Day 2 of our Mudgee to Orange weekend, we're taking the back roads (those less traveled!) to Bathurst. The car GPS spent all day in vain trying to convince us to turn here and there, but we took the longest way possible I'm sure.... Another day of great conditions, maybe a little too hot, and we made 50 GC finds, with a pair of GA as a bonus.
Saturated, can't be signed.... needs replacing.

This church looks as though it has been sold and is now loved. Renovations we can see have been carefully done . We admired the church then looked for the cache which was not in the most obvious spot but very close. We replaced the log which was super soggy. I hope the renovation continues sympathetically.
Headed to Hill End for camping during the October long weekend. Of course, some caches were to be found. This was one of them.
Day 2
With the COVID19 restrictions lifting, we decided to head to the Bathurst area this long weekend on a Geomission with Rapidlywild. Our intention was to attack the TRLT trail and others around the area.
We had a great four days, only a few DNF’s but mostly smiley's, and have left plenty for another adventure. Lovely area to cache in and we look forward to coming back for some more fun and laughs.
Thanks for the hide rogpol and thanks Rapidlywild for another great weekend away.
Apologies for the generic log, thank you to all the cache owners for their efforts.

With COVID19 locking everyone down for so long, a MUCH overdue geocaching mission was welcomed. FurfacesLL #1 and myself decided to head towards Bathurst and attack some of the TRLT caches and see how far we can go. Spoke to a few of the CO's prior to heading up to see if we could assist with any maintenance that was required, so we went prepared with some camo containers and some fresh log books. We had a wonderful weekend stretching the legs and enjoying the country side.
Thanks for the hide rogpol And thanks to the FFLL ladies for another fun weekend out and about the TRLT trails and others

This was our third day of searching for caches on this trail, having started late in the afternoon two days again. The first afternoon the weather had been cold and wet, and yesterday dry but very chilly. Today the weather was perfect - beautiful sunshine, warmer and only a gentle breeze. The scenery was simply stunning along the roads the series took us along and so once again we had another great day out geocaching. This one was a nice quick find once at Ground Zero by this lovely old church ️. We signed the log book and then replaced as found. Thanks so much for the cache and greetings from Zimbabwe
Travelling from Bathurst to Mudgee and caching along the way. Thanks to all the COs for placing the caches and showing us around your region.
Travelling from Bathurst to Mudgee . Finding many different caches in many differenTCt locations. To the CO's thank you for placing these caches there throughout the countryside and towns. TFTC
On a lovely Autumn day on the way to White Rock for a family birthday, frazeydaze and I took a slight detour through Sunny Corner, Palmers Oaky, Limekilns, Wattle Flat and Sofala. Meandering through pretty mountain ranges and densely wooded gum forests we found a few caches, including this one, along the way. TFTC
Out caching with oldmorty - a further 33 of TRLT caches found. Quick park and grab. Thanks rogpol for placing this cache here for us to find.
Spending a couple of days in Bathurst to fill in some in TRLT series.
Again, most were easy finds today.
Some nice views on this section.
More bitumen and cars than I’ve had on other days.

Loved this church. Definitely picturesque. Shame it is so far away as we have spoken of purchasing a church and this one is lovely. Thanks for the cache.
On our way home from Bathurst and getting a few caches on the way. What a beautiful old church. Looks like it's being renovated now. Easy find, first one Miss6 has signed. T4TC and the lovely stop.
Looks well cared for, but very lonely today (Sunday). Thanks, rogpol, for keeping me occupied today. I have enjoyed your caches.

Quick find. Tried to pet the horse but it didn’t feel like a hug and wandered away. T4TC
A road trip with Stephlego, WillPunkey and Scoob which started near Bathurst then down to the snow near Jenolan caves back to Bathurst for some ice skating and then a drive to Toowoomba Qld with a few caches to break up the trip. Thanks Rogpol
its not quite lunchtime but wattle flat was where I wanted to eat, so figured i'd do a few of the caches just outside town and create a circuit to come back around. this is a lovely old church; i'd always wanted to buy a church to live in - now I think it would be interesting but expensive to heat. tftc rogpol

We are heading to Bright in Victoria, we dont have to be there til the end of the month. We are caching as we go, wherever it is safe for us to pull up with the van.
We arrived in Sofala this morning unhitched and went for a drive to Wattle Flats.
Found, but almost lost a fingernail retrieving the cache. Thanks rogpol

Leaving Bathurst we headed for Sofala and did some caching along the way. Luckily we found places to pull of the road with the caravan and once in Sofala we were able to leave the caravan at the waterhole camp near town and cache more freely. This was one of the caches we targetted and found. Thanks to rogpol for placement of this cache and adding to our enjoyment of the area.
Easy Find. The church must have sold looks amazing. Would have enjoyed roaming the cemetery if time was on our side.....another day. TFTC
Have finished the family xmas duties and we are now free to cache yipee, so here we come trlt series. These are the sort of caches we love, getti g out and about into the country. Its a warm one today. The stonework on the church is fabulous. Tftc
Headed up with nissan 65 for another few days caching. Today we are heading towards Sofala and MudgeeThanks for the cache . Cache replaced
Would have earned a FP (if we'd found it) for the incredible story out the back. One headstone had carved waratahs, which Mary hasn't seen before in other cemeteries. Our thanks anyway to rogpol.
On the Road Less Traveled series (and surrounding countryside) with Steeba.
Sadly, despite our best efforts, we could not turn up anything here today.

14106. Found during a run through the Bathurst to Mudgee region this long weekend.
Having completed the southern part of TRLT series last month I had the northern part of the series on my radar for this long weekend - plus as many extras as there are along the way. Leaving home this morning I was caching before lunch on the outskirts of Bathurst heading north. All but two of today's caches were found and all were nicely hidden with good sized containers. This was the next find for the day. Quick find at GZ. Log signed, cache replaced, and I headed off to the next one.
Thanks to all the COs for their caches - it was a great run up through this area.

Road trip North to tackle The Road Less Travelled Series with JordsAU! I’ve wanted to try this trail for a while but hadn’t found anyone to try it with. I ran it by Jords a few weeks back & after checking the roster for the week, the stars aligned and we started organising it. He was aiming for “200 caches in a day”, so we planned the trail as best we could!
Monday – we drove up to Gulgong to start the trail. We worked our way down to Mudgee (~30 caches) before setting up camp for the night. We had an early night so we could smash out a big day.
Tuesday – packing up at sunrise and setting out, the big day begun! We reached the first 100 by 2:00pm (7 hours elapsed). We were worried that we weren’t going to reach the 200 milestone considered how far we had to go and how long we had been tracking! The stretch from the Great Western Highway to Oberon made great time and we were on 150 caches. Instead of heading into Oberon to set up camp in daylight, we decided the best use of the remaining daylight would be to push through into the night for the last 50. Eventually we were down to the last handful, when we hit an area of the forest that had been logged. To make up the last few, we assumed there would be caches in Oberon, so we drove 50km back to town. We made the 200 at the Oberon Memorial Site and called it a (long) day.
Wednesday – I was all ran down from the big day, so we made our way back home! I found a few in Sydney, and made the drive back down home. It was a good to unpack and have a nice hot shower. Now for the long laborious task of entering these logs!
Thank you to all the Cache Owners along this trail. It was a real joy to visit another part of this great country we call home. It’ll be easier for me to return to the trail via Goulburn/Crookwell to finish off the series (and hopefully visit any further extensions). TFTC’s!

2/5/17 Found with muppet95. Muppet95 mentioned to me that he was keen to hit up The Road Less Travelled series and we decided to take a few days off to go on a bit of a road trip. I wanted to shoot for a goal of finding at least 200 caches in a 24 hours period and we made plans accordingly. We drove up to Gulgong on the first day and arrived in the early afternoon. We started The Road Less Travelled series there and headed south towards Mudgee, picking up approximately 30 geocaches on the way. We spent the night camping on the outskirts of Mudgee and had an early night, with the expectation of an early start to have the best chance of reaching our goal of 200 caches the next day. At the crack of dawn on day 2, we packed up camp and set out on the trail, finding our first for the day at 7 AM. We then spent the next 14 hours travelling The Road Less Travelled, caching the series and picking up some additional caches along the way. We powered on well after the light of day had disappeared, because we were on a mission and were resolute in our efforts to achieve our goal for the day. We reached a point, down near Gurnang in the pine forest, where the area a cache in the series was supposed to be had been logged and we could not continue, without backtracking and going the long way around. We made the decision to turn around and head back to Oberon, where we would pick up the last remaining few to reach our target number. I am very sad to say that on the way out of the pine forest, a wombat ran out as we were driving past and was struck by the underside of the car. We stopped immediately and I rushed over to its aid. The poor thing was in not in a good way and I did what I could to provide some comfort but it faded away within a matter of minutes. The accident is very distressing and upsetting, and it put a real dampener on a long and tiring day. There was nothing we could do at that point, so we continued on our way back to Oberon, picking up some more caches in town. We reached our campsite and setup, keen to rest up and have a deserved sleep in. It was another cold night, definitely dropping below zero degrees. We woke in the morning and, after packing up, we made our way back to the big smoke. Thanks For The Caches to the respective Cache Owners, and for putting this series together, which takes us on a different route along the Road Less Travelled. We will have to come back at another point in the future to try and finish off the series, and hope that one day the series may be extended further for everyone’s enjoyment.
A day out picking up some more of the caches along TRLT and others that were nearby.

Travelling from the Sofala and headed towards Bathurst along this awesome autumns arvo collecting a few caches along the way. Thanks for the maintence of the caches.
Found with Brewmaker while on a two day adventure finding caches in The Road Less Travelled trail series and other nearby ones.
We started at Meadow Flat and then headed north (having previously headed south on another adventure) through Sunny Corner and Palmers Oakey before camping overnight at Wattle Flat. Then it was on to Sofala Sally's Flat, Pyramul and heading north towards Mudgee before we ran out of time. Will have to come back to finish the series. Most caches were easy to find and it was a very enjoyable drive along these country roads some beautiful scenery, historic places, native animals etc.
We found this at night under the guidance of torchlight.

Found with MikeV1. Over two days we managed to grab 100 finds while attempting part of TRLT series. We started at Meadow Flat and headed north passing through Sunny Corner, Dark Corner, Palmer's Oakey, Mt Horrible, Turon, Wattle Flat, Crudine, Sally's Flat, Sofala, Pyramul and Aaron's Pass, before detouring to Mudgee to refuel and then head back to Sydney. We had a great time taking the Brewmobile along these rarely used country roads, seeing some amazing scenery, old homesteads, cemeteries, plenty of wildlife and natural landforms along the way. Most of the hides were easy to find with good coords and hints. Thanks to all the COs for the time & effort that has gone onto placing these hides.

We did The Road Less Travelled with Calypso62 and skebomonkeytown, staying at a lovely property in the Capertee Valley for two nights.
Another prop from the movie I hadn't seen. Took a few of us to check the spot before we saw the cache!?!

Day 2 of our fabulous adventure with Skyebomonkeytown and Team Canary.
After enjoying a delicious dinner at the Capertee pub last night and staying over at my mate’s place in the valley, we commuted back to The Road Less Travelled to continue the journey. It is obvious this series took a lot of effort to organise and to get it up and running. A big thank you to all the COs for your hard work. It is greatly appreciated.

Had a great weekend with Calypso62 and Team Canary attempting the first half of TRLT (most logs signed as a combo of C62 TC and SBMT). We stayed at a friend's place in the Capertee Valley and "commuted" both days through the lovely countryside. We also incorporated the Mudgee parkrun into our weekend on Saturday morning - C62 and my first. Thanks to all COs for the series.
Just like out of a movie, there was burning off nearby at the house across the road. With a second look we found what we were looking for!

This is a great day out caching and I am so pleased 3-Kings and I decided to come this way. Thanks to the COs for what must have been a lot of work putting these caches out. Great time had by all. What a shame to see the church in this condition, hopefully the buyer will clean it up. TFTC
