Found some great little trails back from the road to get here. Great walking area.Far enough away so you don't have to worry about passers by here.

27-Sep-23
Visiting from Brisbane, we were having lunch with relatives in Lysterfield before heading back to the airport. They were not quite home when we arrived, but I told them not to worry as I could easily find something to do while waiting.

25-Sep-23
My last job for today was nearby, so I took the opportunity to search out a few caches before heading home. A short stroll down the path to GZ, my GPS was not really very helpful, but armed with the hint and the satellite map, I searched likely spots. Getting closer to one particular location, I spied the very well camouflaged critter. All in good condition here. TFTC The Rustys

Over 4 years ago, we DNF'ed this one.
Today, we were driving past and thought we should have another go.
This time, we saw the sneaky little thing almost straight away.
Thanks The Rusty's for keeping this cache going so that we got to have another try.

31-Oct-22
I was looking for a cache for October with just a few hours left, and this one seemed a good choice - one I've been intending to find for years, and I was going to be driving past as well. Parked in the side streets and passed some skeletal trick-or-treaters braving the elements.

After the heavier rain earlier in the day, it was a little wet underfoot but not raining much, and it took a few minutes before I found the nicely hidden cache. I did enjoy the caches in this series, thanks for this cache too.

29-Oct-22
What an awesome cache! Favourite point from me. My son excitedly called out “found it!” Before I even had a chance to search! I was looking for something tiny but it is quite big. Thanks so much for hiding such a fun cache!

A little stop off on a long bike ride. Just slightly tricky to navigate the bike to the right spot, but an easy find once I did. TFTC Smile

28-Nov-21
This is the second cheeky little bug I have found in this series! Thankfully Cyril was easier for me to find than his friend as he wasn't on a steep hill and my phone GPS was behaving today.
I've been down this road many times and honestly didn't realise the parklands/nature strips alongside it were so dense. It's quite a pretty spot! A few casual wanders around and I soon had my eyes on Cyril. Despite it being a Sunday arvo, this road was still quite busy. Thankfully some teenage boys were climbing fences and being silly on the other side of the road so they drew more attention than my stealthy search did.
Thanks for the cache!

21-Nov-21
It was nice to get out and about and do some caching with quiet1_au today. This was our last stop for the day. We parked in a nearby street and walked along the track until we found our way through to the clearing and soon arrived at GZ where GMelb made the find. We collected the hint …. We’ll have to find all the others collected over the years lol Time to be on our way to other commitments now.

21-Nov-21
Last cache of the day for G&J of GJMMelb and I, we parked in a nearby street and walked along a trail until we found a clearing to get to GZ where G' soon spotted the hide, one we all probably haven't seen in a few years at least due to the various lockdowns, etc. Clue gathered (thanks to J remembering we needed to check for one!) we rehid the cache and headed on our different ways. TFTC - hopefully we can complete the series soon!

Thanks to The Rusty's for this one.

Pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis is the longest word in the English language. It is a medical condition, called Pneumoconiosis that is specifically caused by inhalation of very fine silicate or quartz dust. The challenge today was to find a cache with the first letter of each cache title to match each letter in this word. Why would I do this? Well, because there is a challenge of course (see GC5EWGV, Scrabble Challenge-Beckworth Beckons).
So, a LOT of planning went into this day. You see, there are 45 letters in this word alone, which meant identifying 45 different caches that I would have to find, one each starting with each of these letters, aacccccceiiiiiilllmmnnnnooooooooopprrsssstuuv. That’s 14 different letters and just for good measure, I identified a bonus cache for each letter, for when the inevitable DNFs were to happen. Which means there were now 59 caches on my list for the day, spread out from Maryknoll, to Berwick, Cranbourne, Lysterfield, Lilydale, Woori Yallock and then into the Dandenongs. I expected it to take me most of the day but in the end, because of 9 DNFs and a number of times where I had to hastily look for other options, I only finished it with minutes to spare before midnight.

The letter C was a tough one. There are 6 in the word Pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis which meant with only 1 back up cache identified; I couldn’t afford really to drop any of them.

These caches always frustrate me. I don't know what it is, but I find them so hard to spot. Usually. Noty today though. Got it straight away! And with 12 finds straight now I was on a roll and feeling supremely confident about my day. A feeling that was about to come crashing down very soon as I was to be tested!

The Wife and Daughter take the dogs to training in Knox on a Wednesday night, bit of a drive from Warragul but gives me a couple of hours to go caching in the area.

A nice quick find on this one, I was glad of that as I always find this type of container in trees hard to find.

Thanks Rusty's for the cache.

Well spent more time trying to find a parking spot on the residential side of GZ then finding the cache. I figured if I even attempted to park on the side/grass of these tiny roads that I would be screamed at by the residents who are all home at the moment... So finally got onto a paved spot about 250m from GZ and slipping on the mask meander to GZ for a super quick find. Yesss... Series now completed with just the final to go. It's been a fun series. Day 21/365 of the 365 streak challenge.

Good find!

18-Apr-20
Needing to work out the location for the final, and I hadn't done this one cache in the series, and I needed the clue. I figured it has been a while since it was found, and Ii used sanitiser before and after. I was on my way home and this was only a slight detour, so not an unnecessary outing!

15-Mar-20
I parked on the estate side as suggested and after a short walk I soon had the little blighter in hand. TFTC

23-Feb-20
Love bugs! Not sure why I missed this last time but GPS in phone spot on. A wee detour from MTB at Lysterfield AND motivated to keep the streak alive. TFTC

26-Nov-19
Returning home from picking up our new chicken feeder in Lysterfield, geo kid 1 was not in the least bit interested in picking up some caches along the way. So we settled on stopping to pick up just one as geo kid 1 was due at her trampolining activity soon. I found one that was easy to stop at. We did have to turn off the main road still but it wasn’t to far.
With geo kid 1 in the car with the grumps, I walked over to the GZ. Expecting a harder find, I quickly located the cute cache. With the pen I had on me not writing on the waterproof log sheet, I had to go ask grumpy kid for another pen which she reluctantly supplied. With the log now signed and cache returned, we continued on our way home.
Funny day today with one half of the sky beaming with sunshine and white fluffy clouds, and the other side dark and stormy looking, a bit like my geo kid.
Thank you for the cache here The Rusty’s

The first of 8 caches today with Fitzelfleas and geochild, having found the fifth of this series a couple of days ago. Really like this series Smile TFTC

Found this afternoon after a basketball game nearby. Parked up in the nearby estate, the entrance to which I’ve driven past hundreds of times but never been in. GZ was a short walk with a very excited little geoson. Once we located the right GZ, geoson’s height and unique view in, resulted in a very quick find. Log was soon signed and back in place! Thanks for the cache, another one off the list!

14-Jul-19
A quick found while on way home from other caches nearby. Thanks for the cute cache.

Out and about with nothing much to do so caching it is. This was a nice quick find, and we remembered the clue. YAY for us. Can't tell you how often we forget. Thanks for the cache.

Have to be happy when you finally remember to get a clue. Nice quick find. Thanks for the cache.

Looking forward to meeting you Cyril.

14-Jul-18
Had a good look, pretty certain this one has been mugged. Tree at GZ has been badly damaged to make a cubby of sorts.

14-Jul-18
Will need to check on poor Cyril

12-Jun-18
We wee on our way home and saw that this little cache was nearby. We stopped and hunted for the cache. After sometime we still couldn't see it. There is a makeshift cubby house with planks and matting around GZ. We located a bolt at eye level, but nothing else.
Thanks anyway The Rusty's.

Heading home from caching day in Belgrave/Monbulk/FTG area with crank1. Weather was too warm and very humid after cool morning. I got hit by a thin branch on my forehead slightly lucky no cut or bruise at all. Found it and cute cache. Thanks The Rusty's for the cache.

Was about to give up when I spotted him. Nice hide! Tftc

08-Oct-17
After finding this one, spotted original log strip nearby. Managed to cram it in to the bison assuming that it wasn't meant to be where I found it. Hope this was helpful!?! It's pretty cramped in the bison with the 2 strips though. Let me know if you would like me to undo this.

It turns out Cyril is a football fan. A top tip for others going looking, is if you go when a game is on, Cyril will be barracking for whichever team is winning. He admitted, once I finally found him, that he is fickle like that. Just as he is with his home. Packing up sticks and moving out for a few days, just to annoy his fellow cachers! Well he has returned, and has volunteered to behave for the rest of the football season. Not following football, it was only when I got home and was told its grand final day tomorrow, that I realised he had pulled the wool over my eyes. Good luck to fellow Cyril finders. May I suggest you search while he is screaming for a winning team, and perhaps, today or tomorrow Smile TFTC The Rustys

28-Sep-17
A return today has seen Cyril returned to his natural habitat!!

27-Sep-17
Me and my son spent 25 mins to no joy today! We will be back with more eyes

25-Sep-17
Cyril just wasn't nice to me today. I tried to visit him. I tried calling out to him. I tried messaging the co (who promptly responded). Even with all the help And encouragement in the world, Cyril just didn't want to see me today. There is always next week Smile TFTH The Rustys

19-Aug-17
I drive past here quite often for someone who does not live near here. I always just seem to run out of time to drop by. Today is the day I do have a couple of minutes up my sleeve. Thanks heaps

10-Jul-17
We are getting closer to finding the location of the concert. Only one more to go. The kids are getting good at spotting the jitterbugs by now and reserved this one for the littlest geokid. Tyftc.

02-Jul-17
The final find for the day before returning to collect one of the kids from a birthday party (currently our weekends revolve around this). This was a short walk and a relatively quick find. With Hawthorn to play Collingwood this afternoon I am hoping that the Cyril cache name, despite Rioli out injured, is enough of a sign to see the Hawks defeat nanton34's team (although sadly this most likely will not be enoough). tftc

27-May-17
Found on the way home from Geodaughter's basketball game. Having found one of the others in the series already, we knew what we were looking for. Weirdly though, I spotted the container before I saw Cyril.

Thanks The Rustys for a fun diversion on the drive home

01-May-17
Searched all over and this one eluded me. I'll need to come back again another day if Cyril is still here!
