Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache ridgeedidge, nice easy find. RVCL.
I love caches with a story behind it, as this one has. The hint is right, you just need right location. We had to go a bit further to find the right log to log!
Day 22. A last minute plan had been hatched to make my by way to QOGM. Very little planning had been done but a very rough outline was in place and it was going to be a day by day trip.We sadly said goodbye to our fellow team mates The_Tritonz after celebrating Ms_Tritonz birthday, and I set off for a day caching with posums in Barcaldine.A nice quick find as the day heats up.Thanks ridgeedidge for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to enjoy.----------------------------------------------------------Are you planning a trip to Victoria? Check out some of these caches on the nominees list for the 2022 Victorian Cache of the Year Awards. The shortlist is available [here](https://coord.info/BMC8QYR)
Well my trip up to QOGM started a couple of weeks ago and after taking the very indirect route up to outback QLD to get there. So after cruising up the Hume to Sydney then the M1 and A1 up to Byron Bay with a few other roads in between as I have been cris crossing a bit so after heading west and making it to Longreach time for a break from the travelling. So after a couple big days out to Stonehenge, Isisford and Ilfracombe, The Tritonz and Roaming Howie finally joined me and we did the puzzle trail. Then a fun first muster day to Muttaburra and back then a great tea event and a few more caches.A trip to Stonehenge and back again for so now a new day.The second muster day and boy what a busy day as there was a lot going on in the car with everything we had to do.Collect trads, look at photos, find some forks and then some property numbers as well. The Mexicans as we were called teamed up with a couple of other cars The Morris and Pool Pool to have a lot of fun over the radio.Well all the caches have been found and after another great dinner event QOGM has officially finished. This was my first one and I had a great time, but all good things must come to end and today I had a big drive ahead of me to my next accomodation which was Ilfracombe as Im staying at the pub just to tidy a few things up.Roaming Howie and I headed to Barcie for the day just to pick up a few random caches. After consulting the Satellite maps we found that there is a way around the back of the Showgrounds then the golf course to do a loop.A nice story behind this one. Thanks ridgeedidge TFTC.
Quivk find here, disturbed a sleeping snake though. We came for QOGM 23, and sadly the show is over. Now we're making our way south and grabbing some more old QOGM caches as we go.
Something special or unusual goes here:Found it. The Generic Bit:QOGM adventure - I was able to catch a ride with Muff1 who were heading to the QOGM event and team up for 3 weeks of caching adventures. 3 weeks in a swag - will my back hold out[?]Day 11: Today we moved from Jericho up to Barcaldine for the lunchtime event, then down the road to the Camden Park Event and finally we arrived in Longreach caching along the way (as usual). It might have taken 11 days to get here but we had a great time, found many, many Adventure Labs and a variety of numerous other types of caches. The Muffs even 'won' a FTF at the lunchtime event. That will take some getting used to! With our new home away from for the next week it was time to start some serious caching.**SAs Leap Year Event GCA1DNA - keep the date free - 29th February 2024. - BOING*****Thanks ridgeedidge for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. *** Logs prepared and published through GSAK.

32,980. Found during our Queensland Outback GeoMuster (QOGM) 2023 Longreach Adventure - a 33 day epic tour of Northern NSW and Outback Queensland finding many caches, attending great events and catching up with awesome Cachers along the way.Queensland Outback GeoMuster (QOGM) 2023 Longreach Adventure Day 15. Today we headed from Blackall up to Barcaldine cleaning out more caches. A few nights there will hopefully let me clean out the area before the move to Longreach and the main event (actually lots of events). We keep bumping into fellow Cachers which has been a lot of fun and will keep getting better and better at QOGM itself. This was the next find of the day. A quick find once at GZ. Signed the log, usually as F65 A33, replaced the cache as found, then we continued on our journey. Thanks to all the COs for putting out these caches !!
We are nearly at Longreach for the QOGM 2023. Staying in Barcaldine for 2 nights, slight change in plans so we can go to the luncheon event on Sunday.
We solved some of the puzzles before coming, so we’ll do those first! And now for some non puzzles!
Thanks ridgeedidge for creating, placing and maintaining this cache.

Stopped off here and found after a short search.
Thanks for placing the cache and doing the maintenance needed, so we can find this cache.

Outnabout for some solo caching while camping in town overnight. We’re taking the roundabout route to QOGM 2023 at Longreach. It’s always a great day for caching.

For anyone making Geo plans, do yourself a favour and visit Australia’s only current Geotour at Ballarat while it lasts: https://www.geocaching.com/play/geotours/ballarat-victoria
And for anyone that can travel to Longreach, Queensland, late September 2023, Google “QOGM” which is the Queensland Outback Geocaching Muster. You’ll have at least 8 or 9 days of pure geocaching fun with around 200 like minded people attending a mix of events and access to over 200 geocaches placed by the QOGM team. It’s not a Mega, it’s better.

GPS out about 7 metres for us, but hint was helpful. Found on a rather warm 34 degree winters day!

Today's leg of out trip Longreach to Blackall. Arrived at the caravan park in Blackall to find that the free wifi is only for Telstra customers... so we are now catching up on around 60 logs!
Had a great time caching in Longreach. Boot went to the QANTAS museum, Bee completed more puzzles!
Found as part of our 'north for warmer weather' trip from North East Victoria to Central Queensland, via Curtis Island! We have enjoyed the great variety of caches along the way. Thank you to all the COs who maintain the caches along the way.

Logging old caches originally found with alphag_25. Now have my own account and logging them separately so that I can claim the finds or not as the case may be. TFTC.
We are on a 2 month trip from Portland via the Mundi Mundi Bash to a wedding in Brisbane and then out west for QOGM in Charleville.
After a very good nights sleep at the weir we headed into town before it got too hot and tried our luck at a few caches. The long grass sure added to the challenge today.
Thanks for contributing to the fun ridgeedidge

Found it with pippahiccup on a western run up to Mt Garnett. But rain and road closures hampering us. Can only get cashes that we aren't in a foot of water. But getting to explore at least. What an interesting town.
On our way north for a family event in Mt Garnet. However, Barcaldine had 6 inches of rain in 24 hours and we are spending today filling in time trying to decide whether to backtrack or wait for the roads to reopen to move onwards.

Thanks for the cache ridgeedidge!

Out and about while MENO headed out to Lara to set up.
Well, this journey started about 12 months or more ago, skip 2020 and we find ourselves planning a long-overdue road trip. This means one thing ... a cache run would be involved. One or two different routes where planned caches were studied, some more than others (manly puzzle styles), and a plan was hatched.
It includes the most number of puzzles we have ever solved personally, Wherigo's, and even a few 'FTF' (FTF) FTF caches. The distance that was driven is approx. 3500 km. Over some 10 days. 14km of muddy, red, and black soil 4wd only slip-sliding heart-pumping road - which we got through without incident only to get bogged a while later on the side of a tar road doing a U-turn.
The total number of caches found is yet to be determined, could also depend upon my logging them, as those who know me also know my lack of logging or length of time to do so could mean the correct total will never be shown. Still, it’s not about the numbers.
Logs have been signed with any one of the following, JABs, FWBs, TasReach, MEMO, or TR. Often depended upon who was signing the logbook, time of the day, length of the days caching run, sleep-deprived state, condition of the logbook. Penned often in the first available spot (except in the case of new cache), in between other cache's names. Hopefully to help extend the life of a logbook. The date was not often recorded, again to save room and maybe a little time.
Distance travel is undetermined, basically, fly from Hobart to Brisbane, drive northerly to Gympie, out through Gayndah, Monto to the Westwood, and then turn west straight out to Longreach, with a part-day layover to collect all those 92 solved puzzles. Home is hopefully via Jericho, south through Mexico and into Blackall then down and cross to Roma, Toowoomba Brissie and fly home.
Meeting up with great family friends of ours to share part of this journey MEMO, the cache name TasReach or TR for short was born, been both Tasmania and Longreach. So wished each cache could have its own story, but in that case, I would never finish logging. So I thought a long story was better than a TFTC. But hey thanks for the cache anyway.
JABs.

04/01/21 Today caching around Barcaldine and surrounds. Roadtrip Mackay to Emerald to Barcaldine to Aramac to Blackall to Jericho over the next 3 weeks. Lots of puzzle solving before and during trip. Searched area and found GZ . Replaced and signed log.
Day nine of my outback Queensland trip and I am back in Barcaldine for the next 2 days. Having completed a few already due to the rains it will be fun to continue on around the town, maybe even get some knowledge while I’m here. Wow there is so much to do in and around this town and some really fun caches. Again I will have no problems in continuing my challenges of a trad a day and a cache a day.
Caching on my own again and am enjoying the freedom of where to go and when. This was a great little series. I drove up to one and worked my way back into town, all caches were easy finds and in good condition.
With the log signed and cache returned as found, it was onto the next one. Thank you for placing it here, I really enjoyed the drive around this area today.

Day 360 - We ventured out again in barcaldine and eventually we managed to find 9 caches today which was a nice couple of hours out and about in the town. Also it was a series of finds only and that was a real reward.
After making the wrong turn this cache was found after stopping just near it and making the short walk to the location the cache was soon in hand, the log was singed and all returned to the location it was found.
Thanks ridgeedidge for this wonderful place to stop and cache.

No golf balls today, and an easy find for us thanks to the great hint. Sounds like ol' Warrigal was a bit of a local legend. Thanks for bringing us here and sharing Warrigal's story. Cheers from Bindair Dundat and Princess Madelyn.
Nomads travelling in their caravan around Australia. We have been on the road since July 2011 and discovered caching in August 2013. We travel with a bunch of travel bugs belonging to our sons and grand children. Where ever possible, we will maintain your cache as we travel.
Still travelling towards Barcaldine for TheLongestLine (of RVs) World Guinness Record attempt. BRC is very proactive in gaining greynomads to visit. This is one of their attempts. Geocaching is another. This is one of many caches in the BRC for us to attempt.
Quick find after we set up in the showgrounds for the above event. Thanks ridgeedidge

Our first for the morning on another lovely sunny day. I’d originally misunderstood that the QOGM continued until the 2nd, so had booked accommodation accordingly. Just as well I did, as I have heaps of unfinished business here in town. Especially since more have been added.
So an early start was in order to make the most of the day.
Thanks for a great beginning.
