the cache in it's hiding spot on the second or third lap around the GZ.
Thanks for the cache RockyAy. Cheers!!

This week-end is a big week-end event up the Sunshine coast.
Today I am heading to a friends place so that we can travel north together tomorrow.
So today was a few little detours to find a few caches.
A lovely walk around this park land today. Of course I started in one place and went all the way around the tree to find the cache just the other side of where I started.
I also grabbed the TB.
Thanks for the cache.

I found a cache in this park a while back but it has long been archived now. It's quite a nice area so I've kept it in mind for a hide of my own but just never got around to it. Nice to finally see a new one here as it is a worthy location. Ya gotta love the open grass area surrounded by trees and of course the creek. I wish we lived closer so I could utilise it more often.
Anyhow I was up early this morning and everyone else was still asleep so I headed for my closest unfound cache. I grabbed a coffee on the way and soon arrived at the reserve. No one in cooee this morning so it was a peaceful wander over through the drew covered grass to GZ. Wow, what a beautiful big tree. Yep saintmadhouse is right, I probably would have made her climb for it but they all can't be up high I guess.
I wandered around for a while looking everywhere, I started to wish I had brought my torch when I finally spotted it. Ahh, this container looks familar. I signed in, swapped over a trackable and made a swap. Once back at the car though I realised I had forgotten to put my swap in the container, i'll fix that next time I'm in the park.
Thanx RockAy for a great cache in an awesome location.

***FTF***
We happened to find this by fluke. We got a message from a mate (MonkeyMaker) to say there was a new one near us and despite the fine mist of rain we headed out. Hubby in his flanellette PJs and me in my brand new pretty runners and work clothes. We parked at the lower section and we had Jet the Geodog with us and he loved the chance to run crazy in the dark. Since this was a possible FTF we didn't waste time looking for the good torches, we grabbed what turned out to be the dodgiest ones we had, My phone torch was stronger, so with it we headed in the direction the GPS said. As we neared the end of the mowed section we got worried as the GPS said we still had 600m to go. This worried us due to our lack of decent clothing and the rain. The bush and head high grass was not appealing. We had received further messages from MonkeyMaker that this one may not be where listed due to a few factors. Sadly we admitted defeat and we turned off the GPS and followed the edge of the park around to complete our loop and head for the car. As we walked Jet continued to run around and as we approached a MASSIVE fig tree he got busy sniffing and ignored us as we neared. We decided that despite being no where near the GZ listed we would look here anyway, despite all odds it is where we wanted it to be. Imagine our surprise to find it here! Safe n sound! I said that Jet must have picked up on the owners scent. She had placed it today and he knew her, Hubby thinks that is unlikely. I am happy though as its another smiley and an FTF at that. We notified the owner straight away and she is correcting the mistake. I am also glad that is isn't a MonkeyMaker Cache because he would have had us at the very top. A favourite point for its location and also because we managed to find it.
