Today the geocaching plan for Taurus Six and I was to meander our way to the International Geocaching Day event in a Toodjay. We have both taken the day off work to give us more time to get there and of course more time for geocaching . Our route was to come up the South West Highway and collect a few caches along the way, specifically between Serpentine and Byford. Brunch at Byford before heading to Armadale to pick up a couple of Adventure Labs . The next stop was a couple of caches in the Kalamunda LGA , because we have not yet got that one yet. Before hitting the Toodjay Road from Midland . The weather was overcast and a little cold in the morning and then the sun came out in the afternoon, however it was perfect for geocaching. All in all a great day of meandering, exploring and geocaching .This was our sixth cache find of the day along this busy stretch of the South West Highway. Another nice quick and easy find. We had it logged and replaced before we were on our way again. Thanks for the cache find .
Out with axell33 tidying up some caches! A nice quick find here with all well. Thanks for the hide SmplyR3dd.
We were out clearing up a few caches in the area so we stopped for this one and it worked out to be a nice quick park and grab. We made our mark on your log and returned your cache back where we found it. Its always nice to do a welfare check on one that hasnt been found for awhile and happy to say this one is doing just fine. TFTC SimplyR3dd.
Clearing up a few of the SWH series this afternoon on my drive back home from Donnybrook. This was a quick park and grab. Tftc
This was the quickest find sign and replace ever! Thanks to the cache guardians barking and waking the neighbourhood. TFTC

We found the little box and log us in.

Turned this frown upside down on a little caching outing this arvo. TFTC SVKR_WA
I saw the new ulyssia cache pop up during coffee after my morning run. By midday, it wasn’t found so I thought I’d give it a go and found two more SWH caches along the way.
Back in my double pluggers, as the sun is heating up too. Second crack at this.
Log was really wet.

It’s been years since I’ve travelled the SWH. Thanks for the cache.
It was a mission to get here since there are roadworks on SWH and it’s single lane here. The lady holding the sign thought I was a nut when I came back down the Highway to turn in. The cache was buried but is very much present.

Another arvo of rolling down SWH dodging traffic and nabbing a few caches.
No luck here today. Searched around the trees.

Popped past on a maintenance run. Indeed this one was missing. Replaced and is awaiting a find again.
From previous logs it appears this cache has degraded and the last log along with mine are DNF. Can the CO please check in this one.
Off on another day hunting with Ebenie & Geotrakka. At least the sun is shining today after a very wet day yesterday. Running out of daylight Thanks
Awesome thanks out with PollyMichele and Geotrakka. Totally wet. Can’t sign. Left card
Found but clip is not sealing on one side and contents is soaked after the heavy rain yesterday. I put a waterproof log in but needs maintenance. TFTC
This one had an unexpected gorgeous cache guardian - unfortunately a lot louder than I would have liked. Fortunately he lost interest when I wandered back to the car to sign the log.
Thanks for the hide. Not much luck finding the caches I intended to today as they were taking too long. I picked up a few easy SWH caches so I would have some numbers for the day.
We headed out to collect some more smilies around and along the SWH today, we are happy to say that we came up trumps here, most of today's finds were quick, we loved the variety of caches that we came across, thanks to all CO's that placed these caches for us to find TFTC
Such a nice day that I thought that I would try and knock off some more of the SWH caches and a few others on the way. Most were found quite easily although a few took a little longer. It was so green down here with lots of fat cows and some beautiful wildflowers to look at. Only a couple of DNFs so a good day Tftc
Headed out on this nice Saturday arvo with the hubby to pick up some caches a bit further away from home to help us close in on a milestone soon. Quick find and replaced as found. Tftc
Day Eleven of our holiday in Western Oz.
Bettyboo3747 and I have spent the morning on the South West Highway between Jarrahdale and Pinjarra, and the afternoon trying to find a cache that still exists on the way back to Rockingham.
We found bit of a sistema spread around and feared the worst! But then BB spotted the replacement container. Phew!
Thanks, Robmc.

#12675. Day 11 of our WA holiday and our 6th day based in Rockingham. Robmc and I decided to tackle the SWH Series between Jarrahdale and Pinjarra. We managed a nice run of 44 caches before lunch and then the wheels fell off somewhat as we made our way home via Mandurah. So many caches were not viable so we didn't feel like wasting time searching. It was hard to find some caches that were still in play.
We could have had a DNF here as we spotted shattered bits of Sistema near where we parked. Fortunately I also spied the tell-tale camouflage nearby and lo and behold there was the old lid attached to a new bottom. Phew! That was lucky. Names in the log and on we go.
Thanks SVKR_WA

Remembered this container had lost its clips and quickly ducked in to swap the base out with a new one while on a SWH run.
On our way down to Burekup and on our way we decided to find some geocaches!
This geocache was a easy find as most of the SWH trail of geocaches are hidden in containers like this. We admired the landscape as we found the geocache.
TFTC!
That brings us to 210 finds now!
Cheers,

Took my mum out for a day of geocaching fun. She is great at spotting caches before me and doesn't let me forget it, I think she needs her own caching account.
While I sent my mum to look further along it meant that I made the find here hehehe

Found it and replaced it as found with the addition of an elastic band to hold it tightly closed, as unfortunately it seems the clips have snapped off and nothing was holding the lid on. Thankfully cache and log were still dry!
The last one for the day. Time to head home for dinner. Thanks for the day's drive
After dropping daughter at airport at 1.30pm to head home we came this way to cache.
The plan was to find as many as possible on my list before it got dark.
Managed many km and 26 on the way home, which all helps as this month is my numbers month
a quick find as the day is getting later

All good and replaced as found

After a couple of days of coastal caching, we headed inland and picked up quite a few caches as we explored the National Park area and learnt more about the Serpentine Dams. Heading back to base we were able to tick off a few more names on the SWH... list.
Interesting to find the last call was some 5 months ago by caching buddies ian-and-penny.
Thanks SVKR_WA for placing caches for everyone's enjoyment.

Hi there SVKR_WA.
We found your cache **"SWH...Granett"** at 3:13:00 PM today. This cache makes our find count 14933.
Our plan for the day was to complete some of the SWH series, together with a few others that were also close to the highway. We thoroughly enjoyed our drive attempting caches to the left on our way north and picking up the ones we missed on the return trip. We found a variety of container types and sizes hidden along the way, and also managed to pick up a couple of trackables.
Thanks for placing the cache here, without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places on our travels.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found the cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** A Smiley Badge if the container was large enough.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny.

I had some spare time today and I decided to try and tackle some of the South West Highway caches. All the caches were found fairly easily with the odd one taking a little longer than others. Thanks to all the cache owners who have placed a cache here. I loved the huge variety of caches - some very small, others very big. Many of them were very unique
In total, I found 15 caches today. All of the caches were found in a good condition, I signed the log books and replaced them as I found them. Thanks for the hide.

TFTC headed out today as B12 was working for the most of the day. So decided to go to caches that he has found and I haven't as yet, with the rare days that we are not together caching.
Steve eventually finished and met me to collect a few together.
Some great camo caches in byford were found and some great containers hidden also.

Quick drive down the SWH to pick up some caches. I found your cache thanks for the hide.
**this is a late log** I have recently made a major upgrade to my GSAK license and found this lovely feature that automatically tells me what caches I have marked found in GSAK but never logged on geocaching.com!! Yay, Clyde, you can have my money anytime! The caches I am logging in this batch were ones I found during WA Goes Big 2016. In an interest to get completely caught up, I am logging my past finds in bulk. I still have work to do after this, as I need to locate my notes from all of my earthcaches, but once those are in, I should be very close to current. I appreciate all the effort you go through to create and place your hides and do not for one second take it for granted, I just need to get caught up so I can return to my once pleasant logs. Cheers!
On the WAGB weekend. Made a quick find here, then looked up to see someone looking directly at me from the adjoinng property as I was doing the business. Hope I haven't compromised the cache.

Catching up with some late logs, therefore this unfortunately is going to be one of 'those logs'. I apologize in advance for the generic log, A combination of limited time and too many to log dictates that a generic log is best. I have enjoyed the hunt and being outdoors in this great country of ours, partaking in a pastime that I thoroughly enjoy. I usually head out by myself, but I thank those that have had the misfortune of my company in some of these ventures.
Thanks SVKR_WA for placing this cache.

Travelling to Pinjarra for the WA Goes Big weekend after flying over from NSW on Wednesday. Searching for the SWH series plus a few extras. Most were found, interesting variety of caches containers appreciated, a few took a bit of searching to locate and there were a couple of DNFs. Also found was an ants nest, a bee hive and an emu!!! Thank you to all the COs for putting out these caches.
Heading down to Fairbridge to organise some things for WA Goes Big, so decided to stop here and log this one.
