Just the wooden flooring is getting replaced. They are now plastic. Still a possibility that it is missing.
Have passed this by several times as wanted geo mum around incase something happened to me but geo son talked me into giving it a try and success. Finally get that blue face off my map. TFTC
It's nearly 5 years since my first dnf here.
I've tried to enlist a few people over the years but risk assessment has always let me down.
Today geodaughter said she'd do it and it didn't take long for her to find it.
That's my last OTD cache.

Put the sweat wheels on the car today and headed south, with primary aim being a couple of trads left in the O'Halloran Hill Recreation Park which is in my 42K circle from home. After that I headed further south to the December OTD series where the bike would also be useful. Ended up finding all 25 left in the series.
Was a little worried about where this one was going to be, but when I saw the structure and with the terrain rating knew where I needed to be. Once I was there, it was a quick find and stamp, before heading back to safer ground. Would not be doing this one if it was wet.
Thanks LíB for the cache and the series.

Me and my partner found it, lovely hiding place nice and easy to get to..i started to climb under to bridge until i didnt see it and like the idea of clambering under a bridge above water.
Down south again on Tuesday the 21st of July 2020. This one was on my radar with it's interesting hide and T-Stars
Had a good look from the bank in case i could see it, to save an extended search given the fact Muggles can appear out of thin air here and being seen on the 'outside' of the bridge railing would seem a little odd [:o].
Didn't see anything so i bit the bullet and just went for it. There was no Muggles bar the ones parked on the other side of the structure but it covers me from their curious eyes so all good there.
The find was reasonably quick and the log was signed at 10:14.
The pigeons weren't a fan of my presence and i wasn't a fan of their crap on the pipe... i was very cautious of slipping on it when on my way out and back. Hanging on is of utmost importance... i'm not really in the mood for a swim... in the winter cold aswell! [:o] It's a long way home and with no change of clothes with me lol
Thanks LíB for a most fun hide. Not often you find ripper ones like this in PT's so have a Fave Point for this cool one and also for the old bridge and views here [^]

Wasn't game enough for this one with so many people around. Looks like a good one though, will be back.
Not sure I tackled this one as intended but fav one for the power trail for me. TFTC
Out on the Shonky bicycle for a ride along the Seaford line with Uni and Medusa. The idea being to catch the train to Seaford and ride back and cache asking the way. Uni did the pipeline honours and found this one after a short search.
Thanks for the cache.
Thanks for the cache.
Call 000... heart erratic.... flippn pigeon flies out in front of me, whilst under the bridge.... i didn't know this nana knew "that" word!
I don't like power trails. I don't like the emphasis being on quantity not quality. If a cache is only worth a copy & paste log entry the the cache is not worth bothering with at all. I commute to work on this bike trail so I've been riding past these little suckers twice a day for years but honestly, I couldn't be bothered getting off my bike bike for them. Having had that whinge, this particular cache is an exception to the norm for power trails.
I was browsing the geocaching map the other day when I noticed this cache. It looked like an interesting hide so I thought I'd stop on on my way home from work to investigate. It was actually a really cool hide. I did it on my way home as it was after sunset, giving me some added stealth. However, I got busted by a muggle pedestrian couple whilst I climbing along the pipe. That was awkward.
I remember climbing across this pipe before the current bicycle / pedestrian bridge was built about 20 years ago. Back then all that was left of the original rail bridge was the concrete footings and this pipe. The climb was a lot scarier when there was no actual bride to hang onto.
Thanks 3LG for this really cool cache. However, I will continue to ride past the others in this series.

I ended up spending most of the day down south with [@gridge98](http://coord.info/PRGKDMY) targeting new-ish caches around Willunga and McClaren Vale. The breakfast club event at Morphett Vale meant there was a reason to come this way, and the first part of the morning was a little sporadic before we did a few of the Cats and Dogs series, and then tried to clean out Willunga. A nice day out with just over 50 finds.
This one was a pretty fun climb actually, as we got a hint from the CO what we needed to do with this one. I had to keep steadying myself during the transition, but the pipe was pretty stable actually. I then instantly saw the cache, and was in very good shape. Similar to some other logbooks that we had seen, it appears that this logbook also shows some inconsistency between the physical logbook, and those that have logged online. Thanks 3LG/@LíB.

Davidwazza did the honours here, not as bad as hat it could be,
Out for the day down south to solely go to the 3rd breakfast club event, with not much of a plan other than to just find caches Davidwazza and I set out to find cache around McLaren Vale/Wilunga area. A nice day out with just over 50 finds.

Had to give up looking for this as little cachers started doing dangerous things. Will try again a low tide maybe....
Finally plucked up the courage to btry this oone. Easy! Picked a hot day when no one wwould see me. Tftc

In the area for a nice morning walk and stopped by to check on this 1, cache still in its position
Yeah .... nah. Just saw the terrain stars and know what might be needed. Cool views though
Found during a very pleasant day cycling along part of the Coast to Vines Rail Trail, enjoying the exercise, searches and scenery. Thanks for the cache 3LG!
Terrain is way too hard given my current fragile state will need to return with geohusband tfth
Spent the afternoon caching with NurseyJulie in the southern suburbs, before taking her to the airport for her return journey to Qld after a weekend of motor racing. TFTC.
I had attended the Adelaide 500 at the weekend and had the whole day today to do some annual caching in SA as my flight was later tonight. After a most of day with Brisal5, I was meeting up with Firesafe for the rest of the day til my flight home.
We had an idea where this one was, but could not see it. A quick call out and realised what we needed to do. Firesafe did the honours and soon had the cache in hand. TFTC 3LG

We have been trying to get to this cache for a while now and it was finally cool enough to leave the house today. We knew it was something different with the D/T rating so came prepared. Mrs Crumble was wearing the most appropriate footwear for this retrieval so Mr Crumble did the navigating. Thankfully no one wandered past. Thanks for the fun cache
Unfortunately fishing muggles made it difficult to give a really good search.
I joined fellow members of the Puzzled Puzzlers Group (S.A. Sewer Rats, doctor owl and blackadders) for a day with a mission.[8)] - Get S.A. Sewer rats to a find total of 4999 so that she could go and find SFE - 5000 finds for her magical 5000 th find. . Should be a piece of cake. But finding a group of caches that we all hadn't already had at least one find on was near impossible. [xx(] So we ventured down south and when I joined the others we still needed almost 30 finds.
With the tally at 2 finds and 2 DNFs it was time to hit a power trail and get some caches. Not having bikes we decided some walking was in order. [:o)] We walked out to centre and had a quick look. Then we had a look at the terrain rating. Knew instantly where it was going to be. They all looked at ME. Geotool time. So I walked back to the start of the bridge and took a different approach to get back to GZ. Plenty of pigeons about and cache quickly located. It was far easier than it looked. I love this type of caching. [^][^] This one gets a FP for putting it there.
Thanks 3LG for this cache.

The geotool was again deployed, with the cheers and encouragement of the chicken-hearted.
It was organised by the wise Owl Starfish and Snake to help Mrs Rat get to 5000 finds.
So the Snake picked Mrs Rat up and we met up with Dr Owl.
We then met up with the starfish at another cache.
We had a mammoth task to find 30 caches, before a dash to the 5000th cache.
The Geo tool was deployed again, as the rest of the animals were a tad chicken.

Generic Log :
At an recent event there was a whisper that a particular Rat was nearing her 5000th find and that she only needed 30 to reach the goal. Mr. Blackadder, hearing this thought Hmm what an opportunity to get out on such a wonderful day with a small but fun group of fellow cachers and to witness the big 5000 finds he would invite himself along. Picking up Mrs SA Sewer Rat, meeting an Owl and then meeting up with a Starfish would make for a good day out. With a few minor disagreements on the navigation aspect we finally made a number of finds including of course this one. Many were easy and a few were not so obvious however smileys were eventually gained. TFTC and the series, some of which will need to be completed at a later date.

Out on the geo-bikes to finish the series we started quite a few months ago! Ol did the balancing act to retrieve TFTC
Tricky one but found it after reading activity logs. Let someone else retrieve it for me! Dont try in the dark... Tftc
After searching the top of the bridge & finding nothing we looked at the terrain rating & decided to send one of our braver crew to search elsewhere & with guidance from the rest of the crew , this resulted in a find of this well hidden cache.-----SL---TFTC

Thoroughly enjoyed this section of OTD series on a beaut warm winter afternoon on the bikes with Shetland. 14 finds and 1 DNF. Great fun at this one watching MrPony and Shetland deciding on the best approach and then sharing the adventure. Thanks for providing this series for our enjoyment.
Continuing to do the OTD series in date order (well, as much as possible) and finally we've made it to December . Out on the bikes on a cool, clear morning was invigorating , but at least it wasn't raining .
Our adventure cache of the day .
Our first thought was that we'd need a canoe for this one, which would have blown our whole quest out the window . Took the T1 route to mark the spot, then Mr DISK went back for the T4 high wire performance (so glad it wasn't slippery) . TNLNSL.
With a bit of patience, we reckon you could do this as a T2 [8].
Thanks 3LG.

Jumped on the mountain bikes with the geowife and grabbed the caches along the Coast to Vines rail trail. Really enjoyed getting this one. Noted the terrain rating and did the walk. Walked out to just past the cache and then checked along the entire length of the bridge to the northern end... doh! Went back and found it Signed log. Fav point for the adventure on this one.
After a previous DNF on this one because I was too buggered to try the balancing act, I returned today with new enthusiasm. With some fishermen on the other side of the bridge, I checked they couldn't see me where I was going. And out I went. A few cyclist flew past, and the odd pigeon or two jumping out all trying to scare me off, but I was determined I was going to make the find. It wasn't too long until I'd reached the location and I stared looking. Not here. Maybe a bit further. Not here. Maybe a bit further. Not here. Maybe a bit further. Ahh - there's the sneaky sucker. And cable tied in place - this one ain't getting away. Lid removed, log retrieved, pen gingerly removed form pocket to do the signing. All placed back and off I went back along the pipe. Getting back was much quicker than getting out there. Glad to have this previous DNF cleaned up.
Thanks for the cache 3LG. Found on 25 Mar 2017 at 3:58 pm. Find #4347.

Having just met the COs at an event in town (nice to meet you) we asked about this one and our suspisions were confirmed. Off we headed keeping a sure footing while keeping an eye out for the cache. Plenty of pigeons hiding under the bridge and fortunately we did not disturb them enough to make them fly off but they did make a few noises. The hide was found a little further out than the phone said and it's not a bad view from GZ. We completed the signing duties and re hid. TFTC. A favourite point from us.
I took one look and thought, "Not a chance I'm going over there!". Better luck to the more adventurous.
Decided to head down south today with the goal of filling in a few gaps in my D/T grid. not much driving was done in the search of caches, which meant that some pleasant walks were had it the beautiful sun. After a short walk to gz, a short poke around the plausible areas and I laid hands on the cache. The log was signed and I was on my way.

Having met the lovely Whitepaws9 2 weeks ago in Warnambool I was lucky enough to spend a day with her today, caching our way through some great walks and sights in the southern suburbs
The autumn leaf only fell twice , there was only 1 DNF and 14 caches were found
By the end of the day we were both a shade of pink from the unexpected sunshine and 27 degree warmth but we had grins on our faces from our finds [^]
Having done this trail in the dark, I didn't attempt this cache then and today I graciously allowed the very brave Whitepaws9 to make the retrieval
Style and class all the way as she retrieved the cache with a huge smile

So, took the plunge-- or not, haha-- and went and found the cache, signed.

Nice little time finding this one, windy day made it a bit of a tough time to find
*FTF* With my dad after he picked me up from school. I enjoyed running whilst my dad walked
do we need a boat to find this one? My gps shows its in the water? Possibly coordinates are incorrect?
After finding the first two caches from the northern end of the series, Mr y'stassie came to this cache. It took a few minutes of trying to locate GZ and reading previous logs before Mr y'stassie concluded where the cache might be located. Getting to it was well beyond the physical skills and so he left this area and returned back to the car. We may return as a team at a later stage and have another look.
Maintain solid footing and do not attempt to carry your GPS while approaching the cache. Keep your arms and legs inside the vehicle at all times. Watch for the two-wheelers as they pass, for they will surely be watching you thinking....WTF??
Lap #2 of my DT grid is now complete. TFTC 3LG.

Derryn Hinch used to describe pigeons as flying rats. I'm not saying he was right ...
I read the logs and brought my pen, but it wouldn't write, so my name is scratched on the log
Found it just in time as an ENORMOUS group of muggles rounded the corner.

Myself, clare007 and hevwalker tackled this series today! Perfect weather for a wander although this weather meant that the track was like Rundle Street ….. with what seemed like every bike in South Australia wizzing by us!!! We found every cache!! All were in good condition and a number of them living up to their higher terrain ratings!! …………………………….. this was particularly true of #22 and #29 ……. On which hevwalker scored her 2000th. Find. Thanks 3LG for a very enjoyable series!!!
#2000 for me...it was a choice...either attempt the pipe walk or leave a green dot instead of a smiley for the sake of a few nerves...I chose the walk...CPwanderer & Clare007 thought I was a bit crazy...starting out was all good...Clare was directing me to GZ from above...bent to see where the cache was & a pigeon flew out right in front of my face & scared the bejeevers out of me...thank goodness I was hanging on well... there are heaps of pigeons & eggs under there...I was feeling a little nervous...don't look down, don't look down...managed to find the cache, got the lid off...managed not to drop it...passed it up for signing...oops no pen so I was just hanging around for awhile taking in the views until they returned from where we had left our backpacks...a few photos for prosperity & made my way back...it took quite some time for the nerves to settle down...talk about an adrenaline rush...lets do that again...

CPWanderer, hevwalker & I assessed the situation from the bridge and the riverside.
hevwalker was keen to try a balancing act on another nearby structure [:0]
As I was directing hevwalker to the spot where we spotted the cache,
everything happened at once; hevwalker found the cache without a pencil.
I spotted a fox crossing the track behind us while I went to grab the pen,
and a nearby glider flew over the river missing a photo opportunity
Cache returned, hevwalker still in one piece, it was a bit surreal.
Thanks for the adventure & the location 3LG

This duo always does things the hard way, but sevzMc for the win and Lizstarbeam for the win thanks for the experience my gosh it's hot enough to go for a swim... Should have pushed him in hahahaha
Geodad had an idea of what it would take to find this cache. I had other ideas. After examining GZ from afar both geodad and I agreed we saw something suspicious... With a bit of teamwork we managed to turn a 4T into a 1.5T. TFTC 3LG.
After completing October I continued onto December and I was happy to find all 62. It was a great day of bike riding and geocaching! 46km later I'm a bit tired!! I liked this cache. Bit scary with pigeons scaring me every two seconds but eventually got it.

Well this one was different !
Tribbles are soft and fluffy and unlike us would probably bounce and float if slipping while retrieving caches!
Much visual studying of the challenge and reading of logs resulted in some frog gymnastics while nurse matty stood by for safety. A fun variation on the trail.
All done while out for a weekend of cache finding with Mr and Mrs Froghoppin.
I stole Mrs Frog's bike to join Mr Frog on the rail trail and Mrs Frog
went hopping around the nearby markets for some other special finds!

Aaaw we would have liked a tribble. Cool series, the other wannabe sci fi series never matched up to Star Trek. Beam me up Scotty.
Now to the cache......this was a time consumer, but we don't do defeat well. Not helped by the GPSr making us do the round and round dance either.

I could win an award for most caches found but not logged online. Please forgive this very generic log. But you see, its SAGA nomination/voting season and my votes won't count if I don't log my 2015 finds... If I admired your cache you'll get a favourite point from me and I'll likely come back and edit this log once I've caught up. If this generic log makes you unhappy - delete it. Life's too short to worry over it, I had fun finding your cache either way. Cheers!
Down this way again, so we went for a walk with the pooch, from the road, and found GZ muggle free today.
Decided would be easier to find using the 4*T method than the other 'safer' method! Found very quickly without any special equipment or GPSr either, then we were on our way with our 10th one of these D/T's!
Nice hide and appropriate D/T when found this way too.

Thanks

I was in town for the weekend because of the ACDC concert.
Desperate to get some caches, logistics for the weekend really meant that Sunday afternoon was my only chance.
How make up for a weekend spend mostly doing other things?
Well, the only answer was to find somewhere with enough caches to do a weekend worth of caching in 1/2 a day. The two OTDseries (October and December) seemed to be the obvious way, so my bike came to Adelaide, specially for the occasion.
Thanks for a great series.
We had a couple of DNFs but had a great time all the same.

You know there is something a little unusual about this OTD cache when you realise that the previous two finders were *Cache_or_Check* and Malco!
It seems fairly obvious that the 1.5/4 DT combo is not that common and as such is sought after by those looking to complete 1 or more DT loops.
Which brings me to the reason I was hanging around GZ trying to decide between the kayak, the pigeons, or the pipe.
After appropriate use of an appropriate app I realised what the correct choice should be and soon had the logbook in hand
