When I first arrived here, the tide was too high to have a dry search. Came back after visiting River Heads and was able to easily traverse the mangroves to reach GZ. Thanks Sweet-sour/youngoldfella!Today is day four of our Hervey Bay holiday. Today I jumped in the warthog and headed to the South-eastern corner of Hervey Bay. Stopping in Wondunna, Booral, Pir'ri reserve and River Heads. After fossicking around the mangroves I headed back north and stopped for a few more on the way home to go fishing. A great, but very warm day out!Heading north on a 5-day trip to Hervey Bay with the family has allowed me to go out and cache the surrounding area. I was able to cram the tredley into the back of the warthog and travel north, stopping a few times. Once to maintain a cache, and another to find a cache. I finally set sights on my destination, Torquay. Over the course of the few days I had, I cycled the new rail trail series of geocaches, did a combined day of shelling and caching Point Vernon, took a drive through Booral and River Heads, travelled to Howard, Torbanlea, Toogoom and Dundowran. On the final day I spot cached as I made my way south, stopping in Walligan, Susan River, Beaver Rock and Owanyilla. I then fought the southbound traffic for a while, then detoured via Yengarie and through Tiaro back to the sunny coast. All things considered, a great holiday and a productive one for geocaching! a MASSIVE thank you to all the COs that I found the caches of along the way!
Headed to this one next. Tide was out. No wet feet. A quick find. Signed the log and returned to where I found it. Thanks Sweet-Sour. All good with this cache.
We are staying at Maryborough for a short time and to help fill in our days we are exploring using geocaching as our guide. We found all the caches that we had targeted for today bar 1 and even with a PAF we had no luck.
One of hte caches bought us to the home of the CO where we had a lovely chat about all things geocaching and we were also offered a hint for the cache that we had not found. All the caches were in good condition and the log books did not need any attention. A huge thank you to all the CO's for placing these caches for our enjoyment.

Another cache down, Thanks for the hide Sweet&Sour.. I usually get worried when i find out im looking for your caches, But this one wasnt too bad!
It certainly is amongst the mangroves. Luckily it was low tide and not even boggy for a quick walk to gz
Tftc Sweet-Sour, lots of kangaroos were enjoying the park when we arrived, they led us directly to GZ where we located the cache. Thanks
Found while visiting friends in the Harvey Bay area for a few days. This was a quick find and the cache was OK. TFTC.
During our short caravan trip, we spent one day in Hervey Bay. We love the spectacular views on the water and to refresh our memories.
And tackle new caches and older ones.
I didn't need a GPS to find this one, because we were couple of times back in the area. Finally a smilie for us!

29/6/21 Staying in Harvey Bay catching up with my Parents who have travelled here for a visit. I am on holidays from Mackay. Beautiful sunny weather today. TFTC SL Attempted at high tide, successfully signed log
Looked and searched. No luck for us but we contact Co for checking.

Heading to Hervey Bay for a few nights for my eldest daughters birthday. Day 1 found 2 caches, day 2 found 1 cache, day 3 found 29, day 4 found 56.
Few DNF's, and recovering from an MCL tear in my knee, there were a few I didn't even attempt, and some I shouldn't have attempted but did...and now sititng on the couch having a celebatory scotch, am certainly paying for it.
Took a few false starts to get to this one, almost ran into someones private property (must be nice to have a private beach) before finally finding a solid way in. Once I was in, the cache was quickly in hand. Left my last remaining good quality pen at the last cache so here I was writing with just the ink stick, but none the less the log was signed. Logs a little damp, could do with a blow dry
Thanks for the cache **Sweet-Sour**

Second attempt at this one. A few months ago this area was overgrown. Now it has been mowed. Worth the effort to discover the easy way in. TFTC.
Using geocaching as a guide we picked a couple caches and went exploring. Thanks for bringing us here
We found this cache the morning with dry feet! Thanks for placing it in this lovely place.
Hi there Sweet-Sour.
We are visiting Hervey Bay for a few days, and today we ranged further afield before logging some caches in the nearby suburban streets.
We found 10 caches today & DNF'd 1. Without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places on our travels.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found this cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** Smiley Badge..
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny.

10.20am - Boggy under foot getting to this cache but no problems to find. SLTFTC
Went to the Queensland for 10 day's, landing on the Goldcoast, picking up a car rental. We spent the first 4 days staying in a nice hotel in Surfers paradise, doing all the Theme parks and some caching... While at the theme parks we got to pat Dolphins, feed Tigers etc. Then we headed up to Australia Zoo, where we booked a Tiger wall, Which was amazing, after the day at the zoo, we headed to Harvey bay, for 4 day's before heading back to the Goldcoast to return car, and catch flight home. Really loved the new Lego store at Dreamworld, went back 3 times.Tftc
We now have one muggle teen awake, as she rings us we hear, bang, bang as her fist hits the bunk above her to see if her brother is awake. She gets the response from us, ssshhhhhhhh don't wake him up!!!! She informs us he has not moved, so you guys keep finding your plastics, cause I'm not getting up any time soon. That suits us, let's find a couple more as it is still before 8am.
We were hopping to come across a loggerhead turtle in here, not sure about the turtle, but we definitely came across a loggerhead...

I think this will be our last one in Hervey Bay for some time as we are heading home to Scotland tomorrow. Had a great time here and some good geocaching. Tftc
**# 17370** Found on the Qld leg of our 2017 winter escape trip.
Another perfect warm winter day for a drive around near Urangan.
Not many muggles around and a good safe hide here.
Thanks for the cache Sweet-Sour,

After a short trek through mud-crab country, we soon had this one in hand. Thanks Sweet-Sour for showing us this area. Cheers from Bindair Dundat and Princess Madelyn.
Parked up and made my way towards the cache but made it more difficult than it should have been because I approached it from the wrong side. Cache all in good order. TFTC Sweet-Sour
Loved this little collection of caches along here. Geokid and geopooches elected to stay in the car for this one but I personally enjoyed the walk through the mangroves. TFTF
Travelling around Australia and currently staying in Hervey Bay, Queensland for a few days .
So very hot here at the moment. Its been airconditioned caravan or airconditioned car! BUT today we changed that and decided to head out on the GeoBikes for a few hours.
After a fish n chip lunch Mrs Felix cycled home and Mr Felix continued on alone as the afternoon thunderstorm approached.

Fortunately for us it was low tide so it did not take long to find this extremely well placed cache in it s good hiding spot. We found that the hint was very appropriate indeed!

Beautiful afternoon after the downpour last night. Quick find after a short search. TFTC.
The geopups were soooo excited to get out to find this one. Great area, tide would've been high but didn't come anywhere near GZ. Only got feet wet from the morning dew. Took giraffe left small pocket tool. TFTC!
Had a day out with Bill and Di Morgan and had fun finding this cache. We found this one without any problem. Thanks to Sweet-Sour for placing this cache and adding to our enjoyment of the location.
We are camped in the RV Homebase for a couple of days.Today we went caching with Liz and Bruce in the Hervey Bay area.
This was a delightful day trip finding many interesting caches in some remarkable area.

No wet feet today, the tide is well out with a pleasant breeze. Cache is in top condition. Thank you Sweet-Sour.
Up at Hervey Bay for Easter ... and out with Lochb's Geomum to find the caches that have been published since my last visit. Or that I missed last time. Or the time before. A quick find, which was appreciated as we were a bit worried about the sandflies. TFTC
Quite a hot day so we are grabbing a couple of caches that do not require to much of a hike. Dropped TB. TNSL. TFTC.
Decided today was the day to conquer Maryborough and Hervey Bay and whilst at it why not Tin Can Bay and all the new ones at Gympie. Left home at 0430 and arrived home at 2030. Just over 600 kilometers of driving. Took plenty of rest and meal stops. This kind of driving and distance is not new to me. 24 finds for the day and no DNF's but came so close a few times but stayed at it. Only PAF twice. Did not get all the Gympie ones as I ran out of daylight and one particular cache , Mail box Multi, took far too much time.
I arrived at a spot and parked off road safely. Very short walk to GZ. The tide had just turned and as the tide was going out the ground under foot was a bit mushy but not that bad. A quick find and all in good order.

FTF at 5:07 am.
Saw this one pop up last night but was too tired to go for it then. I was up before the sun and with an absolutely beautiful morning I thought what a perfect way to start 2016. Woke the geoson up and off we went.
Arrived at the GZ applied the required insect repellent and we headed towards the mangroves. The tide was right for us to search and it didn't take long to find this one. Opened it up and thought we had been beaten to the FTF but we scored another.
A fav point for this one just because this was a great way to start the new year.

Out and about with Sweet-Sour finding a few of his caches.
And he decides he is going to hide another nearby. Well, I had better sign the logbook while here.
So, this is not a first to find claim.
Thanks for the cache.
