Found after attending the monthly breakfast event and CITO in Coburg this morning. It's a bit of a detour on my way home, but one that has been on my radar for some time now. What a fascinating area. I thoroughly enjoyed my walk along the creek. Thanks for the interesting cache.Multi-cache find # 992
I found this cache today on a walk out to Oak Park. The math was not to strenuous and the cache was soon in hand a short time later. Thanks from D B-A
Easy counting but lots of doubting and how to actually get to GZ, but upon arrival i quickly spotted the cache, which was being guarded by a sleepy snake, so unfortunately I wont write my name down, but I will count it and for the next person to find it, be careful of any snakes nearby!

After participating in a CITO in Coburg this morning, I decided to pop across Moonee Ponds Creek to hunt a few more caches so I have completed the Moonee Valley LGA for the **WCW - The 80/20 Rule Challenge**. A nice simple Multi that saw scrambling around on the rocks for quite a while before I finally spotted the hiding location. Thanks **Alsume** for putting this cache here.
In the area for a stroll hunting caches with most of team_roberts1 on a lovely afternoon and this was the last one we attempted. Got to GZ and gathered the required information, calculated GZ coords and went for the hunt. Had the cache in hand after a good search (lots of potential hidden holes here, just had to spot the correct one!) Thanks to Alsume for this one (and for all of your hides around here! Will be back to find the rest.
Was almost an epic fail at question 1... concentration hat went on calculations done. GZ had me in a twirl.. I walked past the cache on my first search....then retracted and found something slightly out of place to find this cache.
Out and about on trusty treadles on another multi mission and found in nook of time! The trail has been on my agenda for some time so a wee detour here whilst in marvellous Melbs has finally got me here. TFTC and the FUN.
Last one for the day. I particularly enjoyed seeing the rock here and the signage explaining the usage by Aboriginal people. Interesting that there appeared to be an artefact right nearby also. Tried not to disturb the muggles.
Undeterred by the cloudy weather we headed out for a late afternoon bike ride of about 12km along the Moonee Ponds Creek Trail.
We made this our southern-most turnaround point. There were some muggles at WP1 and we didn't want to skip this one, so I explained what we were doing. Which was a good thing, as I messed up the calculations and circled those muggles for 15 minutes before correcting my error.
We liked this unusual silcrete rock outcrop at GZ.
Thanks, Alsume.

Came along here with goingplaces2 and soon worked out where GZ was. Cache was retrieved, log was signed and all was replaced. Job done! TFTC.
We were headed for the sidetracked cache with ilook4geo and got even more sidetracked by this multi, as we just could let it go by. It proved to be straight forward to work out and a nice quick find too. Thanks for this diversion go to Alsume.
Found It!
A few trips back and forth from the sign to make sure my co-ordinates were correct
The park bench and table at this location was a great place to sit and write down the clues
Had a fair look around GZ, the first likely hiding spot that looks well traversed is not it! Being a little hesitant to put my hands in there, i'm glad i didnt as when i aimed the torch in there i saw a scaley figure, not sure if it was a snek hibernating in there or a blue tongue lizard.
Kept looking around and finaly found it after about 20min
Great hide, TFTC!

Resuming the trail after my previous visit. Had to widen the search area a bit would brought a greater array of suitable hidey holes & then made a quick find. Left a TB, TFTC!0
Found at 10:36 am.
Myself and OzHockeyChick headed out again today to continue this trail on the scooters and the weather was perfect and we managed to find all that we looked for. We had both found a few different ones along the trail so in a couple of sections we split up and then joined back together.
Sometimes you just don't start the day well and although we calculated correctly we spent way too long looking here. But if you look from the right angle from further away it is quite easy to spot. All the practice finding caches just sometimes doesn't help. Thankfully this was our longest search for the day and it got much better after that.
Thanks Alsume for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.

A day of scooter caching with spiffy-, continuing along the trail where we left off a few weeks ago.
This was our first for the day. Gathered the required info and headed to gz where we wandered around in circles with no luck. Spotted a couple of likely locations, but no cache in there. After widening our search area, I resorted to a PAF who’s useful information had us standing in front of the cache asking ourselves how on earth we missed that!!
Thanks for bringing us here today by placing this cache, Alsume

Well I thought we were going to get a lot further in 1.5 hours but this was as far north as we got. A convenient table to sit and refuel while I collected the information required and did the arithmetic. A brief search in the wrong place at GZ before re-assessing and then I spotted the cache fairly quickly. TFTC!
Neat place here! Took a bit of a break to watch muggles passing.
Dropped off a travel bug on his way!

Found in the dark. What a beautiful place that we pass by so often. Will be back just to sit another day.
Wondering along an all to familiar trail for daily exercise. A simple multi as I wandered the path. TFTC
Found by Aussie Train Driver 26/02/2020, find number 1529.
This was my next find during my afternoon walk along the creek. After making the required calculations I proceeded to GZ and walked past the cache several times before I spied it's hiding spot. TFTC!

Found while out scooting with the kiddies. So far we have beaten the rain, lets hope it continues. TFTC
We continued north along the Moonee Ponds Creek Trail and came across this neat little multi. We had no trouble locating the information board, collecting the data and calculating the location of the cache container.
As the first rain squall for today arrive we headed to GZ. Mrs Y'stassie started her first circuit of the site. She was a little wary of poking in some of the low holes as there were definite signs that a slithery beast was in residence. On her second circuit she spotted something that warrented a second look. Closer inspection revealed a well hidden cache container. Container and contents were in good condition.
Thanks for this cache Alsume. We enjoyed reading the information provided on the cache page. We check out the old lichen beds and the rock formations as we went.

Have flown down to Melbourne from Sydney for a 2 week training course at the Melbourne Tullamarine Airport Air Traffic Control Centre, but my main interest will be in collecting as many Victorian (VK3 in HAM radio terms) caches as possible during my free time away from the workplace. My primary caching target areas will be the Woodlands Historic Park (with it’s 100 plus caches), the Moonee Ponds Creek Trail, the Outer Circle Railway Trail, the Donaldson’s Creek Trail, the Ruffey Creek Trail, Eltham (Diamond Valley Railway), and the suburbs surrounding my Essendon apartment. This was the 6th of 10 finds for the day, and the 46th of 242 finds for the trip.
After finishing the day's training I headed back to the Essendon apartment to get changed, then headed out to grab some more caches along the Moonee Ponds Creek Trail, heading northward up the creek towards the Albion Viaduct (railway bridge).
Quickly gathered all of the required information at WP1 then, after a few computations, it was off to final GZ for a nice quick find of the "stash". TNLNSL, and then replaced as found. TFTC Alsume.

I had a Saturday free to cache so I got in touch with the Rev to see if he wanted to come out and try a few. He was free till midday so I picked him up at 8 and we headed to the Moonee Ponds creek trail to check a few along here. Having found a few further down the creek we walked on to this one. Rev hasn't tackled many multis but they don't get much simpler than this one. WE gathers the information and foudn that GZ wasn't far away at all. After a short search (and with me heading the wrong direction) the Rev made the find here. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables. Thanks for the multi cache Alsume.
One of my first multis, many thanks to the tarbitt for instructions and the gps ! Good fun, TFTC
I had to pick up a slide for the kids from Airport West this morning so I decided to do a few hours caching while I was out this way. I saw this nice looking strip of parkland which was chock full of caches - so I was on my way! Loved this multi, I quickly got the info from the sign and then wandered off to GZ. I loved the geology of this area, thanks for pointing it out. A nice hide and I was on my way - TFTC!
In town for the MEGA and thought we would spend the day collecting caches along this trail, headed out on the train with our bikes 20kms ahead and many hides along the way. Two flat tyres and a couple of DNF's many, many muggles that snuck up very quickly.
A quick multi with a quick find.

Moonee Ponds Creek has undergone a total transformation over the years! Today as we pedaled around 18 kms along the trails collecting smiley tokens, P-P relived his childhood adventures among the tall gum trees, rocks, ferocious thistles and scented aniseed. as he grew up in Strathmore.
Another interesting location highlighted by Alsume today. GZ almost brought us undone, so many possible hiding spots, we were tempted to give in; when taking a further investigation from a different angle revealed the cache.
Thanks to 'Alsume' for placing this cache on the geo-gameboard.

Nice easy find, a detour from doing the Moonnee Ponds Creek Trail with Melbmatt50 and my sons cachemstr and craycraymstr
With some spare time to pass this morning and being in the area, I set off for a pleasant wander along the Moonee Ponds Creek Trail. This section was most excellent, it started feeling more secluded and peaceful. After noting the numbers I took a seat at the nearby table and calculated GZ. Heading off I arrived and after widening the search just a tad, I spotted the container. A nice little multi that works well and highlights the location well.
Thanks to Alsume for placing this cache.

19 for 22 on the day now. I wonder if I'm going through caching fatigue or what, as I managed to decipher the coordinates easily but I looked all over for 15 minutes for another DNF.
After I finished my work commitments in the city I had a few hours to spare before I had to head to the airport and home. I decided to try and find a few caches along and around this trail. I worked my way up one side of the stream and then back down the other. Nice multi. I collected the information and worked out where to go. Cache found safe and sound. TFTC, Biggles.
Today was my monthly outing with Biggles Bear, as well as the 2017 Caching Awards event, so we did some before the event, and then more after the event. we quickly grabbed the required answers, then headed to GZ where the cache was quickly located. I don't think I'd been to this area before, but it was a lovely spot for a short walk.
Thanks to Alsume for the cache.

Out with au.fait, we gathered the numbers then sat in the shade to work out the co-ords. Quick find of a well concealed cache. Thanks Alsume.
Read the sign. Extracted the required numbers and soon afterward had the cache in hand. TFTC Alsume
#3 of 6 - saw a blue tongue lizard in a likely GZ. Will return when he’s vacated.

I had time for one more before I had to be somewhere else
Read the sign, got what was required and sat down at a convenient table to work out GZ
( I hope it was your idea for the table to help us Alsume )
Of to GZ and after a quick poke around I soon had the cache in hand

Trip along the Moonee Ponds Creek trail tonight. Picked up a bunch of caches to clear up a bit of the area. A mistake which saw some adding instead of subtracting allowed us to search a random area. Surprise, it wasn't there. A rejig of coords had us in the right spot and a quick find. Tftc
Trailstevo and I headed out for one of our usual leisurely sunday evening strolls and as always we get carried away, just one more cache, just one more cache, just one more cache......... Is that the time? Whoaw..... we better march back flat out as usual. around 11km covered in total and 13 cach I think. Some great hides along this trail and a few quick multi's on the way too which is always nice. Definitly a few favourites to giv out. TFTC.
A short window of time after work so I thought I would head down and pick up a couple of caches along the path. A quick set of calculations to work out GZ and a nice little hidey hole for the cache to live in. Thanks for the cache Alsume.
Headed out Strathmore way this afternoon to grab a couple of multis for our Multicache Month Challenge. TFTC
Suscoe decided to have a day out inside the ring road on the western side.
It was a beaut day, warm, with some cloud and sun.
A strong wind in the morning and a cooler breeze late in the afternoon.
All in all it was one of those delightful Autumn days that we love.
A pleasant walk, found the info.
Sorted GZ and found the cache.
Geo happiness really!!!!!

Nice easy Multi, Muggle count was low, so that made it easier. thanks Alsume, great cache. TFTC.
A mercifully quick find compared to the nearby Sidetracked. Love those multis....
In fairness to the previous finder, whilst using my droid I did spot the hide from some metres away whilst at GZ.

Believe it or not, this was our second attempt to complete the cache.
First time we were rained out and we were using the phone as the main GPSr.
We also learned the hard way on how to put the next stage into the phone.
Anyway, lovely day and that cleans up all the caches in the area.

I'm targeting multis, and was at a function I kind of wanted to escape, so excused myself and squeezed in some quick caches. This was the third - I wasn't sure if I'd have enough time before I had to be where I needed to soon, but hey, there was another multi here so yep, I'd take the chance. Beautiful walk along the tracks here that I've not explored before: fairly busy but its a nice Sunday arvo. Water flowing after the recent rains, and plenty of birdlife around.
Found the required info, made the calculations at the convenient table (thanks!) and off I went.
Spot on coordinates led to a quick find. Nice area and nice reading. Thanks for another multi cache Alsume

The geo-son and I had decided that we should take the geo-dog out for a walk so I had a look to see where would be a good spot to also grab a few caches. Oak Park fitted the brief.
As we were searching for the cache a little head poked out from a pile of leaves and made us jump a mile. Just a lizard...this time! I dropped off one of my pathtags. TFTC.

TFTC had to redo my calculations twice as I was in a bit of a hurry and did not read the description correctly. Great spot but took me a lot longer than it should.
Grabbed the needed information yesterday while finding nearby cache, and came back today for the search and sign log book, great hide with very good cords, even had time for some TBs to have a sunbake on the rocks nearby, while visiting this cache, thanks again Alsume for this and other hides which I will eventually find and sign
Wow! This little discovery is just awesome! Love a good lichen! Who wouldn't? Thanks for leading the way! I solved the coords nice and quick and went to the spot - admired the rocks and lichen and then, as others before me, thought is it there?..... Oh ... I see it must be there! And there, indeed it was. I will explore this Reserve further with the kids as it is very interesting. Why the Moreland leader doesn't do a weekly feature which highlights these little spots, I don't know!! I would run that paper very differently.
I had actually solved this a while ago....no idea why I didn't collect it then! Any how, I found it today on a lovely walk in the sunshine. TFTC
Found this cache today as part of Multi May for the Multi Month Challenge. I had learnt my lesson by the time I came to this one and checked all my maths before moving from waypoint one. My phone was jumping about a bit here and the fact that it was getting dark didn't help my search for the final. Eventually I found it in a logical place and signed the logbook. After doing this cache I realised that there were 2 more trads that could be collected on my way back to the car so I decided to collect them to round off my numbers.
Thanks for the cache Alsume.
Thanks for the cache Alsume.
After a slight miscalculation, we figured out the final co-ords. We also got the chance to show the kids what lichen was! We saw the rare moss also! A lovely little embankment, with not many muggles around today. We found it really peaceful just sitting on the rocks for awhile. We dropped off a Fish key ring and picked up a travel bug! That was a bit of an unexpected find. TFTC
Today I found my 35th Alsume cache which must make me one of your top clients! Anyway it was all I expect in a short offset multi on a now very familiar stretch of the Moonee Ponds Creek track.
I also like any cache with the name 'stash' in it as it harks back to the early days of caching circa 2000 when everything was a stash, buried to the lid. Thankfully this hide wasn't,
Cheers

Out and about with 80 degrees to celebrate Australia Day. Decided to clear out a few in the north. Managed to find the very slim line road into the parking area. Mr X needs to get close. While the men checked out the motor the Mrs's walked to GZ and did the work. It was but a short walk and ascend to make the retrieval. Well hiden and not to dicy amongst all those other holes. Thanks for the cache Alsume and bringing us to another unknown location.
Today we headed out for a few hours with xambo4u so decided to concentrate on a small area of Strathmore. The women walked on to this one and found the sign and calulated GZ where we made the find before walking back to check on the men folk. TFTC
I read the information and worked out the required coordinates easily, which I always appreciate the opportunity to do. From there it was a quick search and find. Thanks for a nice little multi!
I usually try to do at least on multi while out caching and this one was it today. A bit of a read, a bit of some simple maths, a bit of a search, and a find. A spot of passing interest too, thanks Alsume.
That is such a good hide for the cache. I didn't believe it could be there to start with - I though I had make a mistake. Thanks Alsume.
Out on an afternoon riding and caching with the daughter. Took a chance to have a rest in the shade at this little area. I made her do all the calculations, and a short walk had the cache quickly in hand.
I woke up this morning and thought, go west young man and so, here I am, hunting for cache!
Decoded the clues quickly and moved on to the GZ and had the prize in hand just as quickly on this glorious spring morning.
Thanks for placing this cache Alsume

This one, a nice classic multi, gave me the find I desired and a smile to my face as well as the log. Thanks, Alsume.

I thought had the co-ordinates wrong as the only place I thought it could be hidden required for me to put my hand into a cravis in the crock.
I was about to give up and then something caught my eye.

While having a Sunday afternoon meander along the bike track, we went up to the sign, did the maths and made our way to the GZ. The kids had a great time climbing and clambering, and after a bit of a search we found it. Tftc.
The pavilion certainly has been lavishly refurbished since I was here last! Cool day with last nights rain making for a slippery approach. Clever hide, T4TC
I was in the area 2 days ago, and this cache wasn't released then , instead I was sizing up a tree that I couldn't climb. Today after work I found a spot near the tennis courts and strolled down to the sign and did the sums to arrive at a wonderfully coloured GZ, thanks for the cache here
FTF - and the first FTF for Team Justice.
We saw the cache appear and it was close to home. We know the area well and Strathnaver oval and it was a quick drive hoping no one beat us too it. It was a dark night and it didn't take long to arrive at the sign. A quick count and a bit of maths, we had the location.
The location was very accurate and we soon had the cache in hand. A nervous look at the book, and yes, FTF. Thanks Alsume for another cache along a lovely winding Moonee Ponds creek.
